    the tip about making connections hit hard. i'm 24 and have zero friends my age, all of my coworkers are older than me by at least 20 years. i've been majorly struggling to meet other 20-somethings, especially since i'm not into the bar/drinking scene. there's a brand new gym under construction near my house and i'm anxiously waiting for it to open. i've never had a gym membership before and i'm really hoping that i'll be able to meet some people my age there! fingers crossed.

      Try classes, especially sports or fitness classes are great because it keeps you coming in regularly to see the same people every week or so. It's easy to build friendships around an activity like that. Imo when you go to work out by yourself most of the people keep to themselves, except the creepers lol.

    I love sleeping. So much. It makes anxiety problems easier to handle and I feel better in my body. I'll never apologize for having to do a natural part of living, no matter what capitalists say or do to try to convince me otherwise.

    I've been trying to lose weight for a half year now, and I've so far successfully lost 10 pounds! I've been trying to research new ways to move my body and I've happened upon your channel, and let me tell you it's so relieving to finally find someone who's talking about weight loss from the perspective of someone who used to be overweight, I'm definitely going to comb through more of your channel, especially since I'm trying to get into calisthenics and your channel is seriously the only one that has ACTUAL beginners in mind. Literally didn't know about elevated pushups until now, I've mastered knee pushups but normal pushups were always so hard, it's comforting to know there's more steps in could do. Anyways, these tips are so helpful, even further into my weight loss journey. The food mindset is something I've thankfully gotten the hang of, same with changing what exercise means, drinking water, and curating my environment... though sleep and connections are definitely things I still struggle with, hopefully I'll get to those eventually too!
    Anyways, thanks for your channel, I'm so glad I found it, and I'm very excited to adapt your advice and teachings into my daily routines from here on out ❤

    That one about social interaction, I've honestly found it so much easier to go for my walks around the lake because I'm surrounded by people who are there for the same reason as me, to move. If I just went for a walk near my house idk I'm not really keen, but I actually get excited to go to the lake. Do I talk to anyone? Hell no I'm introverted af 😂 but being around people who are there for the same purpose as me idk it just feels motivating, and it's different to the gym as well

      My lake walks are the same. I feel way more motivated and a quick smile, nod, and hello to the friendly people walking their dogs makes me happy and I feel way more connected to humanity! People need people. ❤

    These tips are such a great foundation! As someone who has diabetes and congested heart failure, a lot of information is thrown at you. It can become very overwhelming. Thanks for making it a little bit simpler and "digestible."

    One thing, if the reason you are struggling with looking after yourself (e.g. cooking well for yourself, creating time, exercising) is because you are a people pleaser and you have overstretched yourself over the past years by always saying yes to everybody and everything and are now burned out because of it, the last bit of advice does not apply 😅 learn to say no first. only then you can learn to say yes to the things *you* actually want to say yes to (rather than the things you feel you should be saying yes to)

    Environment is so important. I struggle with sleep, and 50% of the issue is the apartment building I live in - it doesn't matter what time I go to bed at if I'm being woken up at 4.30am by my upstairs neighbours deciding to rearrange their furniture, or 6am by that one person who slams every door on their way out the building, or 2am by the asshole on a motorcycle who decides to idle for ten minutes then rev his engine five times outside the building before speeding off. The rent is amazing but I'm moving next year once I've saved enough to do so. Hell is other people ;__;
    Edit: yes, I have tried earplugs and no they don't work.

      oh i know how you feel, the furniture part - i cannot understand whyyyy they do that. Also my neighbour decides to run or play basket ball.. cant remember when i fell asleep for 6hrs

    So many good tips. I'm doing the one about adding healthier options slowly without feeling guilty about eating things I like. I'm looking for healthier recipes and adding them slowly on my diet. Some good and easy recipes include overnight oatmeal with chia seeds, boiled brocolis and carrots and eating bananas or apples before chocolates.

    I made various diet changes to make it healthier, but I eat throughout the day. I have cereal in the morning, a fruit salad a couple hours later, for lunch some bars, greek yogurt and fiber between lunch and dinner, salad and protein for dinner then greek yogurt and fiber at night. This works for me. Later I will modify my breakfast and lunch.
    I also like to do walking cardio, so I like AllBlanc and Get fit with rick, and I try to reach 7500 steps each day.
    Good advice you have, btw.

    Thanks for the great video! Could you talk more about better sleep quality? I struggle to get restorative sleep. If i have stress during the day, like going gym or social stress, the following night is bad.

    For me, it’s stopping to drink soda and sugar in general. I’m 40, and i still lose weight so fast when I do that. I’ll do period of 6 months where I’ll eat whatever I want, work out a lot and then 6 months where I cut all the sugar, I’ll lose 40 lbs within 3 - 4 months, i still eat a lot but without sugar
