I genuinely believe that out of all the Vault protagonists, the 76 Dweller is the strongest due to Vault 76’s purpose literally being gathering the best and brightest into one Vault to reopen like 30 years later and “reclaim” America.
@nulllight_1396 It's called the bloodied build. +12 on all stats except endurance with constant nerd rage activated, further increasing damage resistance and damage.
Yeah and in the main story of 4 you have to kill a cyborg who could be the protagonist of their own game. Not to mention having to fight the terminator as well.
Courier or Chosen one should be first. Chosen one had no faction help in taking down the most technologically advanced faction in the series Courier 6 was built into legend with what he did in the divide, the strip, and more. Also - both of these characters were raised outside of a vault. Giving them plenty of experience with the wasteland compared to all other protagonists
Very solid argument, I would say...He was monstrous, and equipment power creep makes it a tough call. Horrigan could take out any other beast one on one, though, in my opinion
All imma say is if nate became a ghoul instead of going into cryo, dude would be a force of nature after 200 years. The fact he went into war and came back without any injuries and was apparently a good enough soldier he was supposed to give a speech in Cambridge federal outpost beside the police station, you can go there and use the microphone and nate/nora will say something
Which only gives a plus one to each SPECIAL stat. The Vault Dweller just went through normal surgery to achieve the same effect. The Courier is unable to max out their SPECIAL stats, the Lone Wanderer can, and the Sole Survivor can get all of them to 11.
Overall id say this is pretty accurate but I would swap Courier 6 with Nate the Rake for 1st place because 6 has gone through everything Nate has (except the war with china) and more but the biggest difference is that Courier 6 has tons of augmentations including the GRX Implant which canonically is from Big Mountain and all the implants from the New Vegas Clinic. Nate on the other hand while still being an experienced soldier is still just a normal human with nothing like that.
@@blob6602 you comparing big MT with institute? Also brother the C finder that is in the courier's arsenal can literally one shot every entity in the fallout series including liberty prime (probably the strongest character in the series)
76ers have superpowers and if The Courier keeps his augementations from Big MT and loads himself up with implants from the New Vegas Medical Clinic they'd also be a force to be reckoned with. Honorable runner-up would probably be the Chosen One, Frank Horrigan is not an easy kill.
Chosen One and Vault Dweller can also have themselves enhanced to greater degrees. I think even the Lone Wanderer can be enhanced. The Sole Survivor is the only one that can be confirmed as a normal human.
Honestly I feel like it's hard to accurately say how strong the sole survivor is just do to the fact that most of their "big" feats are fallout 4 exclusive stuff and they never go through any particularly dangerous environment aside from maybe the glowing sea, effectively you have to say the Kellogg and the Courser's are absolute monsters to such a degree that you basically have to put them above other protagonist to say that the sole survivor is anything particularly special in regards to the other protagonist
Kellog is just an average elite merc with some implants. He's not exactly impervious to bullets. Coursers are another matter. Frank Horrigan, on the other hand, is an absolute beastly unit, and even the devs admitted that the chosen one couldn't have beaten him without plot armor. Meaning the chosen one, by default, takes the cake here. Nothing in fallout 4 even remotely comes close to a similar challenge.
@@RedFloyd469 are Courser's that much stronger? I remember Vergil saying something along the line that Kellogg is roughly equal if not a little weaker than them and that someone in the brotherhood saying that Courser's are roughly equal to a paladin in his power armor I remember this from my recent playthrough from the next gen update so I'm pretty certain that that's roughly what's said But yeah the Frank thing is another matter as that being is on another level for basically all games
I’m sorry but anything the institute has made is completely dwarfed by the Big MT. The enhancements the coursers get pales in comparison to what the courier gets
I like the list but me personally I would say the Chosen One is the strongest because of him taking down Frank like you said Frank being the strongest entity to walk the waste even not taking him down alone is enough for me but other than that great list
The chosen one is capable of defeating him alone bare handed he is 100% the best protag physically considering he was being trained all his life. As for intelligence despite being a tribal he surprisingly has some impressive feats based on dialogue choices but id say he is 2nd place
@@playerarmy6890 Not a single being can defeat Frank bare handed. The chosen one only won because he had many turrets and enclave soldiers with him. Wdym he was trained all life? By a bunch of tribals in a temple filled with ants? Thats nothing for a 5 ton beast like Frank Horrigan
Too be perfectly clear....killing Frank is without question the hardest thing in any Fallout game....that alone without even considering ANY other accomplishments puts The Chosen One in the top spot! That dude is an absolute nightmare...and the Chosen One puts him in the ground...
