20:35 not staying flat
32:33 standing up is best defense
Whenever a new Globetrotter's video comes out, I immediately hope it's Priit
Thanks CG!!!
:) ...I appreciate it!
Hah, same.
in short protect your ribs, boxing shoulder, wrist fight, rollout when there is no weight/pressure, work in combinations. Stand up
Pretty much I guess ...sounds simple :D
So I am just beginner but boxing shoulder is somewhat natural to me - I have some boxing experience. So just doing that instead of waving my arms around and getting caught already improved my defense . I can survive longer. I just keep my elbows tight just like in boxing when protecting body shots it feels right and it helps - best of both worlds!
@Max priit has an under hook video aswell you should check it out all about that armpit and rib space
Priit’s approach to jiu-jitsu is an absolute game changer.
Thank you for that!
Just when we thought you went hollywood on us with bjj fanatics you bless us once again with a free seminar.
:)
Any white belt who is looking for the best STRATEGY, to learn, to spar, and to enjoy jiu-jitsu training from day one should listen carefully to everything here and "especially" from 39: 33 to the end, which is something to WRITE DOWN, and to apply. Priit will make us all enjoy jiu jitsu more. Thank you :-)
Thank you for that!
Priit can't agree with you more. I hate the way that BJJ/MMA is taught nowadays. Thank you for enlightening people on a better way to think and train. Loving the videos
Thank you :)
38:20 - "I don't like that black belt is a swiss army knife...Black belt is Macguyver with a toothpick." - Priit Mihkelson
Fantastic. Loved the black belt analogy. I always thought of black belts not as a swiss army knife but as a scalpel - a precision cut at the right time.
Yup ...I think it is a bit misleading to say swiss army knife
Superb, as always.
Im curious how this system goes against wrist locks because you dont need to really go past the elbow ??
Solid and logical!
Please put out the darce videos.
They will film it in August during the Globetrotters Austria camp
Wow Priit your biceps are so big now :)
Acai
Well ...I guess a little bit of lifting does that :)
Fire intro.
What happened at 24:20?
Creepy crawly was heading for Priit... it was close!
@@FlorianDedio that makes so much sense
What happened during the "what the fuck?!" moment?
This is UA-cam too, no?
This guy's game is the opposite of what jiujitsu people teach.. not wrong, just different
Not totally. There are people that do escape in similar ways like Marcelo Garcia, Keenan Cornelius and Jacare. Wrist control as a means to stop guard passes and as a means of control is not new. I would admit that most bjj instructors would not advice giving the back as a means of escape, but he doesn't fully give up the back. He does it before giving them any good control.

Anyone notice the Swastica on the wall
It's an old Icelandic symbol. Not a Nazi gym haha
@@BJJGlobetrotters Problems comes when someone see it as a hate symbol.
@@BJJGlobetrotters By the way ...excellent explanation of the art - academic.
Looks like a kolovrat to me goofball and it’s awesome
