“Some religions may call it rape but it isn’t” what in the actual f*ck???? Last time I checked it doesn’t matter what religion you are, sexual assault is against the law.
Some sick perv in the community came up with it and they all followed suit and called it religion
If someone tried to do that to my daughter, I would be in jail and they would be six under. That culture needs to evolve in so many ways.
If I were to be taking attention, seriously, grabbing me, it’s not an option😮
They are not well educated.
It's groping ...its not fun ...its not appropriate behavior...in some places the guys would be charged ...
Well said mate
It if that’s all they know? It’s normal for these. But I agree
Poor young girls. They are so undervalued in their culture. I can't even......
That grabbing is horrendous. Awful, awful, awful!!
Trashy culture
That term grabbing to be changed to abusing! It's disgusting and degrading, the parents of these young girls should be ashamed of themselves!
“You have to punch IT” it wow
You have too punch it hese a charmer isn’t he 🙃
They are abusers
Bell ends with no education, if they try doing that to a Scottish or English lady they're be dumped in a canal or in jail.
@@user-qy9rt9cy2bjust got so much anger here but I will get kicked of woke UA-cam if I said anything out of lines....
Right
I love the young lady at 2:00 she had so much respect for the mother she was speaking to
You could feel how much she cared and respected her aunt 🥹
Right so nice of her to explain how well that lady did for herself as a single mom
This is actually so disturbing to watch. It is crazy how “grabbing” is ok in the modern era. 😕
Who was responsible for the ill-fitting bodice on the bride’s dress? Otherwise it was lovely. I don’t agree with the grabbing.
It made the dress look bad. Terrible fit in the bust for sure.
I hate grabbing. I don't like to be grabbed or touched ! It is more sexual assault then any think else...
😂my EXACT same reaction but u sait it WAY better 😂
I'm glad others noticed this, I thought oh god she is gonna fall out of the bodice .
Grabbing is abuse.
Grabbing is offensive😢
Yep it is
The difference between their morals and their clothes don’t match!! I don’t understand their behavior.
I’ve always thought that
The morals come from the elders within the community like their grandparents. It is worth pointing out that all travellers have shorter lifespans than the settled population. Morals to them are also their cultural code. They also don't watch much popular culture like TV shows and films as well as only have basic primary education. The young marriage age is how they keep their money within families still. The girls dress like that to stick out among the other girls. They have to get the boys attention by how they look in the hope he will come over to them and 'garb' them. They don't have sex before marriage in traveller culture. So they have to find ways of self-advertising themselves to other young travellers in the marriage market. Hence why the boys have their tops off and the girls have bright colourful clothes.
I’m confused too it’s like you can be a tease but can’t put out or won’t be married or respected
here in new zealand thats classed as sexual assault which leads to jail time
The way the girls dress is a mix between old time bar saloon and 80’s music video.
I cant even watch this without having to pause it multiple times, cause these poor women are screaming for help and these idiots just laugh it off.
I did the same, kept pausing. Absolutely horrifying
The way the top fits her in that dress is horrific 🤣🤣
A real man is not abusive! If they are abusive , they are WEAK !
Idk if im the only 1 that finds this cringe
A culture of misogyny
I'd be in jail if I even saw this happening to a female let alone if this happened to me or my own daughter.....smfh
I agree with the comment the dressmaker made. Raising children right is a big commitment and responsibility.
True. And if we all lived in campers we could afford to stay home with our kids too! 😂
I didn't live in a camper. I bought a Mobile Home. I raised two children (boy and girl) by myself working a factory job. Both of my children went on to do great things. My Daughter is a Cardiac RN, my Son started his own business and is now raising his 11 year old daughter by himself . So proud of both of them!!
Omg. The grabbing. Unacceptable.
That’s just the culture
And tradition if it was muslim or any other religion it would not be respectful to talk really bad about the traditions .
@@Roblox-e3g I get what you're saying know it's their tradition, I personally think it's disrespectful towards women to treat them like a piece of meat, and looking for the best cut of fillets. Yes I would say the same as I've mentioned before Gypsy, Muslims, Christians, Africans traditions and others you don't treat young women like this it's disgusting behaviour. Also sad that some women think it's normal for men to act this way just because it's tradition.
