I just got a ST-20HSS SB and a TE-20 SB yesterday and I am totally blown away with the quality of both of them especially for a combined price of $160 US!
Hi. I've had one for over six months and it has improved, if anything, with use. It took a month or so for the neck to settle down to the change in environment. The only mod I intend to make is to screen it with copper foil as it is noticeably noisier than my other guitars (apart from my Pacifica before I screened that)
I think they're just fine. The coil split on the humbucker doesn't give you true single coil brightness, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Another mod I've considered is changing the tone controls to an overall Passive Treble and Bass (PTB) setup as it's always seemed odd to have two tone controls and no control over the bridge pickup
i have a reasonable squier strat, made in indonesia with a thin neck.... i have upgraded it with a fender headstock sticker..... it now plays soo much better.... i do love the cheeky price of these harley benton strats...i dont really need one but the neck looks chunkier i prefer that ....very tempted
in thomann's demos these pickups sound rather dark and hot. what would you describe the sound from your experience? on eq spectrum, how are the lows, mids and highs? and is the output on the hot or quiet side?
The best I can describe these is that they are quite similar to Mexican standard single coils. The output is in the middle I would say. They are a good pickup and personally I wont be changing them as I like the sound. Everyone is different though. Thanks from watching. If you have any other questions for away. :)
I have had this guitar for about 18 months and generally very pleased with it . Had a similar problem with the frets on the high E string choking when playing high up around the 12th fret but a tapping with a light mallet sorted it but whammy bar just randomly falls out and not sure why ?
Hey there mate, wanted to ask if ANY kind of extra purchases like tuners etc. Would be required for a professional experience on this strat as I am interested to buy this one
Thanks! Really informative Any views on Ibanez grx 70qa? Falls in the similar price category with a hsh combination any idea which sounds better? or any other recommendations in general within this price category :)
Currently I am also under the same choice: Ibanez GRX70qa and Harley Benton ST-70 Black Paisley. Which one did you opt and why? Are you happy with the choice?

How does the humbucker sound when split? I mostly use the 2nd and 4th toggle positions on a strat so I need that real strat sound on position 2. At least I'm assuming the bridge PUP needs to be split to get that real strat sound.
Brent, should I buy a Harley Benton black paisley tele and the Harley st59 Hank Marvin strat OR the squier classic vibe hank guitar?? I keep swinging between both options . I already have a Clapton strat and squier affinity. Cheers
Ooh tough one ... I think classic bibe is dearer but both great instruments. Good thing about Thomann is they have 30 day money back guarantee so you could try one out.
@@rosshorne4769 HB is better then the affinity series. The HB in the price range of the one in the video is about similar to the classic vibe. The CV might be slightly better out of the box. However with a good setup and maybe some upgrades it will be similar/better, for far less money.
@@BrentHutchinson yes, I knew before, but as I said you showed how it is affordable, and it is! On April I'll buy one, maybe first 😁, so I'll paste you the link of the video. Have a nice day, talk to you sooner as possible 😉
Have had mine for about a year. Had to replace the tuners but it's a fucking jam up guitar for what I paid for the fuckin thing. You didn't lie it's a good guitar and not just fot the money.
Hi there! Your videos show that a good guitarist like you are will make any guitar sing. But, the guitar in these videos are very poor made of very poor materials. I have one like yours and the body is not solid at all. At least 3 layers of diferent wood which steals tons of sustain. Don't care the nut you use, neither the bridge will hide this flaw. I've tried every solution. Nothing works because this horrible body. Electronics are fine and Roswell pups sound awesome. The neck is fine too, if you sand the excess of lacquer just to mount it straight. I hope it at least burns well on stage 😢. I am sorry man, but in my case at least this is my worst guitar ever.
I hear ya they are cheap. Sorry to hear yours will be fire wood. You could use some of the hardware I suppose on another guitar ? Keep rocking my friend .
did you know it's not such a good idea to remove ALL strings at once...........it has superb grain on the neck wood...........seems so........almost perfect.......(and i believe it's a one piece neck)
I just picked one up. Very impressed with it. It's solid.

Nice review... some good guitar knowledge as well, great to hear!
Thank you :)
They look great! I really don't need one, but I really want one!
So cheap too. good guitars :)
Great sound, great playing! Thank you for review!
Thanks for filming and sharing the year on review of Elvis Paisley........ M&MX / Mark T X

A very nice person! The ending of the Video was very nice. I love the Song. ;-)
Thanks for your review..
I m going to buy a B Stock.😊
Cheers from Nürburgring..Eric
Sera mi proxima guitarra, gracias por el video!!!
It's supposed to be 43mm nut at the neck? cause im looking or that...
do you think the routes would accept hum-single-humbucker? Thanks!
How it's called those tubes that you use in the strings at the tremolo?
its a way of helping your strings from snapping.
I liked the end, It gave me a good vibe.
No shielding at all!

I guess I am kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good place to watch newly released movies online ?
as many have pointed out there is no shielding, does it produce a lot of hum? thanks
No more than any other... Actually quieter than some Squires I have had.
really really well done man
Cheers dude

No they are great as they are
Hey can you tell me if the trussrod regulation is in the neck side or in the body side?
Thanks a lot!
It is at the headstock
Would you recommend buying used guitar for 110 € ? As my first electric?
Depends on the guitar.. you can find cheaper like a peavey raptor or predator. These are very good guitars or just buy a brand new Harley Benton .
It's Harley Benton ST-70 for 110€ and it's used
@@agag3711 I recon tour could get it cheaper
thx great review. I would like to get a stat like guitar but I could spend about 500 Euro. What Modell would you recommend?
I would get this and maybe the Telecaster and have change
Brent Hutchinson thx buddy
how big is the tremolo block? does it stay in tune after a huge dive or nah?
A nice chunky block. If you set it up right it's a stable trem yeah.
Brent Hutchinson thanks!

Hi the humbucker is very strat like when split. Its darker as you would expect not split. I mainly use the humbucker as is and the neck pup.

How would you describe the feel of the neck? Chunky, thin, etc? Thanks.
