"Jennifer Anniston as a Brunette?" Am I forgetting a time when she wasn't... 🤣
Huh? I wonder if they know each other too? 🤔
Yooo I've watched you guys for years now, kinda funny you also watch ashleigh lol.
Loving your Conan series
The Leprechaun is very well-travelled. In the sequels, he goes to Las Vegas, Outer Space, and Da Hood.
Leprechaun in the hood is hilarious
He also went BACK 2 Da Hood....(I gotta be honest, the animated intro to the movie was the best part.)
The last movie was a sequel to this one.
On the one hand, if your idea for the next movie in your franchise is to set it in Da Hood, just don't. Stop. You don't have to do that.
On the other hand, it might have been worth it for the diegetic leprechaun rap.
The one in the hood is so damn ridiculous 🙄🙄🙄
Not Ashley going in not knowing that Leprechaun is a horror movie.
Horror-comedy. The real horror came a few sequels later for me.
This is back when the entire horror genre went to shit because they forgot they were supposed to actually be horror and not comedy.
@@99thJediWarriorleprechaun in da hood and in space is hilarious 😂
The best one is 3.
I saw it flipping channels one day and was not ready to see him that's for sure 😂😂😂
I used to be a promotions producer at a tv station and we were going to air this film. I wrote the line "He's magically MALACIOUS!" in the promo :)
Well done!😁👍
Pure genius ❤
The bit about catching a Leprechaun to force him to give up his gold is part of the legend. Another movie you should see is "Darby O'Gill and the little people"
Yes! Connery was great in that one
That was how Connery got the role of James Bond.
Even better, watch the episode of 'Bonanza' where Hoss sees leprechauns.
💯 agree, love Derby O'Gill. ❤️
I absolutely LOVE that movie. It is the one that introduced me to Sean Connery outside of being 007. 💜🤣
Now, who is going to tell Ashleigh that they made 8 Leprechaun movies (including Leprechaun in Space, Leprechaun in the Hood, and Leprechaun Back 2 Tha Hood)?
I think she could handle 1 a year, lol.
Back 2 tha hood is my favorite one!! It’s HORRIBLE 😂😂😂
Eight? Leprechaun 6: Back 2 Tha Hood (2003) is the last film with Davis in the title role, then there's a 2018 with a different actor playing the role. By my count, that makes seven movies.
They made a back 2da hood?! Lol I need to watch it
Fun Fact
The one liner "F*** You Lucky Charms" was a rewrite line.
Originally the line was "Your Luck Just Ran Out" but they changed it.
Why?
Because they had the license to have Lucky Charms in the movie but when General Mills heard the film was a "Horror Picture" they pulled the licencing back.
That's why when the Leprechaun ate the cereal the box said "Lucky Clovers" and the line was aimed not just at the Leprechaun, but General Mills too 😂
It’s so cute.
Ashleigh in a head wrap and not even one "Get your ass to mars?" You had one job.
That would have been comedy gold!
Hell yes, I'm disappointed. Ashleigh, get your ass to Mars.😂 ❤ Love your reaction 😊
Two weeks.
No shit.
In the mid-90s when I was 9 years old, I worked at a haunted house attraction in Springfield, TN every evening after school. I played the Leprechaun where I had to hide in a crate and pop out to scare people as they walked by and shout "WHERE'S ME GOLD!". Sometimes people threw money to me.
Warwick Davis created one hell of an iconic horror character in the like of Pinhead, Freddy, and Jason. He is the best part of this movie. It also helps that the other characters are somewhat likable. Warwick going around yelling, "Where's me gold!" Is priceless. "Fuck you Lucky Charms!" is the best line.
The guy in the overalls is Mark Holton, best known for Pee Wee's Big Adventure,Teen Wolf, he also was John Wayne Gacy in a movie
He played the adult version of Stillwell, the bad child who plagued the Peaches baseball team in "A League of Their Own"
And “Chubby” in Teen Wolf & Teen Wolf Too
THAT'S what I remember him in! It was driving me nuts!
@@lisaclark1181me too!!!!
