Wow!!!!Lucy....I love that where you say change the way you thinking where you compare yourself to when you were able to do a pull up... I'm starting over again, I enjured myself, took a few months off, gained a few pounds, but I want to be kind to myself and look at my journey differently. For starters, I'm still here and I can do this again. Thats a HUGE blessing.

I would say time frame is probably the hardest thing for me to wrap my head around as I've always struggled with impatience. I will also say i agree with your point on avoiding looking at the bigger picture, i find that doing this helps me to actually just enjoy the process and the integration of working out into my life on a consistent basis
I am glad you agree on the latter! Timeframes are tricky, I think my naivety about timeframes when I started was a real benefit but it's hard not to be exposed to it nowadays with socials I suppose it's just managing expectations. Set your expectations super realistic and you'll only surpass that 😁x

This was a really good video. All really good tips. I am just coming back to the gym after a slew of injuries with a year long pause. I tend to be really impacient so I have to remind myself to start easy so that I won't get injured again. Slow wins the race for now. So I'm just slowly adding more, making sure that my consistency stays.

Hi Lucy, I'll be attending the Women's warriors course in March. I think I heard in a previous video that you may be posting a routine to train for it somewhere? That would be so helpful to make sure we will be ready for it. I'd be interested to know what's in your hike pack too! Ah you are so sweet. I'm glad I found your channel! You are so right about all these points, they same things have really helped me to get back on track. Just community is really missing for me. I don't have anyone around me with the same goals and who cares about the same things as me, but oh well. Maybe that will change 🙂

Hi Lucy! Im 51 and I’ve been thinking about learning calisthenics, I’m fairly active so tried your full body intermediate workout. Do you recommend to stick with this 3x a week and make progress ? Thanks ❤
Hey, yay that's so exciting! Yes you could definitely stick with that, eventually if it becomes not challenging enough you will have to progress to something more difficult or progress the individual exercises though 😁 xx

I think what helps with being patient regarding results is to remember that progress is not linear but more like a curve where you have to put more work into it at the beginning and then once you've put in all that work changes suddenly start to happen.
Yes. I often remind myself of Lucy's video a while back, where she mentioned that results started to become apparent after about 6 weeks. Until then, you can feel a difference, but it's not really visible. Yet these invisible changes are crucial.

Oh yes totally!! It will always be up and down. As you say progress is never linear and that's part of it's beauty. One day we will all look back and realise it was the process part that was the sweetest! xxx

It is so hard for me to workout I have no dicipline so walks it is everything I can hold on to So I walk like 5000 steps a day (almost every day) and this is it
Wjen it comes to food I do better when eating meat paired with a large salad or roasted vegetables - always this combo works better than carbohydrates or cheese and eggs

Do you drink coffee? I like some cream and sugar in my coffee. Do you have a healthier alternative? I don’t like it black.
I do but nowadays I only drink decaf! If you need a healthier alternative (if you're referring to lower calories?) maybe try a dash of creamer and sweeteners?
Or you could just reduce the amount of sugar slowly, that's how I reduced mine! 😀
You could always mute and unmute people if you're not comfortable with the idea od unfollowing them.
