Sir, I wanna thank you for showing me the hidden screw trick I was passed my second hour and could not figure it out and when I discovered hidden screw I thought this is really in poor taste as far as the manufacturer to their customer, but that was it Ive got it off. Not sure what the problem is but hidden screw trick horrible You were the only source online I found disassembly instructions thank you, sir thank you.
I am glad this was the second tip I reviewed. When I started to use it is was like a drained battery. I had not tried any repairs yet. And sure enough it was the brushes. Thank you for sharing this with us all.
Thnaks so much! I was having a fit trying to take it apart and couldn't because I didn't know about the hidden screw behind the label! But you do need to open it up if the safety switch is not working!
The metal impeller fan broke on mine so I got a replacement part and removed the 13 screws but no matter what I tried it wouldn't come apart.....THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for the location of screw #14.....I was close to prying the two halves apart until they broke apart and then using duct tape to hold together any broken bits, if they were vital. Thanks again!
I have this blower and it works great and I like how it sounds pretty pleasant. but I can't believe toro would be stupid enough to have the brushes towards the fan. They clearly did this so it messes up sooner so that way you have to buy a new one. Thank God I don't use the vacuum attachment which I don't have. I bet my neighbors black and decker bv1000 from the early 2000s will outlast this blower but the noise it makes is a high pitch whine which can be very annoying because it resonates badly and it has slightly less cfm than the toro. UPDATE: I just got a black and decker bv1000 and I'm selling the toro because I like the black and decker more despite the whiny sound and it has better motor than the toro.

I wish I'd have stumbled on this before my dad scrapped our Toro blower/vac. From what he said, the motor in ours gave up.
Mine is still working just fine! This repair made it better than new
