losing weight is not easy you guys it takes a lot of work, dedication and especially if you have eating disorders. looking back 6 months ago I was 264lbs but now I’m 163lbs. It was pure sacrifice, so I’m here to encourage anyone trying to lose weight not to give up 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you! I'm on a weight loss journey and I had/have an eating disorder. It's not easy but I won't give up this time! I do not only want to lose weight but also recover from the disorder. Slowly but steady I will reach my goal and your comment gave me hope!
Thank you so much! I too am on a weight loss journey. I’m just really confuse about what is ok to have in my body. Like is it ok to have as much back fat as I do is it normal to have as big of a belly as I do. What number on the scale am I suppose to be. Ik that’s not the way to look at it but anyways. I’m a young person who was 160 but now I have gotten down to 140 which is not much at all. That took me like year probably because I wasn’t taking it as seriously but now I’m stuck and I literally don’t eat anything, but I don’t think I have an Ed. No matter how much I workout or how much I don’t eat I’m still stuck.
Note : 1. Reaching plateau means that your body needs less calories than it needed before 2. Recalculate TDEE 3. Exercise more/ increase intensity of you workout if you can in order to create a bigger deficit 4. Train with weights 5. Small movements you do everyday are very important as they're all burning calories (if you can choose to walk, do so !) 6.increase proteins you eat and fibers as well, protein food take more energy to digest etc

I currently 8 weeks into a plateau, it’s taken everything in me not to give up on my nutrition and exercise. I still have lots of post-partum weight to lose 😭. I checked my macros and it seems I’m not eating enough protein, so maybe I need to lower the carbs and increase my protein intake. Thanks so much for the advice.
Thanks for this very crisp video on the topic. I lost 12kg (26lbs) in 5 months and now I‘m stuck at the exact same weight (to the gram exact) for a month. It‘s my second week of incorporating resistance training into my routine & I try to up my protein intake.. we‘ll see how that works. I gotta admit: hitting a weight loss plateau is very very frustrating
I was over 200lbs+ and brought it down to 180lbs in a course of 3-4 months. I was stuck at 180lbs for about 2 years despite me following a strict diet, running, and doing high intensity cardio training. However, I recently figured out a way to break this plateau. I figured it out by accident. It is incredibly powerful that i'm not even following any special diets or eating healthy at all anymore and it is virtually unaffected. Im actually eating pretzels and cookies right now while i lay in bed late at night lol But that's how powerful this method is. I must warn, though, that it is not the most pleasant process BUT it is probably the most healthiest and necessary thing one can do for their body!

I've been on a weight loss journey since December last year. So far I've lost 3.5 stone. But now I've hit a plateau which I've been stuck at for at least a month now. I rarely lose more than 0.5lbs a week and some weeks I gain weight

I recently re-started my weightloss journey and I have a lot of willpower, I do 30 minutes of workouts everyday since I started. when I don't see results I'm so sad and I think I haven't ate well yesterday so the next day I eat less. I don't know what I have to eat and how much exercise I have to do. I hope it will get better and I'll watch your video about calories, I want to educate myself about how my body works
I was aiming to lose 3-4 kilos a month and at first it went well, but the last 2 months there has been only a small decrease in my weight. I do feel much stronger and fitter though ^_^ I'm gonna try to do 2-3 of the things you mentioned and hopefully, it'll work. Thank you for the clear explanations!

Thanks for this honest, informative and helpful video. One word about protein I must mention. I lost 40 lbs. easily on a keto diet years ago BUT unbeknownst to me, my kidneys were also damaged and now I am living with kidney disease. It is SO important to work WITH our bodies and stay healthy. That's why I like your videos too. They are open-ended, giving facts but not presenting a specific plan for everybody. I've been in a plateau for over a month now. I fell off the wagon at Christmas and gained 4lbs plus 0.7% body fat (up until then I'd lost 1st 7lbs since March 2020). I've been counting calories, but now I'm doubting how many I'm eating is accurate because I just go with what MyFitness Pal suggests. Looking up my TDEE, I feel like I've literally been eating my BMR calories for this entire time and now I don't really know where to go with it. I've started trying to exercise 3-5 times a week but motivation is dwindling again. I'm fed up of counting calories, and I just want my body fat % to reduce.

Hey Lucy, good point on protein intake. A question is it okay if I take a break of 3-4 days during my periods. I usually eat more during these days and exercise is just limited to small walks. So I end up feeling guilty of breaking my routine.
This is the rest of your life, so ask yourself is a 3-4 day break every whatever your cycle is really going to break your routine or progress? Hey Poornima! First off, it is completely normal to feel more exhausted and unmotivated in the days right before and during your period. You also may experience craving that isn’t there the rest of your cycle. Consider making those couple of days your maintenance days, allowing for less activity and more calories. Acknowledging your body‘s needs could be a great lesson for the final maintenance phase at the end of your weightless journey, where you probably don’t want to count calories anymore and learn to eat intuitively instead. What bothers me is that I weighed 138 pounds (I’m in the U.S. lol) before and I’ve lost a few inches and now fit into a size 4 but the scale only went down a few pounds. Now I don’t always weigh myself because it is definitely toxic to my mind but I still am not at a size 2, which is my goal. I feel like I hit a plateau. I didn’t weigh too much at my before phase so I find this so odd. I have been on a caloric deficit of 1250-1300 for 6 months and non intentionally fast from 8pm to 12:30pm or 1pm the next day just because I do not like eating early breakfast or breakfast at all for the most part and do not have time to eat until lunch time due to work. So I need help, lol.
But how about if the plateau is when I’m already at 1400 cals per day and can’t go any lower as that’ll be unhealthy (I religiously calculate and weigh food daily and have been for months now) lost 8kg already but been stuck for the past month or so.
@@omgitsnishaaa yes! I was at 1400 cals and stuck at a plateau, I took 3 full days to not exercise, fully relax and reset to take stress off my metabolism and I also did 1 day at 2500-3000 calories and then the next day upped calories from 1400 by 10% and kept it at that onwards and the plateau was gone after a week!!!

I am glad to now platetau is normal because I am at a platetau I lost a 150 ponds an stick at platetau looking way to move past it
This is so crazyy! Haha I've never been so early!
But how about if the plateau is when I’m already at 1400 cals per day and can’t go any lower as that’ll be unhealthy (I religiously calculate and weigh food daily and have been for months now) lost 8kg already but been stuck for the past month or so.
Has anything worked?
@@omgitsnishaaa yes! I was at 1400 cals and stuck at a plateau, I took 3 full days to not exercise, fully relax and reset to take stress off my metabolism and I also did 1 day at 2500-3000 calories and then the next day upped calories from 1400 by 10% and kept it at that onwards and the plateau was gone after a week!!!
@@FruityLiana thank you, I’ll try that
