"don't let anyone tell you what to buy, except if they pay me to do a video trying to sell it to you." I thought this was gonna be an honest video of a collection of different products, but well, I should have picked up on the ad video at the beginning when she mentions a brand sponsored a "SMALL" part of her video.
I don't know, she did say several times in the video that ea. person's hair type was different & one may NOT need/want to use the same products as she does. She even says at the end to use the sponsored products OR don't even buy them at all!
I’ve been watching your channel for a long time. Your one of the only curly hair “influencers” I still watch. Thanks for making this video. The curly girl method was too much for a mom of two little boys lol. I can manage my hair a lot better but I don’t really care as much if it is perfect. It takes too much of my time, I’d rather go out and live life.
Definitely too much. I tried so many different conditioners and my hair was always greasy. I gave up after a year. I still use gel, hair turbin/old t-shirt and STC but shampoo also. It's fine!
First of all, I appreciate how you make sure the opinions in this video are your own and don't apply to everyone!! With that said, I still agree with everything you said. About 5 months ago I started giving away everything that was too much for me and I simplified my hair routine. I'm so happy to see others feel the same way!
I'm all about the Less is More, minimizing hair care approach, so you had me sold on trying the regular 10-in-1 primer... then I checked out the ingredients. No major allergens for me - UNTIL I checked out their "fragrance" ingredients list. I'd LOVE if hair care products all had a Zero Fragrance option, I really would!
It's to mask the chemical smells. It probably smells kinda bad "raw" or unscented. Although I agree some products definitely go overboard with the fragrance. Not to mention if every single product has a strong scent and you're layering everything it can get overwhelming. The struggle is real
@@natv.2375 I've made some of my own products, like lotions. Yes, things like shea butter are strong scents. But there's a difference between neutralizing smells - which can be done to create the fragrance free products many of us own - and adding every floral/musk/etc scent many of us are allergic to.
Is their fragrance super strong? I find some fragranced products (Hairitage specifically) make my scalp super itchy, but have been eyeballing the 10 in 1 primer by Eva NYC.
We clearly do not have the same hair texture at all. I’m type 4 and I only use a shampoo and a curling cream no tools at all. This works for me and I’m lazy but I have started back washing my hair once a week and my hair loves even though I love washing it every two weeks. When it comes to hair, you really got to find what works for you.
I love this! Thank you! I'm embracing my curly waves after a lifetime of trying to fight them. The curly method was overwhelming. I appreciate your realness and that you embrace your mop even when its not perfect 💜
Since I've started this journey, over 2 1/2 years ago, I finally got to know my hair & what works for my hair. I used to think that my hair needed it all (leave-in, curl cream, curl enhancing gel, mousse and a hard hold gel. Now I know KISS (Keep it simple sis). I, too, don't like brush styling bc it takes too long. If I do, I do a quick one.
I would love to see a more detailed diffuser video and also a deep dive into what products your mom uses! I think I have hair like hers and would love to see her curl routine!
I appreciate the fact that you include the wavy/ curly/ coily guys. As a guy with type 2 b/c low porosity hair, it makes me feel more included. Might sound a little silly, but thank you! Reminds me of when someone once asked how I got my hair this way and I said “The good Lord just blessed me with this hair, I guess.” This individual was shocked that a guy had natural wavy hair and it wasn’t a perm or anything. So thank you, Mrs. India, for the inclusiveness :).
Thank you for talking about diffusers. I’ve been looking for a dupe. The price for the Dyson is absolutely ridiculous and I hate that most curl influencers don’t use something more realistic for people who can’t afford that. Like… $400? Absolutely not.