I agree, and like to point out, again, power creep makes later protagonists overpowered, whereas in the first two the protagonist was far, far from powerful. Horrigan literally scared me first encounter....usually my play style is more aggressive but when he said walk away my character RAN!😄
Strongest protagonist is the courier, I mean bro got shot in the head, said “okay boomer” and murdered my man, took control of Vegas and went down as that random Chad mailman who owns Vegas
On a technical level the courier isn’t the strongest, that is only because there is an in game level cap which was taken away in Fallout 4. Realistically the courier is probably the most dangerous protagonist.
It's also important to remember that a 19 year old Is a grown ass man, and that most of the fallout protagonists don't have canon ages, so there is a possibility other main characters are around that age at well.
it’s funny to think that the Lone Wanderer is one of the most dangerous people in the Fallout universe in general as they own a mothership. which I can’t see them having lost it since they already destroyed one enemy ship.
Lone wanderer being out at 5 is crazy to me. Bro took out a small army of enclave soildiers in hellfirw armor, and fought the biggest most violent hordes of super mutants, i personally put lone wanderer at 2, only surpassed by the chosen one for beating frank horrigan, speaking if, chosen one at anything but 1 is crazy, because frank is like, the strongest thing in the franchise
People really love to downplay the lone wanderer. Everyone says "he's a 19 year old who lived all his life in a vault. He will get destroyed". Bruh, thats why he's so dangerous. All his life he knew a simple life. No fighting experience. Yet he's fighting raiders, mutants. Survives a simulation of an actual war battle, survives an alien spaceship. Kills straight up everything. With no training and not even an adult yet....yea. now give him 3 more years, he cleans everyone.
Litterally especially with his intelligence of being able to rewire some of the alien tech and having ant might or sight hes either a sharpshooter or have superhuman strength
Yeah no either The Courier or The Chosen One should be at number one like Nate/Nora are badasses don’t get me wrong but The Chosen One took down easily the scariest and most powerful single enemy in the entire franchise which is no small thing in the slightest and ignoring that they took on half the wasteland and easily the most well armed force in the post apocalypse and still won. The Courier on the other hand literally took two 9mm rounds to the dome at point blank and somehow came away from it not completely insane or disabled and instead none the worse for wear and then proceeded to fight thru a wasteland of irradiated drug addicts, mutant animals, ghost people, tribals, insane lobotomites, insane robots and a several mile long crack in the earth where everything got nuked and then everything left alive had the sheer will to survive on mostly out of spite and growing even stronger from what should have killed them all. Finally The Courier then has to fight or outsmart some of the most intelligent and powerful people on the west coast after fighting thru a literal army of well armed NCR or Legionnaires before finally either talking down Oliver or Lanius or fighting them and their personal entourage of elite troops.
While yes Nate is strong the courier is a cyborg they could use their superhuman strength to luanch them in hand to hand combat and with an anitmat rifle they'll destroy their power armor Imma be honest i dont understand the love around the anti mat rifle because for me medicine stick kill pretty much deletes everything in 1 hit and easier to repair Lone wanderer is still young and did some imppressive things so they still have lots of potential especially with the ant might/sight perk and just as the courier both can gain perks from repeatedly breaking bones and what no 76 vault dweller has superpowers basically and good luck trying to hit what you cant see even if you could they could have multiple revive perks or damage dodging perks, they can take on an entire wasteland by their selevs in the scorch beast queen event and solo Earle Williams who can spawn a bunch of wendigos
The others fought threw armies of mutants and natures finest mistakes (human and animal), the Courier straight up fought multiple actual armies and won. + Robo-Dog.
@@kingofstrangeness7014he is 60ish in a place most dont live till 10. Also someone pointed out that obsidian has put it such that if Bethesda wanted to they could make it un cannon or add it in later.
Agreed. This guy underestimates the Chosen One's feats of beating frank Horrigan. And the analysis for the courier was absolutely terrible. Forgetting the fact that they are a Essentially an immortal cyborg with weapons such as Euclid's C-Findee that could destroy even Liberty Prime, and has destroyed the giant robo scorpion of the Big MT. This dude undermines the other protagonists while hyping of the Sole Survivor, who I'm sure even the Lone wanderer could put up a tough fight against.