@@DEZaster13"Underneath _these?"_
🧦👃🏻
I remember a story Penn Gillette told of him going with some friends to watch Leprechaun IV, and every time the word "leprechaun" was said they all would stand up and take a bow.
In some myths of faeries and the like, it's said you can distract certain creatures by pouring salt or sand or something in front of them, and they'll be forced to stop and count every grain. They actually used that in a recent episode of Doctor Who, which was interesting.
Never heard sand. Have heard salt and rice though.
But that is only on certain creatures.
@@rmhartman Ah, I may have been a little off in the details. I thought they mentioned sand, and wheat grains too. I guess it depends on what's naturally available. My favorite scene depicting it is probably that one episode of Supernatural.
They use this for vampires too in the Laundry Files.
@@nessaarandur7740 I'm sorry, the what now?
The reason why The Leprechaun is obsessed with shoes is that Leprechauns were legendary cobblers aka shoemakers.
We needed a Leprechaun vs Chucky more than we needed Freddy vs Jason!
'You can't cross holiday's like that' Ashleigh says as the Leprechaun climbs out of the chimney.
Jack Skeleton agreeing as he wears his santa outfit!
Filmed in 1992, released in 1993. FRIENDS Season 1 was filmed in 1993 and released in 1994. so theres was probably a day on set when the cast of FRIENDS watched LEPRECHAUN and thats all i want to know about haha
And during that interval Jennifer got a nose job.
Just before this she had costarred in a TV adaptation of Ferris Bueller's Day Off as his sister and then appeared in another short-lived sketch comedy show on Fox with Julie Brown. By the time this movie came out I was already aware of who she was but BOY did I take notice of her in this movie!
👏🏼
Season 1 of Friends with filmed in the summer of 1994.
Ashleigh's, "I guess you can say they have their lucky charms". And Ozzie's phone call to the police, "Help. Help. It's happening. The attack is on. O'Grady farm. Uh, send help. The leprechaun is attacking. Army, navy, guns, marines, and we're gunna need some medicine". 🤣Quite a few side splitters in this one.
I hope this franchise becomes a yearly tradition for you. A new sequel every St. Patrick's Day
The line "F*** You, Lucky Charms" is the best thing about this movie 😅.
Yasssss
I don’t know about that. Warwick Davis made this franchise so I’d say they are tied as the best things about the movie.
followed by Ashleigh sayng 'not leprechaun approved, got it!'
'fuck you Lucky Charms' came about because Lucky Charms were supposed to sponsor this film. when they found out it was a horror, they changed their minds and all scenes where you could see their logo had to be reshot. the line was added because they felt they were done dirty
Jennifer Aniston will always be the best thing about this movie
I saw this in elementary school. During our morning gathering I told my friends about this movie. I stood up and yelled the line “F**k you lucky charms!” Right when the principal was behind me. Got into so much trouble.
Been there.
😂😂
Jennifer Aniston hated being in this movie, even though it was her big screen debut, she doesn't want to mention it in any of her interviews, to this day.
She stated in one interview that this movie almost ruined her career as an actress.
@@EntertainmentFan11well around the same time she'd done at least 2 shows that didn't even make it a whole season...(2 years after this film she got the Friends gig which alot of people to this day feel the character of Rachel was channeling Tory from Leprechaun). Yeah I laughed so hard when Ashleigh was so surprised... I honestly think Aniston just about said the same comment in every interview I've seen when the topic of Leprecahaun has been brought up!😂
The only time I remember her ever discussing it, she said her boyfriend found it on late night cable and insisted on watching it. Much to her embarrassment lol. That was awhile back though.
@@EntertainmentFan11Why? It was her first big gig, Everyone has to start somewhere
@@jesusramirezromo2037Really! It's hard to respect these so-called A-listers who never want to acknowledge the dues they had to pay to get where they are.
“They’re really giving Ozzie an in depth backstory”
said backstory being: he’s not the smartest guy, and that’s it 😂
He dumb as bricks. Nuff said. Deep back story.
Check out the movies The People Under The Stairs(1991) and Jeepers Creepers(2001).
The People Under the Stairs is one of Wes Cravens best. I miss him. RIP. The first two Jeepers Creepers were awesome. Sadly, they went down hill from there.
