Mikey- I have been using a stitch similar to this for over 40 years and I don’t know the name of it. It’s very easy, but oooh so pretty.!It’s just - sc and dc into the same stitch, skip a stitch, sc and dc into same stitch, skip a stitch, ....... continue across. It makes a cute stitch a bit like c2c. Thanks in advance!!
This is a fabulous pattern for beginning crocheters like me! I just finished my first stroller blanket in this pattern last night, and I am so happy with it. It only took me a few nights using super bulky Bernat Baby yarn, while watching tv. I love how easy it is to track the stitches when using just a single and double crochet stitch.. Thank you Mikey, your explanations are the best.
Thank you Mikey for showing us this beautiful pattern. I've made many wonderful blankets with this pattern. Everyone loves them! Now I'd like to try a Rectangle Pebble Stitch Blanket by going around and around instead of back and forth. Can you do a video using the Pebble stitch going around as a rectangle?
The best on UA-cam is Creative Grandma.....this guy here I use to watch a long time ago he was much nicer, went slower and didn't talk so fast. He use to seem to enjoy what he was doing, but now seems to be in a big hurry to finish and stop the video. Don't like to watch him at all any longer.
You have some of the best tutorials. Guys don't let people give you crap for learning to crochet. My wife loves it, my honey do list is a mile long LOL.
Thank you for showing us this pattern. I have been crocheting for a long time but I have never made a blank. I am making this one for my sister-in-law. So four I love the way it’s turning out thank you again for showing us how to do this.
Cool! I don't have a project for this stitch right now, but sometimes I just like to watch your stitch videos and learn a new thing or two! Another tool in my toolbelt.
Haha! "Please don't email me..". Lol. Thanks. I am learning to crochet using your tutorials. They are the best on youtube! I will be using them for my 12 year old son to learn with. I think it should help him improve his fine motor skills! Thank you!
I is the stitch to make a blanket for my sister-in-law for Christmas turned out beautifully no I’m using the stitch to make a score for a little girl and what a pretty scarf it’s making
With you using a size H hook with Caron one pound I'm thinking that using a smaller and then recommended hook for the yarn creates more texture in the blanket using this pattern? I love this Stitch and made of baby blanket using it. Since the body of the blanket was only one color I wanted there to be some texture to make it comfy and give a visual interest. This Stitch Works beautifully! I just put a border of white tulips around the hot pink blanket body and then did my border in the same color as the blanket. This is so easy considering how much you get out of it! And my sides don't shrink or grow either as my blanket progresses. Thank you so much Mikey for everything you have taught us over the years!
Hi Mikey, I crochet. I haven't done it for a very long time. Decided to do it again. I love your video. I subscribed. I hope you are still making crochet videos. You are a very good teacher. Thank you for sharing this art.
I have a pattern similar to this. The chain is a multiple of 3 plus 1. And the three stitches used are single crochet, double crochet and triple crochet.
Mikey you are an absolutely wonderful teacher, you explain slowly so I can understand & I hope to learn a lot from your videos,& by the way my son who is now 44 is named Mikey too!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I learned how to crochet 45 years ago when I took Home Economics in 7th grade, I learned by being a pattern but for some reason I absolutely cannot read a pattern any longer, I can still read them and understand them but reading them and then crocheting them I cannot do! I have to have the visual input now, what can I do to get past that mental block???? BTW, this is one of my favorite patterns and it makes lovely blankets and scarves!!
Thank you for showing the slip stitch very slow!! Everyone else goes to fast and i (feeling so dumb) just couldn't get it...ended up doing it old fashioned way. Thank you! Love your video perfect for us beginners!
Do you always crochet through one patt of the v and the back loop on your chain? Chaining through just the v on my starting chain is my least favorite thing about crocheting. Does it not matter?? If not, you have just changed my whole experience!
I like this one!! I was trying to find a stitch I liked to use up some rolls of Bernat I have in my stash, to make my son a new afghan, but I think I actually like this stitch better with worsted weight & am going to try making a new throw blanket now!😊 Thanks for explaining this tutorial!
Thank you for your videos, they are very helpful. I have a request, can you make a video on the crochet clutch, i tried doing it but i think there is a mistake either in the diagram or the written pattern. Please, it would be very helpful
Mikey, I learned to crochet the foundation row like you; go into two loops then crochet your stitch. Whereas, many tutorials I have watched they only go into one loop in the foundation chain. Why? Does it make a difference other than number of loops to go thru when crocheting border?
The best on UA-cam is Creative Grandma.....this guy here I use to watch a long time ago he was much nicer, went slower and didn't talk so fast. He use to seem to enjoy what he was doing, but now seems to be in a big hurry to finish and stop the video. Don't like to watch him at all any longer.
I just watched another tutorial with the same stitch but it was called the Crinkle stitch.. I think I may have seen it called several more different names.. That's confusing when you're trying to learn many stitches. I think I'll just call it a simple pretty texture stitch. 😉
I saw another one of your tutorials just 2 days ago with this very same stitch and you called it the "lemon peel" stitch,, others call it the houndstooth, yet others call it the seed stitch. Wow, so many names for the very exact same stitch. Now its the " Pebble"? The question is why?
People name stitches in time and stitch concepts are believed to be new but something of the past. There are a few stitches that are known by two or more names but the same thing.
I noticed that you don’t go through the single loop of the chain on the foundation chains. When you go through, you go under two strings instead of just one like I normally see. I hope you understand what I mean. Is there a reason for this? I did notice that there are hump like loops on the backside of that row. Just wondering if there’s a specific reasoning for not going through the chain the way I usually see it. I hope I explained that to where you can understand. Thank you for your tutorials. You do a great job at teaching!
I made this same pattern for my best gf's baby blanket and it turned out stunning. Simple enough for everyday use but beautiful. The sample doesn't rewally do justice to the pattern as a blanket.
Based off of what I can see from the video, it looks like he might be using a 5 or a 6. I think this pattern would work with any kind of hook size honestly. I'm about to use a size 9 for a baby blanket.

