The manticore sweep is REAL The glowup of the century I still wonder how swapping smgs would do for peacekeepers since it reloads smgs pretty quickly when stowed. If you managed to get double cascade point smgs it might genuinely put out
I Love how the Yarovit MG4 SMG with Rewind Rounds and Deconstruct is not brung up since you can spit tons of rounds without reloading it must be an myth to some and I confirm that i do have that role with max mag size too.
@Menderino what u smoking? The dude randomly responded with u can get the gun from dares. Which no one asked hence why I responded with "?" Because it seamed a bit random to state that when no one asked for it. No one said anything about negative comments.
@ as long as you’re getting consistent hits and not missing you can shoot like 90-120 shots, void loader makes it even better I don’t really ever have a problem with it
Ppl often forget Peacekeepers have an auto loading feature, and it’s faster than the perk. If you use an area denial frame, once you run out of ammo on the dmg, switch to the GL, shot a single volley, then your SMG will be reloaded
@@TheManOfTheHourEveryHourwhat are you on about? Did that sound a lot smarter in your head? Using a primary to do damage is the opposite of what you've said, absolute burger
Been enjoying the multimach that Banshee gave with Attrition Kinetic. Now if I can just get a Noxious with Attrition Jolting, I can sit back and farm the GM this week.
Peacekeepers isnt a time based buff it'll leave whenever you reload, so really whatever weapons can reload the fastest AND have the largest mag will get the best boost. Its a sustain damage primary exotic now, so it's ideal pair for bursts is Manticore and for true sustaiN Tarrabah. All around best is probably just whatever SMG you can use rewind rounds + Target Lock with.
I think you missed the point of my comment before. I was referring to how fast high rpm smgs get to 20 stacks in comparison to lower rate of fire smgs obtain their stacks. I’m not talking perks: only archetypes.
Not really. It takes too long to proc the poison. The dps you add is not really worth the time to switch off your special or heavy unless you are trying to get bait and switch going. Also "this gun has the highest dps if you dont use it and pull out something better" really defeats the point of these tests.
Manticore becoming one of my favorite Exotics was NOT on my Destiny bingo card this year. This was such an insane, amazing change that Bungie made. Titans feel like they have so many more builds this season than just a few months ago, it's wild.
CANT believe you didn't test the Yarovit MG4! Its a current world drop stasis smg with deconstruct and rewind rounds. You almost never have to reload with it. Under rated asf.
I'm still convinced stuff with enhanced adaptive munitions melt barriers faster than something with under over (the latter is good just because it's on fast firing weapons which require you to be dangerously close)
I’ve been using double smg for fun with banshees multimach and the new arc smg with attrition/jolting and actually was surprised with how feasible it is. Swapping back-and-forth to rock kinetic tremors and Jolt over and over again was putting up some big damage.
I think huck works best when you are just laying down on ads because of the refill which means you can keep the 20 stacks for longer, in something like onslaught it would go nuts
Wish we could get a rewind round + deconstruct smg in there (Parabellum or Yarovit). No damage perk, but it'll show the effects of reloading on dps (or not having to reload) compared to the other legendaries. Pretty sure that's also why Manticore's beat out Tarrabah. Tarrabah had to reload 3 times, where Manticore only had to reload once.
@@Resentful_Wolfit’s especially nice on parabellum since it has field tested to make the gun feel smooth as butter to use. And the amount of bullets you can put out with rewind deconstruct makes it super easy to get to x5 field tested and have 100 reload at all times
Surprised he didn’t try Yarovit MG4 with rewind rounds and either surrounded or deconstruct. That is easily the highest damage dealing smg with peacekeepers
It's not I've done dps testing with almost ever smg in the game (smg lover) and it actually isn't very good compared to other legendary let alone exotics even with nam loading
And no one mentioned to add Volatile rounds for VOID Manticore (Controlled demolition or void grenade kill). Something like ~50k plus damage easy. Monticore is real beast here.
Cross not sure if you read comments but you forgot more SMG is arguably the best legendary smg in the game. Yarovit MG4 with Rewind Rounds and Deconstruct combo. You never have to reload. But is a random drop which is extremely rare to get the god roll.
People seriously underestimate how good manticore is now with peacekeepers. Especially for bosses. Although Huckleberry is probably the better choice for add clear. That thing cooks in onslaught.
Man.... Maven did the testing with these boots when the change happened and she said "if you're using manticore, you're trollin". Did something happen? Was she wrong? Was she trying to keep it a secret so it doesn't catch a nerf? The interwebs may never know...
I tried to tell her. It's good to get second opinions with this stuff and do a bit of testing yourself. The dmg resist is what sets this apart from the others regardless even with dmg being close.
