Great content! REALLY great content, I love it. The absolutely most important point you made, IMO, was to have a connection over there. Having someone meet you at the airport and get you through the red tape is invaluable. I'm speaking as a white American, and having a local person meet me and escort me through the airport, and through the city jungle was invaluable. In fact, in my opionion, as someone who would like to promote tourism in the Congo, it would be really helpful for some Congolese startups to set up and host custom trips through the Congo.
I live in Sweden and have been this topics with the staff of Congolese embassy and i think the costumer care is chaos but also it depends with the earies.. i appreciate your explicitly about congo and we have responsabilité to explain and defend the image of our lovely country.
I hope you enjoyed the video, family! Have you ever been to a Congolese embassy before? If so, how was it? I share my experience at the end of the video and the frustration was real hahaha. Love you all. And the link to the eVisa is evisa.gouv.cd/
@@benfrank6420 Ayy Kinshasa would actually be one of the last on my list! I’m thinking of Goma, Kolwezi, Kikwit, Lubumbashi or any rural place (if you’re like me lol).
I was born in kananga but I’ve never been back since I moved to America I wanna visit next year but don’t really know where to go lol seems like you know more about our home than me lol
@@benfrank6420 Hmm...I think for someone who has been away for a long time, you can visit where you have family or friends. I’ve visited a few places in Congo, not a lot but I wouldn’t really pick Kinshasa (it’s too mainstream for me) 😂😂🙇🏾♀️ But in all honesty, Congo is beautiful everywhere. If you truly want to connect with the people though, I’d suggest you leave Kinshasa alone (unless it’s the easiest place for you and you have family there).
That’s the thing I don’t have any friends there I been in America since I was 6 I’m 32 now 😩 my family all over the place down there lol Kinshasa Kasai Goma but the only ones I remember is my grandparents and they past away since I been gone 😩😩
Hi there! I’m South African interested in moving to the DRC. Do you have any helpful websites and links to recruitment agencies to securing a job there? 💕
In the Uk the embassy looks like a chicken and chips there’s no toilet ect... overall the receptionist was very helpful and friendly even though she’s Indian
Yeah, actually most Congolese embassies have the same problem. They have that problem of ignoring people if they don’t know you. They don’t have customer care. And another bad think is infrastructure, ohhh my God 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️. The embassy looks like a small office. We need to raise our voice so that, they can change. I think we have a bad leadership. Congo is so beautiful 🤩 but we have a poor leadership in our government and I know one day it will change, because I believe on my fellow youth from Congo #ElokoYamakasi 💪🏿
Nigeria is on my bucket list Akin after Congo. My friend is getting married to a Congolese man and i am glad she is sharing this information before hand.

I only go there because I don't have a choice. But I have been in over embassy's here and the services is pretty much the same. I don't understand it. I guess better customer services is needed for most people who work in these embassies.
Yesss!!! Better customer service is truly needed because I also experienced the same in other African countries when applying for visas 😩 Thanks for leaving your thoughts.
Firstly, thank you very much for information that you provided. Honestly based on my research and basic knowledge of the country, in 2021, it is not safe to travel or move to the Congo, simply because of civil unrest in provinces such as Goma, and Kivu. Moreover; Kinshasa, is not safe due to KULUNA dominance in all communes in Kinshasa. Their primary targets are so-called " Bana ya poto" which means fellow countryman who lives abroad. Do not underestimate the danger in the Congo. Kuluna Gang don't have merci!!! for anyone. Their primary weapon is a "Machette". Robbery take place Day/Night. Be very cautious where you stay if you visit the Congo. Please note Kuluna has expanded to the majority of the Provinces such as the Ville of Matadi which is port of entry. Before considering a visit or permanent residency do your research.
If we had to do “research” about every African country before we travel there, we would never travel anywhere in Africa. Meanwhile everyone else is travelling there. I understand you personally wouldn’t want to go and that is fine. This video is for those who want to go. Stay safe :)
Stop fearmongering, yes, I do concede, Congo is more dangerous than most other countries however provided one takes the necessary safety precautions, the risk is minimal. It is worth noting Congo has a lower murder rate than places such as South Africa or British Anguilla both of which see high levels of visitors.
@@bigmankev8266 , Thanks for referencing what I mentioned in the above chronology of my current 2021 research as it relates to Congo and Kuluna's issues which are documented facts. Either you like it or not KULUNA, must be exposed just like any other vigilante group. Visitors who intend to visit the Congo must be aware of these danger so that they can make inform-decisions.( transparency is warranted ) In short, being objective is not fearmonger.
There is a Deaf community but they’re mostly very poor due to bad infrastructures and limitations in their careers of choice (I’m specifically speaking about Kinshasa the capital city so I can only imagine for the other provinces or cities)

Think twice before visiting the Congo. It is Kuluna land. very unsafe. Do your research.
