Ive started doing couch to 5k. Everything has been a breeze until week 4 when I've suddenly been getting runners hip. Ive been neglecting stretching this whole time! This helped a lot with my pain and stiffness this morning.
I used to run in college and after months of no running, decided to take on a marathon in a few months. Being an impatient, overly-motivated runner, I developed shin splints after the first couple of weeks. Classic. This helped a lot in opening my hips, aiding in my recovery from shin splints as I continue to cross train. Thank you!
Great insights Alejandro. Its good that you have realised doing too much too soon can cause injuries, like you say it is classic mistake! Well done for being here and working on your body to get stronger and more resilient 👍😀
Thank you! I started running 6 months ago and have started to get very tight hips for the last couple of weeks - admittedly I haven't done any stretching up until this point. This video was so good and I feel much more free! I will definitely be doing these after every run now :)

It does sound like you have an issue in that hip that is referring to the knee (maybe seek local professional advice if it persists) go easy on it and try my Glute strengthening video to create stronger stability from the glutes, that should help 😀🙏
Before finding out your videos I hated stretching, but thanks to your routines and approach I'm actually starting to really enjoy it. I’m 41 and started running two months ago. I watch your pre and post run videos pretty much every time, including this morning. This afternoon however I was aware of my left hip feeling super tight and sore, but this video really helped - thanks so much.
That head to knee foot stretch was the first time I could directly hit a knot I've had between my right hip and hammy. Thank you so much for these stretches and the positive, mindful approach 🧘♀️

I was extremely stiff in the hips after my marathon run and this really helped to loosen things up a bit. I looked at some other videos but I found that the movements in this one was just what I needed. Easy to do and loosened things up nicely. Thanks!