@@ethanreyes9549 to be entirely fair chosen one canonically does the frank fight with all followers the turrets and the enclave kill squad and they're the only one to come out of that fight (apart from marcus I guess since he's in NV so that's contradictory to what the statement about that fight by the devs said...)
@hermeister3870 I mean, you have a point there. But you can't deny how much he downplayed the lone wanderer, let alone the walking god that is the courier. The Euclid's C-Finder alone stomps the sole survivor. And this doesn't even include his other weapons and feats.
@@ethanreyes9549 i know, i am of the opinion that courier would be number one. they're borderline already protagonist status/ feats with the whole divide deal and them dealing with some of the worst parts of the wastes before the game even starts but accounting for all the augments they're just a few steps below frank in raw stats not accounting for weapons and sheer competancy + total experience. there's also the fact one of those implants is functionaly a sandevistan so that's a massive plus disregarding stat increases. and finally they are the only fallout protagonist, nah, character, to take out a mechanical being in the same weight class as liberty prime, and while the robo scorpion doesnt have mini nukes, energy weapons in fallout are pretty absurd lore wise stacking up to stuff from halo and 40k, arguably better in some aspects (though debatable) so thats vehicle grade energy weapons regardless and more armour since the robo scorpion is more thick than prime. I'll argue that lore wise if the courier can deal with the robo scorpion's armour and weaponry so long as they keep out of melee range I think they're the only human character that has a decent shot in a 1v1 with frank.
Love your videos, you're probably my favorite versus content creator. No bias, no fluff, good editing and you do your research. Genuinely great stuff, keep up the amazing work.
Personally, i think the Lone Wanderer is underrated just cause he’s a 19 year old fresh out of the vault. And that’s what’s so impressive about him. How many 19 year old vault dwellers do you see taking down the United States Government, getting abducted by aliens and taking over their spaceship, destroying another alien spaceship with the one he just took over (controls being in alien language and various symbols btw), getting forced into slavery only to rise up the ranks and become a raider or overthrow them, go into and leave probably the most hostile post war swamp alive, get part of his brain cut out and retain sanity, survive a mansion getting blown up right in front of him without being blinded or severely injured or killed, and go into a realistic simulation of a REAL WARZONE without military training, and survive. If you look at the Wanderer’s feats, and for him to only be just barely an adult who’s completely new to the wasteland, i think that right there shouldn’t be a weakness. It’s like saying an 8 year old is the weakest man of a bunch of grown men who are trained fighters, when that very 8 year old knocked out Muhammad Ali in one hit. It’s ridiculously stupid, but by some miracle the kid did it. If you can do that with zero experience, and such a young age, that should make you op as shit. Not saying the Wanderer is the best, but i think he is more than just some “19 year old fresh out of the vault.” He’s a 19 year old fresh out of the vault who singlehandedly accomplishes feats most fully grown wastelanders can’t do.
Ignoring the Sole Survivor having no Level Limit and being able to upgrade every state and attain every perk , I think the fact that they are a protagonist that has an actual voice and can freaking speak would leave the other ones astonished and stunned , enough to give them a big opening in a fight .
Fallout 76ers can reach nearly all 15s in special stats (before aid items) and can even reach around the 70s temporarily, making them practically demigods.
Nate is like Bottom 2. Im not sure what Universe were living in where Having been a Grunt in the military Makes you OP. And everything else Nate does is Doable by Nora as well so The military part is litterally not relevant whaysoever. The chosen one, the courier and the Vault dweller theoretically all have more combat experience. Nate fought in a war, Those guys lived their entire lives in a wasteland where combat is A background activity
Not sure what world you’re living, but in fallout 4 Nate is a special forces war hero. Being in the military does not mean you are a grunt, and the video literally states that it’s going by lore not gameplay, so Nora being able to handle guns as well says nothing
The courier is a literal courier - is this combat experience im the same room with us? Sunny literally has to show him how to shoot amd make a basic healing powder. The Vault Dweller has no combat experience at all. He was literally born in the Vault and never been outside before. There is no shooting range or anything in Vault 13. Nate is not just a grunt he survived one of the main battles of the entire war and was respected vet. Someone who can shoot at bottles or misses ten times while aiming at a rat the size of a dog does not come near an experienced soldier who survived a war. No amount of training does really prepare you for a real battle.
