Great that you found Carnivore. I'm 2.5 years into it. Jan 1, 2025 will be 3 years for me. My problem was Oxalate overload. I got to the point where I could no longer walk. Doctors were of absolutely NO help to me. Carnivore gave me my life back. I can not only walk again but I can run.
2 Years 3 months for me. I was dependent on crutches, I threw them away. I can walk normal again, and I bought a new bicycle for exercise and fresh air. 😀
I have Oxalate poisoning from eating vegan and drinking superfood smoothies. My first year eating the ketogenic carnivore I experienced Myelination restoring my balance.
lol this was me too, the soles of my feet were so painful every time that I stood up. The specialist wanted to remove some of my "overactive" parathyroid glands in 2018, that's when I started carnivore rather than having the surgery. Now I can sprint against my son :)
@@karenreaves3650 I've had real problems with Oxalate dumping. It got severe. I would even say life threatening. It calmed down a bit but still dumping. According to Sally K. Norton, it can take up to 10 years for your body get rid of them. I'll never touch another vegetable again in my life. They are toxic.
There are many of us transitioning from the typical homestead and growing the typical things to being carnivore. We're here for the journey. I've been carnivore for a year, and will never go back!
I love the simplicity of the carnivore lifestyle. No more endless shopping and prep. Since giving up tea I’m only drinking water now. It was easy to get used to in a few days and it’s cheaper too. Healthy, slim and saving money and time. What’s not to like? 👍
We're trying to give up sugar free soda now, so hard, but the last vestige of poison. Dumping those oxalates with a few condiments and cheese but heading in the direction of only beef, fish and water.
I so agree. I hated gardening and being carnivore has given me back my life!! Abd so much more time not growing TOXIC plants. Good for you buddy. Welcome to the HEALTHY CARNIVORE community. I'm turning 73 in a week and became carnivore at age 71 and it was THE Best thing I EVER did for my health. My goal is to live to 120 plus years and I will be healthy living another 48 years!! No food waste, saves tons of money, cooking time down to 30 minutes or less a day. Plus no joint pain, normal B/P and blood sugar, happy satisfied woman. I love my meat and I want it bloody rare. Bone broth is a treat. It's such a better lifestyle. Not a dan of chicken, love fresh fish and snack on high fat butter. I'll fight you for ALL the fat on my steak. LOL❤❤❤
I love what a time saver eating carnivore is. When hungry go to the refrigerator, get meat, cook meat, eat meat. NO COMPLICATED TIME CONSUMING MEAL PREP! Love it!
Exactly. E.g. my xmas meal took 5 - 10 min to cook - one pan, one plate, one knife, one fork to wash - that's it! While others had been preparing for weeks/months, slaving away cooking, having to clean all of that, feeling all bloated afterwards etc. ... lmao
For homesteaders and preppers, this is going to be new territory. We need to learn. I’m not carnivore yet, but my results when trying have been eye-opening. I need to do this.
I highly recommend joining a Carnivore support group, especially when you're starting out. Even if you do it for only one month, totally worth it to answer all your questions and help troubleshoot issues that can happen while you transition to Carnivore. Steak and Butter Gal's group is a great one.
We are in the same place. For the last 10 years we have been 100% on the homesteading journey, growing our own food. My husband has been carnivore since last year and I’m in the process of getting on it. Now we are going through this weird process of wondering what to do with all of our gardens and such.
@@ballengerfarmhomestead2772 I've been dividing up my plants or digging up runner babies and auctioning them off on my local fb auction groups. Then I started some of my rare heirloom seeds for the strange and weird edibles and medicinals to auction off to folks whose garden's have lost so many plants this year. In north Oregon, we had hail over father's day weekend. Medicinal herbs like toothache plant, prunella/self heal, Mullein, mugwort, lemon balm, pennyroyal, kapoor tulsi basil... different hybrid herbs like lemonade thyme, orange thyme, lemon thyme, lime thyme, all kinds of basils, ... And the strawberries just produce far too many baby plants. And people bid like crazy for them. So I started Armenian Yard Long Cucumber, tromboncino squash, yard long red beans, scarlet runner beans, more toothache plants, red sun sunflowers. I decided I would put my knowledge into making money until I decide to downsize further. I grow in large pots. I just got $25 for a ghost pepper in a 7 gal pot that has been planted since may 13th. I found free pots at lowes. Occasionally I find 5 & 7 gal pots there. Usually it's 1 gal or smaller.
