Hi India, I have shoulder length slightly wavy hair and I am on a tight budget I don’t have any curly hair products so I am starting my collection from scratch so I was wondering if you could give me some incredibility cheap products my max budget for every product would be $35 so what products would you say are essential to get curls Kind regards Ellie P.S I really admire you and your hair
India I'm a 70 year old woman with alot of thin blonde (turning white) hair. The last few years have been tortuous washing and drying my hair. It's like I'm ripping it out. I started using some of your recommended products especially shea moisture. Who knew. I have major curly hair. I love it. Can't imagine how it will be when I follow more of the steps. Thank you India. It doesn't matter how old you are.
I’ll be trying a few of these tips too and I’m 38. I have straight hair that went wavy after my son was born. I have no idea what to do with it so I’ve treated it like my old straight hair for 16 years! Hopefully my curl resistant weirdly wavy hair cooperates!
Said no cherub curly girl ever...but india saying she's 2B and her cousin was already a min 2A makes it like what's the point. If I watched india's videos I'd never wear my hair naturally
Seriously! I just tried the CGM for the first time at the age of 32 and I feel so dumb for thinking I had relatively straight hair that was "just poofy and frizzy for some reason" 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
I LOVE the fact that your cousin explained how she used the products. Usually, UA-camrs explain everything for the newbie ... I really appreciated the change in focus! Plus your cousin is very good on camera.
It's so 🐝 bee.u.ti.ful! Lucky you! Two beautiful young ladies! I think my hair actually has some natural wave too. Never used to, but sometimes it kinks up on its own. Entirely hit or miss though
India is who pretty much taught me I have wavy/curly hair. I legit had no idea for almost 30 yrs of my life. My ends were always frizzy... it would never straighten or hold heat curls. It’s been a game changer. I still wash my hair every other day... sometimes daily but my hair is so much healthier.
That's just awesome! I've decided to try this out on my hair - what you describe sounds quite similar to my hair situation, so I wonder... plus is very encouraging to hear you wash your hair fairly often as I do aswell :) x
This gives me such hope for myown hair! When my hair is wet or damp, it has some nice waves and curls, but once it dries, the curls just fall out and it looks almost straight (especially on my front face-framin pieces). This has baffled me for a long time because I don't brush my hair (just finger combing in the shower) or use any kind of heat on it (just let it air dry). I have wanted to try some products to help keep the texture of my waves in, but whenever I go to stores or research products I get easily overwhelmed and end up not getting anything. After watching India's video about Not Your Mothers Hair Styling products, I have tried the Not Your Mother's Leave-in Conditioner, and I notice a difference in my hair! And now seeing this video with more defined results, I can't wait to get my hands on more of this brand's products! Thank you for sharing!
for me its kinda the opposite. my hair out of the shower is mostly straight (but still slight waves) but when it air dries without me doing absolutely anything to it, its wavy and frizzy???? im definitely gonna try a curly girl method.
Same! I’m also mixed and some of my cousins have curly hair...my aunts have thick frizzy wavy hair but no one ever taught me how to do this...it’s been like that since I was a kid. Now it just falls flat when it was super wavy when wet...some even do this spiral thing idk

Love this! This is literally my hair! I finally figured out a year ago that I had beach wave hair. I've been on a journey ever since to improve the health of my hair, and accept its natural pattern
I just want to say that I tried what she describes here, with different products from the suggested ones, and it seems I'm just been at the hair salon. My hair are curly and on point with very small effort (and less product than suggested). Thanks India, you saved my hair. Considering I'm been disappointed with them for the past 4 years due to pre-menopause I think this is a small miracle.
I used to always brush my hair and blow dry it straight, then I was surprised that it went "poof" when the slightest bit of humidity hit. I always thought it was straight. Then I discovered the curly girl method in my thirties. I don't use the entire method, because I have a finicky scalp, just the LOC/LCO method and of course I do not dry brush. It was such a revelation for me. I am almost 48 right now and am still enjoying my naturally wavy/curly hair. You guys did awesome! She looks amazing. I think she should keep it up! I never do a cold rinse, though (doesn't make a difference for me). :)

When my hair is wet it is wavy but when it dries it is basically straight😩 so you recommend any products that I can use that won’t cost a lot? Also do I have to have a diffuser??