And people wonder why they are so dumb and stupid
"... the tradition known as grabbing" i think there is a different word for it.
I bet she paid a fortune for that dress and the bodice is way too big and ill fitting 😢
Every bride is beautiful. It's classless to say otherwise. Let her have her day and memories.
This channel reposts this video of clear assault on women every few months under a different title. No matter how you frame it, it’s disgusting and unacceptable behavior. You can’t polish a turd. Not with all the bling crystals in the world.
I live in England UK 🇬🇧 and there used to be a programme called My Gypsy Wedding, it was crazy to watch as there tradition was crazy some girls had never been to school they were been taught by a British woman who made the wedding dresses. These girls we're 15 year's old and she'd teach them basic English and Maths. They couldn't even read I found it so upsetting to watch they we're literally struggling to read books what my daughters could read at the age of 4 year's old. They were basically taught to just cook and clean make sure you're husband is happy, some of bride's were as young as 16 year's old. If they marry a non Gypsy man and go to live in a house, they are disowned by the whole Gypsy community and are not welcome back. 😢
yeah we watched in the states too .. on the TLC channel
@@kole0429 yeah it's really good to see other people's culture, beliefs and the way they live. They've also got one on Bear knuckle Gypsy Fighter's, wow now that one was an eye opener for me. The boy's and men are brutal and pull no punches, tougher than tough it's crazy watch. 🏡😊🙎🏽♀️
This is so disturbing.
Horrifying !!!!! (the 'Grabbing'....ughhh TERRIBLE !!!!!!!!!)
What are your traditions? Where are they from? Don’t be so quick to judge!
These people have brought traditions over from Romania.
I am not a traveler or know much about them, but they deserve ti practice things however they want within the law.
You make it sound like Romania is a country to be impressed by. The country is impoverished and it’s not hard to see why considering the people of that land have traditions like these.
I love how they act like they have such high morals but look how they dress for men lmao
Bet any money they all had layers and shorts under there clothes can't say that for British girls on a Saturday night ....
My daughter, my granddaughter.....hell no.
Looks like the jersey shore
The young girls become slaves for the rest of there lives.Thats sad😢
Her dress top is way too big.
Gross.
I never understood why just because it’s a tradition or religious belief it makes it ok? As a human race we should constantly learning better ways !
As adults able to influence a change
These are Irish travellers not Romany Gypsies
😮what is the difference?
So you have to be half dressed to get a husband??
No we have respect fool
My mom's dad was a Romy gypsy and that's what he said that they basically do...I wasn't raised like that my aunties got married when they were 12 years old and my other aunt got married when she was 15 years old...
They basically dropped out of school at a certain age so they can start taking care of there husbands and children
This is sexual assault and why do you send ur daughters on the street showing themselves so that they could find a husband. Strange.
The grabbing tradition is atrocious and I worry about what happens to these women behind closed doors.
Some old practices have their own way of working out. Still this is crazy. In my country in the past the girl had to signal first to the boy by giving him a flower that she was wearing in her hair until a minute ago. IF she gives him the flower! If not he can try to steal it from her and it might be successful or it might not be successful. In either way it doesn't mean anything if she didn't give it willingly.
This is absolutely ridiculous
No no no NOT this is sexual abuse. Considering alot of the men are NOT faithful this is just nasty
That's lovely what she said about her auntie
I'm so proud of Bridgette, she's such a tough woman who has done an amazing job raisi her children ❤
The castle cake was beautiful!
What the actual hell
" No" is "No" VERBALLY, PHYSICALLY, and through ACTIONS. Don't grab without permission unless you plan to explain the heel in your a$$ and hand up your nose. It's hard to surgically remove those. If this is what these boys are taught, no wonder none of them seem to have any remorse, or self control.
Although the grabbing wasn't part of it, 50 years ago women got married and were housewives and mothers.
And many of those marriages started off with a date rape. That’s basically what this is.
Yes and died younger than today! Plus men were actual men they didn’t run off or screw around. If they did they were rejected by everyone. Women should have skills to fend for themselves if needed. Husbands leave, become disabled, or die.