MY FRIEND WHO WAS 300LBS 6FT 2IN OVER THE BELT BELLY NOW WEIGHS 170LBS OFF OF HIGH BLOOD MEDS AND DIEBEADIES MEDS AT 72 YEARS OLD WAYNE HAS A FLAT STOMACH ALL ON A CARNIVORE DIET.
I'm a new subscriber and doing carnivore. I'm always interested in other people's experiences on carnivore. I still love gardening videos. I will still garden for my family and just for fun. I get a lot of joy from watching things grow! I feel so much better after one day on carnivore. Been 4 days on carnivore and I slipped up yesterday evening, thinking a tiny bit of broccoli dipped in butter and small ear of corn. Just doesn't work. Then, I want every forbidden sweet. Trying to fly straight today. Luckily I found good ribeye steaks on sale, 9.99 each at local grocery store, 8 ounce. Quick sear on each side, very quick, so doesn't overcook. Really tender and good. They have 12 oz, thicker cuts for 14.99. I buy farm eggs. I prefer dark meat chicken. I'm really loving meat case bulk thick sliced Applewood bacon, baked in the oven till tender not overdone. Good luck. I'm diabetic, so have quite a carb addiction, but it is amazing how fast you lose your taste and cravings for carbs. Carnivore cures that. My mistake was picking up farmstead sweet corn for my grandson late in the afternoon when getting hungry.
My wife and I have known that we needed get on the program... the meat only program... but we were putting it off. We were both so inspired by your video and your attitude about your garden situation. We are homesteaders, a 42 acre beef and lamb operation, 4 years now. I'm feeling the energy and mental clarity already. Thanks for the nudge brother!
Another important cooking method for low carb is suis vide. I do briskets in a suis vide machine that I made out of a large ice chest for forty eight hours and then smoke them for four hours. Suis vide gives a better texture than pressure cooking and cooks more evenly. I have lost one hundred fifty five lbs in the last two years, with about thirty to forty lbs left to go and I just turned seventy four, carnivore gave me my life back. This is what has been cured, diabetes, stage three kidney disease, serious cardiac problems, IBS, psoriasis, arthritis in my hands, severe joint pain, even the floaters in my eyes are gone.
Once you figure out we've been lied to about food, you start to see in every aspect of life we have been lied to. I get angry thinking about it sometimes.
Overcame Graves disease with keto, but I've upped my game recently with carnivore losing weight and inflammation. As a homesteader, I appreciated coming across your video and will be growing for the chickens, my meal worms, and composting worms.also moved to canning as much meat as possible with the rising prices and questionable quality of food.
We are new subscribers. I 2:03 've been carnivore since January 12 2023. My wife started a couple weeks later to support my efforts. I had been searching for alternatives to medication, to ease my knee pain and inflammation. We had been watching homestead channels for a while, and 2 of them had referred to carnivore to help autoimmune issues. This started my journey. I'm an old farm boy who's been working construction for almost 50 years. This diet has improved my health, mobility, sleep, digestion, energy and stamina. The weight loss has been a bonus on top of all else it's done for me. I'm 6'-1" and at my highest weight was 330 some lbs. When I started carnivore, I had been cutting carbs and got down to 306 to 314. Then carnivore started. Currently I'm at 207, and last week bought jeans with a 34" waist size. 10 " less than what I wore 2 years ago. I feel so much better im not going back to the old eay of eating.22:35
Great video! I'm confident you can evolve your channel in a way that will benefit both you and your viewers. I've seen Vegans who had plant based channels that evolved into Carnivore channels. You have charisma and come across as genuine and sincere. I'm subscribed and hope to see more of your videos.
