Glad to see a newcomer to the world of osrs :) if you need help with anything ask around! The community(for the most part) is super newcomer friendly also don’t be afraid to ask us in the comment section. There’s probably a vet or two :)
No clue how this video ended up in my feed but it's somewhat fresh to see an actual new player experience. But no game will command your time quite like RuneScape.
Been playing this since 2003, haven't even done close to half the stuff available yet. I've 'quit' countless times but nobody ever quits, you just take breaks. My favourite game of all time
would love to see your progress in RS! was able to catch one of your WizLocke streams and am a fan of your humor and content. looking forward to whats next
Been playing RS on and off for 15 years. Long time osrs player, almost maxed many accounts, but it's so interesting to see the game through a new players eyes. I am a first time viewer, but subbed and waiting for more videos like these, this was awesome dude!
It’s funny that you brought up there not being a quest arrow and how it’s a cool feature that encourages exploration, because the community has developed a plugin that gives you that and tells you everything you need to complete the quest.
as a OSRS vet since '05, you're completely welcome to hit me up with questions. The game gets incredibly intricate in late game and can be TONS of fun.
The reason you couldn't attack the vampire is because you had npc attack options set to be dependent on their combat levels, so if they are vastly higher than you the game defaults to not letting you left click attack them. I set it to left click always because 99% of the time I want to attack the thing I am clicking on. I recommend having the player attack one on right click to attack because you don't want to get tricked into pvp when its full loot death on pvp. Also tick the option for skull trick prevention since it means the game prevents you from instigating pvp (and therefore losing all your gear if you die). You can still defend yourself though. Was really fun to see a new player experience in this game. Hope you carry on and have fun :)
It's great to see the authentic OSRS new player experience! It's hella nostalgic. Keep it up and just like tons of commenters said, the OSRS community is almost always super welcoming to new players so just ask around and don't fall for any money doubling or armor trimming scams!
I'd recommend not accepting gold from other players (unless in the form of bonds, for membership) so you can get the true OSRS experience. Best of luck out there gamer.
Let me port my max RS3 character and skill levels with completed quests to the equivalent in OSRS and I'll play. Otherwise I'm staying on RS3 and only logging in for an update

OSRS will either take up the next 6 seconds of your life or the next 6 decades and there is little in-between
