What a perfect timing! The end of the week and the end of the winter. ❄️👋 ☀️🌳 Thank you, Coach, for a great video, it's always a pleasure to watch your soulful reviews.📽️🎞️
Love the attempt with the #2.5 with the left hand. I am naturally left handed and I can still say that the gripper feels weird in my left hand due to the way the springs are made. I can close my #2.5 in my right hand with ease now but can barely close the #2 in my left. So difficult.
Great comment! It took me at least a year for my left hand to stop hurting and getting used to the right handed springs. After 2020 or so it got stronger though. And my right hand got better at helping with the set up. Here's a clip from later in the year when I closed it with both hands ua-cam.com/video/w-_XBMu1FFc/v-deo.html
Nice job on that coc 3 I think you'll be able to close that 3 soon bro. I've been training with iron mind grippers since the early 90s best of luck with your training.
Appreciate it! Tried them in 2011 the first time but powerlifting consumed my time so I picked grip up in 2019 again. I hope I can close it soon indeed! Do you own any older brands from the 90s?
Oh sweet!! I heard about them from Mighty Joe's channel when he showed his enormous collection. Maybe one day I'll be able to own some Beef builders etc.
My lightest is the Sport and the heaviest is the 2 ..but I can only close the 1.5.. still training..I began a few months ago but i'm 54 allready..6.1ft and 260p..I see you have very strong fingers..pretty sure you'll close the 3.5 over time..(subbed)..Grtz..
Closing the 2 is definitely above average grip strength. And the 1.5 after just a few months is pretty good! Keep at it! I really don't know about the 3.5 lol but the #3 is a few millimeters from closing. Thanks for the support!
@@terryconjugateiron Yeah, I got the trainer in early October. Last night I lacked about a centimeter to close the 1. I'm guessing that this will improve my dead hang time by leaps and bounds.
@@Rhythmicons yeah it will. Crushing grip and/or open hand crushing grip exercises will help one another. Dead hangs will help with your grippers strength so it's a win/win
If you're referring to forearm muscle development I'd go 2-3 levels under your current max gripper and do these for sets of 5 and even 8 reps. I personally don't do these for reps because of my injuries. My right forearm gets jacked up and after a few weeks I can't go heavy. Be methodical when training with them they tend to tighten the flexors a lot.
You don't want to overtrain your hands and forearms, they include small muscles and you have to train smart regardless of your age. If you're only doing hand grippers I'd say 2-3 times per week is more than enough
Yeah he's a beast for sure. Have known him personally for years and he's a great dude. Huge guy too. I'd say around 6'4" and 350lbs haha... Monster. I haven't attempted it in months since I focused on my powerlifting all summer man. But if I'm rested I think I can get around 2-3mm before closing. It's one of my goals end of this year or early next year to close it for sure 💪
@@terryconjugateiron oh wow! Makes since how he reps big grippers like there toys lol thats gotta be cool personally knowing people in the grip world. I'm pretty new to grip so I haven't got the chance to meet any gripsters yet. I hope you get that #3 man I know you are well capable of it. I'm about to order the #2.5 next. Hopefully I can someday get that #3 with ya. Thanks for the reply wish you the best in all your endeavors brother!!!!
@@TheGripMuse yeah man his hands are stupid big lol.... I had the chance to meet him along with many other beasts since I trained in Iceland under WSM champion Magnús Ver Magnússon for 8 years. Grip is also very new to me man. Been training a total of 1.5 years. Powerlifting and strongman consume most of my time and energy so grip always comes second. I actually took a session off per week so I can focus on my grip more, at least for this year. Thanks for supporting! And best of luck to you too!
@@terryconjugateiron man thats so fucking awesome lol couldn't imagine how cool that was for you. Probably a great reason your so jacked and strong 💪. You definitely have a new follower. Appreciate your kindness.
@@TheGripMuse man I competed for Magnús 17 times holding 2 jobs and training people for years. I gave it all I had. Haha I can't speak for myself but I appreciate the kind words bro. This month I entered my 14th year training. I subbed to you as well. All the best!
Awesome review as always bro! That attempt with the 3 was so freakin' close!!!!
Means a lot to me coming from you bro. As an Armlifting Greece sponsored athlete I need to be at my best. Need to represent!
@@terryconjugateiron Very glad with your progress! Looking forward to watch you next big PR videos 💪💪

CoC makes lefty grippers now.
Loud screamy intro, loud screamy outro, very calm and relaxed video. Nice contrast. Thanks for the video. Greetings from Europe also.
Haha good observation! This clip is getting older but my videos are still calm and relaxed 🙄
We have to start a trend!!! To not alow setting the grip, with the help of your other hand!
-Just grap the gripper -and Go
Oof that's definitely a tough one. Are we talking about TNS? Table no set? I suck at it LOL. But I'll admit it'll make you work harder.
Great video!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!

@@bigfoot2477 those are some rare grippers man your lucky.
I'm about at that level after 6 months on and off training. Can click a #2.5 pretty reliably
That is very impressive! Keep it up 💪

I have the trainer and got the 1 yesterday. I have about a cm left on the 1 with the guide, sport and 1.5 on the way.
Did you just start training grippers? It can be quite addicting 👍
@@terryconjugateiron Yeah, I got the trainer in early October. Last night I lacked about a centimeter to close the 1. I'm guessing that this will improve my dead hang time by leaps and bounds.

So close great video. Do you oil all your grippers when new 👍👍
Thank you, yeah that was too close! I oil the ones that squeak, otherwise I don't. Probably should though 🧐
Do you reccomend using the grippers before or after a training session? Or do you train with the gripper on its own separately?
I train grip separately. That's why you see me using straps when I deadlift etc. I want my hands to be fresh. I like to do 1-2 grip sessions per week
Nice but I'd have loved to see it without precluding abit. I know it don't effect much but still more entertaining to see
Hi! Precluding meaning without helping with the other hand? I had to look up what the word means 😅
How do you use these for hypertrophy?
If you're referring to forearm muscle development I'd go 2-3 levels under your current max gripper and do these for sets of 5 and even 8 reps. Hi, I am 14 years old and I can do 20 reps of 100lb. Do u think that is good for my age?
Hi, yes I think it's very good for 15 years old. Starting young is great for early gains but you should also be careful with doing too much
@@terryconjugateiron ok thanks for the advise, and also what happens when u do too much?
