You saved me a very unnecessary expense of having to go out and buy it all over again. Thank you sir! And by the way, my paper instructions that came with the product says to program with 5 to 8 digits. But when I set mine up, I only did it with four, and I found them out thanks to you!

Good stuff man. After a lot of tries I got it lol. It took me a little to understand what you were trying to say about the negative resistance, but once I figured that out I got the numbers, tried a diff couple combinations and got it opened 🙏
I like your video the only problem is that you didn’t tell me how to set the new combo, but that is what I need to do. My lock is brand new but no instructions how to set the combo. This is the closest I got to get any answers. Thank you in advance.
On any of these types of locks that have been in service, being exposed to the elements, I've found that working in a little WD40 helps. It really helps free things up and give you the feel you need to decode.
Spraying with WD40 solved it for me! I was struggling to feel anything on the buttons, but after doused it in lubricant and waited a few minutes, I was quickly able to feel the combo
doesn't work on mine, 6 keys can feel upward. 1 min later, I really got what you said about negative resistance. the first number I got is "4", I felt and try to learn from the feeling from pressing "4" too many times then I got the feeling. the rest is easy. "1400", voila~ you are the man!!!!!!
Hi BN-DIY, Thanks for your informative video. I have the same lockbox mounted on a wall in a house for which I am caretaker. The owners didn't even know it was there, so don't know the combination. I tried your process to figure out the combination. I found that pressing each of the number buttons caused pressure/resistance on the latch button. Am I pressing the buttons too hard? I did try "all buttons" as the combination and it did not open. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you
I’ve followed the instructions carefully and it doesn’t work for me. I feel zero difference when I press on the correct combo buttons. I believe it works for that model but possibly not every Kidde lockbox. Mine is white, not gray, in case that matters, so it could be particular to a certain model. I’m still going to look for a more secure box though because sooner or later there will be a video on how to unlock the one I have.
Mine is also white. It took me maybe 3-4 minutes. I could figure out 3 of 4 numbers using this method and then I just tried out the remaining 7 numbers.
@@michael931 yeah, I just found 3 and tried the others. Thankfully you can’t use each number more than once. The right amount of tension on the slide lever helps to feel the slide move when pressing the buttons
I just can’t seem to open mine. I can feel something on 7 numbers and nothing on the other 3. I guess I could just crowbar it off but I’m reluctant to as it’s likely to pull a chunk of wall out with it.
Really frustrated, cannot figure it out. Mine is in a really awkward place and that makes it even harder. So the order doesn't matter, which are the correct buttons? The ones that don't press all the way down, the ones that resist a bit but will go down all the way or the ones that go down without any effort?
When I have the Open slide button pushed down, no matter how hard I push the number buttons with a pen, I can't get them to press down. I sprayed with a lubricant spray. Any other suggestions?

Once you have 4 numbers, there are 256 possible combinations. That really could take a while...
No, they don’t have to be in any order. You just press the 4 numbers and it opens.
The number of combinations - order does not matter and repetitions are not allowed - is 10x9x8x7 / 4x3x2x1 = 210