Grabbing is literally sexual assault
Tinkers leave a complete mess where ever they go.
"Their whole aim in life is to get married." Maybe their aim in life needs to be renegotiated.
This clip was rrposted just a couple of weeks ago
Good for you, Auntie. 😊
I don’t think I could marry that accent
The cakes with the dolls
Disturbing
Nope. Everything they do is a solid NOPE.
The girls end up choosing who they want to kiss, no matter the grab. There’s no sex involved.
I get that its a different way of living but come on. Nobody should be assaulted and grabbed like that.
How can they afford these huge weddings?…..
They don't pay rent and if they do it's cheap
I would never go to any event if I was in this culture. This is extremely sad.
2:37 sounded like she was rapping
I am so disturbed after watching this
They should have a much bigger population than they do considering how young they marry and how many children they have.
Yuk Mr sticky fingers
This some crazy shit. Lol
The messed up thing? I was such a social misfit as a girl that I'd have been shattered NOT to be grabbed had I been in that situation - although my self esteem would've been expecting a total rejection walking in.
And then horribly confused if a guy did grab me. "ME?! Really? Wait. What's wrong with you? Why would you pick ME? Weirdo."
I actually panicked and bit the first boy who dared to steal a kiss. Broke another guy's finger. Now that I think about it, I don't know how the hell I managed to get married. My husband had to get through a lot of barriers.
id b dead in this culture under 24 hours
How is this filmed in the 21st century 😳
Culture and what you grow up learning...I just want to take this moment and thank God that He allowed me to be born OUT of this particular culture. Because I would have ended up with life in prison as a young woman for murdering someone who manhandled me in such a manner.
What is the percentage of Gypsy divorces?
Zero divorces as they’re all ‘devout’ Catholics.
@@fmcm7715 I don't believe it.
This is the most ridiculous thing in the world , it’s a joke
"It's not a good way to start a relationship"... No sexual assault never was
The grabbing is absolutely insane to me.
It's bloody vile😢
The women dress like they’re going to the club and it’s day time
The grabbing ritual reminds me of a dog in heat
this is some brain rot worse than skibidi toilet
That's barbaric and assault
21 & 22 on the shelf??? Haha what a joke. What year was this filmed in, their clothes looks bad
So 1950's!
I just don’t get how the girls are expected to have high morals but dress so scantily 😞
What religion are they.
Catholic,you know,like the pope
Catholics don't grab lol😅😅😅
@@user-ei8eo6qz8o Well what do you think these paddywhacks are ? muslim ??
Muslims don't grab I don't know what religion they are if any.
I’m catholic lol no gypsy. I know all gypsy culture.
Wedding for a teen.
The dress wasn't made correctly the top was too big
Wait they want a virgn wife but jet you are grabbing and try to kiss the girl that is not your wife jet?? 😅
Well said 😂😂😂😂😂
absoloutley disgusting behaviour!!!!!!
Ummmm, I’m up for grabs ❤
I’m also 65 and a grandmother, so, if there are any my age ?
wtf?
Different culture 🤷♀️
Look like rape
By dressing like the 1980's?
WTF😢 This is too much! UNACCEPTABLE!!!
Some of those girls were not consenting and even the guys were forceful.
REAL QUESTION..... What if that happened to their daughter? In my opinion if they are all just doing it for fun and jest..... Then that's okay, as long as the women/ girls enjoy the moment..... But NO MEANS NO..... ALLSO!!!
I think the young men don’t really care too much for the grabbing, especially when he said it’s good enough, as in doing the bare minimum because he’s aware the young ladies don’t really like it… ❤
these men are allowed to vote.
Poor girl her dress doesn't even fit properly at her bust. They need to dress more appropriate
I'm sorry but none of these people know what love or marriage really is....they are not grown enough
So glad I wasn’t raised in this type of culture.
Distrubing. Do these people go to school?
NO
@@tnt01 wow 😦
@@gumdrop465Most are illiterate
@@isabella6075 that's really bad
@@gumdrop465Yh especially the girls very sad
Wait.....its actually called grabbing???
Sad
I miss Ireland!