Pete, I want to start this very soon. I have watched a bunch of videos of people doing this and it looks like the path for me. My Dr. cant get my BP down or loose weight even with extra exercise. Im 65 just started getting our 23 a homestead built and want to be able to enjoy retirement for many years! Keep up the good work and thanks for allowing us to follow your journey.
I just watched a video with Dr Chaffee and he said that the blood pressure will go down to normal after a few months of carnivore. He said it was because of high insulin levels restrict the blood vessels from dilating. Once fasting insulin levels go down, your blood vessels will be able to dilate and lower your blood pressure.
Hi Pete, I have been subscribed to your channel for a long time. I was researching and studying about the carnivore diet when your video showed up about your carnivore journey. You are the only one that I have found that is sticking with biblically clean meats. I so appreciate that. I am a small frame, 108 pound going on 80 years young grandma. My exhaustion has kept me from doing projects and taking care of my yard the way I would like to. I eat much more meats and giving up my vegetables but I have a hard time giving up my homemade sourdough bread. I’ve been milling my own flour, and this time I’ve decided to sift all the brand out. (Less fiber) Thanks for sharing your carnivore journey and I will be eager to watch all your videos from now on.
We're homesteaders in northern Arkansas and Carnivores off and on for 6 years, guess we must finally learn you can't go off! LOL! We're pretty preppie, water collection, solar, yard eggs etc on 40 acres. I stay straight on You Tube Carni vids like yours. We all need each other to abstain from poison! Good luck to ya!
If you love growing, you can grow for charity = your church or local foodbank. You can also grow for medicinal purposes or even aromatics. Since you are a homesteading channel you can even get feeder pigs to raise for your own consumption and grow to feed them. If you have chickens you can grow those mammoth sunflowers for them to peck at. If you and your spouse like to spin/weave you can grow flowers to create your own flower dyes or to feed the humming birds and bees. I wish you good fortune and hope to find a way to continue gardening if that is what you love.
I think I came across your channel because of your new carnivore content. As a person who is trying to heal from autoimmunity, I have been on the fence about going full carnivore, but it might be the only way I can get over this.
I'm a new subscriber and thank you for posting this. Been Carnivore since beginning of Jan. '24. Previously, I had a big garden that I slaved over, all the while getting sicker and weaker from eating plants. However, this Spring the guilt from letting the garden grow weeds and grass, came on strong. Your story has helped alleviate the guilt. I, too, am running ducks in the former garden and plan to expand on the animals. Thank you, thank you, thank you, from one former veg gardener to another. The Carnivore way is so simple and delicious. BP down, fatty liver gone, A1C, fasting glucose, fasting insulin, all normal. Feeling strong again. Developing muscle while my contemporaries are developing Sarcopenia.
I didn’t watch your channel before because I am not a homesteader. Your video came up on your switch to carnivore, because that is what I do as well. I am now subscribed to make up for some of the subscribers who left. I am quite interested in how you are going to change your homestead to match your new proper human nutrition lifestyle. I think you can provide a lot of interesting content. Love the meat!! 🥩
Howdy Pete! I am very excited for this journey with you. I bought the book you recommended and am looking forward to reading it. Another content provider I follow went carnivore and the improvements in his health are dramatic. So you guys have my attention lol! Thanks for having the courage to share this transition with us. Well done and thanks for sharing 🤠 EDIT: Only thing I would add is try to get wild caught fish and not farmed fish.
New subscriber here and can relate to you in the sense that we grow alot of fruit and veg on our little farm here in Australia but I am also now carnivore. It’s hard to change when you love growing your own produce. I’m still growing fruit and some veg for my kids. Looking forward to watching your new journey unfold.
Pete started with stopping Oxalates which got me interested in what he was doing. I had never heard of oxalates. I was on Keto and researched the oxalates. You should be able to grow some low oxalate low carb vegetables on your homestead. Thats my plan for next spring.
I loved to cook, making #keto pies, desserts, mock this mock that. It helped me transition from the S.A.D., but now with Carnivore, I am in and out of the kitchen in no time! Thank you for sharing and caring.