At the end of the day it’s a great blow dryer but it’s not going to be in most people’s budget. So I think it’s important to discuss high end, mid range and budget. So everyone can find what works for them !!!!!! 🎉❤
I bought xiaomi soocas h5 that costs like 1/10 of that and I'm so happy with it. Can't imagine what a 400$ blow dryer can do better to justify the price
Shampoo Conditioner Spray leave in conditioner (as this is light ) Salt spray All done, huge thick head of curls that are defined and held for days LESS IS MORE
I have a mixture of 3a and 2c curls. Thick and thin hair mixture. Lots of volume and density. I used to straighten my hair in the '90s... I love my natural hair now. While wash-off conditioners make my hair extra soft, it also kills my curls, making them flattish in just 24 hours (I have tried all high-street products for curly hair, Cantu, and Kerastase too ... none worked for me). And I hate saturating my hair with gel etc to hold my curls. I also have dry hair so don't need to wash every day. So, I end up with gorgeous hair on day 1 and clean but meh hair the rest of the week. I resigned myself to this... I also have tried the DIY "natural curly hair products". Which gave me the worse dandruff. So I gave it up. Shampoo and a multi-spray (detangler/UV/heat) protector are all I use these days. My hair feels soft, looks healthy, and yes, it has some frizz but I live in a humid country... so I guess this is normal. When it comes to heat styling. I rarely use anything to style, if it's cold outside and need to dry my hair, I use my hair drier on the lowest heat setting with a diffuser. Dry my roots and neck area mostly and leave the ends to dry naturally. I used to have a regular hair drier, then got a Dyson two years ago. It makes no difference to my hair health, don't waste your money on a fancy Dyson unless you have plenty to spare. The only improvement is on the noise, the Dyson is quieter and it can blast heat faster if required. If I am feeling fancy I use medium-hold curling mousse, which doesn't feel crunchy when it dries and holds my curls for a couple of days. Honestly, I agree, we don't need complicated hair routines for our lovely curly mane!
I have low porosity, high density, fine hair. I have waves/curls. Really elongated curls, even if my hair is short. I used to used to use lots of things but I found my holy grail conditioner that takes care of it all. It is a conditioner bar from etsy. It's argan oil and shea butter based. I don't wash it all out and it takes care of my hair. Now I get less hold beause I am not using a styler, but my hair is also mid thigh length soooooo I don't expect a lot of hold anyway. I am on a journey to see how long my hair will grow. I still actually have the curl, I just lack volume because of the length and because I no longer cut layers in because my ends were looking thin and with length I want the thickness throughout. It is more impressive to have a thick braid lol. If anyone wants a link to the conditioner bar I can link it. I just don't want peopel to think I am sponsored or something, I just really love their product. For shampoo I use whatever and I need sulfates due to my scalp psoriasis. I did use lush shampoo bars before I had to use medicated shampoos.
Cowash works great for me cause I go swimming everyday. Although I wet my hair and apply jojoba oil, before wearing a swim cap; but washing my curls with a shampoo everyday is a bit too much. That's where cowash comes in handy. I wash my hair twice a week.
i started following you last year when i went i my wavy/curly hair journey. and i’ve become so confident in my natural hair i prefer it over heat styling and also appreciate your humble personality. i always feel like we’re best friends watching your content!💜
I just want to say that ever since you started the book club watching your videos feels all the more like hanging with a bestie! The communities you have built are amazing and I am so grateful for them. ❤❤❤❤
Love that you promote easy hair care 💕 Do you have recommendations of products to help wavy / curly hair stay hydrated / non frizzy when hair is air dried? Thank you! Jess
I tried the cgm and it NEVER worked! I got tired of having bad hair so I was happy to see all this “deinfluencer” stuff happen. I have curly hair and I’ve always loved it but I felt like a failure when the cgm wasn’t working. So yeah, spread the news other stuff works too! I got too caught up thinking this is the only thing I should do and it’s not working!
Good one India! I have approx. 3C hair and a super minimal hair routine. I do vintage and vintage inspired hairstyles, so I use a Denman brush for those since that's what they often used in that era. It's great for that.
Hey, thanks for the video ❤ I use the Denman brush for styling (apply tension while coming through a small section in a 90-degree angle). It works great 👍🏼and is very quick
I did not like using the Denman brush. I tried several different brush styling methods, but I found it made my curls stringier even if my hair was soaking wet. I brush style with my wet brush now and I find that my hair clumps way better
When I can't buy a leave in for whatever reason, I usually just get a tiny bit of conditioner or a mask, and I mix it with water until it's very diluted down and I just spray that all over and scrunch. While it's not the best, it works when I don't have anything else. I just pay attention to clarifying my hair so there isn't any build up.