I also have wavy hair, so I'm going to tell you what i did when my hair was longer. 🙃 Your hair needs to be soaking wet when you rinse out shampoo and conditioner, then put some (depending on your hair lenght and density) leave-in conditioner and scrunch your hair.. After that put a descent amout of gel and scrunch it again.. Take a t-shirt scrunch some more, so that it's not dripping anymore.. Then start diffusing your hair, it doesnt have to be cold air, medium is okay and medium speed. It is VERY IMPORTANT not to touch your hair anymore while it's drying. I'll link you a great diffusing video below. I hope I helped you a little. Good luck. 🤗
Haha. "I didn't know your hair was supposed to eat." Logan is a character. And your reaction to her saying her hair is curly in Spanish made my heart smile. 😊 By the way, have you decided if are you keeping the pup?
I am so curious to try hair products traditionally for curly hair now... my hair looks almost exactly like hers did in the beginning -- sorta kinda slightly wavy, but not truly Wavy or Curly. What makes me think that this might work is that I've got the strangest thing going on with my hair... the front bits, just around my temples, actually *curl* on their own?! Like, the rest of my hair is this funky half-wave-mostly-straight, and then I've got light little actual ringlets right at my temples. I don't know why they're there at all LOL. But maybe they're a sign that if I do my hair right, it might give me MORE curl?? Update: WTF IT WORKED. Turns out my hair has big, soft, natural waves!! More like 2A-2B than 1B!
Omgg that's my hair too! I always kept searching for stuff to help get rid of the waves at the end of my hair before but now i realized it's 2a or 2b instead of 1b or 1c!
I use turbine towel! WET brush, waist length hair and NO heat tools. I hold my head over upside down brush my hair gentle& gentle scrunch my long wet hair, and AIR DRY NATURALLY. I sometimes put my hair in 2 side braids to sleep! I use Luke warm water in shower..
Thank you for your service as a nurse, Logan. Thank you ladies, for this video. Excellent information and you both are beautiful! kisses to Muchi xoxo Blessings.~
Her hair looks fantastic! Also, I love how spending time with your cousin your accent comes out lol. I'm from Mississippi and live in Colorado, I bring everyone's southern-ness out! 🤣
This is the most helpful video I have ever watched. I’ve always had natural very wavy hair and I have been wanting to get into the curly girl method but had no clue where to start. THANK YOU 💖
i’ve never been this early before! I love your channel india!! I have learned so much from you. I started my curly hair journey last year and you were the first person to teach me about curly hair! thank you!! ❤️
WELCOME TO THE EARLY SQUAD 😻😻💛 awwwwww thank you for the love and support angel !!!!! XOXO love that you learned to embrace your curls, they are beautiful
This method really worked for me!! I have struggled to find something that worked for my wavy hair... everything seems to just weigh it down. But I tried this today and my hair is soft, shiny and I have bouncy waves!! Thank you! 😁
This video is so encouraging!! I literally have the same hair situation just more oily (takes forever to dry) always have those “awkward waves” and lots of frizz and no shine. I’m totally trying these products! I love that Logan said it was easy bc that’s what I’ve been afraid of with hair care is the skill. Thank you!!😊
Awwww, her hair looks super cute and amazing! Good job teaching her, India! Also you guys are super gorgeous and look-alike...you can definitely pass as sisters!
Highly porous hair does NOT dry quickly! Idk if that was a slip but just so everyone knows, non porous hair will dry fast. Hair that is porous is like a sponge and retains a lot of water. So you'll need more protein vs moisture.
hi Mary (: I’m not sure if you have highly porous hair or not. But it does in fact air dry quickly. it takes on water like a sponge but once it’s out of the water, it dries quickly too. Trying googling if highly porous hair dries quickly (:
@@indiabatson26 High Porosity Hair Characteristics Hair easily and quickly absorbs water because it’s so highly porous. Hair takes a long time to dry. Often taking hours, or even a day or so if drying naturally. This is straight from the CG website, baby girl. As you see, high porosity hair takes a very long time to dry naturally. Like I said, I studied this professionally. I know what I'm talking about from the scientific POV. It looks like you need to research a little more.