Here's a little tip to try, grind some pork rinds up and use it to coat your chicken (example chicken thighs) and put it in the air fryer. It tastes like crispy fried chicken and it's amazing. I've done with shrimp also and it was great. You'll thank me!
I have been homesteading 24 years. Been carnivore for 17 months. Healed and feeling great! Age 65. Love growing for my chickens, ducks, mealworms and composting worms. Found this channel because of the carnivore video!
We have all the same appliances as your pictures! LOL....I use the crock pot mostly with steaks on the Pit Master smoker, Blackstone or the Ninja Grill, all the rest in the Ninja XL airfryer. No more grease spatters on anything. The simplest and the best. I love the package of cheese/bacon/beef patties I get now from Walmart which I can airfry in exactly 8 minutes frozen...tooooo easy and I eat 'em for breakfast.
I subscribed whoever you lost it’s all good the carnivore community will be here right with you . I’ll be watching all your videos for sure and will share as well!
I’m new to your channel. My husband had such a huge garden for many years & this season is a first that he hasn’t planted a food garden. I’ve been carnivore for 3 months & counting!
I found your channel years ago when I was looking for liposomal vitamin C. I recently found carnivore and no longer have joint pain or acid reflux greatly reduced, almost gone. Six years vegan, developed fatty liver, acid reflux and osteopenia. I just bought a grill yesterday and excited about my new journey. I have an instapot and it’s great for tough meat. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to your future videos. My husband is not very happy about my change to carnivore. He said his trainer is a nutritionist and he didn’t recommend carnivore. I showed him my book Toxic Superfoods and he just tried to debunk it. Any suggestions? I’m just hoping my CT scan in December will show no more fatty liver and he will be convinced.
Nutritionist are educated through the same system the medical community is. People are sick and tired of being sick and tired and noticed by eliminating all this plant food their health returns, that's all the evidence I need. I think that nutritionist needs to re-educate him or herself in the latest findings about plants and how indigestible and malnourishing they are.
I lost 81lbs.Was a type 2diabetic for about 11yrs was on metformin and insulin on 5mg statins blood pressure was 165/95 now off all meds my A12 was 7.5 now 5.2 blood pressure is now 102/65 and I feel the best I’ve felt in just about 30 yrs . I am now 60 yrs young😉
July 1st it all started for us …We feel better already..New sub ! Exciting times… glad I found you ! I was sick of food and had no idea this would be the result.. my fridge ,freezer and pantry are are pleasure now.. Made homemade jerky today with no sugar and it was delish !
Purchased a meat slicer to slice roasts very thin and dehydrate with salt. Crispy like a potato chip yet chewy like jerky. It's so handy to keep around when it's too hot to cook or not enough time.
I’m now Canning Beef, making Ghee, & Canning Homemade Bone Broth! Also making Beef Jerky & Biltong in my Food Dehydrator!!❤ My stores of rice, beans, lentils, pasta, etc etc., are now packaged up for bartering… Still “Trapped in the city” (financial reasons😢), I have continued to grow Herbs for healing but don’t grow Veggies anymore. *I was raised off-grid on a completely self-sufficient, regenerative farm & I LOVED IT!!❤🙏🏻 If we couldn’t grow it, we simply didn’t have it; only going into town for Salt, Pepper, etc. That’s my PRAYER & DREAM to somehow get back to that Life!!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I’m almost there. Start with the getting all the chemicals and carbs out of your diet, then start leaning to the beef, butter, bacon and eggs. It’s a journey you will not regret
I'm a new subscriber, so glad I found this channel. I heard the sincerity in your voice. I heard truth in your words and in the comments. Those comments told of individual experiences that were all so positive. Prior to now I have eliminated processed foods and ate mostly keto, however I have resisted trying carnivore. It just didn't seem natural but now I have different thoughts about it. True I will miss some of my veggies and fruit especially so because I'm a gardener but I am absolutely convinced that the carinvore diet is what we need to heal ourselves. I immediately shared your channel with my daughter who has been struggling. So, we're going to do this together. Thank you! Keep going and keep inspiring!