Argh , I'm new to curly hair . I had really short hair for most of my life and was asked all the time where our daughter got her curly red hair. I decided to finally grow out my hair in my 40s. But now i have to deal with a full head of wavy grey hair. Trying to figure out how get volume and deal with my wiry, wavy grey hair?
I’ve been using the curly girl method for 10 years. One thing I went through with co-washing with conditioner is losing a lot of hair. I think it was the cowashing, but it could also be going through some years of hormone changes. I no longer co wash and I lose very little hair. Also I just broke down and bought a den man brush after not using a brush all this time. I don’t really like the results, my hair seems to be really puffy using it which I definitely don’t like. I appreciate India’s comments on it and yes, I also spend little time styling so I may have wasted the money on the brush (I have coarse, dry, thick hair, maybe 3b)
So many of the reviews for the 10 in 1 for fine hair says it’s horribly greasy and that there seems to be a major defect with the spray nozzle. So many influencers have been promoting this (paid promotion) and it makes me want to try it but then I read rows and rows of recent reviews from users saying they too were influenced to buy it and are now severely disappointed. Any other folks here notice the same thing but have success stories with the fine version of the 10 in 1? 😭🙏
India your hair videos are what I look forward to on UA-cam most these days . I only watch hair and skin videos . These types of videos are my fav as well as your TMI girl talk videos ❤ .
I love a simple hair routine because I don't have time every wash day to go hard with a million products and dry my hair. I go to a curly hair salon and they tought me some simple methods and my hair has never been better and I need less products. After I shampoo, I put in conditioner, add water, squish to condition, add some more and squish to condition, and then I rinse but I leave like 10% of the condition in my hair to act as my leave in conditioner, and then I either add a mouse or just my gel or both my mouse and gel, and I'm good to go. I diffuse and my hair is the nicest it's ever been. So now, I have like 10 products I don't need anymore, and I do use them from time to time but I won't be repurchasing so many once they are gone because my life is simplified and so much better now.
I have been looking to simplify my own routine. There are things I bought starting out that I won't be repurchasing once I use them up. Not because they are bad but because my hair doesn't really need them.
thanks, I'll have to try the Eva NYC primer for fine hair. My one product I can't live without is the TIGI Catwalk Curls Rock Amplifier. Perfect for my fine wavy hair.
CGM has been found to cause hair loss. It doesn't have to, but IF you use a lot of heavy oils and butters (too heavy for your hair type), and DONT clarify routinely then it'll clog the hair follicles (causes hair loss), and weigh down your hair. CGM can work if you use the right products for your hair type (ie if you're a wavy, or have fine curly hair, using lightweight products with lighter oils like argan or sunflower). Or if you clarify periodically
I recommend: Bumble and Bumble Shamooo and condition in the YELLOW color. Than their defining curl cream. I do not apply heat to my hair on the regular. I do highlight. Defusing my hair with those things on it to dry make it look pretty amazing but I typically just dry natural. If I get a "birds nest" I will brush the under side out and use DEVINE OI OIL. Mine looked like yours when I was younger but older now its a bit thinner so when it air dries its not as "full" looking but I just focus on nice defined curls that are super soft. I can't stand gel or moose and never could. I basically try to only brush wet and use a target purchased wet brush or I finger comb. Once I brush and put stuff in and crunch, I don't touch it again unless it's knotting, which is the oil I pop in in a pinch. If I go into super humid conditions it can go crazy, but I don't fight it. I just go with it or put it up. My hair is fine, but thick loads of hair and loads of curls and it takes a while to air dry. When I use other brands of shampoo/conditioner I seem to have more hair loss so nothing will get me away from bumble. I used redkin when I was younger.
