@@balknbarbie I live in Las Vegas. You have no idea what these kids are like. They rob people with "pew pews" at 12 years old. I know I prefer little Margaret here over some of the kids my children have had to go to school with in SIN CITY. That was prejudice of you. Best wishes.
@@balknbarbie we could say the same about balkan kids, or slavic kids, or Belgian kids or american kids or .... Kids are kids, sometimes they behave, sometimes they don't, just like adults. Being a decent human has very little to no correlation with whatever someone's ethnicity is. Bad apples are everywhere.
These are kids you are talking about, they are still learning and growing just like every other kid. I feel like we should grace them with the room to grow instead of scrutinizing them into humiliation. Considering the conditions some of these families live in, they have it hard enough without our judgement.
I don't want to dismiss any bad experience you might have had with someone from a certain community but you just cannot judge an entire group or ethnicity based on a personal experience or hearsay
If little Margaret went to school she will be very intelligent and go far in life
Margaret did go to primary school. They all go to primary school, The problem is secondary school.
Life is their School, it is not your way of life but it is a way of life. 💕

@@anniejane255 exactly. Having a job, doesn't make a person successful. It gives them money. People in the West think that's almost all that matters. Going to school, sleeping around, get a job. Pay bills, Divorce has skyrocketed among Protestants. If your goal in life is to have a family, sticking children in daycare at 6 weeks is allowing others to do the job God gave you. Travelers usually stay married, raising well socialized children, teaching them what their community holds dear.
I would love to know how the families are doing today.
Margaret and Paddy are such a charming team. I love how Paddy seems to continuously want to positively promote their culture and show them how special they can be. I can't imagine the confidence this experience gives Margaret - not that she needs any! She's so smart.
i cackled when Margaret told the grown men to talk 'one at a time' because she can't hear them when they talk over each other, she handles herself well in her little, big world. She is not afraid to let herself be heard and I love that for her!
Its very disturbing that kids as young as 9 are talking about how to takecare of a husband very crazy.
I got married at 16 n it felt crazy but its a better life ..16 is young to leave a mum..the women are better off safe in their own ways..the world out there is dangerous..
I think all young girls think about having their own home someday. Marriage and family also!!

I see nothing wrong with this, just as little girls play with dolls to mimic their mommy. As long as the boys are taught to work and take care of their wives and children. Also, as long as they're given a choice within reason, and not forced to marry. God bless 🙏

It’s sad the police were called when they were doing something constructive & positive for their community. I wish the responding officers would’ve acknowledged that instead of acting like they were inevitably going to do something bad.
But kudos to Paddy for arranging this, promoting the positive within his culture & always trying to show they’re more than their stereotypes.

I am from the travelling community. There's so much rubbish like pagents, fake tan, huge dresses, these things have emerged in traveller culture in the past 20 odd years. I don't know where these things started but they are definitely not proper parts of my culture. I wish education was more mainstream, it would let people realise there's more to life than fighting, stealing, SA, being a slave to your husband and animal abuse.

It's very OCD. Its taught. Just like it's taught that it's ok for grabbing and sexual assault to happens and that means the guy is interested in you. I can't say I envy these girls lives at all, it's kind of sad.

They display much more maturity than other children, of similar ages. I admire the way they bring up their children. My mother was the same, with us. I still remember cleaning the bathroom. I left something at the base of the toilet, and my mother pointed it out. I was beyond embarrassed, to have been proud. I cleaned it, and never forgot it, 64 years ago. I was 4.
Those pageant crowns were insane!

There's this huge dichotomy in the Traveling community by being House proud, but Yard Blind. It's challenging to live next to a community that is messy, noisy and partly uneducated....it's part of what people don't like about some travelers.
What a hard working people! Love how the girls are so clean, neat & tidy and courteous and they're all so sweet. Having heard some of the attitudes of people when travellers are in town are unwelcoming when a little bit of kindness and coherency might help with the issues? They're awesome people and mean no harm
Cleaning the floor with a cloth and not a mop is the best way to clean the floor
My mum taught me this but we aren't travellers just regular working class folk who like clean house

I’m surprised by how much bullying happens these days. When I was in school a few decades ago, no one would have dared to pick on the Gypsy kids. It was well understood that if you started trouble with one of them, you'd have to face all of them. Having a large number of Gypsy kids in my school probably helped, as there was a permanent camp in a nearby village, so there were several in each year.
I wasn't friends with the Gypsy girl in my class, though, as she wasn't very nice to me. She wasn't particularly friendly because I wasn't from England (I'm South African). but these kids seem really sweet
I've always cleaned the floor with disinfectant and a cloth on my hands and knees. And I'm from New Zealand lol
Everybody thought I was mad when I used to clean floors on my hands and knees; now I have Osteoporosis, I can't get down to clean like this anymore.
OK, the pageants what I don’t understand is why those crowns are so big. Why are they so big?
They're usually designed to compliment the ABSOLUTE UNITS of hairdos they get.
But they're also the trophy, so you want a big trophy to show off and keep forever

Nicole didn’t expect her little sister to critique her way of singing. 😆 Her voice sounds smoothing 👍🏻. At least her little sister is trying to help her. The dress is very pretty and elegant for that talent show.
David can learn basic reading and writing skills outside school. School is an institution. What loving parent sends their child to an institution? I grew up in a caravan. I got bullied at school and called Gippo. I hated school. I learned more after I left than I ever did while I was there. And now there's the internet, it's easy to learn at home online. But I know this is years old. A catch up would be nice.

One of my favorite things about traveler culture is they’re very heavy on purity remaining pure till marriage not being alone with boys etc but it does not at all apply to how they dress. So different than say evangelicalism or the Mormons here in the us where that purity culture extends to clothing.

The father is correct he needs to get more education but being bullied makes it harder and I see why they have so many reasons not to trust outsiders and that’s kinda wrong they can’t just assume that all outsiders are like that
The girl who sings I think it would be wise for her to get a few touch ups on her range of singing to help her further her singing if she really wants to be a singer and a non gypsy could help her with that and it’s hard to hear them talk about getting married and looking after a husband and kids at such a young age what happened to kids saying I want to be a doctor veterinarian nurse not with these young girls they want to be married at 16 and have babies

I have been watching this series for a couple of years now. So far all I see is descent wholesome people who just want a normal, simple way of life the way it was intended. Of course there are acceptations to the rule but not all are tared with the same brush and most are good.
