As someone who isn’t 13 yet who started experiencing dysphoria at age 10 and have been struggling to come out as non-binary, I wish I could give you all the hugs in the world.

Ahh this just reminded me of the time I saw a video on how to make a binder and basically it was just two sports bras but one of them was backwards and I remember the feeling when I looked at myself in the mirror every single time. even at school I would just take a sec to look how flat it looked and I just felt..good. sadly my mom caught me and said if I wore two again she would take away my laptop and phone but I'm glad your showing people how to make a binder! lots of love
I already run a small (local) business where i create sewn plushies and fix people clothing, and i will be investing some skill into making binders with the help of this video! I hope i can be a help for other young trans boys that cant get their own.
This seems like a great tutorial! I know how to sow well enough that I don’t know how hard it is to follow if you have not made clothes before but I love how you use examples of fabrics that most people might have access to. I never found a binder that didn’t both hurt after 15 minutes (my autism sensitivity and the binders did not get along) and fail to keep my chesticles from falling down but they were still a big help in making me figure out my gender and realize that I needed top surgery.
got sent this by a friend a while back, and now just recently got a new binder after losing my old one back in middle school. this vid helped me a bunch back when i was struggling with gender dysphoria :)
I appreciate this tutorial so much - I only realised I'm nonbinary this year at 34 years old, and along with that came the realisation that my chest makes me dysphoric some days (I've always had the feeling, I just couldn't figure out what it was). The range of binders available is so overwhelming and they're too expensive to try a lot of different kinds, and the one I did get just kinda didn't sit right on me (probably in part because I have a very large chest), and learning how to make my own seems like a real gamechanger. Plus if I make them with cute colours/designs, I might be able to wear them like the cropped vests I've learnt I love recently!
Never sleep in a binder, we never know what can happen and there are chancea of fainting or having problema because of lack of air, especislly when you sleep. Take care of yourself ily
This shown up up on my recommendations several months ago before I even started questioning and I thought it was funny bc I had an inside joke that I was secretly a trans guy but now I'm looking up how to make a binder and this was the first one to appear and I wanted to thank you for that full circle moment and the happiness you have brought so many people
@@anglephrog2215 I have an educated guess: It may mean a person with 3 genders at once, due to the tri, which means three. Either that or the person mistyped transgender instead lol
Why was I actually about to cry when he said he was my big brother now? Also I'm so glad I watched this. I'm a female, she/they, have no want for a binder, but this has be on my FYP for so long so I watched it. Love you Quin!
nice tut! i love utilising home materials to make gender affirming binders! Yippee! I love how quick and snappy the video is, while still keeping that raw humour in there :)) you're defo gonna go places dude! gah i wouldve needed this when i was younger lol, but not anymore haha
when i got my first binder, i would wear it all the time (i was in school). Even during gym, it's really not a good idea to wear binders if it hurts i know from experience 😖 but this tutorial is really amazing! i will definitely have to try it out someday, keep doing what your doing! Your amazing!!
Awww this is so heartwarming. My dad would kick me out after giving me a heart attack if he new I was transgender, i was transgender snice I was 12 now I'm 16. I stopped even being in the closet transgender when I saw a toxic cisgender gay guy who said transgender men couldn't ever be a real man. That made me really upset and it still does.... That's why I'm just now trying to help my dysphoria again. I just wanted a cisgender male to say "oh you're a pretty boy" "that's my boy" but no I got laughed at. I already am a long haired tran man. It hurts so much. I just wanted reassurance. I still do. My ONLY friend who I told I was transgender doesn't even remember my birth name. And other people I meet block me because I don't look like a stereotypical cute transboy. I just honestly have no hope :]
Hi! I know it can feel hopeless rn because being a teenager means you have less freedom of expression. I promise it gets better. You will find more people who don't remember your birth name, more people who think you're a gorgeous long haired boy, more people who see you for you, not for the stereotypes and phobias they have been taught. It may take time, but I, a random queer stranger on the internet, believe in you; I value you; I am so glad you are here fighting this fight to express ourselves with me.
