Joel The absolute best skin moisturizer, 100% organic grass-fed beef tallow. It absorbs right into your skin for moisturizing almost instantly, we're talking 5 to 10 minutes. If you've got really bad chapped lips that are already bad, apply the tallow in liquid form (microwave for a few seconds, it's firm room temperature) in less than 10 minutes your lips will be soft and supple, like it never happened. I use it as my pre-shave oil, and also a hair oil conditioner. I'm the type of guy that hates to feel greasy, I won't even let the massage therapist use massage cream on me, Tallow absorbs into your skin in 10 minutes and you will not feel greasy. And the best part is it's all natural no chemicals
I was curious so I looked it up. They switched the "J" to a "K" so that consumers wouldn't think they were affiliatted with another UK chain, TJ Hughes.
Naturally restrooms in stores have been studied by experts time upon time. If a store has a modern, neat, and clean restroom, people are not as apt to leave and not come back and buy stuff. If you can have a "mid shopping wee", you will be more at leisure, not rushed to checkout, and spend more time buying things. You can imagine how a family with three kids (with dad 5 in all) can hardly have a long shopping experience without such amenities.
Whenever I want a designer purse, without designer money, I go to TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Burlington, or Ross. They sell designer purses for cheaper prices. They might still be a little pricey, but still cheaper.
Just to mention, at the end of the video, Joel said that the weather was blizzard like. No, that is not blizzard like weather. Blizzard like weather is when it's snowing so hard that it's difficult to see in front of you, and the snow accumulates rapidly, right in front of your eyes.
Brits rarely run into a snowy situation; to them this was a blizzard. 🤣 My friend who used to live in Florida, he said that one year when it snowed about 1/4 of an inch in Florida, people were freaking out like it was the end of the world. Meanwhile, I spent 4 years in the mountains of upstate NY as a child and we'd have 4-6 foot tall snowdrifts to dig tunnels through and have the time of our lives. 😁
Depends which one you go to. I had a gift card and found a short I liked on the website. When I got to the store there was no order at all. ALL of the shirts and jackets were just all on one long rack. You just had to flip through every shirt. I never did find it. The place was a bit messy too in some areas.
Just went into my first TJ Maxx last week. It’s one click above a dollar / thrift store and it’s mostly unwanted and heavily discounted massed-produced junk. Was not impressed.
The ones by me are trash. This one looks amazing compared to ours. Mine looks like an empty thrift store. Last time I went there were only 5 racks of women's clothes and the rest of the store was literally empty.

Find said wife to hear. "I'll still be a few minutes dear"..I wander out again into the wilderness
If you want to find more mens items. Go to a Marshall's. They carry more mens items plus Men's shoes as well. Also, not all associates will have you take your own basket back.
In some US locations they aren’t supposed to leave the registers to run things back and leave the registers unmanned. It’s really up to the local store manager.
I still think this is just a lazy person working. There should be an area to collect the baskets and then someone takes them where they go when they have time.
I don't know why, but I love this video of you two basically vlogging back and forth whilst in different sections. Also, I think that cashier was just lazy. Ive never been expected to put the basket back myself.
American stores want you to stay for as long as possible. They want you to stay for several hours if possible. One way to do it is to provide bathrooms in the back.
It is odd that the clerk actually asked you to put the basket back, but I always do anyway. I figure that I'm already walking back to the door & that makes more clerks available for help on the floor or at checkout. But I'm also one to bring a cart from the parking to when I start my shopping & only take one out with if I have way too much to carry.
At some stores, they have people who will come around and collect the baskets. There should at least be a basket “collection stand” near the counter. 🤷♀️
For info, we do have restrooms in some UK shops, usually the bigger department stores and supermarkets. We also have public restrooms everywhere. When shopping, people often call into coffee shops/cafes where there are facilities too. 🙂☕️
Guys, I'm so glad you found some good bargains but next time you shop don't be afraid to ask for help if you're looking for something specific. That's what the clerks are there for. They might even have what you're looking for in the back.

I can't believe in the whole UK there isn't a version of Goo-Gone. I love it it not only works great for removing sticky residue from stickers but if I have made Jelly/Jam and I spill some of it on the floor by accident and forget about it's great for get up the sticky part of it first before I get a hot wet rag to finish the cleaning. I hope you got some Lia.
I use it to remove stubborn labels from fancy jars to re-use them. You can boil them, or something, but it never seems to work. Goo gone is probably pretty toxic tho
taking baskets back is a TJ Max thing. We shop at their suburban stores and they have shopping carts (trolleys to you guys), and you def put them back by the door on your way out. Actually helps if you buy home goods or a big Christmas shop as we do.
When you think about it, TJ MAXX is just another outlet store like MARSHALLS and ROSS. These chain stores received merchandise that could not be sold at retail stores. The merchandise is sold very cheaply in bulk and the savings are passed onto the customers.

