Really appreciate the RX 5700/XT coverage. It’s helping me choose my preferred version. Would be cool to have a summery once all the cards have been reviewed: going over their pros and cons, and weighing them against one another
    Keep it up :)

make sure you do your research the card has alot of quirks i just returned my red devil, and am in a toss up of either going with the saphire nitro + or the asus 2070 super, side note if you have asus aura do not use any rgb software to control the other aib cards cause it will jack up the asus software and you gotta use cc cleaner then shut down the pc and flip the power switch to get the rgb power caps drained to reset the memory just to get the rgb to register again to the software as being plugged in.

I'm a fairly coil-whine sensitive person, and I have consistently had issues with higher end cards. I bought the Sapphire Pulse which had no coil whine, but the fans hummed very loudly once they started spinning up, I was extremely disappointed and had to return it. Against my better judgement I decided to get a different 5700 XT a chance but actually it worked out well! The MSI Gaming X is close to flawless for me. It doesn't run that hot, the fan speed is very reasonable and there's no noticeable coil whine. Hope that helped you- please don't get sapphire pulse. Even in a different video its fans hummed obnoxiously, and it's mind blowing that this is not mentioned anywhere..

@@rahulkonwar15 well my issue inhad with it is during game gameplay on blade and soul the GPU didnt clock properly and would stay at 700mhz and drop to 5 mhz during gaming, this would cause a massive from drop of 120 down to 15-20, and stuttering while turning the camera, also if you use a asus mobo dont use the red devil software to control the rgb on the card cause it will make your mobo not detect any rgb devices and is a pain to get working again

I also had issues with a stutter on apex from the game instance to the game menu, it was common in almost all games a stutter in the menu. Some people on reddit said all my frequency and stuttering was due to having msi afterburner installed to monitor temps.

Watching these reviews from HUB and GN a year later, I'm feeling a lot more confident in my decision to get this card, not only because it was just about the only gpu available when I was buying parts for my new build a month ago, but also because it was priced at just US$399 when I bought it. Not a bad deal, I'd say.

If you happen to still have the card, do you use it with default settings or have a custom fan curve and tuning set? What would you recommend from your experience? My friend got one used but his PC started crashing in every game. Took it in, applied Kryonaut and changed thermal pads but temps don't look much different with the Hot Spot reaching 114°C while gaming, don't know what to do. Plus he wants to record game play and I'm not sure what settings to use.

    G'day Steve & Ad Tim,
I loved the Mug ad, but I use Vegemite Jars for Pens, Mini Screwdrivers, Screws, Thermal Paste, So for the Aussies can you make a HUB Vegemite Jar 😁
My thoughts in the RX5700XT it reminds me of the Sapphire R9 Vapor &Toxic Cooler Shrouds,
I also like that the theme matches the X570 Taichi M/B,
Now I've watched the review it is a bit of a Disappointment, especially the price 😞

I don’t need to run the system full tilt since the PC is used to trade stocks options and futures which does not stress the video cards. The cost of this single card beats having to purchase two mid-range cards.

@@nafishazwan2275 Yeah, I've heard that for some people chrome would not work, I had some bad issues with it, I had random blue screens and it made an annoying sound above 65 degrees it was not coil whine it was just defected. But it is an entry level rx 5700 xt so dont expect much of it. It is a very loud card.

Do you have planned any big gpu/cpu benchmarks? For some particular game? I don't game anymore so I don't know what games are worth doing big benchmarks for, but I'd love if you benchmarked a bit older cpus in some new title(or titles if you only do fewer cpus, I realize it's more time-consuming to switch cpus than gpus) :D
Edit after watching vid: Damn, I had thought the Taichi could be quite good, but you proved it quite meh, as I want it to be quiet. What would we do without you..

Davide Sangiorgi with the aib partner cards you're not really buying much performance, a few percent at best, you're mostly buying thermals and quieter operation.

Loved the Mug as a Thermal Paste holder. You should have a running meme about the Mug's multiple or possible uses. ^_^ Found it truly funny. About the card, seems to me that memory bandwidth is a serious limiter for the 5700xt performance, any way to test that theory, like a memory scaling experiment?

What software have you been using to OC/monitor, i just returned my red devil 5700 xt because the clock frequencies were unstable in diff points of diff games but extremely horrendous in games that dont max the card out usage wise. Blade and soul the game would be pegged at 120fps then start to stutter just turning the camera and fall all the way to 15 fps with a clock speed of 5 mhz. People on reddit say its because i simply had MSI afterburner running in the background just to monitor temps, while using the radeon software to OC. Any thing set above 2100 mhz the card didnt know how to utilize properly and it would sky rocket to 2300+ and crash the driver / pc.

Hi guys, I have a strange problem with my new build pc. My first Pcie x16(msi b450 gaming pro carbon ac) does not take my geforce gtx 970(the red led vga is on), does not pass bios phase. If I replaced it with geforce 210(no power leads needed) it pass bios no problem, I tried multiple solutions as clear cmos, different PSU, new bios installed, nothing works. Then I tried my gtx 970 in the second pcie x4 and it works just fine. So the card is ok, and it seems that first Pcie slot works just fine. The other things is, even with new bios there is no click bios 5, just the old looking click bios. Can somebody help please. Thank you

The real advantage of the Card is the additional Video Outputs, if you want/need them of course.
Maybe you should give TIm the Card and let him connect 6 Monitors and do something with it and make a video about that.

None of the reviews are calling out what justifies the price: the ports make this the ideal graphics workstation card, allowing uses that otherwise require multiple synced Quadro cards otherwise. For those that need it, it more than justifies the price.

Personally, I think the more 5700XT models reviewed the better, and good job on doing this one. I was looking forward to watching your review on this but the overall performance looks to be slightly disappointing compared to the other offerings. I think my first choice would be the MSI Gaming X, followed very closely by the Powercolor variants, as well as the Sapphire Nitro. I like the look of the Taichi model but not really any more than the other ones mentioned.