Nate was a respected Vet, which probably means he was no grunt, even if he was he’s seen actual war and survived, the wasteland and some raiders would be nothing to him, I’m not saying he’s the strongest but by no bounds is he the weakest. War experience comes a long way my guy, a lot of people don’t make it back from war.
@user-qs2hd3jv4d How is that relevant? Special stat's change between the games and are just a Gameplay representation. Nate can do a lot of things that the courier can't because the Engine was upgraded. What you think Nate was better with grenades because they added a Hotkey
76 Protagonist is mutated like he's about to lead a eugenics war. If Frank Horrigan can kill a Deathclaw bare-handed. He can kill Frank bare-handed. Then proceeds to kill a flying Skyrim dragon-bat and her 2 flying kids. While being melee'd by Deathclaws.
Cool, 76er is under rated and over hated litterally most of the time peeps say "76 isnt canon" "76 bad" Idk if others simply blindly hate or just dont want to accept that courier isnt the most powerful anymore (not that he was to begin with tbh)
@@garythemilkman4442 The thing with 76er is that most of their feats are really meant to be the vault dwellers feats (which is probably why you don't even have a title like Sole Survivor or Chosen One); is not a single guy dealing with everything in Appalachia but an entire Vault of people. Very different from a single person being the main force of change in a region like what happens in every other mainline title. And with 76 being a looter shooter, it's kinda though to gauge the power of a protagonist in a game where you are able to endlessly repeat certain actions that should not be reversable (like throwing a fucking nuke, unless it truly is a simulation lol) to further farm levels and loot until you become broken af
It isn't easy to choose between Courier, Vault Dweller or Chosen One - because all three did a lot. Vault Dweller saved the whole world from Super Mutant annihilation while helping create NCR. Then we have their grandchild that has single-handedly destroyed the Enclave and helped make the same NCR even more powerful. However, by the level of everything they did in the end Courier tops all that. Shot twice, crawled out of their own coffin, changed the way Mojave will live but also influenced two most major factions in the whole West Coast and then conquered the Divide, the Big MT, and solidified the peace in Zion together with the feared Burned Man (and survived all of this to tell the tale)
Lone wanderer has the Tesla cannon and since power armor is the best kind of armor in every game so every mc will wear it. It’s obvious who the winner is
Ain't no way Nate is the strongest. His power armor and weaponry is at best on par with the lone wanderer. The Chosen one should be stronger based on having the best PA period accompanied with better experience and skill. The Courier should win hands down based on having the second best PA, the best unarmed skills and by far the best guns that include a plethora of anti PA weapons. What made you conclude that The Sole Survivor was stronger?
You forgot that fallout 4 has some of the most overpowered endgame items in the entire franchise and fallout 4 doesn't even have a levelcap which means you can have every single perk in the game. Therefore its best to believe that he is the most powerfull. But really it is the people from fallout 76 since they got some crazy endgame items.
@@Maybe12217 I really don't see what Fo4 has that's that over powered. The Courier has the best fat man and fat man ammo in the verse + a plethora of more advanced tech like the pulse pistol or Big MT weapons that are designed to work best against robots and power armror. He also has the Advanced power armor which is only second to Fo2's MK2 advanced power armor whilst Nate at best has the X-01 or Hellfire if you include newgame+ (proving his best armor is no better than the lone wanderers). The 76 resident would be technically superior since his weapons are crazy advanced compared to the rest but his best armor is officially the X-01 so really he's like the second weakest character amongst the protagonists armor wise. I would also disregard leveling for two reasons : 1- It's in-game mechanics and they don't translate to any fallout besides fallout 4 for your example, same applies for 76. Otherwise The Chosen One stomps because he can have 200% in all of his traits. 2: The Sole survivor's 70 perks aren't exactly impressive for a 1v1 scenario. Especially if we factor his inferior armor and fire power.
I think the 76er is the strongest I mean consider the flat woods monster can kind control the scorchbeast queen. The queen alone is a strong amount of power to take on but add a creature able to control the leader of a hive mind. Yeah that’s strong. I just think what is possible in endgame really shows their strength as they will purposefully get mutations to have an upper hand and they do that by getting serums from the enclave who they are a part of.
tbf to the lone wanderer, bro was 19 when the events of fallout 3 took place, pro was killing deathclaws, super mutants, and enclave before he could legally drink
Yeah Fallout’s power scaling is practically nonexistent because there isn’t much to go off of like there is for Halo and 40K, there’s no cutscenes or lore books that goes into detail about weapon and armour calcs.