Oh, thank God! Someone whose hair is the exact texture of my daughter’s hair. She is biracial and got her dad’s 2c / 3a curls. It beautiful. I, however, have type 4 multitextured hair that is in locs, sooo. 😂 Needless to say, I’m learning as I go. My daughter is 6 now, so I’ve learned a thing or two, but am still looking for more tips and tricks since she’s getting bigger and her hair’s getting longer. Lemme go watch now and take in all this information. 😊 Side note: My daughter has high-density, low-porosity, fine hair. My hair is high-density, low-porosity, coarse hair. Both of our hair is multitextured, so I find it beautiful how, despite her inheriting her dad’s curl pattern & fine-ness, her hair responds to products and the environment like mine. (I just love that about how unique my daughter is, yet how similar she is to both of us! 😆❤)
I love my Denman brush, it saves me a good 20 minutes on my curly hair styling! You don't have to swirl each curl, Manes by Mell has a great and easy tutorial.
Long time viewer! I feel like everybody is going back to straight hair but personally that’s too time consuming for me! Love that you made sure to preface everything as your own opinion and that there are different hair types even within the curly community!
Girl! You educated me sooo much! I’ve been trying to figure out my hair type for a long time. Like Conditioner does way my hair down, and I now know my hair is actually medium. So wow thanks girly!
I'm not spending money, so I have a curl friendly shampoo, a thick detangling conditioner and a african hair goop. to save money I also have a giant bottle of cheap shampoo for the first wash. I leave in, non leave in conditioner because my hair loves products. The more stuff that's in there the easier it is to detangle. My detangling brush is also great for running through the hair with all the goop to help against frizz, then dry naturally. And I will get curls, barely spending money as i also buy the shampoo and conditioner with offers.
Thanks for the fine hair product rec. I have high porosity, medium thick 2a Asian hair. And I hate too much hair stuff on my hair; I hate crunchy gel; I hate the way it\\too much hair stuff feels and smells. So I appreciate the judicious approach to hair care.
I have just started my wavy hair journey. Thanks to my grey hair. I had shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner/detangler, heat protectant, and maybe hair oil. Now I'm also using a curl cream, a gel, and mousse. I'm struggling with frizz. I'm not sure if it's not enough moisture, not enough product, whatever technique I'm trying to attempt, or just haven't found the right products yet. Of course I'm on a budget. So I have a list for what to buy next when I'm running low on something.
I agree about the Denman brush. I actually prefer my hair to be slightly frizzy/unkempt. My hair tends to go lioness (my preference) when I don't mess with it too much.
I use a few more things than your list, like sometimes I use a leave in instead of conditioner, I also sometimes use a mousse or a spray styler, and a deep conditioner, but I use 4 products on most shower days and another midweek for refreshing. Hope to get the shark dryer soon, and a couple t-shirt towels, but I'm ok for now. Pretty much have all the tools I need. I just use my denman in the shower to align and smooth the strands, and lift the hairs on the top of my scalp for volume which creates curl formation closer to my the scalp. I don't do the curling or anything like that. I quit buying products and am working to reduce what I do have. I did go back to shampoos though. Tired of the hair loss, but that could also be age too.
I had a Dyson and sold it. The xtava diffuser attachment was simply better for definition for my 2A-2C hair. I use it with the conair infinitipro mini, which is easier to pack.
