When I first found goblin mail, I didn't see the text that said it was too small to wear. I thought I had to level up before I could wear it. Got to level 10 combat stats killing spiders and goblins before I realized.
As someone with over 15,000 hours in this game on one account alone, I found this video very interesting seeing it from the perspective of a completely new player! Enjoyed it a lot and look forward to more OSRS Adventures
I absolutely love this. The fact that he went through how many hours of gameplay without realizing right click is a thing and would expand the game by so much is hilarious.
This is great fun to watch! As others have suggested, this series is a recipe for success. You have the unique opportunity to play a game for the first time that a LOT of people have many fond memories of, giving them that experience through you. Nostalgia is powerful, and many players and former players will want you to succeed in something that brought them so much happiness at one point or another in their life. You have a Nordic sounding accent that people will find entertaining and distinctive. You are a clever enough storyteller to know what to cut and what to include to keep the pacing just right, along with some good writing skills and a good sense of humor. There is opportunity here that you can easily reach out and grab if you want to do so.
Absolutely could not agree more with what the above has said. Please continue the series, (if you enjoy it) because many, many people will enjoy the journey alongside you. As Mang says, the nostalgia this emits is incredible for long-time players.
If you do continue the series please just ignore all suggestions that you "check the wiki", because you are showing the game in a way some of us have never considered. I've done thousands of clue scrolls and I never knew how the cypher works or that Veos can help you.
I appreciate that you are actually reading all the text in tutorial island. A big part of Runescape always enjoyed was the witty dialogue, but most people breeze right through it holding spacebar.
make this a full blown series and i garantee you you'll be having 100.000k view per video in now time. as someone who played this game for more than 1000 hours I can tell you the osrs community ADORES "noobs". veterans always play this game in the most optimized ways. and seeing someone play it for the first time reignites the spark that started it all. on top of that it is also funny as hell (in a good way).
Absolutely loved the commentary! Amazing to experience the game again through a newcomer's eye. It's so witty and full of dad humour just brilliant. Grindy and full of high end content as well for the more veteran players at the same time. Really looking forward to the next episode(s) !
I really hope you continue this adventure! It's interesting to see what confuses new players, and the methods you took to accomplish the tasks at hand.
This literally took me back to when I was 11 years old. The going around doing random stuff is how I spent my first 3 months on runescape. Fucking love this video. Hope this turns into a whole series.. Can't wait for him to walk past dark wizards
This was a really interesting and enjoyable video, if you're a new comer to osrs and you keep making videos like this I have no doubt your channel will take off fast. Pretty much everyone who makes osrs video have had multiple accounts and pretty much know the whole game already, you're really fresh content I know people will love it.
Started playing this game when I was 9 years old, I am now 27 lol. Very funny seeing someone else get to live through the magic of Runescape for the first time. I also want to let you know that, while Runescape is very simple in the beginning, the ceiling is incredibly high. It can be simple if you want it to be, but the combat and monsters can also be a near impossible challenge of brains and skill. 10/10 welcome to Gielinor m8
As a runescape vet myself (about 7,000 hours total or so) i hope you continue to stick around. Runescape has so much to offer for the most casual of players, or the sweaty sweats. Its deceivingly easy at first but can be complex ! Enjoyed your video!
Please continue this as a series, it's so great to watch someone go into the game knowing nothing and going through the experience for the first time. (:
Very cool series idea. Looking forward to see what happens next! I discovered runescape when it first came out, I was 6 or 7 at the time. I went through years of being a noob and seeing someone go through it as a fresh player is very nostalgic.
Duuuuude, you are such an underrated creator. Keep up with the osrs content, you're gonna do so good. Great first video, really funny! Had a smile on my face most of the time, you earned my sub for sure. :)
watching this brought back the runescape magic for me, I could vicariously feel like I did when I was a child and this game was new to me. Please post more videos if you keep playing, I also think the OSRS community needs someone like you
Keep making these and definitely try to keep your learning to in-game only! In a game full of nothing but metas and hyperefficiency, this is such a refreshing perspective that brings me back to when I first played and when it felt like an adventure in a massive new world rather than a calculator with the skin of a game.
