Exactly - and these hounds were too stupid to figure out that they should dispose of ANYTHING that suggested they might have to do with a crime. They had MONTHS to throw things in a river or burn them... They knew they were suspects, and they kept things that proved that they had planned the whole thing: map to the house, recorded conversations, file used to remove the gun's identifying marks... Sub-human intelligence going on here, to match their sub-humanity in general.

Lawrence was nothing but a selfish negligent individual. His relationship with Millie had already been troubled before they were married. She had every reason to fear him especially after how he bragged about how he shoved a fellow sailor off a ship deck (during a stint in the navy) and making it appear accidental. Tiffany was at his trial and at the sentencing hearing she shouted at him “I hate you, I hate you so much, you killed my family”. He showed no emotion of any kind. He died in February of 2017. Tiffany did visit him at the prison hospital and she told him that she was willing to forgive him but her father never apologized to her nor even accepted responsibility for his crimes.

" These guys were so smart to commit such a crime"? Seriously? You think that it's smart to murder three defenseless and innocent people? And no, they would not have got away with it apart from showing ID. The police would automatically have suspected the ex-husband, as he had motive, motive and motive (hate for his wife; owing back child support; and cashing in on his son's death). The daughter's testimony would have made them zero in on the ex-husband even more. All the physical evidence - like the file used to remove the numbers from the murder weapon, which the shooter left in his back yard - would have mounted up. They started to suspect the shooter from the phone records.

People are complaining about the audio and background music like this channel, Real Crime, has anything to do with it. Real Crime did not make or produce "The FBI Files". This series ran between 1998 to 2006 on the Discovery Channel and was produced by New Dominion Pictures. If you have any complaints email them. This UA-cam channel just shares the episodes and has nothing to do with the audio issues from the original production. True Crime did not add the music or sound. If someone has the ability to adjust the final product's audio then please fix it and upload it to your UA-cam channel. Not everyone has the technology or know-how to fix audio issues that the original producers failed to fix before airing it. If you had watched it on TV when it aired it would have been the same audio quality. It's frustrating but it's not True Crime's fault and I'm just grateful to be able to watch this show that I used to watch years ago on TV. Thanks, True Crime!

Not all murders have a motive tho. Unless just wanting to kill someone could be considered a motive. That's why serial killers and many spree killers kill. It's a crazy world, always has been. Greediness and jealousy are two of the biggest motives for murder.

It's a shame Milly and her son didn't live a few miles over into Virginia. I believe the death penalty is still existent there. This case really hit home, as I am a single Mom with a special needs child and my Ex lives in California. I almost went to an attorney for child support, but was too scared. Watching this episode certainly makes me think I made the right decision. Rest in Peace Milly and her sweet son- and the nurse, too. Nurses do so much and this nurse gave her life.

For those believing or claiming that the hit man book that figured in this case was “banned,” it was not. It has never been banned by the government. Watch and listen to what the narrator actually says in the film.
The book led to numerous law suits to hold the publisher liable for contributing to deaths, including a law suit against the publisher for the three deaths in this case. The family prevailed, and received millions of dollars in compensation. To protect itself from further civil liability and potential financial ruin from these and any future cases, the publisher voluntarily stopped publication and allowed the remaining volumes of the 12,000 printed copies to sell out. Some non-original copies being sold claim falsely that the book is in the public domain. In fact, the publisher still owns the rights to the book, so any non-original copies of the book being sold, whether produced as hard copies or electronically, are being sold illegally in violation of the publisher’s rights to their intellectual property.

Well I'm sorry but books like that and books on how to build bombs should be illegal to publish in the first place. And before anyone starts saying shit about right to free speech, books like Hit Man are NOT free speech for the simple reason that they cause things like this case to happen. When your book basically provides step-by-step instructions on how to commit murder that book is an unspoken threat to pretty much everyone alive. Anyone who would write and publish a book like this should be ASHAMED of themselves, because if their book is then used to kill someone that victim's blood is on THEIR hands just as much as it is on the actual killer's hands.

The Hitman book detailed surveillance techniques, weapons to use & how to transport them, destroy any identifying features, build a home-made silencer... not info that Perry would have been able to find out so easily _without_ the book.
