    I just rolled against a 24 well built wrestler. I’m 44, he tried to choke me from the back, triangle arm, he did everything, I just used hawking, at the end the guy was so tired, that when I barely took his foot for an Aquiles, he tapped. Priit is the Man!!

    Just a random neat thing: that long tracking shot at the end with Priit walking and giving feedback to almost every pair looked really cool and cinematic.

    I need to get this down better. I very much want to teach it. I had a good turtle that Priit made great. Panda came easily off of that. Running man is still a work in progress but I can teach it.
    For whatever reason, Hawking and Baby Bridge evade me a bit.
    I think I'm going to turn this into an eco game for my fundementals class and jump in myself.
    Its awesome to watch the end knowing Priit found the space for his gym and it looks awesome.

    Thanks for stopping off in CT. It was a fantastic lesson.

    This is absolutely brilliant. I know it will turn many off because it is not offensive and doesn't look cool, but this is pure gold in terms of being able to confound your partner and then mount an attack when they are frustrated and least expect it. Not the best system for tournament, but for rolling in class, I find this is fantastic especially against larger opponents.

    Would love to see more on your face Crank defense. I know that getting back taken and fighting a face Crank is Many mistakes in, but I. Wondering if you can elaborate more about it.

    Priit: Shows a posture that eliminates literally every attack from the back and even invites everyone to try and break it.
    Most BJJ people: Nah! I'll put my back on the floor.

    Priit i am really incorporating a lot of these hawking discoveries into my own game and building my own back defense system. It is fantastic! You and wim deputter are awesome lynch pins and make me very curious about jiu jitsu

    Priit derails everything I have ever been taught. It took me a solid year to work on the running man. I prefer it much more than try to shrimp and regain guard. Especially being a big guy.

    Gordon ryans instructional recommends a claw grip with the topside arm to regain chest to back alignment. You should test this as well.

    Compare this escape to the running man style escape you published in 2018. Seems like then you were teaching this as a "cross" when you push over to the underhook side. Now, you are showing to do this on the choking side.

    So if someone goes for the bow and arrow 🏹 with their head above you rather than underhook downside would you use this and try and prevent their bottom leg coming out? I tried reverse baby bridge but got surprised when the guy attacking put his knee in my back instead?

    Pritt thank you some of the best understanding of ne-waza i ever seen his uke perspective is what all should desire with no defense there's no health bar 🙏🏽💯......i love how beginner friendly his videos are ..... I love how he simply have real Answears to real problems.........i never thought to stand after backing hips in ....i either knee barr if bottom leg comes in or i sumi geshia if i get my top hook.....they usually get there leg over before i began to stand but deep u can just stand if u clear enough upper body control......i use alot of kesa gatame in body side control when face away in order to keep connection with opponent n get a simple sweep with having his head n shoulder control ....im able to build my base easy........ But this was just as gd really .....thank you for this very informative video💯💯

      But they're not theories. They're actually common positions that you use all the time in foundational BJJ and wrestling movements. Priit is just codifying and refining it all into a consistent curriculum while trying to extract mechanical truths on why they work the way they do.

    • @KaninTuzi
      @KaninTuzi 6 місяців тому

      He is not inventing any of this. He is just creating nomenclature and systematizing this specific type of techniques/positions. Some of this is what would be called "invisible jiujitsu", where a master can apply angles and pressure in ways that kill your leverage. Of course, the invisible part does nothing for the jiujitsu community, so some explicit mapping of these techniques is welcome.

    When do you use baby bridge and when do you use hawking?,? So confusing priit!

    • @Bradley9967
      @Bradley9967 11 місяців тому +1

      It is a little confusing, but once you have these two down, you can experiment throughout your entire jiu-jitsu.
      They're like musical notes, they vary in each song.
      Here's where my understanding is.
      Hawking can be used to defend any submission. If you get into Hawking then your safe.
      In Hawking your safe 360 degrees.
      Baby bridge your only safe if you're facing your opponent usually.
      So why would you want to use baby bridge, because you may not be able to get to Hawking, or you may want to quickly return to an offensive cycle.
      There's also a mini baby bridge, but lets not go there.

    Im 5'7 160 at the moment 165 frfr every body traingles me frfr from da back every one like 6'0 ft.... i use this curling motion to essentially grammy roll over my shoulder in order to come out the back...... I tbh have rolled out of body triangles to but it only works if they have very weak chest to my back connection
    .......i think putting pressure on the choking arm is da point having a 2 on 2 grip with a guy on ur back makes since to 2v1 dosnt seem practical frfr im glad u agree ....n i like how u posture out of positions n not sag🔥🔥🔥💯...... Samurai in Japanese culture did combat on there feet not there backs 💯💯🙏🏽