Courier six is in First place. (Knows the wasteland very well, multiple implants, became a cyborg in the think tank, probably has the euclid-c finder and possibly even a literal army of robots) and if we consider the endgame gameplay the 76 player is second to him(he is basically a mutant, has multiple nukes that he can eventually launch, and an army of robots that is not under his direct orders but he is a general of the enclave and can mass produce them indefinetly) so yeah being a really good solider wouldn’t matter much against those two lol
I think you're giving the Vault Dweller too little credit, he didn't just fight Super Mutants, he fought THE Super Mutant Army, aka the Super Mutants that were actually a threat to things other than the most isolated b*mf**k nowhere farmsteads.
The Chosen One is obviously the strongest, but you could argue the Vault Dweller is stronger since the Vault Dweller achieves his feats basically alone in canon.
The sole survivor can help an infinity of settlements to farm xP , he have a jetpack on his power armor, can build an army of sentry bots and laserotron, minutemens with mortars and and a few small nuclear missiles waiting in a submarine
The issue with ranking the Sole Survivor on this list is that only the male Sole Survivor is a war veteran. The female Sole Survivor was a lawyer in pre-war times. So while the male Sole Survivor definitely would rank high on such a list due to his history of military service, the female would be down at about the level of The Vault Dweller or Lucy MacLean.
You're really living up to the channel's name... Nate certainly _starts_ at the #1 position, but he _ends_ behind at least the Chosen One. You know, the one who singlehandedly destroyed the Enclave and killed Frank Horrigan? He's probably even weaker than the Lone Wanderer by the end, given that the Lone Wanderer personally takes out entire platoons of Enclave soldiers in top-tier armor. Accounting for DLC content, the Lone Wanderer wins full stop, since he has the Mothership that can instantly destroy cities with a space laser. Then the Courier, because he becomes damn near godlike in the DLC.
Any other protagonist: Oh you wanna fight? Bring it on! Courier 6: whoa easy bro, I'm just the mailman. Also got a package for you. Any other protagonist: Oh OK thanks I'll take that. Just sign here? I put in simple: There are only 4 NPC in all the franchise which has canonically 10 points of 10 in all special atributes the courier can kill 3 of them ulisess is one of them, the courier its a cyborg who has implant grx which its basically a sandevistand, can have nanomachines implant who regenerates him, he defeat and army of robo scorpions and a giant robo scorpion the size of liberty prime who was invulnerable to ballistic damage all by himself, he survives the sierra madre who has a toxic mist who could turn you into a zombie and melt your lungs, survives the division which its probably the most hostile and dangerous place in all the franchise even the creatures there fear the courier at the end of the DLC , he has acces to more powerful perks and weapons to all of other protagonist even acces to a satelital laser beam and uses when he wanted even acces to the nuclear warheads of the division, liberty prime was destroyed by a bunch of missiles, he defeats lanius who could cut in half paladins with a big sword, he has all the tecnology of big mountain wich its said by mobius, elijah and ulisses could destroy nations and create them too. My top: 1- The courier. 2- the choosen one. 3- The sole survivor. 4- the lone wandere. 5- The vault dweller.
Going by lore? Probably the courier or the lone wanderer. Going by gameplay? Definietly the sole survivor, I mean, you can get all the perks and level to infinity in that game. By end game, all your stats would be 11, you basically ascended and can eat mininukes to the face
Chosen One killed Frank Horrigan and destroyed the Enclave. Lone Wanderer took over a spaceship, has military training from Op Anchorage and also destroyed the Enclave. Courier and Sole Survivor really can’t compete to those imo
In terms of influence and importance, the first place can be shared by the Lone Wanderer and the Courier. The endgame of the third part involves an orbital weapon that will incinerate both Liberty Prime and the Institute. The endgame of New Vegas involves the use of nuclear missiles that can turn entire cities into ruins. A Сourier and a Lone Wanderer can wipe the entire Commonwealth off the face of the Earth, not to mention the basement of an institute or an old giant robot (which once did not survive a bombardment). Physically, the Courier is perhaps the most perfect endgame cyborg, unlike the decrepit Kellogg. In addition, the Courier at the end of independence has its own army of robots and a large economic sphere of influence as the whole of Vegas. Survivor from the fourth part is not even close to the level of the Courier or the Lone Wanderer, let alone to rank him above the others. As for his experience, only Nate has combat experience, his wife Nora is an ordinary lawyer. And pre-war experience =/= experience of survival in wastelands. The Courier and the Chosen One have the best experience among all, because they were born and raised outside of all kinds of shelters. And as for who can overpower whom. One way or another, the chosen one is helped to kill Frank Horrigan. At the time when the Lone Wanderer solo interrupts the ship of aliens and fights against one of the strongest armies of the franchise - the enclave. And the Courier at the same time most likely faces the Legate Lanius, who in battle is quite difficult, if he is not talked to or oneshoot.