Check out Dr Anthony Chaffee's channel. With respect to fruit and vegetables, you can have a little bit of it if it doesn't hurt your health. But if you do make sure it is seasonal and picked ripe. When we pick fruit ripe it has less anti-nutrients in it. Make sure it's grown organically and that it is a fruit or vegetable that hasn't been bred for excess fructose. For example if you like blueberries you can have some seasonal wild blueberries. That's what our ancestors did, when they came across some seasonal ripe fruit, they ate it. They didn't eat fruit everyday, they didn't eat fruit that was picked green and shipped across the globe, they didn't put five or six pieces of fruit into a smoothie. But they ate a little bit of fruit when they found it. They had some vegetables when they found them. A little bit, seasonal, organic, not bred for excess sweetness, that's what they ate. Primarily meat with a small amount of plant food when they happened upon it. I'm also doing carnivore. I still have coffee once a day, coffee of course isn't carnivore, it's a plant. But I haven't gotten rid of the one coffee a day yet. With respect to food, I can go a couple of weeks without eating any plant food but if I see some wild organic blueberries at the store, I'll probably get them. I'll enjoy them and that will be that. I'm not at the point of 100% carnivore yet. I'm not convinced that we have to be 100% carnivore. For people who need to heal from various conditions, doing the lion diet, meat, water and salt only is the best way to heal and eliminate everything that could potentially do harm. The standard American diet has done so much harm to our overall health that most people would benefit from a few months on a strict carnivore diet. For many of those people though, once healthier they would be able to reincorporate a small amount of plant foods if they wanted to. It's not required, it's not necessary but it's an option. Are you doing pure carnivore? Do you eat dairy, eggs, chicken or fish? I find that I don't want fish or chicken as much anymore I primarily want to eat beef. Everyone talks about how much they love ribeye steaks but I just don't like them. They're too fatty! I know we need to get a good amount of fat but I don't enjoy ribeye!
@@dirkmoolman I had started making a list of doctors who support carnivore -- covered both sides of a sheet of paper, and there were more! And that's just the ones that have appeared somewhere on the internet. Doctors with all kinds of specialties, from family practice, like Dr. Ken Berry, to neurosurgeons like Dr. Anthony Chaffee, to reproductive specialists like Dr. Robert Kiltz.
As a gardener your second vid caught my attention. I don't miss all the vegetable growing, canning, etc. But I love gardening and feel more like doing it, so I grow flowers and just enjoy nature. That huge fenced in area you have could easily be converted to raising chickens, goats or sheep. Keep up the good work!
There are a lot of vegetables you can grow with low oxalates. Usually less than 10 per half cup on things like broccoli and Kale. I dont think I can go full carnivore. Im also going to spice things. Im Keto right now only for a couple of weeks but a little cabbage or broccoli can break the monotony. If only once or twice a week. Pete grew some beautiful broccoli last year. Im thinking after 7 or 8 months of pure carnivore it will be OK to be 99% carnivore next spring. Im changing my garden next spring to low oxalates because I know I will be eating some green vegetables that dont effect the Keto(low carb)
We're in east Texas, too. NE up in the Tyler area. Where are you? Hubby and I have both gone carnivore before. He's having more success with it than I am. But I absolutely support it. And I LOVE what you said about your dogs and getting rid of their kibble and then they healed. So awesome!
Thank you for your courage and humbleness to be so honest and share your awakening into carnivore! We're with you all the way!! You'll reach so many who are not well and need your journey, your story to help them make a change as well that only you could given the journey you had and the journey you are now on.
Ken - One of the things that helped me was rethinking my definition of “sacrifice”. I dont think I’m sacrificing anymore by giving up sugar and other foods. I see that others are sacrificing THEIR health, sacrificing THEIR productivity, sacrificing THEIR longevity with their family. I’m not sacrificing because sugar is POISON!! Yiu can do it!! Best of luck!!
