How to crack a combination lock for key safe, this method should work for suit cases as well

- In this video I will show how to crack open a combination lock. This method should work for most lock used in key safes and suit cases.
Some earlier combination locks used to have a line that you can see through the gaps. If you can see the line then all you have to do is line up all the lines and you won't need the paper and pencil.
Literally 3 years having this lock bc my little brother forgot the combination, until I accidentally landed this video , first try , opened , god bless this gentle soul.
You can find this information in any library since the 1960s. Try reading a book and not relying on censored youtube and google results.

Omg I watched three other lock picking videos before this, and yours was the one which helped me the most. Understanding how there's a flat surface on a barrel and how the combination numbers afterwards needed to be facing the inside of the lockbox. Thank you! You just saved me having to angle grind my lockbox off a wall!!!

Congratulations and thank you. A guest left my Short Term Rental house and somehow managed to lock the Keysafe with a random number. After looking at your methodical and very well presented clip, I tried it and bingo! Saved me on the angle grinder technique and the expense & inconvenience of purchasing another one! Cheers 😊

Hell yes! Had to open two locks and could not find a shim. Tried a needle but no luck. One search, found this video and boom! 5 min later both locks are open and removed. Thanks for saving me from having to test 20000 combinations 🙏🏼
Having tried the shim method without success I tried this and got the lock open in minutes. Make sure you mark the paper with a good pencil line so the flat part of the rod is then obvious when the paper goes in deeper and the line disappears. Do this with each of the four rows then rotate each through 180 degrees and hey presto! Thank you Ken Kanfix for such a lucid guide!

Wow. It actually worked. I'm literally in shock. I was even thinking yesterday that while using the shim method, that you can tell the levels of the dials are higher and lower then eachother. I was thinking of a way of how to get them at the same level to. But I didn't even think of this. What's great about this, is when you make your line, make it prominent. As you turn the dials, the dip of the line will obviously match it, or disappear. That's how you'll know you're doing it right.
Worked a treat. Just had to forward each wheel by 5 digits and hey presto! Thanks for this no nonsense video.

I tried to use my key safe yesterday and it wouldn't work so I thought I had forgotten the combination and your video really helped me to work out that it wasn't my memory LoL - it turned out that some water had gotten into the mechanism over the winter so I cleaned it all out and lubricated it.
I did try working out the combination and I was really scratching my head until I thought about looking on youTube. I found you very helpful video and 5 minutes later I had it all sorted so thank you very much for a great instructional video.

Can't thank you enough for this Ken. Just bought a house with one of these same key safes on the wall, previous owners had no idea of the code. It was seriously annoying! 90 seconds with a piece of plastic cut from a box of grapes and it was open. The 'spin for 5 digits' technique worked. Fantastic.

This is the best tutorial that I've tried and could successfully crack the codes for the brand new lockboxes which my husband had forgotten 13yrs ago. I've seen and tried the other aluminum pin ones , didn't work and so hard to sense the click point. This method is far better and simple. Thanks for sharing!

I see lots of people thanking you for helping them open their key boxes, but in doing so you have rendered all these boxes obsolete. Anyone can now open this type of box and burgle the houses. So well done for that.

I have seen a lot of elderly people around our way, who have these on their outside wall, including my parents. These spell alarm bells for me, and what's more is a friend they apparently know suggested it. My parents can't see letters clearly & had a great big print of the word GAS in their kitchen, so how would they ever see these numbers. More to the point, my father said he didn't know how to use this box thing! Both my parents are well over 80 years old, and I'm now extremely worried about their safety.
The box has nothing to do with there safety. There will always be criminals they are not looking for these boxes. You shouldn't watch these if your mind is so corruot
I bought one of these (diferent make, but same 4 digit combination lock).
After doing the 1st part and almost skiped the video, but some how I decided to read the comments and that made me finish the video / tutorial.
And voilá!!!!! It was like magic... it opened after I turn the digits 5 times like it's said on the video.
This is the one guys! Don't waist your time on other videos. Just watch all the video and you will get it on 1st try.

I have just bought a large, heavy, safe for my valuables. Although the combination dial is not working, I plan to try and fix it after watching another video explaining how to do that, hopefully. Thank you for posting this video. I couldn't get into my key safe box. I thought I knew the code, but didn't seem to work, so assumed I must have changed it. Trying this method confirmed what the code was. It was in fact what I thought it was, and turned out the rocker switch to open it had got stiff and stuck. With a bit of force it did then open.
YES!!!! I'm not going to say what I really said when my lock opened but this crap worked!!!!! I almost passed out when I saw what my combo was. I never would have remembered it. At first I thought it wasn't going to work then I heard you say turn it 5 times. I had to turn mine 5 times. This is a life saver. Now I'm about to try the other one that I threw to the side and bought another one. If this works on this one I'll have TWO. I can't say Thank You enough.
Update: I couldn't get the other open😔 but 1 out of 2 is good enough for me. I'll keep working

Thanks a lot man, took me around 3 minutes to get mine open. I used a thin sheet of aluminium from a coke can, that worked really well.
A feeler gauge should work a lot better than the paper... Gonna try this!

Absolute bloody legend. Dude I work with accidentally reset the key lock box for the air bnb we're staying at, so been contemplating fixing this issue before the house goes back to the owner. Now I'm deliberating whether I tell the other guys or not.

Brilliant Job. This is an excellent video with clear instructions and reasons given for why this part of the instruction is being completed. We had a lock in a communal area on a cupboard where the code had been changed and no one knew the new code. Using your video I managed to find the number and get the key from the box in five minutes. Thank you for posting this video.😄😄😄
I'm just going to have to buy a new bike lock I've tried multiple different methods including holding it up to my ear and listening for the clicks to sound different pulling on the lock to see if the tension for a different number changes anything and it seems like this is just a really well put together bike lock all of the digits move slightly when you try and pull on it making it impossible to tell if there's any extra give when it's on a certain digit so good job Schwinn
got this to work, just had one dial where it could've been one or the other so had to use the other. also, the one i had was a lot tighter than this so i had to use a sticky note. thanks!

I have only *Ever* used a sliver of spring steel or something at least metallic but this truly affective!
As long as the strip of thin card / plastic fits without buckling, it will work. Once the Flats have been found on the *Front* numbers, 5 turns on each cylinder, with the dial rotating *Downwards* will find and open the lock. Many thanks for this!
Totally saved my life after I accidentally closed my key lockbox before I was finished setting the code. Thank you so much. I tried several other instructions that didn’t work at all, this took me 2 tries and under 10 mins.
Although, this does make me wonder why we even bother using them, when they’re so easily defeated by paper scraps and a pencil. Lol.

I bought one of these forgotten combination key safes at a yard sale for a buck.
I tried 700 or so possible combinations out of 10,000 before I gave up; very sore fingers.
I will try your method as soon as I remember where I put the key safe.

The only tool I used instead of paper is Coca-Cola can . I cut the strip from the can the same size as showed on the video and it brings me to find a gap quicker then the paper 😉
