Tanya, the bowl is absolutely gorgeous! I'm a newer sub to your channel and I've heard you say you use steel wool as part of the finishing process. Can you explain how you came to start using it in your process and what you like about it?

Would have been nice to core that blank and get another flame bowl from it.
I have bigger pieces I am saving for coring. Hopefully I can get to them soon.
@@TanyaBecherWoodturning which coring system do you have? My Oneway will do a 9” core and can be set for a shallower core by setting it off center. McNaughtons if you have that you know how adaptable they are.
I do have the OneWay with all knives. I have a couple dozen large pieces of Box Elder most of which are larger. I will core those larger pieces. As this bowl blank was fairly shallow and my time constraints kept me from even considering coring. I've seen the McNaughton system but have not used it. I was also seeing the Bowlsaver by Woodcut tools but have not seen its operation either. I also use the Korpro cutters vs the Oneway cutters. Mike Hunter's cutters are far superior against the Oneway cutters. I hope a wonderful day.