I love the people under the stairs. I am know. To say “Foooo” at random 😂
That tricycle has now been refurbished and given to Billy from jigsaw.
There are MORE Leprechaun movies. Yes Ashley, IT IS A FRANCHISE!!!!
One of the few horror franchises with the same actor playing the main character for most of it.
Warwick Davis was the Leprechaun for 6 movies. 1, 2, & 3. 4: In Space (my favorite), In The Hood, Back 2 Tha Hood.
They had a terrible god aweful un-need film made by WWE starring wrestler Hornswoggle called Origins. Then they had a reboot called Returns that took place as if the other films after the 1st film never happened with a new guy playing Lubdan (the Leprechaun's name). The 8th film Returns made the Leprechaun more like the 1st six films rather then a snarling beast like it was in Origins.
Its a bit Roger Corman production , spend $1 mil to make a movie , if it makes $1,5 mil in box office it's still a profit .
Real money was made in VHS rental and selling copies .
@justingarrett1675
Actual Lee: "Leprechaun Returns" (2018) is a direct sequel to the first, whereas the other Leprechaun films starring Warwick Davis are stand-alone stories, and "Leprechaun Origins" is the WWE produced reboot.
In Wayne's World, Wayne taunts Garth by shining a flashlight on his face and impersonating the Leprechaun.
The guy in the pogo stick kill was one of the Darryls on Newhart. As in ''I'm Larry. This is my brother Darryl and my other brother Darryl''. He's one of those guys.
Thank you. I kept trying to figure out where I knew him from.
He's a "that guy" character actor. Don't know his name but you know his face. AKA "Hey! It's that guy!"
21:57 “that’s not where you fell”…”THAT’S where you fell.” lol 😂🤣🍀
I don't know if its worth mentioning but us Irish (as in those you live and reside in Ireland) aren't really a big leprechaun people. We have always been more into Banshees (female specters whose screams and wails foretell deaths) and just general fairy or fae folk, of which leprechauns arguably sprang off. There's a leprechaun museum in Dublin, but its really just a tourist trap.
Well now I need to deep dive into Banshees.
SPOILER ALERT: dont go watching BANSHEES OF INESHERIN to actually be about Banshees. I know I was disappointed haha
@@awkwardashleigh
@awkwardashleigh Darby O'Gill and the Little People. An old-school Disney movie and one of Sean Connery's earliest roles.
Maybe check out High Spirits then. It's got Darryl Hannah as an Irish ghost who falls in love with Steve Gutenberg, an American tourist. Great "haunted Ireland" vibes. Banshees and pookahs, that kind of thing.
Also Liam Neeson is in it for some reason. And the lawyer from Jurassic Park who got eaten on the toilet.
@awkwardashleigh you are going to love good willing hunting and you need to reaction to batman the animated series at some point it's Lucky charms cereal was a out for the kids who steal his luck charms their magic ly ,you know what.
Sadly, my 5 year old did not catch a leprechaun this year.
But one definitely showed up because the cookie she used as bait was gone in the morning
🙂
Fun fact: the guy who plays the leprechaun’s first role was Wicket the Ewok, the one Leia meets and the. interacts with most in Return of the Jedi.
He is also Professor Flitwick & Griphook in the Harry Potter franchise.
He was also Professor Flitwick & Griphook the Goblin in the Harry Potter franchise.
Warwick is a master at his craft. Lucas loved him and made sure to write roles and cameos just for him to be in his work. You can see Warwick in almost all prequels in some side or background role.
Warwick Davis.
Respect the name.
If you think THIS one is crazy...just wait for the sequels lol this one is very mild compared to the crazy stuff coming in the sequels. I feel leprechaun is underrated. He is a great villain in his own ways. The series was always meant to be a joke anyway and not taken seriously. When you don't have big budget and movie studios breathing down your neck on every detail you can have some fun with it. Warwick was loving it and it showed.
"They set this up for a sequel."
Yep. Seven of them.
Isn't it interesting how a lot of big movie stars got their start in horror movies? Jennifer Aniston, Johnny Depp, Kevin Bacon, Jamie Lee Curtis, John Travolta. Its a shame most of them won't talk about the movies that gave them a chance and technically gave them that push towards success.