I’d say stat wise it’s the Sole Survivor, considering he can get 10 in all his special stats, something that very few Fallout characters have. Combine that with the fact that he has actual pre war education and military training, meaning that he would possess knowledge and skills not known to many that grew up in a vault or in the wasteland, and I’d say he takes the top spot as strongest Fallout protagonist. In the lore he’s described as a decorated war hero that fought during the annexation of Canada, which means that by being called a “war hero,” his feats and accomplishments during war time would be far beyond any normal soldier.
Honestly I disagree with this list a lot. I’d say that there is a good argument with the lone survivor and the courier being the bottom 2. In terms of lore victories the only single win for the courier is the lanuis, who beat 12 men at once before his prime, and the lone survivor just doesn’t have much more in terms of fighting single handedly impressive foes. I’d say the chosen one is by far the strongest (Frank is just an insane monster) with Nate being most likely in second place. The dweller in third
Thats your canon bro in the game the courier can defeat elijah, lanius, a giant robo scorpion and its army , ulyses like frank horrigan has 10 points in every special atribute, general oliver and a elite scuadron of rangers, in contrast the sole survivor only defeat in a 1 vs 1 a courser and before that kellog which by words of virgil its at the same level or maybe a little weaker than a courser, the vault dweller canonicaly defeat the master by infiltrated the church a initiated the autodestruction protocol he never confront him in a 1 vs 1 we can know this because he said it in the vault dweller memories whic came out with the release of fallout 2.
If 40k is going to pop up on this channel again maybe the Primarch’s should finally get a matchup (all we usually see is Space Marines and occasionally the Tau vs the Covenant). Maybe they could all go up against Starscourge Radahn from Elden Ring in 1 v 1 matchups to see if he could stand up to any of them and win, now that would be a cinematic as hell fight.
Bro this “number one spot” is dumb. The sole survivor is a man who wants to find his family and I think he would probably side with the minutemen due to their goal to end things like what happened to the sole survivor you forgot it’s a preset personality and doesn’t apply to you. I expected him to be one of the lowest on the list. I think the courier is better because in any ending he faces entire nations, being shot in the forehead, buried alive, faces the hardest climates In the games, and as a quest where you just decide to clear out a deathclaw nest for fun. And the Sloan guy just says “I can tell from the look in your eyes, you ain’t lying”.
I feel like the soul survivor being a marine before he came to the wastland isnt a good point sense the chosen one and the courier have more experience growing up in the wasteland

All imma say is if nate became a ghoul instead of going into cryo, dude would be a force of nature after 200 years. The fact he went into war and came back without any injuries and was apparently a good enough soldier he was supposed to give a speech in Cambridge federal outpost beside the police station, you can go there and use the microphone and nate/nora will say something
nate would just be the ghoul in that case
Just play Nate as an army doc who did something mildly noteworthy…besides saving dying people.
Nate probably wore Power Armor
Oh and he is a war criminal
Nate the rake 🗿
You forgot to mention all the cybernetics the courier gets In new vegas Even before the big mt
Which only gives a plus one to each SPECIAL stat. The Vault Dweller just went through normal surgery to achieve the same effect. The Courier is unable to max out their SPECIAL stats, the Lone Wanderer can, and the Sole Survivor can get all of them to 11.
So If we are considering SPECIAL stats I would suggest you take a look at 76 endgame lol
Sole survivor, level 300 death machine that can blow you up if you look at him
Overall id say this is pretty accurate but I would swap Courier 6 with Nate the Rake for 1st place because 6 has gone through everything Nate has (except the war with china) and more but the biggest difference is that Courier 6 has tons of augmentations including the GRX Implant which canonically is from Big Mountain and all the implants from the New Vegas Clinic. Nate on the other hand while still being an experienced soldier is still just a normal human with nothing like that.