She was absolutely wrong. My guess is maybe she doesnt have the catalyst completed, so she didnt see the full synergy? But even if thats not true, it seems like she just assumes its a shit exotic and didnt even consider it, which sucks. I usually like her stuff but that really threw me off since she took such a hard stance and clearly didnt test it herself even once
She was completely off the mark on this one. I also mentioned that Manticore is damn powerful but she didn't try it properly. Not to mention the damage resist and enemies missing shots, it's so damn powerful now.
The over-shield allows you to proc offensive bull work as well which you can then use to get volatile Rounds and melee damage increase. You can then throw your shield in the air to get your over shield back of it goes off but the volatile rounds are super nice for healing/extra damage. Healing with controlled demolition
You missed the best weapon to use for dps, parabellum with franzy and permiability, proc unraveling with peacekeepers. i did my own dmg testing, its nuts
Best damage is swapping between Manticore and Cascade Point Cold Front. That way instead of reloading and losing damage stacks you keep dealing big damage at 1000 rpm, then come back to fully loaded Manticore at 20 stacks.
Pretty sure subjunctive with voltshot and threat detector would lead legendarys due to origin trait. Max nano munitions gets you an extra 40ish(?) bullets past your magazine
no surges, but triple loaders? how many times was tarrabah reloaded over the 0 of osteo? i appreciate the analysis regardless! i may stick to osteo for simplicity and manticore with void burn/surges
It seems like everybody's forgetting that old perk these boots have. They reload stowed smg's real quick. So maybe the best strategy is to combo to SMGs so you don't stop shooting. My tip is to use two SMGs with Cascade point
Hey Cross! Something else too test (thought its less useful) is legendary + legendary and legendary + exotic smg swapping. Peacekeepers instantly reloads them while stowed and grants additional handling, which together is enough to maintain it while swapping between two smgs. You could do manticore with a legendary smg when it makes you reload, and it would keep all the stacks
The biggest one I think you're missing is para bellum with rewind rounds and deconstruct. Cause you'll basically never reload. I think you might be able to get the same roll on yarovit too, but I'm not sure. But the parabellum is going to in theory function exactly like the manticore but without having to float
Thankfully I use primaries for add killing and not boss damage lol. Killing adds is where you would find any use for SMGs and imo the origin trait of Noxious is one of the best we’ve had for add clear as it reloads, overflows (all your equipped revenant weapons reload btw not just the one brought out), and does a small bit of AoE that I believe counts as weapon damage and should add to the hits required of Attrition and Jolting (by like 1 hit to be fair). If it wasnt for that origin trait most of these revenant weapons would be dismantled. Well personally as low reload can make me dislike a weapon.
Its criminal that he didnt try any of the ones with rewind rounds 😔 Ik he said he only wanted to test a few but something i kinda wanna see is the parabellun + stasis smg both with rewind rounds, cause if you swap back and forth you dont lose the x20 buff
@aztecross just fyi, support frame boost is a 10% damage boost when it gets applied to you. Someone was proccing it on you during the multimach testing skewing the test.
I’m like 176/200 for the calibration part on manticore so I missed out on the full AC-130 vibe in Fotl but it genuinely rocks with PK and the triple or double surge too👌🏻
For encounters like warpriest, risk runner is funny enough my go to for damage (after i run out of heavy on something like thunderlord or grand overture) because of the sustained arc damage. It puts out in longer encounters
voltshot and jolting feedback are crowd control perks, same as riskrunner, just remember, just because they don't outperform other smg in single target damage doesn't mean they are bad, they just have a different purpose. 🙂
Some use them for their anti-champ capabilities more than for crowd control. Being able to just shoot a champ with a gun, not needing any buffs/debuffs/artifact mods and being able to stun overloads is huge
But did you test overflow bait and switch on submission? Remember it's craftable and paired with weapons like parasite it would be great for burst damage situations
Should have did Subjunctive. That thing can hold so many rounds with the origin trait so it can maintain the damage boost longer, though it does not have many great damage perks other than golden tricorn
I think the problem with this testing is, its all done with peacekeepers. Of course every smg with a larger mag size will win since it works similar to lucky pants.
I like tarrabah for empyrean on solar. Almost the same dps as manticore but great healing as well. Also, i dont like the awkward gameplay loop with manticore. Jumping up in the air for damage is silly.
Is there anyway to preserve both ravenous and the peacekeepers buff on reload? Can you buff reload enough with mods and skills? Can you holster reload and still have peacekeeper buff?
Damage testing is the most magical part of the year.
Isn't it though? 99% of the time I'm disappointed but it's still really nice content to watch
I laughed too hard at “it’s no longer apples to apples, it’s apples to dick” 😂😂
riskrunner needs to have jolting feedback added to it, it would fit so well
Agreed it be fun
This would slap
I'd use Riskrunner a LOT more if it ever got that.
That would be good on anarchy to
Would it even be noticable? The perk already jolts
