What an awesome year! As an oblate novice (from September 2021 to November 2022) I was blessed with a full workbook compiled by the Abbess Emeritus of the Benedictine nuns of Virginia Dale Colorado for oblate novices plus twenty four podcasts for oblate novices by Prior Peter Funk OSB. It was awesome! Great formation - the RB is a proven guide for Gospel living. Blessed be God forever!
Very interesting and informative. When going out in the "real" world, do you wear your habits? How do you deal with a member of the community you dislike? What happens to older members, especially those who become feeble of mind?
@rutha1464 for your first question, check my video where I talk about that very thing! 2) lots of prayer, especially in patience and humility, and then if necessary have an honest conversation. 3) ws have a fully staffed infirmary and care facility within the monastery itself, so elderly monks are taken care
I can't stand this. Do you really think youre showing yourself and what you stand for with any class and respect ? Do you really think your thumbnail is appropriate ? Youre attitude ? Its all vanity. This isn't supposed to be something "cool." Have a little more respect for what youre representing. Its not just you its many of the "new" channels that are being like this. Believe it or not. The Devil is doing this. He fighting for some detachment to exist in whatever way possible.
I have been a Benedictine Oblate for 30 years. I think the useful thing here is to strengthen these brothers efforts in prayer. This isn’t 1925, and times are different now.
These presentations are helpful and informative particularly in explaining the formation process. Our Creator gives us the heart AND the intellect to worship Him in all forms. The monastic form, discipline of worship, and charism, in most cases, will take a lifetime and is an absolute blessing. There is no higher calling than praise of God and obedience to the Abbot. A blessed calling indeed!
Thank you for what you are doing ✝️ You are bringing young people to God. Pay no mind to the lost souls and negative Nancy’s put there
Thank you for sharing! Hopefully this will help to answer questions and promote future vocations!

as always ♥👍
Do the Novices pray the hours with the full community or with only the novices?
@@nukejets Night prayer is prayed with just each other, but the other hours are prayed in community
Great video Brother Francisco. Thank you