I'd agree. 6 has as good or better feats plus can literally be a cyborg supersoldier.

RAAAAHH THE MASTER AINT GOT SHIT ON PURESTRAIN HUMANS, WE ARE THE ONES TO INHERIT THE EARTH!!!
Vault dweller has guts and grit. He was still one of the weakest, but if he were real, he would still be John wick level, maybe even stronger.
I dont care where they came from. On a list of best of the best only their final state is taken into account.
I remember Vergil saying something along the line that Kellogg is roughly equal if not a little weaker than them and that someone in the brotherhood saying that Courser's are roughly equal to a paladin in his power armor

I don't say that the Chosen One killed Frank... He survived Frank

I feel like it’s important to remember that the lone wanderer is literally still a teenager when he did everything he did
It's also important to remember that a 19 year old Is a grown ass man, and that most of the fallout protagonists don't have canon ages, so there is a possibility other main characters are around that age at well.
it’s funny to think that the Lone Wanderer is one of the most dangerous people in the Fallout universe in general as they own a mothership. which I can’t see them having lost it since they already destroyed one enemy ship.
I would say the 76er has a LOT of help with a lot of what they do.
Gameplay-wise the 76er is unbeatable, lorewise, still pretty tough but debatably so
People really love to downplay the lone wanderer.
While yes Nate is strong the courier is a cyborg they could use their superhuman strength to luanch them in hand to hand combat and with an anitmat rifle they'll destroy their power armor
Imma be honest i dont understand the love around the anti mat rifle because for me medicine stick kill pretty much deletes everything in 1 hit and easier to repair
Lone wanderer is still young and did some imppressive things so they still have lots of potential especially with the ant might/sight perk and just as the courier both can gain perks from repeatedly breaking bones and what no
76 vault dweller has superpowers basically and good luck trying to hit what you cant see even if you could they could have multiple revive perks or damage dodging perks, they can take on an entire wasteland by their selevs in the scorch beast queen event and solo Earle Williams who can spawn a bunch of wendigos

Whether I agree or disagree, it’s still enjoyable to watch
@ethanreyes9549 he didn't beat horrigan in 1v1 though and it brings down the achievement by a fair bit. No need to glaze.

Not saying the Wanderer is the best, but i think he is more than just some “19 year old fresh out of the vault.” He’s a 19 year old fresh out of the vault who singlehandedly accomplishes feats most fully grown wastelanders can’t do.
i just killed kellogg today and i didn't realize the ship as landing so i missed that part 💀
Nate has no cap to his level or S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats. Nate can have better S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats than Frank fckin Horrigan
@user-qs2hd3jv4d How is that relevant? Special stat's change between the games and are just a Gameplay representation. Nate can do a lot of things that the courier can't because the Engine was upgraded. What you think Nate was better with grenades because they added a Hotkey

Nate did war crimes, that make him stronger

I would also disregard leveling for two reasons :
1- It's in-game mechanics and they don't translate to any fallout besides fallout 4 for your example, same applies for 76. Otherwise The Chosen One stomps because he can have 200% in all of his traits.

The SS negs via better weapons and perks
The sole survivor can help an infinity of settlements to farm xP , he have a jetpack on his power armor, can build an army of sentry bots and laserotron, minutemens with mortars and and a few small nuclear missiles waiting in a submarine
The issue with ranking the Sole Survivor on this list is that only the male Sole Survivor is a war veteran. The female Sole Survivor was a lawyer in pre-war times. So while the male Sole Survivor definitely would rank high on such a list due to his history of military service, the female would be down at about the level of The Vault Dweller or Lucy MacLean.

Strange topic for a series where the protagonist is who you make them to be.
In the lore he’s described as a decorated war hero that fought during the annexation of Canada, which means that by being called a “war hero,” his feats and accomplishments during war time would be far beyond any normal soldier.
having sole survivor in top 3 is already wrong, having him at number 1 is just a joke. This list has lost all credibility.
I like to think the pioneers would be a fitting monicre for the fallout 76 protagonist(s)
Ever played the under-rated yet Cannon game of Fallout Tactics on insane Toughguy differculty? No? Ah Not man enough for it then.
The 76'er Dweller is up there for sure: Man can either be a walking tank, or a mutated sonic-man.
Fuck yeah, Fallout power analysis!
Bro sounds like a ghoul
