You need to do a step by step video. some of us just want a basic set up like this no fancy stuff that adds extra useless weight. Perfect set up easy to assemble/disassemble
I have a factory spray in truck bed liner. I wish I had a plastic one like this one. Makes it easy using the groves method. I may be looking for one now that I have seen this video. I am doing more of a no build, I am putting a leather lazy boy recliner a plastic truck box and a plastic drawer organizer. I can’t lay flat due to medical reasons. I do want to make a slide out drawer to make it easier to cook outside. Thanks for sharing your video.
This is the perfect setup for me! I’m wanting to go on some long trips with a friend and being able to use the bed as a couch to relax and then having it be two person for both of us is perfect! I’ll definitely have to save this video for when I start my build
I've got a older small camper as well! I actually did a video of my remodel of it! For solo camping the truck camper definetly simplifies things though!
BRADY-- I just like you to know how much I would love to hang out with you and do a photo shoot! You got to be one nicest people who ever drew a breath on this earth! Me in Montana and being an old man( 76 yrs old) and you Brady being clear across the country in New York! I'm well aware it won't happen, but just needed to let you know how special you are! Randy B. Thank you for being who you are! Stay Safe!
Thanks a lot Randy! Your comment means alot. I notice your continued support on my videos and I really appreciate that! I can tell you are a class act! Montana has gotta have some awesome landscape scenes i would love to photograph someday!
I like the old one better it suits me more. More simple and easy. I will be trying to build the first design after I buy a camper shell. However this one is probably cooler
Hey man. I have a tundra with a cap. I just built this to a T. YOU INSPIRED ME. I may be just one person but this changed my life. Thank you. Keep making vids
Slept many many nights in a set up very similar. My topper was a little taller and insulated. Could literally heat it with a candle . Saved my butt from sleeping in a tent, most of which leaked in the rain somewhere lol.
Wow!!! It's great to go from a couch, to one sleeper, and then to a two sleeper and also keep the cooler area where you can easily grab a cool one 👍. Most definitely I'm going with this build. Thanks you're awesome 👍👍
The bed is genius I've been concerned about seating space for work. This is a perfect fix for what I'm trying to do, Thank you so much for showing your setup!!
Yeah that's awesome ! Love the bad design, I will use that design, my camper top is 6 inches taller , that gives me headroom, appreciate you sharing. I watch for more
Cool setup! I never thought about the bed/couch idea, very creative! I had a cool idea when you slid the drawer out from under your bed... You could fabricate folding legs into the drawer that would fold flush into the drawer and the drawer would work exactly as you are currently using it, but if you wanted an outdoor table, you could pull the drawer completely out, flip it over and fold the legs down and have an outside table. Just a thought. Enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.
@@BradyHommel couldn’t he make the dog bed platform just rest over the drawer for a standing table and surface to cook outside, avoiding extra moisture inside the camper? Also, I recommend DampRid when you camp to absorb excessive moisture. There is a handy one that just hangs and collects water in the pouch. People and pets put out a lot of moisture when they sleep. Keeping it dryer will keep it cozier and smelling good.
For cold weather camping I recommend you try going with a cozy insulated, self inflating pad like the Exped Duo 10 Megamat or the single with an optional single for your backrest. Super comfy, warmer, firmness adjustable and won’t mold or get soaked like a regular piece of foam. Having them in single pieces insulates your side wall. I even put my megamat only partially inflated in my Hennessy Hammock and it’s the best sleep I can get! So cozy in a zipped up hammock with an extra large tarp pulled to the ground over it or my hammock tent, designed as a 10’x6’ tent for hammocks which gives you plenty of room to sit around in it and cook or have a pet. I’ve napped with my dog in the hammock too cuz I got the XL hammock for extra room! Lol
hey again after watching your video al the way I have come to a conclusion your a genius!😎 seriously I'ved watched lots of video's and I can see myself living quite comfortably and cozily in a camper setup like this and I like the bed setup for your furry friend your a thoughtful daddy 🐕😎
jus came across your channel I'm looking to do a no build very expensively for a future home on wheels I'm happy to have found yours I really like your setup and I agree with wanting to chillax in comfort and cook up a meal anyways have you been told you look like Donnie Wahlberg 😁hope you have a great day ☀️
I’ve been trying to plan out how I could build a big enough bed frame and have space to sit at the same time. The pull out bed is genius thank you so much
Over the last 2 weeks I've watched this video at least 5 times, and I'm about to watch it again. The use of space here is so perfect for me. Thank you so much for sharing. Im so eager and scared to start on my build. (the truck I have was given to me from my family and was my late grandmothers. Fingers crossed this comes out amazing and I make her proud)
@@BradyHommel as of now I’m researching the things I “need” but the hardest part right now is measuring accurately I always seem to get different sizes for the same thing or how to measure w the curve of the truck liner or the indents on the floor of the bed. then putting that on paper so I have a blueprint. Easier said than done, at least for me.
Some of you guys must have wives that are much more easygoing than mine. 🙂 When I measure the back of a mid-size pickup, the best you can do is just under a double size mattress going absolutely full width. You undoubtedly get a bit more width with from a full size pickup, but I am pretty sure I would have some serious explaining to do to my wife as to why the mattress doesn't go the full width of the box. 🤣
I love this build and am doing something similar in my F150. I love the height of the bed. And the counter space. This is an excellent layout and I’m glad I got to see it! Great job!
Love how this build all came together! Well executed and efficient. Love that you thought of your dog for this build - I did the same. Thanks for sharing!
nice i am going to lower mine as well i thought i needed more under storage but i rather have head room than storage thanks ..happy holydays stay safe so we all can enjoy camping Rene florida , usa
Could you give me instructions on how to build that platform for the bed or a video on the specs or how to do it. I’m looking for the exact same thing. Thank you!
I like your ideas. Instead of having the bed frame pull out, could you use plywood, cut in half, and stored on top of your counter? Also, Harbor Freight has rollers that fit in the low points of the bed, for the shelf.
I love the simplicity of this, just what I was looking for.
Glad to hear that! I have a couple others on the channel as well that you may get some ideas from.
Looks like you need to cut a rug. Literally. Awesome build.
Ok I like this build better than the first one. Thanks
Thank you!

I just watched the whole video in hopes of seeing his dog. I only saw a tail. Needs more dog.
😂 I actually thought of that. I'm bummed I didn't add them in to it.
LOL
Dog would literally shit, piss, wipe it's ass on everything. Wouldn't step near this vehicle knowing that rodent was in there.
@@johncarroll4080 someone doesn’t like dogs.
@@johncarroll4080 That is a useless comment. Do something more positive.
Out of all the 100 camper shell videos I’ve watched this seems the most appealing for me
Glad you like it!
I LIKE THIS STYLE EVEN BETTER, MORE LIVABLE DURING INCLEMENT WEATHER...
this is my favorite setup ive ever seen and I am definitely using this for my build. thank you so much
Good to hear! Good luck on your build! Thanks for the comment!
Same here!
@@BradyHommel I also agree with Jared I’ll be using this for my new truck build. Luckily I’ve got a raised cap and it’ll give me that extra headspace

You sold me on the "pull out" bed. I'm def adding this feature into my '77 F-150 build 8' bed. Thanks for the video.
Nice and simple! Great build.

Awesome! I may redo it with some better material. I literally built it in a couple hours with basically some scrap wood. Lol
I like the couch design bed, very good idea 👍
Great setup, simple, it’s all you need. We tow a tiny camper full time, super fun but love the idea of an all in one camper ! Thanks for sharing