Love your hair! I struggle with having my hair weighed down by to many products but have learned by using some of the curly girl method and from watching your videos over the years that sometimes less is more. Thank you for sharing your hair experience! I have used the Eva NYC 10 in 1 and my waves are more defined and are not frizzie 🐱💞 I also rece try got the Maui moisture flaxseed shampoo that you had mentioned in a previous video and im excited to try that once my other shampoo is gone. Have you ever thought about using the Garnier fructis pure clean 10 in 1 style leave in cream? Iv been using it for a while and I love it! I just thought maybe it would work for you as well seeeing as we have similar hair texture! Hope you have a great weekend! 🐱💞
I use the cheapy cheap end of diffuser. I use the Bedhead Curls in Place. People have actually gotten their hair stuck in it (I just felt ethically that I had to warn people if I'm gonna mention it on a public forum), but I just hover diffuse so it's never actually touching my head
with low porosity hair i need to clarify weekly. i use a scalp massager to shampoo my scalp. I use only protein free products. I have a clarifying shampoo, and shea moistures deep moisturizung shampoo. their deep moisturizing line is their only protein free product. i dont use the conditioner, I tried it and it was too thick, causing buildup. I use mielle protein free conditioner. and I style and air dry with just a $2 protein free gel containing argan oil that I found at a local beauty supply store. cream would cause waaaay too much buildup. when I deep condition I use a heated cap and my reguler conditioner. I dont own a brush, only a comb. my hair is very healthy. theres a bit of frizz but thats natural and not a sign of dryness. i dont have any split ends or breakage. the slight bit of frizz is worth it for the volume i get. and i dont care to spend hours on my hair
Hair HATES water, which means that it hates HYDRATION! People needs to know that... Hair is mainly protein, so we don't have to use conditioners or mask so much unless we need certain ingredients, not even do STC or such things... wavy hair tends to lose it's pattern with all this
Your hair is fabulous ❤. I have learned that less is more as well. Just a leave in conditioner and some ha ir oil is all I need. Saves money, too. Love your videos, such a bubbly personality, too❤😊
Such a shame I can’t use your discount code India because I’m in the UK 😢would love some recommendations of curly hair products that can be purchased internationally xx
I have curly wavy fine hair . I have tried several products and find the more I use the less curly and voluminous. I don’t like a cast on my hair seems to weigh everything down and my curls don’t seem to form the way I want. I was listening to so many videos about curly hair but not listening to my own hair. Less is best for me . I have a denman brush but right now my hair is too short but am growing it out. This all makes slot of sense. It’s not one size fits all
Funny how all the curly hair influencers are posting the exact same video and saying don't brush your hair, or you don't need a denmand brush when they used to rave about it, you guys are the reason why I spend so much money in different types of brushes and now you're saying we don't need it, is this the new trendy video of all the curly hair influencers to stay revelant???
I also think less is more. I only use a shampoo according to the curly hair method, a conditioner, sometimes a mask, a home made gel and curly cream. I have the dannem brush but I feel like that purchase was a fail and it doesn't really curl my hair as it does for the people in the videos, but also I don't want to define every curl. But I still very much love the bowl method and my turban. I also use a hydration spray which I think is probably not curly hair approved, but it works for me to reactivate my curls the next day. I also don't have air dryer thing, because I prefer to air dry my hair. I need a cleanser though to deep clean.
I have a low porosity crown with an oily scalp with SD and live in a subtropical climate so my hair likes higher cleansing or cleansing more often for most of the year.Curly girl never completely worked for me especially since I have very hard water here. When I dye my hair it is better behaved but I've had to stop so my early grey new growth and color treated length have to be treated differently. I have the regular leave in primer and love it.I don't like their shampoo and conditioners but the leave in products are nice.
I don't do cgm. My hair is fine with a wavy texture. The waves are stronger in the back and the front pieces are more straight. I am trying a new cream to see if protein helps my hair. My hair is a mix of 2a and b.
Arrrg. I’m a newbie. Just found out (accidentally) that I am not Roseanne of roseannadanna. I thought I had frizzy hair and no one suggested otherwise. Thanks for nuthin’ salons. I pay big money at the Salon where they whip it till it’s smooth - but can’t do it at home. I need serious help now so I’ll go through your videos. I love the idea of few products so ya sold me. I need a bathroom remodel for all the expensive crap I’ve lost money on😖. I have fine hair and not a lot but it sure can puff up to look as big as I need. Wish me luck as I begin your videos. ❤️
I have dry hair but I've never got used to co wash or sulfate free shampoos. I don't wash my hair often so I feel the need to clarify my scalp and feel it clean.
I agree with knowing hair porosity, density and what not but hair type 2a, 3c really has no significance it just depends on how well you style your hair each time. Nonetheless good advice
Covid made me decide to go curly. I had straightened my hair my entire adult life. Your channel saved my sanity. The curly girl method was not for me. Toooooooo many RULES. This has been a long journey. I think i'm finally figuring it out. Of course everyday is different. Thank you.
Love this video! Simple, accessible, and effective is as you would say “my jam”! 😂 Curious, can you use this spray on fine course high density hair? Does it matter if you use this spray on dry or wet hair for heat protection?
I got that denman brush when it was all the craze and everytime I used it, I could hear my hair snap. Needless to say, I quit using it pretty quickly. The best brush I ever owned came from dollar tree. There are no knots on the end of the bristles, and helps define my curls.