Hello, I'm a young genderfluid person and I understand this (not from direct experience, from a very close trans friend I have). We go to a pretty homophobic/transphobic school and it's hard to find acceptance, but I'm sure you'll be able to find it somewhere! My friend and myself were able to find it in our little friend group (after a bit of searching I may add) and I'm sure you can. I know I'm just some random person on the internet, but know that I support you!
Thank you so much , as a trans boy who's wanted a binder for years I deeply appreciate you making this tutorial !! And I also have shared with a few friends
Watching this just so this vid can go popular and reach more people that need to watch it and make it and just so they can feel secure and feel good about themselves ❤and u r doing a wonderful job on this one
thank you so much for this!!! im a closeted transmasc genderqueer and my chest is the main reason for a lot of my dysphoria. i’ll update this comment whenever i’m left home alone long enough to be able to follow this tutorial without someone walking in on me lmao
I don't have the money for a proper binder and live in a really transphobic household so couldn't have one shipped to the house anyway, so this is really helpful. I'm bookmarking this vid rn. Thanks for this! Also love how you made this with harry potter merch lmao
My mom say i am "too young" to decide my gender or what i want to wear, yesterday she argued to me abt me liking "boy clothing" We were in the shop to buy a outfit for me going to a 15 years party of a friend, and she was making me uncomfortable showing me too girly stuff that i dont like, she made me wear a dress and omg i got so uncomfortable i wanted to cry but hold up tears, and when i said "no, i cant see myself wearing this." She said "of coursr you can you are beautifull in it" Later i told her she made me uncomfortable and shr started asking me with anger " SO WHAT YOU WANT TO WEAR? SAY ME, SAY ME? YOU WANNA DRESS AS A BOY??!!"" I have rights you know? I can yes use the clothing i want and i can yes dress as a boy. And even if i tell her i am trans, she is sort of homophobic you know? She will still treat me as a girl, she thinks that being trans is not feeling yourself another gender, its not something that gives you dysphoria, shr treats transexuality as "dressing as the oposite gender". I Already told her i like girls, and she looks like not understanding that, she constantly say about me having a "boyfriend"(i dont, i dont have a partner at all). She knows nothing about LGBTQIA+, and dont look like want to learn. Everytime she sees someone trans outside she whispers to me "oh she is trans women" like its a weird thing. But AT LEAST, she underdtand i dont like showing my chest, and i guess if fine with me wearing a chest binder, but anyways, my mom dont understand me when we are talking abt this, she dont even understood me in my life.
Tysm!!! I already gotten a binder, and I am saving this video for when it breaks and I need a new one :D! Again tysm, and I loved this video your 100% gonna be famous in no time >:D
Words cannot contain how thankful I am for this tutorial😭😭😭, I'm too broke to buy a binder + trans phobic parents and I've been looking EVERYWHERE for a tutorial. Thank you big brother Quin😭😭😭
Hello ! It's been two month so your not gonna see it, but. I'm a cisgender guy, and I have a hormonal difformation that make me have some kind of breast, and your tutorial really helped me. So thanks your for your help, stranger from the internet!
I finished mine a little while ago, i have a small chest/ im still growing and the difference isnt that noticable but it makes me feel alot better about myself! Thank you
Thank you very much for this tutorial. I am a trans masc as well and am large breasted , so finding a binder that doesn’t cut into my skin has been hard to find.
question for trans people: is it okay if I (AFAB + cis) use a binder (safely), simply because I prefer the aesthetic of a flat chest? or is that harmful to the trans community or anything?
I'm going to go up to my mom asking for a binder like: "mom I promise its for a school project." But holy cow, thank you so much for making this tutorial. Ive been needing a binder for years and my mom has been refusing to get one.
@Hades_Daughter i don’t think there’s a size that’s too big for binding! The larger the chest is, the less a binder flattens, but even if it doesn’t completely flatten it can still help with gender dysphoria. For example, I have a DDDD chest so I’m on the larger side, and even though I don’t get completely flat (it kind of just looks like I’ve brought myself down to a B cup), I generally can’t leave the house without a binder bc it’s the only way I’m comfortable lol
@@QuinCaidWrites Thank you so much! I honestly know nothing about sizing either lol. Nobody ever explained it to me. 🤣 I really appreciate you responding! I've been thinking about binding for a while, and I'm so happy I stumbled across you and your channel. Have a lovely rest of your day!