Yep if it wasn't for this movie Nightmare on Elm Street ,Friday the 13th, Halloween and Carrie some of these actors may not be as known
Brad Pitts second movie was a slasher cutting class and Matthew Mcconaughey 4th was Texas chainsaw massacre the new generation
And the funniest thing about Johnny Depp was, he didn't even try to be an actor. He just went to the Nightmare on Elm Street audition to support his friend, but Depp was hired anyway. That friend he was with? None other than Jackie Earle Haley, who went on to play Freddy Krueger in the 2010 remake.
And if it wasn't low budget horror, several big stars would get their start in teen sex comedies, especially in the 80s.
always snobby & were never humble. The usual people, that you people, idolize 😂
In 1993, Leprechaun was Jennifer Anniston’s first major movie role.
She was 24 years old,
And she is so HOT🔥😍
@@pdottie212fu per google:
Jennifer Anistaon’s first major feature film role was playing the lead protagonist in the film Leprechaun, released on January 8, 1993, she was 24 years old.
Lol, the only thing I could think was, "It's not October, why is she watching a horror movie?".
ummh ... St. Patrick's Day.... o-b-v-i-o-u-s-l-y!!))))
I did, too, until I realized that Sunday was St. Patrick's Day.
I was like she’s in for a big surprise
"Have you seen a crock of gold lying around? Tell me or I'll bite your ear off, and I'll make a boot out of it." ☘
In folklore leprechauns are skilled shoemakers and menders, legend in Ireland has it that if you put a damaged shoe outside on your doorstep with a coin inside, you'll find the shoe the next morning, repaired with the coin removed
Ashleigh's "hubbin" tonight gets the flashlight and goes Wayne's World
"I'm the leprechaun!!"!
😂😂😂😂
"You thought Nathan was UNDER THE TRUCK???" Had me DEAD 🤣🤣
This was a part of the forgotten 90's trend of fairy tale themed horror movies including the "Mirror, mirror" franchise/"Rumpelstiltskin" (1995)/"Pinocchio's Revenge" (1996)/"Snow White: A tale of Terror" (1997).
This is definitely a goofy horror comedy, but what I love is that it's having fun with itself. It's just trying to run with a ridiculus concept for a movie, and of course the best part is Warwick Davis as the Leprechaun. He makes these Leprechaun movies a fun ride.
Well, maybe next year Ashley needs to watch Leprechaun: Back 2 Tha Hood
Hopefully it doesnt take her that long ti get around to it 😂
I think she should probably see when Lep first visited "Tha Hood" in the first place in order to see why he came back 2 it.
@dfuebermann1
Actual Lee: Her name is spelled A-S-H-L-E-I-G-H, and next entry is "Leprechaun 2" (1994) followed by "Leprechaun 3" (1995), then "Leprechaun 4: In space" (1996) then "Leprechaun in the hood" (2000) followed it.
Sadly 4/20 falls on a Saturday this year.

Leprechaun: A friend with weed, is a friend indeed!
8:59 we ALL love her shorts... believe us
Before "Leprechaun," there were a couple of movies you should consider that came out the same year are "Critters" and "Troll" (1986), both comedic, sci-fi, fantasy, horrors.
I can’t help but think the character of Ozzy and his friendship with the boy was inspired by the (also slow) guy and the boy on the farm in Critters.
Warwick Davis also played Wicket the Ewok in Return of the Jedi when he was only 12 years old.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE MAKE HER WATCH CRITTERS?!
If you want other St. Paddy's suggestions for following years.......Brooklyn, The Banshees of Inisherin, Wolfwalkers
"Elevated" was def a good call
Chick was slurring by the end of the movie lol. She's one of us.
This film was made before Jennifer Anniston had a nose job. I'm not sure why though, her nose looks fine and it's not really even noticeable that it's different.
With all the royal drama going on, I’d love to see you react to The Crown. Not enough people on YT have done so. 👸🏻
Please add KILLER CLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE to the Hallobeans lineup.