@@indiabatson26 and yes I do have high porosity hair and a lot of it and it takes over a day to dry, naturally. If I try heat, I can get it to 70% dry in about 20 minutes.
The personality, I love it. It's sweet, spicy and just outgoing and fun. ❤ Thanks for this. I was never taught how to take care of my hair and now I know.
This was so helpful! My hair is very similar to your cousin's, my waves are a lot like hers and also highlighted. I've had that Playa spray in my favorites for months and you've sold me on it lmao
My moms hair is rlly wavy/curly and when my hairs wet it have waves but dries straight!! I’m gonna try scrunching and stuff to see if I have wavy hair! Btw my mom had super straight hair JUST like mine when she was a kid so💅🏻
Technically the science is that when her hair locks is is drier and there is less moisture which is why it’s softer and when you don’t loose water in your hair the cuticle is open more and it becomes dry to the touch but and it’s not technically dry it’s holding in moisture which causes frizz breakage and dry feeling.
I have curly/wavy hair and I was wondering what you do with your hair at night to keep it looking nice the next day? My hair is always a mess the next day with no definition left!
Hey, don’t know if you’ve figured this one out yet, if you’ve found something let me know! I have curly/wavy hair and in order to have a second day without spritzing with water and finger combing (which just never looks super great) or shampooing again which dries you out... I carefully scrunch pile my hair into a hair wrap/towel and sleep like that. I already mostly sleep on my back but I’m not fully trained for that so sometimes it falls out. And I haven’t gotten a good silk lined hair wrap-those are the best for sleeping. Otherwise, if I have the time, I will just take each little curl and twist it up into a pin curl around my finger in a loop and pin it to my head and then I just sleep like that. I do have a silk pillowcase so it won’t snag
I grew up with strait hair, im talking so strait i went months one year in my childhood without brushing and it never knotted. My kiddo however has the loose curls that run in the family. And i had no idea what i was doing. Thank you so much for posting this video, my mother never shown me how those with the curly hair in our family work on their hair and the family members i asked it just felt like so much info spat at me at once i didnt know what i was doing. This video will help so much.
How do you style this for day two? I did it the other day, and it was beautiful! The next day when I woke up, my hair was straight again and super stringy from products. Help, please! 😂
Thank you. Because of you guys I now have beautiful wavy hair, but I have questions. Do you ever shampoo the ends? Doesn't the products buildup? Would you use a clarifying shampoo? How often?
Once a hairdresser told me that you first need to use a shampoo, then a mask and at the end a conditioner to close the hair structure. Why do you use the conditioner first and after that the mask? Im confused. Everyone has their own rules as it seems.
My hair is wavy/curly after I shower when it is still wet, but as it dries it loses most of the definition and just gets frizzy and fluffy. The days following it gets less frizzy, but also becomes almost straight. Any advice?
That's pretty much how mine is. I've tried the sleeping turban, and that helps, but I have to wear my hair up for work, so I think that works against me, too.
Same here. Wavy\curly(more wavy though) while wet and some weird in-between wavy&straight with a random half curl here and there once it dries(I mostly let it air dry these days)...and the frizz 😫.
Is it better to curl your hair after doing this or straighten it first? I’ve seen ppl say straightening first makes it easier to deal with, but I would think after doing all this in the video, it’d probably help keep shape in it
My hair is the same as Logan’s and I love how her after turned out but the question I have is with the gel is her hair crunchy from that or is it soft like natural hair ? Thanks 🦋
My hair is literally identical to hers. 2B ish. I learned so much here. Thanks! Do you recommend using oils at all? I've found that Bumble & Bumble Invisible primer plus the invisible oil makes my hair super soft! But unfortunately I think these products weigh my hair down. 🥺
Please could you do a trying UK curly products with stuff like frizz ease, umberto giannini and other products we have at boots (our drugstore). its so so hard to find brands like deavcurl and not your mothers without paying loads in postage! Love your channel so much, you saved my curly hair!
idk what happened but during my sophmore year of high school I had 3a curls and then one day it just wasn't curly and became extremely oily from applying moisturizing products. I just stopped putting styling products in but it still was disgusting. So I eventually changed shampoos and no longer use products for curly hair. But my hair is still quie wavy, but its always frizzy. I don't know what it's doing anymore.
