I have a 04 I had Dallas Performance Twin Turbo and fully build,including upgrading the T56 to a Magnum T56 31 spline instead of the 28 with straight cut gearing. Im not going to get into tons of #s but it running over 1000hp by quite a bit but I keep it at a psi that keeps its Street able and lets say 750rwhp with the lightened flywheel, ROE upgraded slave and other hydraulics that are weak spots of the manual plus with a Magnum and Twins its a must. I also deleted my airbags and changed my seats and steering wheel into all momo. I had crazy compliments on my roll cage and super low stance of my truck at the 06 SEMA. It has a fully fabd coil over/4 link system. I got the truck originally to pick up cars from the airport I had purchased for my small Vintage/Exotic dealership,fabrication and repair facilities outside Vail CO. Then I started using the truck to trailer my 3 1991 NA V8 Miatas that I actually had built. The 2 with LS motors,T56s and CTS-V rears w/4.10s both also run a single rear mount Gen X Turbo where built here in Palisades CO, with full Vmaxx V8 coilovers- 5 inch height/full dampering capabilities as well asca full underbody Kevlar panel&full butterfly bracing,but the Right Hand drive JDM car I had Martin at Monster build with a crate SVT GT40 302/stroked 347 ProCharged set-up,Tremec TKO 5 speed and the tried and true CTS-V W/3.55s as well as same Flying Miata coils,Suspension,front&rear diffusers as well as full bracing and 3 piece kevlar full underbody cover designed using the existing cover from my 98 also fully built twin turbo F355 6 speed manual Ferrari "not the F1 trans" that car was the 1st TT 355. and is #d on the engine cover with HP/TRQ numbers. I had full stage 2 work done including the achilles heals.The bronze valve issues were 1st on my list. Headers had been immediately changed with3105 tubis but those went because of the fabd TT headers. Badass man all ur vids are badass. U drive that truck to its limits.. how it was ment to be but I cant remember where I saw that the 2004-2006 8.3L v10 engines have cast iron pistons that were built to withstand 5500 rpm which is stupid bc the truck has a rev limiter of 6000ish.
cast iron pistons are highly unlikely, its not a steam engine, if those giant hunks of metal were cast iron it wouldnt be able to spin up 2500 rpm, let alone 5500 or 6000
I know it sounds like a viper engine would be all forged internals but this year model isn't. it's an all aluminum block with cast iron pistons. hey look it up if u don't believe me.

No! These were discontinued in 2005 parts are very expensive and they are HORRIBLE on gas 9city 15 highway, a new oil filter will cost 185.91 while new engine bolts are 96.25 a piece, so overall unless you are going to RACE its not worth it
These were actually discontinued in 2006 but yes they're not common. Not good on gas but spund fantastic and Haul ass for a full size truck. They keep up with the 5th gen SS, 5.0, and SRT 8. I am definitely looking into one as a fun weekend car but currently they're out of my price range.

this truck is not supercharged. it has a few bolt ins and a cat back with headers. it is 500hp and 550ftlbs. it makes 500 ft lbs at 2200rpms. it has a tremec 6 speed and Dana 60. I drive mine like this every day. most can't handle the torque or afford 5mpg.

No spinning it was redlining I have race and been in one of these my sister boyfriend has on stock its weak I lined up my 06 Silverado ss 6.0 and all I have is a Whipple supercharger and a tune that's it why is it that I beat him from and dip four times its not a bad truck just I think people over talked about them for not being.that great
