However, today, we actually found some answers to what were they thinking for some games.. Such as, we know the history of Superman 64 or Action 52.

Makes a good contrast with the James and Mike Mondays. I started watching the nerd videos, but now my fav are James and Mike Mondays for that reason. I can't stand most youtube gameplay type vids (with people talking rubbish) but the James and mike ones are always hysterical, or just good fun if its a full playthrough of a really tough game like Battletoads. Fuck that game, I never got past the third level.

It’s exactly this. I always theorized that Avgn was mostly written by Mike as it’s his style of humour and not James’, as seen in James & Mike videos.
Strange how James didn't mention Mike being the one that pushed him into doing another nerd episode.

+ Skudzer1985 Well, he actually said it in the "Nerd room 2006" bonus video. James even explained that Mike was the one that gave him most of the consoles in the beginning, in order to continue with the videos. So, he did paid tribute to Mike.
If I remember correctly it was mentioned by Mike when Pat the NES Punk was interviewing him. It was also Mike that pushed James to put the first AVGN videos on UA-cam. Prior to that everything was on his website.

Jessie TheMedic, I feel the same. In fact my favourite episode is the Swordquest one, where (if I remember correctly) he doesn't swear a single time.
I agree, that's why I really love episodes such as SwordQuest, NES Accesories and Gameboy Accesories.
And why the Sega Accesories was rather dissapointing to me.

Zomagedon I think it's better that he only releases them as infrequently as he does. It gives him time to work on them and make a good episode. If he cranked them out weekly, quality would undoubtedly suffer, and he'd get burned out.

Miko The old videos weren't authentic though, the videos were always an act he put on, the Karate Kid is his 3rd episode and he admitted before that he would exaggerate himself during it and purposefully make the gameplay look bad