The science behind using cold water is to smooth the hair cuticle. Cold water makes your hair softer because of this. But this video is very helpful for me, who just learned about the "curly girl method"! Thanks for sharing.
Wow Logan your hair is amazing! I have a slight wave in my hair but can never find a product that actually holds my waves, most things just make my hair oily 😞 I’m still on the hunt!
@@caydence5108 sort of, the tresemme day 2 wave spray is quite good! But it puts waves in not keeps the ones you already have. I might have to accept if I want my natural waves to stay I’ll have to go crispy haha
Logan, thanks for all you've done. To health care professionals around the globe, you're amazing and your dedication and selflessness over the last year have kept the world running.
Just tried this last night, minus the mask because the instructions weren't very clear on the mask. Sad to say my hair is still straight but frizzy now. Never had frizz before until doing this method. Ps the conditioner smells really bad or is it just me.
So my hair recently started curling naturally again and I’m trying to get my curls to come out finally I’m a natural red head so my hair texture is very different and this video helped me so much!

The method in which you diffuse is absolutely correct!!! New subscriber here. Great video.
The after is insane!!! The waves /curls look so pretty on her 🤗
Right ?!??? So amazing 😻😻😻💛
Her hair looks fantastic! Also, I love how spending time with your cousin your accent comes out lol. I'm from Mississippi and live in Colorado, I bring everyone's southern-ness out! 🤣
You’re both so adorable! “ My entire life has been a lie”......LOL!!!!
LOL she is the best 😂😂😂💛💛💛💛💛
I literally have been doing the same routine as your cousin!! I’m trying to embrace the waves so thank you both!! Cant wait to try this
Yemen 💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
This is the most helpful video I have ever watched. I’ve always had natural very wavy hair and I have been wanting to get into the curly girl method but had no clue where to start. THANK YOU 💖
Awwwww I’m so happy you found it helpful !! That makes me so happy (:
Love the results and it definitely looks thicker and healthier 😍
Looks fab! Reminds me of my hair type. I bet if she sticks with it, the girl will continue to improve.
"We're already seeing improvement" I love her!!
You both are so cute! her hair turned out amazing!
It turned out so pretty right ?!?!? She rocked out 😻💛💛💛💛💛
Your eyes are so blue! They’re gorgeous!
i’ve never been this early before!
Thank you! 😁
My goodness Logan is both hilarious and adorable! Love her!!
Thank you!!😊
I had the same experience with not knowing that my hair was curly but it's the BEST THING EVA. You're both beautiful xxxx ❤️❤️
@@indiabatson26 High Porosity Hair Characteristics
Hair easily and quickly absorbs water because it’s so highly porous.
Turned out so nice ! 🤍💜
The personality, I love it. It's sweet, spicy and just outgoing and fun. ❤ Thanks for this. I was never taught how to take care of my hair and now I know.
WOW! Her hair is gorgeous!!
Oh my gosh! Your blue eyes are STUNNING!
This was so helpful! My hair is very similar to your cousin's, my waves are a lot like hers and also highlighted. I've had that Playa spray in my favorites for months and you've sold me on it lmao
i'm so glad you love the spray too!!! I LOVE IT !! one of my favs !! & the smell is amazing to top it off lol
Y’all are too great! HIGHLY entertaining 😂❤️
We honestly had the best time making this video together! We’ve been trying to get our schedules to work for a while to film this together 😻😻
I do have a silk pillowcase so it won’t snag
you just make me so happy india!! your such a bright light and i love you to pieces!!💛
They are so naturally beautiful 😍😍 her friend does not even wear make up and she is gorgeous
How do you style this for day two? I did it the other day, and it was beautiful! The next day when I woke up, my hair was straight again and super stringy from products. Help, please! 😂
My hair looks exactly like hers before the treatment. I’m going to go curly!
Beautiful hair,earrings and makeup
Awww you are so sweet 🥰
I enjoyed watching this video! Ok, that you can do your own hair- but how fantabulous that you can transform someone else’s! MAGICAL
Thank you. Because of you guys I now have beautiful wavy hair, but I have questions. Do you ever shampoo the ends? Doesn't the products buildup? Would you use a clarifying shampoo? How often?
logan is sooo pretty!!