Pete, my wife and I started the Carnivore diet seven days ago specifically because of your video. I’d been considering it for several months, researching it, etc. Your video pushed us to start. Seven days later the inflammation in my hip and lower back are gone. Down 9lbs. My wife is experiencing the same. Interestingly enough, just prior to starting I had a full blood panel done, although I haven’t seen the results yet. I’m anxious to do another blood panel in 60 days and do a comparison. Like you, I haven’t quite figured out what to do with my garden. Oh well…I can give it to those in need. Keep up the good work.
Wow that's awesome, you made the right decision. That's great that you got your blood work done before but I hear you should wait at least three months to do it again because your body needs time to heal from all the inflammation it had prior to the change.
Easing into carnivore and I love the direction your channel is going, you can still give gardening tips without eating the vegs..right? you could always sell your produce too...
thanks for your videos Pete, we are sticking with you no matter what you are doing, we are into it all, prepping ,gardening ,chickens , water collection ,dogs ,food storage etc we went from standard american diet to veg to paleo to keto and finally carnivore last December and its awesome ,we have done our last garden of veggies this year and now will focus on animal feed, we have two rescue goats lol and chickens, i would like to have a cow or two for meat but the logistics of hauling to butcher or doing our-self seems too much so we are considering meat goats and are getting ready to fence of 7 or 8 half acre sections so we can rotate them thru woods and grass God bless you and yours and please keep the videos coming they are very inspiring
I have been thinking of raising meat rabbits again. I'm looking at the TAMUK rabbits for the Texas heat. Home raised rabbits have a better bone to muscle ratio and more fat than the super lean wild jack rabbits. They can also produce a lot of kits. Their manure is great for the garden. Rabbit manure can be sold to bring in extra funds and also the rabbits. I always have extra beef and pork fat I can use in cooking the rabbit if needed.
I changed my diet to essentially kito/carnivore depending on the day at the beginning of the year and have dropped 60 lbs. The weight just keep falling and im still eating three large meals per day just no carbs, no sugars and no seed oils. Its almost mindboggling how this is even possible and I feel great.
In the last year, we've seen major interest in and conversion to Carnivor, still waiting to see a major change in medicine across the board, this will be the turning point, when doctors start telling the truth like Berry and Chaffee etc. Still fighting with my docs here about heart health/cholesterol/statins, etc. Wish they had time to read up and educate them selves!
I’m so glad that you found carnivore! The more people sharing on all platforms will get the word out that healing is possible. I’m coming up on my four year carniverserie and i’ve never wanted to go back. True I’ve had some slip ups but always go back to carnivore easily. Would love for you and your wife to join us at a meet up in Waco on the 20th so you can meet more North Texas carnivores.
So happy you found carnivore. Saved my life too. Been strict on for 6 months, had blood work done. Doc called me a unicorn all results perfect numbers stay the course.
Im brand new to your channel and I watched your video about what to do about your garden, now that you’re carnivore and not eating veggies. I’m just learning about carnivore, but I also have a garden, here in Houston and I’ve been wondering what will become of all the veggies I’ve been growing! I appreciate your “man on the street”viewpoint. I watch a lot of the doctors who are in this space, but it’s nice to find an every day person who is doing this. I will go back to your early videos to see how you started carnivore. I also subscribed, so I can keep up with your journey.
Thanks again. Re salt...Redmond's was a game changer for me. I never realized that salt could taste so good. Also, I noticed that Dr Baker uses Maldon, so I just ordered a small pkg to try. I believe both are mined from one source, the Redmonds being from the good old US of A. :)
Sorry to hear you lost subscribers as a result of going carnivore...some people just aren't ready for the truth yet! But as one of your new subscribers and a 15-month carnivore who was a former very sick vegan, it was the comments on other carnivore videos that finally convinced me to switch because those comments are real people with no ulterior motive but to inspire others. I look forward to watching your journey ❤
Pete - take some chicken breast and spread some homemade mayo on it (make the mayo with avocado oil), then wrap it in bacon or roll it in parmesan cheese. Season with salt/pepper/garlic powder and broil it up. Once you manage to get some fatty, salty goodness into that breast meat a smile will break out across your face. If you want a pretty good substitute for bread crumbs, take some fried pork rinds and crush them. They make a great carnivore version of panko bread crumbs. Take care and God Bless.
