  • Sharing with you the reasons I no longer use NIOD skincare and the drugstore skincare dupes I have found to replace the NIOD products in my SKINCARE ROUTINE
Hey guys and welcome back to Mad About Skin where in todays video we are talking NIOD and the reasons why I no longer use NIOD skincare and some of the amazing drugstore skincare dupes I have found for their products.
NIOD has been one of my favourite skincare brands for the longest time, recently thought I have been moving away from the brand as a result of the price increases which Deciem has implemented on the NIOD skincare brands. These price increases mean I no longer think NIOD is worth the month and have been looking around for some affordable skincare dupes.
When it comes to skin care and my skin care routine, I never mind paying a little more in order to get a little more and this was always the case with NIOD. However recently with the increases in pricing I believe the products no longer have the value that they once did, which is why I have been looking for drugstore alternatives.
I would love to know what your thoughts are when it comes to NIOD and the products in their collection so please leave me a comment below.
If you enjoyed this video then please consider giving it a thumbs up and a like to let me know and to support the channel.

Wow! Such a great video, thank you so much Rob🙏 I have been using NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum and NIOD Fractionated Eye Contour Concentrate since last October and these two products changed my life. I'm 45 years old and my skin has never been flawless this much before. Especially the eye serum works like a miracle. The fine lines which have started clearly appearing around my eyes and also dark circles under my eyes went away. It is quite expensive and pushing my budget as well but they are worth every penny. Both products last me 6 months, which is enough for me to save up for the next purchase. I will definitely try the alternatives that you have suggested, but I could never give up these two🤗

I’ve tried duping and replacing NIOD but I always go back to it. It’s by far the most advanced skincare you can get at that price point and sometimes just worth the extra money. Saying that, I went through a CAIS 15ml in 2 weeks… I need to be more economical with it!

Agreed, it's an irreplaceable brand. I don't know any other brand that's this effective, whilst being suitable for sensitive skin.

I use thé Skin Biology Skin Signals serum. It’s much stronger and better than CAIS. it was formulated by the scientist who discovered copper peptides.
I did try CAIS when it first came out and ditched it to go back to Skin Signals. It’s in a spray bottle that makes it so easy to apply the serum as a first layer before the rest of your skincare.

It's just a matter of the right formula.
I would love to see your own version of Amino, Matrixyl, Argireline, Q10 and Seaweed.. I trust you Rob, you will figure something amazing, and we your viewers and subscribers will be here waiting to try it out!
    Stay Blessed and Beautiful Rob.

Hi! Great video! My quest to find dupes for favourite NIOD products has so far been unsuccessful. To replace the FECC I'm trying the Cosrx snail mucin eye cream, and instead of CAIS (my previous nr. 1 love) the Purito centella unscented serum. Both are utter disappointments. The Purito, though hydrating, does not give the same glow or bounce, and I feel like there is some loss of firmness also. However, I have high hopes for the Medik8 peptide serum, which sometimes I have seen at reduced prices. Looking forward to your upcoming video for CAIS dupes! :)

I am also sad about the price increasing so much. Definitely still using the FECC, the Re:pigment (I use as spot treatment with a Q-tip so it lasts me very long) and the Survival. Maybe in 10 years time I will go back to the Copper peptides serum, as it definitely is the best I´ve tried.
I am very looking forward you developing an alternative to the Survival 0.

Hi Rob the only Niod product I use and repurchase over and over is the Modulating glucosides. For me it's a bit of an all rounder - soothes redness, contains antioxidants (including pycnogenal) and is in a really hydrating formulation for my dry, rosacea and eczema prone skin. At around £25 it's on the lower end of Niod pricing and I haven't found anything that gives me everything this does, without paying more for two or three products. I do get a similar outcome from the cosrx cica serum, but truthfully the Niod has more beneficial ingredients for only a few pounds more. I think the MG is a very unusual product and there really isn't anything exactly like it. I have tried many many many calming/soothing products and there are many I have liked, but this is the one I repurchase. It's less expensive than the Paula's choice version (or around the same depending on offers) and I had a horrible reaction to the much hyped Stratia liquid gold I also tried as a replacement. I wasn't using the really expensive Niod products anyway eg copper peptides or FECC, so it wasn't such a massive (gulp) jump in pricing (from £21 to £25 for the MG). For the moment I will be repurchasing the MG, despite the price increase. Best wishes.

