    Hi Rob the 88p price of that moisturiser means Boots are discontinuing it - it was more when I bought it a few months ago. This is the sister brand to child's farm and hasn't quite been the success they had hoped. It is showing up in the likes of Home Bargains and is obviously being discontinued. This particular cream gave me a reaction on patch testing and my partner is using it as a hand cream btw. The Simple brand has some decent products, but they are hit and miss for me as to whether my skin reacts to them or not. I haven't tried the Primark skincare, but may have a look.
    I think it is important to find decent budget skincare for many people the cost of living is eating up any money they may have had to treat themselves - many families are encountering extreme poverty. Just as a tip Savers is always the best price for the Simple brand on an ongoing basis week to week. The spf shown from Simple is usually £6 so you got it on offer, but £6 is still a decent price point. I think Simple is much more expensive in the US than it is here (really unusual as we're always the ones that pay more for skincare).
    I have tried both the Garnier and the Simple misceller waters, as well as a variety of others. None of them are as gentle yet effective on eye makeup as the Bioderma, especially around my rosacea affected eyes. The Bioderma is always on sale somewhere and I always shop around for the best price. A 500ml bottle lasts me months and months for removing eye makeup, so when you factor in all of that it is worth it for ME. I really don't buy hardly anything over the £15 point except spf, but that's because my skin is so difficult to treat. Having skin conditions like rosacea and eczema causes real issues re sensitivity/irritation and so few things really work well for me. If more economical things work for me, then i'm more than happy to use them and save some money. Unfortunately buying several things that don't work, can be much more expensive then buying the thing you know works for you day in and day out. I've had to give away so many products to family and friends as my skin hated them, so I'm now buying a lot of tried and true favourites with the occasional foray into something new. Best wishes.

    When budget is really tight all I could be able to focus on is hydration and moisturization. Food or pharmaceutical grade glycerin and baby mineral oil is my go to. Any extra would go for retinoids. For sun protection, I'd use umbrellas.

    I have seen you mention Aldi and Lidl products in your videos and I would like to see you do a best and worse video. In the past I avoided super cheap products because I didn't think they could be made with quality ingredients and weren't safe.
    Now I know more about skincare and I don't mind buying basic cleansers or moisturizers from the likes of Lidl and Aldi. But the truth is I have been underwhelmed by their face products. I am not so picky when it comes to body products and actually found a nice body lotion with oatmeal in the baby aisle.

    I have never been a big fan of the Simple range back to the days when I thought you had to splash the cash to get results. BUT one product I do like is their Micellar Facial Gel Wash which is super hydrating and normally around the £5 price point but frequently available at various stores for £2.50. I find this perfect for a morning wash during the summer months which I tend to skip in the Winter.

    The e.l.f. bounce back jelly cleanser is also wonderful. I love using a non foaming, hydrating cleanser in the morning, or after double cleanser and although the Jelly Pop is my fav (Im obsessed with watermelon skin and hair care lol), the Bounce Back is amazingly hydrating and gentle.
    OH and not sure about over there, but it's the 60% off e.l.f. summer sale for Beauty Squad members of their web site! I ordered 26 products for $50! The cleansers are on sale, etc... I also got some make-up items I've had on my wish list forever for 60% off, so I am SMILING right now... I have to admit, I love deliveries! ❤️ Have a GREAT weekend!!

I'm loving the Keep the Balance toner, aloe spray toner and coconut water which I keep in the fridge for a quick spritz. I personally am okay with fragrance so long is not overkill. Love Simple as an easy go to brand. Thanks again ☺️ loved this video.

    I've been waiting for someone to talk about primark's skincare!!! I don't tend to use salicylic acid on my face (only spots I get are hormonal nowadays and salicylic acid unfortunately does zilch for them) but I get back + shoulder acne and spots in my ears (anyone else get those?) and I was looking for a cheap salicylic acid product to deal with them, so I picked up the PS... Salicylic Acid Serum when I was in primark one day and it worked so damn well to clear up my spots and helps deal with new ones sooo quickly! I was amazed! 2% salicylic acid plus willow bark (i.e. the "natural" alternative) for just £3.50!!! Absolute Bargain!!!

    For those in Australia New Zealand and it is available in other countries QV Face is an Australian brand for sensitive and dry skin, my dermatologist got me onto this brand and recommends for all skin types, great for supporting the skin when on retinol. Available at ever pharmacy and an example of pricing is $25 AUD for 500mls of cleanser.

      I'm literally thinking of making a UA-cam video myself lmao. But I'll probably post a huge ass comment for u guys later at night. I'll go over everything a skincare routine could have so we'll start with cleansing (I'll talk about cleansing bars, foaming cleansers and oil cleaners both with and without surfactants), then toners and serums (serums will take off the most part so I'll devide them into exfoliants, nianciamide, anti oxidants which technically includes nianciamide and humactants) and moisturizers and sunscreens.

    • @myselfme7945
      @myselfme7945 2 роки тому

      Most of the products will be from isana and balea (the brands are owned by rossmann and dm) and most of the sunscreens will be from nivea, garnier and also sun ozon and sun dance (the last two are also owned by rossmann and dm)

    • @katharina456
      @katharina456 2 роки тому

      @@myselfme7945True that - the drugstores’s own brands have really shaped up of late, especially Balea. And funniest thing: I’ll happily use all their body and hair care stuff but the face stuff… not so much. Maybe I’m a bit spoiled but often their products miss the mark, at least for me. Same goes for the sunscreens: will totally use the body spf from Sundance or the other brands but I really don’t like their face spf products. Though sunscreens is absolutely a category I can’t complain about here in the EU. 😜
      But please do a review and call out your faves!! 🙏🏻 I just quit my job with no plans what to do next so frugality here I come lol 😂