AWESOME VIDEO! I LEARNED THIS MANY YEARS AGO AFTER WATCHING ALL THESE VIDEOS & REALIZING THAT WE DON'T NEED ALL THAT CRAP... WHO'S FREAKING IDEA WAS THAT ANYWAYS??🤣 BEADHEAD HAS AN AWESOME DIFFUSER FOR UNDER $40, EVEN UNDER 30 AT SOME PLACES, THAT I HAVE BEEN USING FOR OVER 10 YEARS NOW AND I LOVE IT.
Every movement needs an anti movement😂 great!!! I was watching curly videos like nobody's business lately and learned a lot good stuff and improved my hair which looks similar to yours. What I like is not having stress with hair, sometimes I take the time to style my hair to be curly and stuff and some day I straighten or blow dry and also many times I wash it and do nothing. This addiction to a process and the products for it is not for me.
I have fine 2a low porosity virgin hair and actually love the curl smith bond rehab salve because my fine hair needs protein and easily gets over moisturized but that’s just me
The link to the website for Eva nyc opened a page but kept locking when I searched for Primer for fine hair. When I got frustrated and went to this page straight from my browser there was no option for the fine hair version of the product and it made me answer a 10 question quiz b4 it would even give me access to the search functionality. Also, there are a lot of shipping related issues described in the reviews. Sorry, I tried but just can’t get anywhere but the sign up for text messages, which I will have to cancel now. I would love to try this. Maybe you have some influence with them. (See what I did there?)
How have you figured out which products work for your hair type & really figure out your hair type? I want to get to know my curly hair better but it's so much contradicting info out there
I've been following curly hair videos for like 4 years. A month ago I found a lady in my area who does curly cuts and knows about curly hair. She gave me a curly cut, suggested products for MY hair and showed me how to style MY hair and even showed me how to TRIM my hair. Night and day difference. Find someone in your area who knows curly hair. I think with tip I paid $67
Curly girl destroyed my hair. I had problems from the beginning, but people told me the hair had to get "used" to it. Seven years later, the hair not only didn't get used to it but it changed. I went from medium, shine, normal porosity, 3a/3b curls to a dry, porous, opaque, thin head of 2b/2c/3a hair with an infinite shedding in the 7 years I was curly girl. I was going bald. Since I am known for my hair, people started asking what was going on and I finally addressed the problems I was having. Doctor, clinical tests and everything came back ok. I was given an androgenetic alopecia diagnosis. I turned to my hair care and realize that when I was dying my hair, the day I applied the dye it didn't fall. The same when I shampooed. I went back to sulfate shampoo and improved. I went curly girl again and the hair fall restarted. I stopped it by september 2019 and went back to my old routine. I spent a lot of $ to recover it. Nioxin, no oils/butters/anything with these, Redken Extreme, then in office treatments. Now I clean my hair every single day as I did before going curly girl. Silicones and petrolatum are back in my life for good. Never again I will fall for internet hype or Brand's alegations to sell their products without looking things up
What shampoo/conditioner do you use? I was blaming Covid for my hair loss, but it continues to fall out. My scalp is always itchy and irritated. I’m starting to think it’s the CGM 😢
And do you notice how hard it is to find regular shampoo now that isn't sulfate free?? It's ridiculous. People have had beautiful hair way before the whole sulfate free trend began, that's how you know it's all hype. I love India's hair, it's big hair and I love that. But I don't listen to any advice from anyone on how to care for or style my hair. Hair needs are so different for everyone. It's silly to follow someone else's routine.
"don't let anyone tell you what to buy, except if they pay me to do a video trying to sell it to you." I thought this was gonna be an honest video of a collection of different products, but well, I should have picked up on the ad video at the beginning when she mentions a brand sponsored a "SMALL" part of her video.
I agree, it messes with the whole point of the video
Thanks for the heads up - won’t be watching the rest
I don't know, she did say several times in the video that ea. person's hair type was different & one may NOT need/want to use the same products as she does. She even says at the end to use the sponsored products OR don't even buy them at all!
