Great video. Thank a lot for the setup tips. Ordered the red one with the maple neck. Love your playing , it shows we don,T need expensive guitars to have fun..... Wish you and your family all the best.
I have a tip also, sometimes it works ,sometimes it doesn,t. When your guitar is al setup and played for a bit, loosen the screws of the neck a little,
Half a turn and than really tighten them again, can help the sustain. Used it all the time and had good results on HB ST-62 and a Yamaha 311H
    For what it,s worth😉🙂🎸👍🏼

Red one arrived today. Stunning quality for the Buck.Immaculate maple neck, no fretsprout!, nice bit beefy shape. Not too heavy🙂
Raised the action one turn, graphite on the nut( which i am going to replace with a tusq) and Tomorrow i play with the new amp from thomann, the 15 watt valve.and later on with the subzero 35 RVG.

Hi Brent. Thanks for all the useful tips about setups, modding, life, the universe & everything! The TE 20 is really good value. If you mod it, is the body thick enough to take full size pots, switch etc? Keep doing what you’re doing but look after yourself. The one thing we all have at the moment is time! Look forward to the all-day ‘drop-in centre’ soon. Cheers! 👍

When your intonating a guitar, always remember the anagram "FGF". Which means if it's " flat go forward". And when I say forward I mean make the saddle go forward towards the nut. So number one, you're open string perfect pitch in tune. Number two, check the twelfth fret. Number three, if it's flat go forward towards the nut. If it's sharp go the other way. Remember "FGF".

@@BrentHutchinson I can agree with you there. I have it with a Harley Benton I got a few weeks ago. It really plays well and I think the guitar is cool.. Tho for the price I'll let the issue with the poles and the strings slide, but do look in to solutions.
I also changed something from the three way switch, I guess the guitar becomes more mine when I do something with it. Since most of my guitars have been projects for something. :)

@@BrentHutchinson I recently realigned my pickups and they actually look good now :)
Tho on the HB the strings seem to be a little bit narrower than usually put together, which makes the pole pieces a little bit difficult to align, but the way I fixed it today kinda makes me feel very content. It doesn't look bad anymore.

Happy Easter and a good day to you, Brent.

@@BrentHutchinson: I've been teaching myself how to set my guitars up by watching the many different guy's that have shown how they do it on UA-cam but there are many different opinions & the order in which they should be done, being an ex-mechanic it's novel to find a use for my feeler gauges after all these years but I like you card trick as it's real hard to get the feeler gauges to stay where you need them.

That is the copy of my beloved Fender i had to sell about 40 years ago. I do still love her. The HB sounds good in your hands too. And you've the right card, some cards nowadays are too thick to be bend slightly over the neck. So take care of a fitting one, you hard handed man. Realy, you've broke a string by setting up LOL. if Yamaha would make a Pacifica TELECASTER, I would buy it, BUT Im sooooo happy with my five Pac 112Vs! my strings are Dads: 009- 0115-015- 022-032/030-042, tuned E to e, a whole octave down, about Daddario .042W E: could be slightly more tight but I got it right, WONDERFUL strings, Daddario, take care of your strings: Dunlop 65 Ultraglide with Fender Speed slick, put a cloth under the strings and you might polish the frets as well..., I USE the substance of blue Dunlop to Fender speed slick , cuz the speed slick covers my six stringers quite perfect..., lov from K : )