Please continue documenting your journey as a fresh player if you are still playing this game, these videos have incredible potential with your personality and narration!
The nostalgia of the game hits different when you watch someone new play the game. Thanks for playing and hope you continue enjoying this amazing game!
I really hope Jagex watches this video. They're always asking what the new player experience is like, but as someone who's played this since they were a kid it's hard to help with that. This video filled me with so much joy, and reminded me of my first experience. I hope you continue to enjoy the game! :)
After playing this game for 17 years now, can't tell you how rewarding and fun it was to see this. This is truly what the game is all about. Amazing to see if played through the eyes of someone new and see them having fun and enjoying it. Great work mate and thank you! Also little tip, if an NPC is standing on loot that you would like to collect, you can right click and take it 🙂
I really really enjoyed this video and seeing a new players perspective of the game. I have 1000s of hours in this game so to see your side of things was amazing. I hope this series continues. it really is a beautiful and fun game. Take care flip and well done
Im a very late newcomer to OSRS, I started playing during lockdown #1 in 2020, however, i think the curiosity, the joy and the feeling of achievement throughout the game, especially at the start, is so universal with everyone no matter when they started playing, and this video has definitely made me remember about the night I first played OSRS :)
started playing 20 years ago and this was one of the best runescape videos i have ever seen, took me back to the noob days. subbed and watching the whole series now
Looking forward to the next episode! The OSRS community is strong, stick around if you enjoy the game we’ll continue to watch! Also love your sense of humour, refreshing to see new players with their experiences
There's something really special about watching someone engage with this game for the first time, and make all of the same mistakes we all made over a decade ago. I enjoyed this so much.
duuude finally a good runescape series lol. I recently started playing and all the videos are pretty unengaging for me atm. This is good stuff tho, thanks homie!
Welcome to RuneScape! We hope you stay and join those of us who play. We would love to see you continue making videos of you just learning the game. You’re living my childhood at the moment and it was awesome to watch.
I really enjoyed this video! I don’t like LoL or CSGO, so I’d never seen your channel before, but you made a great video :) Glad you enjoyed OSRS and would love to see a few more videos of it from you :)
After 18 years of playing this game, i never thought it would be so nostalgic and entertaining to watch someone start from scratch 😂 Keep up the series was a great watch!
This is absolutely brilliant. It's fantastic seeing new people find this grindfest. It's also a valuable resource for others who are perhaps looking to start an account. Looking forward for more!
im so glad i just found this series. excited to binge to see how far you've made it, hopefully you plan to continue with this long term. i really enjoy your commentary, and being a noob again vicariously through your gameplay. cheers!
I was also a new player last year, it’s cool to see other people trying out the game! Members provides access to so much more content that after you level up a bit and do the F2P quests you should definitely consider trying it out!
Absolutely loved the video! Your commentary is super enjoyable. I feel your curiosity combined with the minimal info the game itself tends to give you can make for more great content. After 6k hours of playtime I've found that osrs is great fun, the community and in game players are amazing and that membership is definitely worth it (also to make the early game more interesting). Definitely a sub from me!
That was a really fun video. I've been playing this game on and off for nearly two decades and I still remember discovering the game being such a magical time. I really hope you keep making these and discovering the game for yourself.
Enjoyed the video so much! Appreciate you sharing your experience! I’ve recently come back to RuneScape after quitting in 2011. I’m genuinely so lost and feel new all over again and it’s refreshing.
this is the best runescape video i have seen in a while, simply because it is SO refreshing to see someone experiencing it for the very first time!! i am looking extremely forward to another video.
-You can right click to have a drop down menu for everything that possible to do under you cursor. -you’re in a privileged position to many OSRS veterans. This video was so wholesome , best OSRS content iv seen in a bunch of time , please keep playing on Vanilla Client from Steam, seeing you figuring out those quests without the Quest Helper plugin was really fun, cant wait for the next episode . Welcome to OSRS my brother .
I honestly cannot wait to see more of this! Seeing someone play this game from a all new fresh perspective and actually find the game fun is something i never thought i'd ever see again! I'm curious to see what things you've learned about the game after uploading this video! Cheers man!
