Mom grandma Great Grandma celebration of life Oct 23 - 24, 2016
September 24, 1924 - October 20, 2016
Peacefully, on October 20, 2016 at the age of 92, our dear mom, grandmother and great-grandmother passed from this life into her eternal home in heaven.
Mom was the firstborn of Klaas R and Justina Plett. She was born and raised in the Steinbach area, along with her 4 brothers and 3 sisters. She had a happy childhood and kept up a close relationship with her siblings and numerous cousins. After completing grade 8 in a one room school house, she attended a sewing class and always referred back to these lessons when sewing clothes for her 10 children and teaching us to sew. She accepted Jesus as her Saviour at an early age and was baptized upon the confession of her faith.
On September 17, 1944, she married Henry R Reimer. They started their married life in Blumenhoff, then moved to Mexico and finally settled on a grain farm near Riverton, Manitoba. Mom had a large garden to feed her family. She enjoyed raising chickens and helped Dad on the farm. Keeping nine daughters and one son working and getting along, was a full time job!
The farm was sold in 1994, just prior to Dad’s passing. After he passed, Mom moved to Appledale apartments in Mennville and enjoyed 20 years there. In February 2016, Mom suffered from 3 heart attacks. At that time, all her children gathered around her, expecting that she would not make it out of the hospital. However, she rallied and was released from the hospital a few days later. After that, family members stayed with her every night, until she was able to move to assisted living in Arborg, in May 2016, where she lived until her passing.
We remember mom for her unconditional love, optimistic outlook on life, her prayers for her family and concern that they all live their life for Jesus. Mom’s radiant joy and inner peace came from having learned to trust God through all circumstances. She enjoyed spending time with people from all walks of life and everyone she met, was touched by her sweet nature. She was a good sport about playing games such as Scrabble, Mexican Train or X and O’s and playdough with the younger kids. Mom loved to sew, knit and embroider. She made hand embroidered table cloths for all her children, many quilts for MCC, her family and other charities. She volunteered at Riverton Thrift Shop on Monday mornings for many years helping to sort and process a lot of goods. She made many close friends there. All the grandkids have warm hands or feet with her knitted mitts, socks and slippers. Mom’s motto was “Life is what you make it” and she has left a wonderful legacy of staying true to her faith and commitment to God.
Left to mourn her loss and keep up the faith, are her children; Mildred and Paul Harms, Klaas and Helen Reimer, Martha and Raymond Dueck, Norma and Jim Ray, Florence Reimer, Jessie Reimer, Anne and Vern Kroeker, Esther and Kelvin Plett, Shirley and David Cavanagh

Thank you for locating that hidden screw!
I got one day of use now it won’t work at all piece of crap 100 dollars for nothing it’s suppose to have no brushes.