I’ve been watching your channel for a long time. Your one of the only curly hair “influencers” I still watch. Thanks for making this video. The curly girl method was too much for a mom of two little boys lol. I can manage my hair a lot better but I don’t really care as much if it is perfect. It takes too much of my time, I’d rather go out and live life.
Thank you for continuing to watching friend ❤ so much love to you. The curly girl method I think is a little too much for anyone 🫶
Definitely too much. I tried so many different conditioners and my hair was always greasy. I gave up after a year. I still use gel, hair turbin/old t-shirt and STC but shampoo also. It's fine!
Fine/Wavy Hair🙋♀️
Products I use:
Shampoo/Conditioner (every 2-3 days)
Deep Conditioner/Mask (1x per week)
Leave in Cream (after washing)
Oil for my ends (daily)
When needed -
Blow out cream
Heat Protectant Spray
Tools:
Wide tooth comb (daily)
Wet brush (wash day)
Revlon one step blow dryer (rarely)
Exact same…. This is my child’s account lol, in case anyone is wondering why a 6 year old boy is commenting on a video such as this.
First of all, I appreciate how you make sure the opinions in this video are your own and don't apply to everyone!! With that said, I still agree with everything you said. About 5 months ago I started giving away everything that was too much for me and I simplified my hair routine. I'm so happy to see others feel the same way!
Me too! My family, and curly friends have been the recipients of LOTS of stuff since the beginning of the year.
But are they..lol😅
I really like the fragrance-free line from LUS
That’s ok babe! If you hate fragrance then it’s not for you. I wish all brands would have a fragrance free option 😭
@@indiabatson26 Of course! Once I'm no longer a broke college student (and hopefully rich), I'll invent in one! Just won't be anytime soon haha
I bought xiaomi soocas h5 that costs like 1/10 of that and I'm so happy with it. Can't imagine what a 400$ blow dryer can do better to justify the price
Shampoo
Conditioner
Spray leave in conditioner (as this is light )
Salt spray
All done, huge thick head of curls that are defined and held for days
LESS IS MORE
I have a mixture of 3a and 2c curls.
This just made my entire day. I’m so happy you are loving and embracing your natural texture now 🫶✨
I just want to say that ever since you started the book club watching your videos feels all the more like hanging with a bestie! The communities you have built are amazing and I am so grateful for them. ❤❤❤❤
Oh my gosh this comment just made me so happy 😭💛 so grateful for your friendship babe
I still use the blow dryer I got from beauty school...in 1984! Still works great.
Hey, thanks for the video ❤ I use the Denman brush for styling (apply tension while coming through a small section in a 90-degree angle). It works great 👍🏼and is very quick
Thank you for sharing this!! This is going to help someone master the den man brush 😍
My Denmanbrush is 13 Years old now and still looks like new. I LOVE it!
This is the sweetest comment ever 😭😭😭😭
Love you and your channel! Small rec to get a good mic because your new house and filming space is a little echoey.
I have the Conair. I love it! I have a ton of hair, and it's down to the middle of my back. It makes it so much easier to dry.
Side note: My daughter has high-density, low-porosity, fine hair.
Love that you made sure to preface everything as your own opinion and that there are different hair types even within the curly community!
thank you for being here for a while beautiful 🫶
I have started using less cgm “approved” stuff… for one things it's cheaper and they work just great if you take care to look at the ingredients
Just bought the package deal with your code! I have similar hair to yours! It is wavy but it is so porous from the highlights! Excited to try
Yes I agree !!! I feel the same way
I use a few more things than your list, like sometimes I use a leave in instead of conditioner, I also sometimes use a mousse or a spray styler, and a deep conditioner, but I use 4 products on most shower days and another midweek for refreshing.
I’m glad you found what works best for you !!!!
Yes, that's a great product combo! I have type 2 hair, too.
Hair is mainly protein, so we don't have to use conditioners or mask so much unless we need certain ingredients, not even do STC or such things... wavy hair tends to lose it's pattern with all this
India, almost my birthday on April 27th! Happy weekend!
The CGM takes waaay too much time. Idk how these girls have time to brush out 50 sections, use 20 products, and not have crunchy gross hair!