Great video. It's always nice seeing someone experiencing RuneScape in modern era. I myself started playing it relatively recent, about 4-5 years ago. I think decision to put "X mark the Spot" and beginner clues into free to play worlds is one of the better things they done for new players, because back in a day it was one thing i wanted to try the most when i became member. Treasure Hunting is a pretty universal thing that get people excited. Solving riddles and figuring out where to go is a satisfying experience, even when rewards are pretty mediocre for majority of player base.
23 now and I started playing super early back when I was 8. It’s so interesting to see someone experience for the first time something that’s been such a huge part of my life. Not only interesting but also a breath of fresh air compared to the usual RS content that you come across. Wishing you all the best in this new adventure - welcome!
As others have said I really hope you continue this series. It's great to see this game from the eyes of a new player and your video was very entertaining. You paced it perfectly with your editing and your commentary is engaging and hilarious.
I don't remember that "Adventurer Jon" guy. And I definitely never had that "Adventure Path" thing. After Tutorial Island, I was just thrown into the world on my own. I also only ever died once, and it was many years ago, and graves weren't a thing...
I've played RuneScape off and on for 20+ years. I still have my original account and a 20 year veteran cape to prove it. Watching a new player get into the game and enjoy it is really fun. Brings back some quite nostalgic memories.
Ove been playing for over 15 years man i love this video and just got so excited watching you please please please keep making videos!!! Imma watch the next one tonight when my wife falls asleep!
I LOVE THIS ive been playing this game since 2004 so seeing someone entirely new to the game is amazing, most players who make content at least are vets so this is amazing
Please continue this series. The osrs community is lovely on UA-cam and this is a great series. Oh so VERY rare to see a genuinely new player. Most people are returning players.
You’re playing the game the correct way! I started playing this game late 2005 and I could honestly say I didn’t play the game any much different than you are! You’ve learned a lot of key things quiet quickly imo. You’re doing good and great video.
I've been playing for years and let me tell you this is one of the best videos ive seen. Please continue your journey I laughed through the whole thing and was thoroughly engaged the entire time. I liked + Subscribed. Can't wait for the next episode
Hey Flip, I have been playing this game since launch of 2001. Love seeing somebody in 2022 starting this game for the very first time. Have fun :) Cheers!
As someone with thousands of hours on the game it was quite fun to watch it. Brings me back to when I started with my first ever account. Hope you will make more old school runescape video's. Enjoy the game mate!
I found your newest video and a few minutes in, I just knew I had to rewind this epic journey. 😂 got me cracking up, mix with guilt and nostalgia. Great work mate.
After 1 min I was hooked. Great video and I love to see the exposure it's getting. Your commentary style fits perfectly and I would love to see this continued as a series. The OSRS community treats its content creators very well and we would love to have you on board!
I don't know if I was lucky starting with an experienced friend who showed me everything or if it would've been more fun to discover all by myself like you did. Very enjoyable video.
15minutes in this video really takes me back to 2005 when i was 8 and played for the first time, no clue what's going on doing stuff that makes no sense pretty awesome honestly
I loved watching this. I was just pepeLaughing to myself at things you didn't know, but learning is the fun part. It's fun to see someone new play the game 🥰
I love this video so much, watching someone play for the first time takes me back 15 years when the new neighborhood kid showed me this game. I hope to see more of these videos, keep up the good work!
