Welcome back soeur kitoko 🙏🏾 We missed you. "You can never know Congo enough" that's so true but with amazing contents coming from channel and Pappy Orion, we are unveiling the hidden gems of our country 🔥🔥🔥 I love the village lifestyle in Congo. Everytime when I went to visit my grandma I didn't want to go back to the city life. One lesson that I learnt is that people in the village were more friendly and very close in way that you couldn't tell the difference of who was/wasn't your relatives. People were so supportive and united. But that was 20 years, I don't know about now.
Mon ndeko! Of course, we will unpack the mysterious Congo one video at a time! Indeed, Congolese village life is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your experience with us and for the continued support as always :)
Please keep making these videos! I was born in America but spent 2 years in Angola (mostly where there are many congolese immigrants) your videos remind me of this part of my culture and your language videos remind of my Lingala 🙌🏽🙌🏽
I had to pause when you said you didn't know MJ? But then again my father loves music and we literally woke up to the sounds of music it could be valvildi (classical) to Evoloko (congolese singer), to jimmy Cliff (jamaican singer), to juan luis guerra (dominican singer)....another great video. I am city girl so it is really refreshing to hear from others experience.
I fall in love with Congo in 1995 when I first hear Kanda Bongo Man's music and other various artists like Sahlomon, Lady Isa, Pepe Kalle, Jean Baron, Lokassa Yambongo, etc but soon I will visit Congo soon but I don't have an idea where to go Kinshasa or Lubumbashi Lol
Thank you for your very informative videos. I hope to immigrate to DRC within a year, and you have helped me to better understand the country and it's people. God bless you and your family!❤
I appreciate you dear for the knowledge I have acquired from this great channel about a French speaking country were most historical data is written in French. I will always remember you for this.
Very enjoyable your description of your younger life years. Love the Rural Life too, me too, born and raised in small town in countryside away from the city. Thank you for sharing.
Im a subscriber but UA-cam doesn't send me the notifications. I don't k ow why. I'm proud of the channel growth and content, things have changed for the better, better quality of camera. Keep it up 💗🌟
Hi, Malkia. That happens sometimes, just double check that you have your notifications bell 🔔 turned on. Thank you for your kind words and for pointing out the improvements 🤎🤎
Big tech probably censors this channel for the same reason they censor Kevin's Corner. They don't like anything that isn't woke. And these same companies probably are stealing the minerals. A Congolese organization is currently suing big tech companies in the US. Globalism is like that. They screw every country.
One thing I would add to that is that it seems if you aren't born and raised in somewhere like Kinshasa it's not easy to rise to the top in sports. I know the big money in professional football is in Europe and there are DRC players up here but whether it's soccer or athletics I don't think it's easy to get the young protege in front of the talent scouts. I know we're spoiled because we have the Etihad just half a mile away and a tennis academy opened by Tim Henman (now being used to do Covid vaccinations) but even if you grow up in Rural Britain and show a talent for, say, running you can get help from your school to build on that. The Congolese up here follow what ever football clubs they want but you don't see them going mad for the DRC during Cup Of Nations time. When Trinidad made it to Germany in 2006 T&T went football crazy.
Hi! Just discovered your channel. I am originally from Bandundu, Mai Ndombe. I never had the opportunity to visit my village of origin but was lucky enough to travel to Bandundu ville and see the village life on my way there. It was an experience of a life time.
Love your video! Love that you're exposing people to another % of the Congo culture and life. Really wish you would say what was the nearest city to your town/village... I spent my first 7 years in Sona Bata, between Kinshasa and Matadi. Then we moved to Bandundu province, near Fatundu, on the wamba river. The congolese were always so friendly to me, I suppose it helped that I learned their language, and played soccer with them, and spent time in their homes.
Amazing! The way to a people’s hearts is definitely through their language a lot of the times. Where I grew up was in Bandundu as well. Maybe I’ll tell the nearest city in the future when I feel more comfortable :) Thank you for sharing your experience there with us :)
Hello again! I grew up and went to school in a rural part of the country. Luckily, it was some few kilometers from the district headquarters. So, it was kinda better than some rural areas. I guess the only difference between your and my village is that for us, each family lived(built) on its land and therefore the homesteads were far apart from each other. I think it is always better to come from a village that is near a major town or road (tarmacked). I watched a video of some guys who took a road trip from Lubumbashi to Kinshasa and i felt that i am lucky here. So, i understand if someone moved to, say, Kinshasa and forgot about where s\he came from. In my culture, we don't kill domestic animals like goats and chicken --- we slaughter them.
Hi! Thank you for sharing your story and culture with us. Yes, it can be very hard and expensive to move from one side of Congo to another due to the lack of infrastructure. Hopefully that gets better soon.
@@ImmigrantHubGermany my mum's aunty was a university lecturer in the US, when they fled Congo to US over 40 year ago. Her children education level was far more advanced than in the US especially since both her and her husband were working in Education.
it's a sign of failure for us to leave outside of our Kongo just like the ocean was made for all the living water creatures so was Kongo made for Kongolese. we should definitely go back home and help to change and build a new Kongo we need to sow and the future generations will reap we need to stop this selfishness and trust one another to do great things. To love God is to love Kongo and every Kongolese. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, cannot love God whom he hath not seen
