It was so nice to see a real dude do this and to build on a budget. When I saw him use a house stapler I was like finally real ideas.

It was definitely the stapler for me too! Namaste

Finally! Someone who has done what I'm thinking about doing...
Yes! I want to take all the back seats out and use all that space for the 'camper'.
I oscillate between a van and a 4WD - but I know I love the convenience of being able to drive anywhere, and not worry about getting stuck.
It will only be me, so there would be plenty of space.
    Thanks for sharing.

Instead of a screen for the windows there is a product an Amazon, I think it’s called a window sock, that’s almost like a pantyhose material that slips over the upper window portion of the car door. So it effectively creates a screen on both sides of the door.

Yeah but in the rain, a mess. Must dry sufficiently before storing to prevent mold. Also, many don’t seal sufficiently, leaving saggy gaps to tinker with to ensure no bugs get in. Those mosquitoes bop around to find any tiny hole then tell their community 😉. I like this guy’s method. Reasonable, efficient and simple. Well done.

Brilliant idea to reuse the bolts and holes! But I am not going to remove my leather backseat and install the kind of permanent bed in the rear.

Like the easy solutions then needing a drill for everything. That generator though was money. Love it.

Lot of interesting ideas, compliments. The only drawback i might point out is that if you create a platform with different levels it will only work for a single user. While if you stay on the same level the double bed is always there, you just need to move things around maybe putting the excess on the roofrack.

It's not the staple gun that was amazing - it's the STAPLER. That was a dude hack for sure. Excellent for non-sewers, such as myself.