Your hair is fabulous ❤. I have learned that less is more as well. Just a leave in conditioner and some ha
ir oil is all I need. Saves money, too. Love your videos, such a bubbly personality, too❤😊
I love your shirt!!!!!! Where did you get it at? Can you please link it!!!!!❤️
Love your videos!
Such a shame I can’t use your discount code India because I’m in the UK 😢would love some recommendations of curly hair products that can be purchased internationally xx
Hola India I love my tymo...got mine on a discount..for 128 dollars. I agree with you.. u don't need the dyson.
I love that Conair Infinity Pro dryer, I'm on my second one. I love that the diffuser attachment is deeper than most others.
Same! It's so good and dries my medium density, medium length curls in 20 minutes!
I like that it’s deep tooo !!!!!!!
Thank you India for keeping things real. That's why I love watching you!! 💕
You are the sweetest angel ❤
Your hair has been looking so good lately
Thank you.
I want your energy !!! I always feel so tired ... You're radiant
Awww this is so sweet🫶✨
Love this video! Simple, accessible, and effective is as you would say “my jam”! 😂 Curious, can you use this spray on fine course high density hair? Does it matter if you use this spray on dry or wet hair for heat protection?
Awesome I love it. Never used the method too time consuming
So… are sulphates basically clarifiers?
You say you have a two product styling routine. So youre using shampoo, conditioner, 10 in 1 Primer, gel and bond builder, right?
Gotta love how all the people who bought all these products on her rave recommendations are going WTF? now.
I thought this was Adele at first glance! Both gals are beautiful.
STILL WAITING for EvaNYC to come out with a gel!
Why don’t they have a gel ?!?!?!?
Thank you for an awesome video India!!
I got that denman brush when it was all the craze and everytime I used it, I could hear my hair snap. Needless to say, I quit using it pretty quickly. The best brush I ever owned came from dollar tree. There are no knots on the end of the bristles, and helps define my curls.
Thanks!! So is deep conditioner not a must-have after clarifier?
AWESOME VIDEO! I LEARNED THIS MANY YEARS AGO AFTER WATCHING ALL THESE VIDEOS & REALIZING THAT WE DON'T NEED ALL THAT CRAP... WHO'S FREAKING IDEA WAS THAT ANYWAYS??🤣
BEADHEAD HAS AN AWESOME DIFFUSER FOR UNDER $40, EVEN UNDER 30 AT SOME PLACES, THAT I HAVE BEEN USING FOR OVER 10 YEARS NOW AND I LOVE IT.
THANK YOU INDIA‼️
I’ve let my hair go to natural curly about 5 years ago. I’ve never used all the products…. It’s always been too much!
I have fine 2a low porosity virgin hair and actually love the curl smith bond rehab salve because my fine hair needs protein and easily gets over moisturized but that’s just me
Congratulation on the vídeo👏🏻 and Happy Friday 🌞
The link to the website for Eva nyc opened a page but kept locking when I searched for Primer for fine hair. When I got frustrated and went to this page straight from my browser there was no option for the fine hair version of the product and it made me answer a 10 question quiz b4 it would even give me access to the search functionality. Also, there are a lot of shipping related issues described in the reviews. Sorry, I tried but just can’t get anywhere but the sign up for text messages, which I will have to cancel now. I would love to try this. Maybe you have some influence with them. (See what I did there?)
I’m a big fan! I’ve learned so much from you over the years. I would love if you would do a diffusing video.
Absolutely !! Thank you so much for the love beautiful ❤
0:02 You're breathtakingly beautiful India
Great video 😊…..Love your lipstick, what kind is it?
Clarifying made my hair so dry and brittle and it stripped it of color, so I no longer use a clarifying shampoo! That is my experience
There are color friendly and curl friendly clarifiers. It does not have to be a clarifying shampoo
They DO need a gel! Smells so great!!!
Why don’t they have a gel yet 😭😭
You could really do with some moisturization and bond builders
Love love loved this video! ❤️
Love you India! You look so good!🫶🏼🫶🏼
Can you do a video on wet hairstyles for curly hair? :)
Your hair ma’am 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You HAVE to clarify or product buildup will cause hair loss
