Ok, we had soooooooo much trouble trying to get bell part to click with the mounting. But I think I may have an idea.... When we took the "seal" off the mounting, the two pieces came together like a charm!! So, my husband and I are thinking the "seal" is actually just packaging and not necessarily supposed to be part of the mounting process.... I'm no blink expert, so take what I say with grain of salt. But, it WORKED ! Wish y'all the best!
As for as "Wired or Wireless", the doorbell is only powered by the batteries. If you connect it to the existing doorbell wiring, you can get it to activate your existing house doorbell.otherwise, you only get a chime on your phone when the doorbell button is pushed.
Thank you so much for your help. I found no manual of any kind in the box and was close to tears, but, UA-cam, is always the place to check for anything. After reviewing all of the "Blink" videos, yours by far, is the absolute best. Thanks again!!!

It works perfect so far and integrates perfectly with my blink camera system. It also works seamlessly with Alexa

The camera box did not come with any usable instruction. But I do thank you for the instructions. This Texan could not figure out how to mount it without this video. Thank you much
Best install video hands down! You explained everything so thoroughly so I was able to do it as you did. I only got stuck on mounting the doorbell as I couldn’t get it to click in place but I figured it out. Thank you so much😊
Thanks for your video. I already installed on of these at our new house and needed to install on at ky mother’s house so needed a refresher. Thanks again this really helped
Thank you so much for this video. I got the doorbell and an outdoor camera off of amazon during prime day. I had no trouble setting up the doorbell today and Im gonna put up the outdoor cameral tomorrow.
@@chiquitawhitley7659 I followed the instructions and have it operating on my blink app and alexa. The video shows only on the blink app (so far). I'm still not sure why I need the sync module unless I have other blink devices. Definitely a learning curve...

I just bought the blink doorbell and two of the blink cameras for my husband for Christmas. Before I even start to mount the doorbell, do I absolutely need to have the sink module
Purchased one of these, should turn up today. I was wondering when I install the app, do I have to install the app and go through setup again each time when my mum and dad want to use blink camera and doorbell on their phone?
the small screws with kit went through the back plate holes and the wedge holes but then would not actually screw in. Any ideas?? its like they need to supply a longer screw???
Mine will literally not click into the back plate, no idea y but no matter wat I do it wont click in, just sits in place and u can easily pull it off the back plate
I was trying to dry fit the back onto the doorbell and could not get it to lock in place. I was ready to throw it against the wall and I realized hey customer support. I called them they had me take pictures of the doorbell and the plate and they are sending me a replacement back plate. They said the back plate could be defective and that it would be 2 to 3 days before I received it. My doorbell came with one indoor camera. So the reasoning for dry fitting the back plate. So I could set up the indoor camera. Just to mention you will have to buy the additional Module 2, that allows the system to connect to the internet through Wi-Fi, within it another $35, additional expense. I should have went to UA-cam before I started my setup. I purchased extra cameras while they were on sale through Prime Days $15 each. No something has happened to the module 2 it is not linking to the cloud I'm fixing to search UA-cam for help. Thank you for the heads up.
It’s the Sync Module important? I buy the video doorbell without the sync because I didn’t know I have to buy the Sync too 🤦🏻♀️ can I use it without the sync?
Thank you so much for this video. Zero instructions included in box. I’ve workedon this two days now. So I don’t want to do any subscription. Do I just put a thumb drive in the sync module box? Do I need to change any settings? Thanks again!

My door and surrounding is plastic. I also rent so putting holes in the door or sides, I don't think my landlord will be happy.