You’re on a a roll with the timely and relevant posts, Rob. I started trying out a few of their products and have liked the results so far from FECC and just started Survival 0 (love it!) last week. I’m very happy with FECC and have already rationalized keeping up with it. A bottle lasts a little over 4 months for me. That I can swing. Would like to try out CAIS at some point. Maybe if they do Slowvember this year.

Another dupe for the Niod PHOTOGRAPHY FLUID, OPACITY 12% is the Lily Lolo Mineral shimmer in Stardust. It is sold as a loose highlighter but I get the same result as the PF 12% when I dust it lightly all over or mix it in a moisturiser.
Also worth a try are the Finishing Powders in Flawless Silk and a Translucent Silk they give the same blurring effect as PF 12%.

Then came the price increase, and then the elimination of Hylamide.... and I was just done. I just can’t let my FECC go although I have decided that when I travel in July I am going to put the Cien one to the test day and night as traveling, balancing products on unfamiliar sinks, clumsy me and that fiddly bottle of FECC are a combination for an expensive disaster! I’m now interested in that FT eye cream. When I was staying in a hotel a few months back one of those horrible bathroom mirrors that are like 100x magnifying (ok but of an exaggeration) revealed some milia in the corner of my eye. I was horrified but I can’t see it in my own mirror so I don’t care lol! Seriously, might pick one up just for that reason. I believed it’s a big tube?

I bought the NIOD Fractionated Eye Contour about four months ago, I use it every single day, at first day and night and now just in the day, but I don't see any results. The reality is that I don't have dark circles or puffiness, I just want to improve the fine lines and the texture but so far, I don't see any difference at all using that product. So, I'm not going to repurchase it. At night I'm using now the Avène PhysioLift eye cream that has retinal and I think is better for my skin and the results I want.

I went through two bottles of CAIS and one bottle of their hyaluronic and now have gone back to the ordinary‘s buffet with copper peptides and their hyaluronic acid 2%. I didn’t see that much difference. I also use tretinoin and other chemical acids.

@@alexisreve1 Survival 0 in the AM + biossance omega moisturiser. And
Superoxide mist + 30% ethylated ascorbic acid + biossance omega moisturiser in the PM.
You could substitute the ethylated acid with re:pigment in the PM if you prefer, but for me, it was too strong for my skin to then use survival in the AM. It would irritate my skin. However my skin is hypersensitive. The routine I'm using now doesn't cause any irritation.

I also wear 100% mineral sunscreen in the day. I use drunk elephant spf 30. (Which has 20% zinc oxide, so it's pretty reliable).

Snog ready lips haa! Too cute! I am gonna tell my husband that is what my lips are feeling haa!! We are of the same mind on their products! my target area is my eyes because being as expressive as I am they go for the ride lol! They are also quick to show me when I have eaten too much salt or been naughty! Therefore I cannot give up the eye serum! I have found I really can make two drops go a lonnnngg way due to the texture and being able to put it right near my lids is game changing! As a SubQ fan girl i am going to see how my wallet can handle just the NIOD copper and survival but we will see!! Because I like to actually eat meals too haa! ( breaking the bank!) I want to try your products as well! Are they online only for now? Great job on making them!!! xx I am still stocking up on room spray too!!!

The only two NIOD products I am interested in are the Survival 0 and the SOD mist.
You did not mention the mask you loved too. 🤣
Great idea for the MAS brand. 👍🏻
The rest of NIOD is overpriced to milk skin geeks. The most ridiculously expansive one is this copper peptide cream. I mean...... Estée Lauder / Paula’s Choice / NIOD.