When the leprechaun came out of the barn on the tricycle always made me laugh when I was a kid.
“Help! Help! It’s happening!” 😂
i love the Leprechaun franchise, it goes from good to so bad it's good, you can tell that Warwick Davis was having a hoot being the little green devil. lol
There are five sequels to this featuring Warwick Davis as the leprechaun. Then there's a 2018 film by the same writer, but with a different actor playing the part.
BTW, did you notice that when she's looking for the four-leaf clover, her hands were green, showing that they just shined a green light on that patch of ground?
The guy that got the blue paint on his head is the guy at the end of A League of their Own that played the little kid "You're gonna lose!"
Always thought this movie was hilarious! Side note: my ex-wife can find a 4 leaf clover almost on demand. I swear, it only takes her about 10 minutes, tops, to find one.
I have that ability too. I think it's a pattern recognition thing.
M. Emmett Walsh died the other day. He was in the first two movies you watched this year; What's Up, Doc, and Christmas With the Kranks.
Hell yeah! Classic cheesy horror. Warwick Davis' most iconic role. There needs to be more reactions to movies like this. The cheese and campiness give them a certain charm. GoodBadFlicks and The Horror Geek have reviewed so many great movies of this caliber. Their reviews are hilarious. Interested in a movie about an evil genie, I highly recommend "Wish Master" from 1997 and the sequel.
She would love goodbadflicks!
Warwick Davis was also in : Return of the Jedi as Wicket ( the Ewok), he played the title character in Willow & 3 different Characters in the Harry Potter movies
Warwick Davis was also in. Leprechaun 2. Leprechaun 3. Leprechaun 4. Leprechaun in space. Leprechaun in the hood. He has many roles that show he's versatile in acting... And rhyming
He also hosts gameshows
And traveling with Karl Pilkington
I remember when I was a kid I watched this movie and it traumatized me lol. Every time I saw green I was scared the leprechaun was going to get me.
"Lucky Charms" hilarious!
On an unrelated topic, isn't it about time that Ashleigh watched the Wayne's World movies?
Oddly enough this was originally meant to be a family friendly horror film, but the studio changed their minds at the last minute and added explicit violence to it.
I can see that actually. As it stands it seems somewhere in between PG-13 and R. I mean for 1993 standards. A few scenes push it into R like the cop in the woods, but overall it does have a fun feel that helps undercut the horror
Enjoying this film. Next time see Darby O'Gill and the Little People. Some Irish music, leprechauns, and a very young sexy Sean Connery.
Robert Hy Gorman (Alex) was a pretty busy child actor during the 90s. Lephrechaun, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, Stephen King's Sometimes They Come Back, Mr. Nanny, Rookie of the Year, Forever Young, and TV apperances in Full House, Quantum Leap, Falcon Crest (started in the late 80s), Empty Nest, and The Home Court.
Unfortunately, not much is known about him. He took a hiatus from acting from 1998 to 2005, then returned to acting that same year. His last credited role was on an episode of Drop Dead Diva and that was in 2009. I don't want to make any assumptions, but he's probably retired from acting at this point.
"I would poop my britches."
I can't explain why I love this so much. It's why you stand out so much from other people watching movies.
You can tell Ashleigh is about 85% LIT during this reaction
I was gonna say, "This isn't a good movie, but if you come at it with the right mindset, it's a fun movie." Then you go and say, "I'm for real hooked, and I'm also extremely glad I'm elevated."
Elevated. Elevated is the right mindset.
Funny enough,Warwick Davis played a good leprechaun in 1998. A Very Unlucky Leprechaun.
You need to watch Sean Connery in the classic film, Darby O'Gill and the Little People!!
I had totally forgotten how just unhinged this movie is. I don't think I've seen this since the 90's.
Great combo of zany and scary.
Cat’s Eye for Halloween would be cool.
For context, one of Matthew McConaughey's earliest movies was a Texas Chainsaw Massacre installments.
At 2:05 your face perfectly overlays the face of the lady. For a moment I thought you were in this movie.
This one of those CLASSIC "this movie is terrible but that's kind of the point" 80s horror movies. In other words one of the BEST kinds of movies!