The metal impeller fan broke on mine so I got a replacement part and removed the 13 screws but no matter what I tried it wouldn't come apart.....THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for the location of screw #14.....I was close to prying the two halves apart until they broke apart and then using duct tape to hold together any broken bits, if they were vital. Thanks again!
I'm glad I was able to help
Thank you for this
My pleasure!
Que bonito recuerdo❤
Glad you liked it
I wish I'd have stumbled on this before my dad scrapped our Toro blower/vac. From what he said, the motor in ours gave up.
Mine is still working just fine! This repair made it better than new
Thnaks so much! I was having a fit trying to take it apart and couldn't because I didn't know about the hidden screw behind the label! But you do need to open it up if the safety switch is not working!
Sir, I wanna thank you for showing me the hidden screw trick I was passed my second hour and could not figure it out and when I discovered hidden screw I thought this is really in poor taste as far as the manufacturer to their customer, but that was it Ive got it off. Not sure what the problem is but hidden screw trick horrible You were the only source online I found disassembly instructions thank you, sir thank you.
I'm so glad you didn't put that washer back in. Thanks.!
I have this blower and it works great and I like how it sounds pretty pleasant. but I can't believe toro would be stupid enough to have the brushes towards the fan. They clearly did this so it messes up sooner so that way you have to buy a new one. Thank God I don't use the vacuum attachment which I don't have. I bet my neighbors black and decker bv1000 from the early 2000s will outlast this blower but the noise it makes is a high pitch whine which can be very annoying because it resonates badly and it has slightly less cfm than the toro. UPDATE: I just got a black and decker bv1000 and I'm selling the toro because I like the black and decker more despite the whiny sound and it has better motor than the toro.
Thanks a mill. U saved me from a ton of unnecessary work
good stuff
He sounds so heartbroken, the poor guy ❤️
I'm glad this has been helpful
I am glad this was the second tip I reviewed. When I started to use it is was like a drained battery. I had not tried any repairs yet. And sure enough it was the brushes. Thank you for sharing this with us all.
THANK YOU for the hidden screw tip!!!!! I was stumped.
You forgot to put the washer back on. Thanks for the location of the hidden screw!
I noticed that also.
I forgot it on the video. Fixed it later
man you saved me with that stupid screw behind the label, I was trying for hours then you saved me !!! thanks
This is what I grew up with. My mother ( maiden name wilson) grew up in the church of God and Christ. I went to Bible School through the Mennonite teaching and learned my Bible primarily that way. Along with learning accapella style of singing getting me in to now being a barbershopper. I still remember as an outsider learning how to sing four part harmonies from the Mennonite hymnals.
That tip about the screw behind the Toro Label was GOLD! I was struggling with getting it apart for hours!! Thank you!
Thank you for the info about the screw behind the TORO label
Thanks bc i was about to smash this thing into pieces lol
I grew up Holdeman Mennonite as well and even tho there were good times such as this there was also pretty gnarly bad times...I am expelled but I hope and pray other members will see the light and come out of the church. Live by Faith...not by fear.
Zee was originally from California. Livingston congregation. Why u ask??
The Holdemans can be very nice people, but their church is a cult. Please watch the videos below: ua-cam.com/video/RbFrV4ga0t4/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/Lu6Tku6WgkE/v-deo.html

Who filmed this i thought they were too holy for this shit lmfao
stupid asses obviously it's not a holdeman Mennonite doing the recording
Drew Unruh How long has it been since you were a Mennonite?
Their man made rules have always had a ban on pictures or recordings, how do they not get shunned for this?
Apparently its ok if a nonmember films it
Marijuana Native you are probably right.
Bat$hit crazy! Just needs a banjo.
Stiritup you again... 😂😂 why you always hating ?😐
Grew up with your type best feature I have truth known
You guys need some serious singing lessons
they could use it. theyre ol man jeff isnt there to help which shatters it
@Kevin blaze that was a neighbor that recorded that without their knowing that it was recorded
huh uh, i was there, man. that was no neighbor. using uncles youtube
Ahem, thinking I speak for several others in saying , its time for some more video uploads. I know for a fact there are a few hundred of us that look periodically and specifically for this style of quartet singing.
I was raised a Holdeman. They are tolerant of others' consciences. Most likely a friend from outside the church came to visit. They wouldn't be in a hurry to criticize the person with the camera and would be happy to share their music. They'll sometimes pose for a photo if asked. Their reasoning is to not have images that could be idolized. So they probably wouldn't keep a copy of this for themselves. Another video on UA-cam shows a public tent meeting that someone has recorded.
have you all that make comments about them being recorded and being such sinners for being recorded considered the fact that MAYB an EXPELLED or non-member did the recording???? good grief..im not a member either but one thing i cant stand is ppl being so judgemental of them when you dont even have PROOF who did therecording!! get your facts before you judge, ppl! your no betr than them...
take everything with a grain of salt man
Define the term "Mennonite"
Get the book: Menno Moto. That explains a lot
Menno Simons was a Catholic priest who felt there were errors in the Catholic Church doctrine so he left and his followers are called Mennonites.
when I was a mennonite I could hardly use my cell phone, and I DIDN'T have internet.... sad sad. shame on them
@1Fiftysfan I probly know you lol
this made me cry when i saw it live
I iknow most of these fellas as I grew up @ Carrot River.... Awesome tunage guys.
I grew up around Church of God in Christ Mennonites....and I'm blessed for that being thats how I learned to sing and also gained my knowledge of the bible.....however I live out my faith differently, when we get to the gate, we will not be judged based on denomination, but based whether we have accepted Lord God as our savior and Lord of our life.
Herrlich! Danke! Macht nur weiter so!