my daughter got me a rolling carry on suitcase and a backpack purse that goes onto the handle of the suitcase at TJ Max, they are so nice, expensive brand but inexpensive.
At the beginning its funny because Tk max is actually the English version of Tj max, which is the original. Tj max expanded to England in 1994 after being 2 decades in the US prior.
TJMaxx/HomeGoods/Marshall’s are my favorite store and this was a great video! I’d love to see you both visit HomeGoods! Also, you really need to come to Minnesota and visit Mall of America; have brunch and/or afternoon tea at the historic Saint Paul Hotel (stay there at least one night if possible); visit Paisley Park (Prince’s home and studio); and visit Duluth on the shore of Lake Superior. There are amazing restaurants and a lot to do and see so you should come check it out!
TJ Maxx changed its name to TK Maxx in the UK because they didn't want their store to be confused with another established retail chain called TJ HUGHES.
6:50, She more than likely was interested in hearing about that😂. Americans are curious by nature. When you decided to just say " yeah" and not elaborating, she may have been confused like " I guess he doesn't want to tell me why", lol.
We have TJ Maxx here (Colorado) but I don’t go too often. It just seems like I don’t have luck there but it’s a nice store. Goo Gone is good stuff. It takes those awful stickers off but you usually have to wash the residue off but that’s ok cause it works! Loved the door knobs. They shouldn’t have made you take the basket back but that was nice of you Joel. Enjoyed this one. Loved that sweater outfit…wish you had gotten that one…it would have looked really good on you Lia.
Funny you mentioned the sticker issue because I love TJMAXX but I complain every time I buy a gift there and I can't get those price stickers off. Hi from Worcester, NY.
Love to see you point out the fun differences...A lot of items are "chained" down for obvious reasons.; Joel: yes the undies are a good choice. Heard things about you, mate! ;-)
I think you must have been in an upscale one because I have never seen Coach in any I have been to! It looked well-merchandised too! sometimes its a hot mess in there! Yet good bargans! Its hit or miss like in the UK as well!
You two should try to locate the local Factory Discount stores location. It is direct label Name Brand stores with mark downs and in some cases Barely noticeable flaws that mean nothing to most people outside of those who always shop high end goods!!! But it is also a great place to get scents at less than the regular brand store would charge. So like his search for Abercrombie scents for instance!! 😉❤✌
Hiya Joel and Lia, In Whitehaven we haven't got a TK Maxx, it's a shame, the High Street in Whitehaven is full of Charity Shops, the only clothes shop is New Look, Primark is in Carlisle but its not a very big one, This Is Choppy In Whitehaven, Cumbria, England
Joel, you're in the US. Small talk about the differences in bathrooms is a treat for most of us. Most Americans love our small talk. Don't be embarrassed. You might be smelling a cologne other than Abercrombie. Bath and Body Works has been copying them with Teakwood way cheaper and just as nice.
@@hulahickey6959 I often don't even wear the fragrance. I just have a wallflower or candle of the scent and making my room smell like that makes my clothes take on the scent.
Every store in the US will have a restroom …..If your in the ny nj area go check out Burlington coat factory …. Thanks again for another great vlog … Best wishes to you both safe travels
Marshall's (a related chain) or Burlington would have been more illuminating, because it's actual remainders. The cultural divide of customers (but also the discounts) being even bigger.
I get my workout hats at Marshalls because you can get dri-fit caps for like $8 there (as opposed to $50) and they usually only last me like 3 months. Last time I was in there I saw them selling pretty highend kayaks for only $250 so I bought two to have as spares for when friends want to come along with my wife and I.
I love how Joel is more of a spender and Lia Is usually the saver, it reminds me of me and my best friend too. Whenever we’re together she always loves to pay for everything and even though I always offer to help pay for lunch or anything, she always wants to do it for me. Sometimes I really have to insist on paying before she’ll let me, it’s kind of annoying sometimes but that’s OK. 🙄😂 Also I wonder why it’s called TJ Maxx in the US but TK Maxx in the UK, they seem pretty similar for the most part; besides the fact that I guess there’s some different brands over here that you wouldn’t find in the UK. 🤔❇️☺️❤️

It is direct label Name Brand stores with mark downs and in some cases Barely noticeable flaws that mean nothing to most people outside of those who always shop high end goods!!! But it is also a great place to get scents at less than the regular brand store would charge. So like his search for Abercrombie scents for instance!! 😉❤✌
The Michael kors shade 🤣🤣🤣
What state are you in? Hope on a plane and come to Phoenix. It's shorts and tee shirt weather. Enjoyed the Vlog
I’m here with my Prosecco!
Wooo! Enjoy!
Joel is a smart shopper. Lia will regret not getting more. TH Maxx does have some good bargains.
I love the Teakwood scent
@@hulahickey6959 I often don't even wear the fragrance. I just have a wallflower or candle of the scent and making my room smell like that makes my clothes take on the scent.
Every store in the US will have a restroom …..If your in the ny nj area go check out Burlington coat factory …. Thanks again for another great vlog … Best wishes to you both safe travels
Joel, I'll have to smell Abercrombie and Finch cologne
TJ always has something good!
I love TJ Maxx. I've found many great deals there.
Yeah, I also buy my socks and underwear at places like TJ Maxx
TJ Maxx, where $2.95 Goodwill Store purchases are born.
TJ Maxx has two other brands and they have no men’s shoes at TJ Maxx itself. Most of them go to Sierra Trading Post and a few to Marshall’s
Goo Gone is the bomb!
Not a bad place to go look for some deals.
Every once in a while you need a lost marbles day!
Why did you go to Philadelphia during the winter season 🤣
I hate shopping. Yet I have no idea why I love watching you two shop. F'n weird...
If you want lower prices, go to Marshalls which is part of the TJ Max family of stores.