got sent this by a friend a while back, and now just recently got a new binder after losing my old one back in middle school. this vid helped me a bunch back when i was struggling with gender dysphoria :)
Saving this because I'm TOTALLY cis 😇

Thanks for this! My teen wants a binder and funds are low, but mama knows how to sew! I appreciate all the good advice.
You are so welcome! I’m sure your teen will really appreciate it :)
Omg that is actually so sweet 🫶🫶

@@Definitely_not_Julius_Caesar I'm trying my best!
i saw the rules and then i realized ive been wearing my binder for like 3 days straight. holy moly!
Never sleep in a binder, we never know what can happen and there are chancea of fainting or having problema because of lack of air, especislly when you sleep. Take care of yourself ily
This shown up up on my recommendations several months ago before I even started questioning and I thought it was funny bc I had an inside joke that I was secretly a trans guy but now I'm looking up how to make a binder and this was the first one to appear and I wanted to thank you for that full circle moment and the happiness you have brought so many people
I’m trigender so sometimes my gender EXPRESSION changes. This will help me a lot when I want to bind. Tysm! 💕💙💚💙💕
What is trigender?
@@anglephrog2215 I have an educated guess: It may mean a person with 3 genders at once, due to the tri, which means three. Either that or the person mistyped transgender instead lol
@@hvbgthe hearts may be representing a flag since they’re in a pattern, so maybe they did mean trigender, and didn’t make a typo
"Trigender or triple gender is a polygender identity in which a person shifts between three genders" for example male, female, non-binary or other
@Topaz_Dutchie the hearts do match the flag mostly it's pink, purple, green, purple, pink. 🩷💜💚💜🩷
Yippee! I love how quick and snappy the video is, while still keeping that raw humour in there :))
you're defo gonna go places dude!
gah i wouldve needed this when i was younger lol, but not anymore haha
Aww that’s so nice 😭
Thank you!! Also, thank you for the CC, I have auditory processing disorder and accurate CC is so so so helpful
when i got my first binder, i would wear it all the time (i was in school). Even during gym, it's really not a good idea to wear binders if it hurts i know from experience 😖
but this tutorial is really amazing! i will definitely have to try it out someday, keep doing what your doing! Your amazing!!
I'm glad this showed up on my recommendations because I have been seriously considering getting a chest binder for myself :)
Making a binder out of a Hogwarts t shirt is funny in a way that satisfies my soul
if you have a lung infection, can I still wear a binder? 1:05
WHAT-
I wouldn’t recommend…! But idrk
No, binders and lung infections combined would create a possibly dangerous restriction of breathing.
No, dont, try to wear more comfortable and safe options like sports bras (trust me they work)
@@Dare_e_ ok tytyty :))
Great binder tutorial thank you for the new skill and I whole heartedly accept your terms and conditions
wonderful! safety always comes first :D
I don’t even want to wear a binder but their lovely and caring way makes me want to watch that video a lot of times 🥺
Thank you for this, I am going through a gender-identity crisis and I really appreciate this. Will definitely be using this!!
@@allyrose8884 aww, you're the first random person to not cuss at me when I vent about being transgender thank you
Hello, I'm a young genderfluid person and I understand this (not from direct experience, from a very close trans friend I have).
This is great! Im not in need of a binder (i already own one) but the algo needs a boost cause i would’ve needed this
1:31 Yes I agree, but I’ll probably forget
Thank you so much , as a trans boy who's wanted a binder for years I deeply appreciate you making this tutorial !! And I also have shared with a few friends
Was rlly happy when I saw this, thanks :D
*ps: thanks to all the people who are commenting and liking to boost this video!*
Watching this just so this vid can go popular and reach more people that need to watch it and make it and just so they can feel secure and feel good about themselves ❤and u r doing a wonderful job on this one
hand sewing this bad boy rn, wish me luck.
thank you so much for this!!! im a closeted transmasc genderqueer and my chest is the main reason for a lot of my dysphoria. i’ll update this comment whenever i’m left home alone long enough to be able to follow this tutorial without someone walking in on me lmao
sent this to my transmasc friend. he confirms.
I don't have the money for a proper binder and live in a really transphobic household so couldn't have one shipped to the house anyway, so this is really helpful. I'm bookmarking this vid rn. Thanks for this!
Also love how you made this with harry potter merch lmao
This video is amazing!!
Immediately i saw the title.... i saw an answer to my questions foe over 4 years
@@ellsnation22 I’m so glad you like it :D
My mom say i am "too young" to decide my gender or what i want to wear, yesterday she argued to me abt me liking "boy clothing"
We were in the shop to buy a outfit for me going to a 15 years party of a friend, and she was making me uncomfortable showing me too girly stuff that i dont like, she made me wear a dress and omg i got so uncomfortable i wanted to cry but hold up tears, and when i said "no, i cant see myself wearing this." She said "of coursr you can you are beautifull in it"
Later i told her she made me uncomfortable and shr started asking me with anger " SO WHAT YOU WANT TO WEAR? SAY ME, SAY ME? YOU WANNA DRESS AS A BOY??!!""
I have rights you know?
Thank youuu, this was the piece of motivation i needed to make a binder, thank you!!
Yay! Good luck making it :D

thanks so so much i love how its a little bit messy showing its ok if the binders not perfect bc i would be obsessing over every little detail XDD
THANK YOU!! I HAVE BAD GENDER DYSPHORIA AND THIS REALLY HELPS!
Thank you very much for this tutorial. I am a trans masc as well and am large breasted , so finding a binder that doesn’t cut into my skin has been hard to find.
I was crying when I made the promise
Why?
"But I wanna have flat chest ALL the time big bro"
Also "okay I understand your concern and I will do this"
question for trans people: is it okay if I (AFAB + cis) use a binder (safely), simply because I prefer the aesthetic of a flat chest? or is that harmful to the trans community or anything?
Trust me, anyone is allowed to use one
It’s absolutely okay! Binders are for everyone who wants one, regardless of identity 🩵

I'm going to go up to my mom asking for a binder like: "mom I promise its for a school project."
But holy cow, thank you so much for making this tutorial. Ive been needing a binder for years and my mom has been refusing to get one.
Hullo! So I was wondering, is there a size that's too big for binding? I really don't know much about it and was curious. Thanks!!
