Finally Sanji goes and asks the cook what was his secret : the unique salt of Water 7 created by the yearly tsunami Aqua Laguna which mixed the salt from various parts of the Grand Line and left large quantities of it on roofs of the houses on the lower levels of Water 7 which would later be dried by the sun

There was a similar thing in Louge Town where they explained that because of reverse mountain there where often a lot of fish that got swept up by the currents and mixed out into the different blues. The episode itself was not that good but it did raise an interesting culinary concept. Then there was an episode just after alabasta where Sanji helps out a kitchen boy on a marine ship in making curry in a very indirect, hands off kinda way. Third I could think of is the G8 episode where Sanji shows up a bunch of marine chefs by cooking up a better meal than them using only the leftovers of their cooking

About Brook getting stuck on the boat for years but not eating, I'd prefer to assume that Oda just doesn't show him eating to focus on his 50 years of loneliness and isolation, but he likely still needs to eat and drink to live. He can run through water because of how light bones are apparently, so we can assume maybe he managed to catch fish that got close enough to the surface for his blade to pierce? He can also just stab birds or bats or whatever creatures which fly close to the mast/nest. For water he can probably just drink the blood of the creatures he catches/scavenges. I'd imagine he can just use the ship's wood or Florian driftwood to make fires in the kitchen, but there's also plenty of wood in Thriller Bark as well, or idk maybe he just makes sashimi by freezing the fish with his blade or whatever idk. Perhaps more morbidly he got by with the corpses of his crewmates, however he doesn't find his own body until it's nothing but bone and the crew was done in by poison so I find that hypothesis a little dubious at best. And lastly there are tons of wreck and lost ships entering the Florian Triangle every year, so we can assume that Brook would have provisions floating around every now and then, some probably even from outside the grand line! One thing I'll say which might lend credibility to the no hunger theory might be the fact that he didn't die of starvation or dehydration before finding his body, unless if he can eat and drink in his soul form despite having difficulty interacting with objects due to his ghost properties in that form.
Oh yeah we also encounter him brewing tea on the ship which is further proof of the drifting provisions from the wrecks theory. Unless if the Rumbar Pirates just randomly had 50 years of unexpiring tea in stock or something.

Great video! it is truly remarkable how big of role food plays in world building. However you didn't mention the island to which Usopp has been during the time skip. It was an all you can eat buffet island that eats its inhabitants a few times a day. At first Usopp gains a lot of weight, but after some time he starts taking this commodity with great cation
That's a thing that I always think about whenever I see a new franchise/universe, how does the "normal daily supply system", how is food aquired, transported, what about clothing, medicin, etc., you can't just have a city with billions of people in it, say it dosen't import anything and dosen't show it producing any food and then say "and they always have enough food", even the hive cities in W40K has some lore behind it how it produce food for its billions.
I just wanna say, I HATE when shows never show the characters eating, or drinking, like you're doing all that action and fighting and eating NOTHING??? Having a big feast after every big battle is so satisfying in One Piece, yet another reason to love it :)

Devil fruits are really their own thing. Their tendency to just pop up wherever is convenient makes them too isolated in most cases when talking about the different islands. I included smiles because they play a specific role in Wano and are tied to the Tontatta plot line.