The funniest thing about this video is that most of the viewers are people that have played for over a decade, myself included. I've spawned in Lumbridge on half a dozen different accounts over the years so you take for granted all of the little humor and content of the starting area. I hope you continue enjoying the game as the world opens up more, this game doesn't really hold your hand so it can be easy to get lost and have difficulty figuring out what to do next. That being said, just do what seems cool and you'll have a blast. There is no shortage of people that will want to help you get more into the game whether with free stuff ingame or with guides and information so you can play this game at whatever pace you enjoy. Good luck Flip, hope you stick around. :)
Saw Witcher 3 GOTY Edition on sale for $10 when you were scrolling on steam. GET IT ASAP. Highly recommend playing that game. Very immersive, 10/10 story and hand's down the best single player RPG you'll ever honestly play. Best of luck bro
I've been playing this game for over 15 years, and this is truly top content/commentary. Good luck on future adventures friend, clicking only gets more fun. 😃
I have played Osrs for nearly 16 years and it is amazing one of the best games I have left and come back hundreds of times made lots of accounts from forgetting but recent started to replay I've subscribed to you and liked your videos and am excited to follow you on your journey First advice I give any new players is do quests its an amazing story line lots of different places to explore
This takes me back to the 2000's, playing runescape in high school, playing the game without the wiki and spending so much time confused as, but loving every moment.
Figuring out which weapon was better via Grand Exchange/High Alch/Low Alch prices *without even knowing what those numbers meant* was some absolutely fantastic 'task failed successfully' stuff. Bravo.
As someone with probably more than 15 years of playing this game I have to say that it's super fun to watch new players interact with the game and like it. Hope you keep up with the series!
I just know every OSRS veteran smiled when you tried to wear the Goblin mail. Great video.
so much
When I first found goblin mail, I didn't see the text that said it was too small to wear. I thought I had to level up before I could wear it. Got to level 10 combat stats killing spiders and goblins before I realized.
Major nostalgia
i remember wearing goblin mail as a kid but maybe i just remember incorrectly but i have a feeling i could put it on when i picked it up
And when he milks the lumbridge cow lmao
I'm hooked on this series
Pog
As someone with over 15,000 hours in this game on one account alone, I found this video very interesting seeing it from the perspective of a completely new player! Enjoyed it a lot and look forward to more OSRS Adventures

Same (well, not that many hours). Makes me wish I could play it again for the first time :(
Yup, I was baffled that he took the suggested name and didn't just re name it.
Yeah my account alone is 17 years old…it’s so cool to see people get interested in the game and start fresh.
@@skaapu it's a very afk game. To fish ya can click and wait for 2 minites as your inventory fills then click again, repeat
Honestly didn't think this game was attracting any new players. I hope you keep this series going, it's cool to see
Yeah lol, so far the evidence suggests the game has attracted a total of 1 new player(s)
u will be surprised how the exact steam page lured me into playing this old gem
i got my little brother (12 years old) to play this game, so i guess there are new players who like to play it

100% agree, welcome to RuneScape you are now trapped like the rest of us
I appreciate that you are actually reading all the text in tutorial island. A big part of Runescape always enjoyed was the witty dialogue, but most people breeze right through it holding spacebar.
And then he immediately skips the death tutorial, worried about the Grave timer, while being told the timer doesn't start yet by Death himself LUL
Probably the most entertaining RuneScape video out their for long time players. Hope you turn this into a series.

Those dark wizards gives me nightmares from my early days of RuneScape 😅😢

Not sure why you were recommended to me but you have an entertaining narration style 👍🏻
well me neither but I'll take it, cheers :)
Very well done video. I started playing for the first time in 2018 so I can relate to the early game confusions lol
I love this, so glad this popped up into my recommendations. Hopeful you'll continue this!
this playthrough is gonna be a gem. finding someone who has never played RS in 2022 is truly rare.
0:47 Enjoy OSRS being your “additional” game while it lasts! This addiction is worse than CS:GO or League! Excited to watch the rest of this series.
I absolutely love this! There's so many good series on how this 20 year old game can be played but this is truly unique!
I have played Osrs for nearly 16 years and it is amazing one of the best games I have left and come back hundreds of times made lots of accounts from forgetting but recent started to replay I've subscribed to you and liked your videos and am excited to follow you on your journey
First advice I give any new players is do quests its an amazing story line lots of different places to explore
This takes me back to the 2000's, playing runescape in high school, playing the game without the wiki and spending so much time confused as, but loving every moment.
i really love the commenting. please continue this series :D
I love this as a long time RuneScape player. This makes me have hope for the future of the game. Love watching noobie vids.
This is amazing! I've been playing since 02 and I love seeing new people coming to game. Bout to binge this, good luck