Been using this Stitch for dishcloths, and plan to use it on my next preemie blanket.
I learned this as the Seed Stitch..and I love it
Please do more videos! You give the best lessons!! I became a better crocheter because of you.🤗
I just love your tutorials. You make it very easy by explaining it completely and going slow enough. You are wonderful!
I LOVE how even as a fairly novice crocheter you explain EVERY detail for those who don't know how to crochet...So easy to follow!!

Can't wait to use this pattern on the blanket I am making, I'm always trying to find something different! 🤗

Thank you. I’m going to make my next blanket with this pattern

Awesome tutorial. I’m doing mine with a chain of 18 so that I can use this pattern stitch for sections of 7x9 as needed by Warm Up America
Pretty stich. Great toutorial. Thanks

Very nice video. Thanks for the yarn threading tip
I have to keep forgging this. The stitch at the beginning seems to be the culprit
This my favourite stitch pattern!
Beautiful thank you for the steps simple. I’m a beginner. Thanks ❤️❤️
Glad it was helpful!
I'm definitely going to make this. I really like the pattern!!
Love how you make your slip knot
Going to make a little blanket for my cat now!
TheCosmicVagabond ?
May I ask what size you will crochet for your cat?
TheCosmicVagabond So cute!
@@lilianahorjea8183 . Mikey has a demo of the same stitch for cat blanket which I just made. It is 30x30 using caron 1lb.

Beautifully example thanks
Why does everyone make the slipknot so difficult
I've wondered that too.
LOL, I wonder that too. I just cross the end over into a little loop, stick my hook in the loop and grab the yarn and pull it through. Done.
Haha. No kidding. Makes me laugh every time!
Amy Davis, I do too. So simple
Exactly 😅
So glad you uploaded this :) . I've been looking for a good pattern for a throw to use up my yarn ends.
Thank you, Mikey. God Bless!
Thanks Mikey. Looks like the pattern I would love.
Like it .. thanks 😊👍
Great.

How do I get my chain even? When I come to do my foundation row I can’t find half the stitches, I try to keep the tension even?
Very helpful
Que bonito
Thanks.
Does it matter which direction to turn work as long as it's consistent?
Thank you! Nice, helpful video.
Yes !! Love this !! Next project !!

Great pattern.
Hey Moke
Have you ever heard of the lienen stitches for a blanket?
Can you do a videotape session on this stitches.
Thanks , DTullar of Severn, md.
He already has...
Ok so, are you using a 9 size hook or a 5 size hook?! And can I use a 10 size one?!
Based off of what I can see from the video, it looks like he might be using a 5 or a 6. I think this pattern would work with any kind of hook size honestly. I'm about to use a size 9 for a baby blanket.
Hi. What do I do with the chain one do i work into it at the end of row or do I ignore it. Thanks.
Isn’t this also called a griddle stitch?
😂😂you did right by stopping those questions on chains..
Wow I remember watching this many years ago. Lol oops maybe not lol

Can I use this pattern for bernat blanket yarn?
Deja Powell yes just use the hook the yarn you want to use recommends
Mikey sounds tired. Like he doesn't sound like his usual, chipper self.
slip knot is not rocket science... why do these people make it look so difficult