1993. But yes the ‘80s did really carry into the ‘90s in general. I remember.
Pretty sure that with Leprechaun 2, the "so bad its good" thing wraps back around to "so bad it's bad".
Warwick Davis is such an acting icon. He's had some really amazing roles in his long career. I saw recently Jennifer Aniston said she hates this movie now :/ but its soooo good. Campy and funny and even a bit scary. The sequels to this franchise go OFF the rails. I highly recommend sticking with it.
I love 80's Horror movies. They had such a big kids-can-watch-it-too factor.
"Where's me gold lassy !"
"Your shoes need a bit of shining there !"
"Where's me schilling?!" iconic line from Willow's Warwick Davis. Nice reaction Ashleigh, there are a number of sequels including Leprechaun In The Hood. Jennifer was 24 here. When you said, "I believe this guy" he played Francis in Pee Wee's Big Adventure and the kid with the hat is in the film "Forever Young." Patreon Movie Suggestion: Cloverfield, pun intended.
I love that movie reactions allows me to “watch” movies that Iv never seen but Iv been interested in. Iv always been curious about this movie but not quite enough to sit down and watch it. This reaction, AS ALWAYS, was fantastic and now I know I dont really want to watch the whole movie 😂

Aye yo your face when the leprechaun appeared is priceless ❤. I literally hollered!
Paint thinner/acetone shouldn't burn, it will definitely draw the moisture out of your skin and cause it to crack if you keep it on the skin -- but it shouldn't directly burn you. If it does there might be some allergy you need to be aware of. And to be clear, _yes_ acetone or other paint thinners can cause irritation and a burn on skin if subject to prolonged exposure, but if you just get some on you and clean it off/wipe it down -- you _should_ be fine. We used to use Xylene to clean our hands on jobsites if they got covered in paint or staining grime. Just dump enough on your hand to get a good coverage, scrub lightly like you're rinsing your hands, wipe them down with a cloth, then run them under some water to solvate the solution. If you've got any open wounds or anything then yeah, that shit will feel like liquid fire.

Every St. Patrick's Day, I watch "The Quiet Man" and "Three Cheers for the Irish".
My father and his brother were both born on St. Patrick's Day. Six years apart!
My uncle used to say, "For my sixth birthday, I got a baby brother!"
It’s cracking me up how many times she has said, “I didn’t realize Leprechauns_____” as if this movie were the most accurate to the lore 😂
This is a very serious case study FYI.
"Where was this filmed, Ireland?"
Nah, it was southern California, pretending to be Ireland.
"How old was she?"
Jennifer was only 19 years old in this movie.
You should watch the next 5 Leprechaun movies! Leprechaun 3 is my favorite of the franchise!
To make it even more impressive the average cost of a movie ticket in 1993 was around $4.14.
I can totally see how this drew a big audience in 1993. I think you had to be there to understand.
Each film the Leprechaun is different. Warwick Davis plays it in almost all the movies.
So I'm a bit of a mythology buff. Particularly in Faery Lore. Leprechauns are a type of Faery, some can be dark and evil like this one, and some help people. Faeries have a natural magic called Glamour, where they can create illusions of all kinds, including mimicry of another person. They can trick all the senses. For example, they can get you to eat a rock and make you think it's your favorite food or the most delicious thing you've ever eaten. This one is out for vengeance so he's going to be extra pissed obviously. So there's a bit of completely random info for everyone! If you want another Campy movie that is very B rated, find yourself the Movie Troll 2. Scared the hell out of me when I was a kid for reasons.
I feel like I’m the only person that thinks it’s incredibly sad that Ozzie dies at the end!!
I remember being a kid when this came out. Me and my friend snuck into the small movie theater in our mall. His sister who worked there let us in, and this was the movie we saw. Back then no one batted an eye about it I guess lol But yeah, this movie freaked me out! lol
When I was 9 years old my best friend at the time and I would watch this and the 2nd one all the time. We were obsessed
I remember watching this from behind my couch when I was like 8, this and chucky always got me
A long time ago, i had a ringtone on my cell that said, "Mother? Are you out there? I can't see!" I changed it after about a week... too creepy
