So how exactly did Chuck Norris become the Go To tough guy of internet jokes? Believe it or not, it all started with Vin Diesel on the Something Awful.com Internet forums back in 2005, the same year Vin Diesel’s hit film The Pacifier saw release.
Ian Specter, founder of the Chuck Norris facts website, frequented the forums on Somethingawful.com and became engrossed with a conversation about the love/hate relationship with Vin Diesel and his legion of fans as well as haters.
Specter was fascinated with how divisive people were about Vin Diesel and how Diesel was either “loved for his badass-ness or mocked for it” and how The Pacifier caused most people to “shift to the latter camp”.
Members of the forum started to attribute strange “facts” about Diesel, amusing but often impossible feats of strength, intelligence and prowess.
This sparked an idea for Specter, who was a college freshman at the time. He created a website that generated random quotes about Vin Diesel and posted the link to the forums. Within 24 hours, the website received over 20,000 hits.
After several months, the audience began to grow tired of poking fun at The Pacifier star. Specter says, the poll he put up had a dozen options to pick from as well as a write-in option. Most people wrote in Chuck Norris. Specter knew very little about Chuck Norris at the time, but decided to give the people what they wanted.
The Chuck Norris "facts" and memes became legendary all across the globe. I can only imagine what history books will say 1000 years from now when talking Chuck Norris. How will they separate fact from fiction? Let’s say there’s a nuclear fallout, a great reset, and humanity has forgotten it’s past and archaeologists are only now rediscovering it. Me and my best friend met him in Lexington ky on March the 10th 2018. We got our picture made with him. The picture cost 130 bucks but it was well worth it to me. Chuck is one of my childhood heroes. It was he’s 78th birthday that day. Chuck is a good Christian man. I still can’t believe I met him. It was Really surreal.

Chuck Norris is a legend for many reasons. At one point in time, he was the world Karate Champion, he's been in tons of movies, where he displays his Martial Arts skills, he was in the popular and long running Walker Texas Ranger series, the man had a fight scene with the best Martial Artist of all time (Bruce Lee), you have the gym equipment stuff and the Chuck Norris jokes. No matter where you turn, it's hard to kiss Chuck Norris.

If i remember correctly after the cameo in "Dodgeball" staring by Ben Stiller on 2004 the Chuck Norris facts became famous on internet. @@VikingSamurai It didn't have a chance. None of the pros liked the 1 3 min all out rules. It was like a toughman with kicks. Bill Wallace had the right idea for an adjustment, 2 2 min rounds with a min in between. Gets the coaches more involved and everyone likes heroes. With 2 2 min rounds a fighter can have the ability to make a comeback and win and makes things more exciting. Novel idea for a sport but it didn't go well.
Didn't it use like a team, point based system? So even if an individual fighter won he could still lose if the team lost?

I met him after losing my job as a technician at the Kitt Peak Solar Observatory. The scientists in charge of the facility thought I'd messed with the equipment when they saw a flicker go across the surface of the sun.