That’s my hair. My problem is that my curl falls out so easily if it’s not left crunchy. What products can you all recommend?
why do you dislike crunch? many people use a crunch and squeeze it out or leave it to break on its own and all is good :)
The amount of times that the cousin says “I had no idea” is so wholesome, I love her
Once a hairdresser told me that you first need to use a shampoo, then a mask and at the end a conditioner to close the hair structure. Why do you use the conditioner first and after that the mask? Im confused. Everyone has their own rules as it seems.
I needed this video! Shout out to both of you❣️
Looks great! Do you use a hair mask every time or just once a week? And can you add hair spray at end, and if so, which one?
My hair is wavy/curly after I shower when it is still wet, but as it dries it loses most of the definition and just gets frizzy and fluffy. The days following it gets less frizzy, but also becomes almost straight. Any advice?
That's pretty much how mine is. I've tried the sleeping turban, and that helps, but I have to wear my hair up for work, so I think that works against me, too.
Same here. Wavy\curly(more wavy though) while wet and some weird in-between wavy&straight with a random half curl here and there once it dries(I mostly let it air dry these days)...and the frizz 😫.
Love the Curley hair!!!!
Doesn’t it make her hair look even thicker?!?!
Thanks 🦋
Omg that dog is the cutest thing ive ever seen! 🐾💕🐾💕🐾
My hair is literally identical to hers. 2B ish. I learned so much here. Thanks! Do you recommend using oils at all? I've found that Bumble & Bumble Invisible primer plus the invisible oil makes my hair super soft! But unfortunately I think these products weigh my hair down. 🥺
I am a curly girl and I followed along with these tips today just to try something new and my hair looks phenomenal
That's so pretty !!
Yayyyyyy we had so much fun making this 😻😻😻 shes never seen her hair like this 😻
Yess livin for mochi! Love ya💕
he loves Logan more than me LOL😂
@@indiabatson26 She is the dog whisperer!
which hair dryer/diffuser combo is this??? trying to find something that works for my super thin wavy hair.
Please could you do a trying UK curly products with stuff like frizz ease, umberto giannini and other products we have at boots (our drugstore). its so so hard to find brands like deavcurl and not your mothers without paying loads in postage! Love your channel so much, you saved my curly hair!
Yes, please! :)
idk what happened but during my sophmore year of high school I had 3a curls and then one day it just wasn't curly and became extremely oily from applying moisturizing products.
I have started taking very cold showers and have noticed my hair looks super shiny, never made the connection.
Wow Logan your hair is amazing! I have a slight wave in my hair but can never find a product that actually holds my waves, most things just make my hair oily 😞 I’m still on the hunt!
Have you found anything yet?
@@caydence5108 sort of, the tresemme day 2 wave spray is quite good! But it puts waves in not keeps the ones you already have. I might have to accept if I want my natural waves to stay I’ll have to go crispy haha
@@katherinemary3256 haha
Logan, thanks for all you've done. To health care professionals around the globe, you're amazing and your dedication and selflessness over the last year have kept the world running.
Oh wait! Where is the product list? I want to try those!
i just linked everything in the description box XOXOX
IndiaBatson thank you India! You’re awesome....
Hi India! Are these the products that you use normally as well? Or do you have different favs? Thanks💞
After you diffuse do you use any products to break up the gel cast? Or just use dry hands to scrunch?
we didn’t use any products, I just scrunched the cast out ! It’s a very light gel, so it doesn’t need anything else (:
I am confused I seen some use hair mask all over hair is that wrong or only conditioner not supose to put on the roots?
Just tried this last night, minus the mask because the instructions weren't very clear on the mask.
Sad to say my hair is still straight but frizzy now. Never had frizz before until doing this method. Ps the conditioner smells really bad or is it just me.
My hair looks exactly like her before 😮 I need to try this
So my hair recently started curling naturally again and I’m trying to get my curls to come out finally I’m a natural red head so my hair texture is very different and this video helped me so much!
How often are you suppose to do the hair mask, and what happens if you just let your hair air dry?
you both have lovely personalities ❤️
Awwww we had so much fun making this video! (: she is the closest thing I have to a sister🥰