Been carnivore 960 days. Still need to lose 45lbs but have lost 75. Just recently healed enough to eat grass fed butter, so I'm increasing my fat. My doctor is a keto/carnivore doctor. He's started helping me heal my hormones. Welcome to the club.
Hi Pete, new subscriber here. I signed up last week because I was interested in your web site on gardening and now I find you have gone carnivore ! Great !!! Two in one for me, then. I love gardening and have been carnivore for over five months and have lost 32 lbs. However, I am in my second stall so I am thinking I may go back to keto to some degree. I've incorporated dill pickles, sauerkraut and kefir into my diet to perhaps break this cycle. Glad to hear you and your wife are so doing so well on carnivore. I also feel so much better and I do not miss vegetables at all. My arthritis is gone and has been gone since I began. I am no longer diabetic as well. There are other benefits but I am sure you will discover your own benefits of a carnivore life-style. Talk later. Grandma in Texas
I am a new subscriber and a carnivore. There are no real butchers here. I live in Thailand. Most beef is imported from Australia, as is butter. Lamb is extremely expensive. Chickens are cheap. I usually cook something with minced beef. I also often make keto bread in the small oven. I eat 25 eggs a week. The only thing we have here is heavy cream with sugar. Recently there has also been sugar/vanilla in Greek yoghurt. I always have beef fat and pork belly in stock. Before going to bed I eat about 70g of butter - the best sleeping aid. I also often use my ceramic slow cooker. Any meat becomes soft in 2 hours. but I allow myself 2 days a month where I eat e.g. black spaghetti with butter and salmon
Good discussion. I started carnivore / keto at the beginning of the year with other family members. I was not looking for weight loss but better health. I feel a lot stronger after 6/7 months. 2 years prior was very weak and fatigued due to illness. I recovered thankfully from that illness but was left with muscle weakness / fatigue / insomnia. I was always a gardener. I still garden but focus more on the type of plants I can eat or the wildlife eat. The wildlife get most of my blueberries!
Who you callin' old? 🤣 ...ok...old...but it's a privilege to be old and more importantly, aging without pain, and ailments. IT'S AWESOME!!! SO GLAD that y'all found out about the PHD (Ken Berry) and all of those connected to a better life and health. KEEP ON GOING Mr & Mrs Pete B.
I am one of the biggest fans of your channel... or more precisely, of any content you provide... I love your unique personality characterized by precision, dedication to work, patience... and determination to reach the end of any goal you set... A wonderful journey since 2017 when you were renovating a home’s kitchen... And building Chicken Coop.... At that time, your channel was like a dose of hope for me (at the time I was receiving chemotherapy)... I am now in 2024, I have overcome the disease, and I run my company in America.... I am very grateful for the content and your channel.. ..Excuse me for being so long...following you from Iraq
@@Rosela-rose Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm so happy that you have overcome the disease. I hope that we all through diet and lifestyle can be healthy and happy 😊
You have convinced me to start carnivore, all the pain you described in the first video I also suffer from them all and more. After returning from Iraq in 2009 I have been in so much pain that I think of ending it all. Pain has been my life for so many years that I have just learned to live with it all but hearing you I think I’m going to give it a try. Thank you for sharing.
We have been slowly heading toward a carnivorous lifestyle. As I watch others on YT going carnivore I have noticed that they have a healthy glow to them. I look forward to following along with you on this journey! For those who have a US Foods Chefs store near them, you can get chuck roll to cut into steaks for a great price!
Welcome to the lifestyle my friend. New sub. Like you I enjoyed growing and I still do. I just dont eat my produce anymore because carnivore saved me and nothing feels better than being healthy from the inside out. I understand everyone is different and I dont get to dogmatic with it. It healed me and I am now working on my family by preparing delcious meats in various ways. They still want their veggies with it and as long as I can wean them off things with a barcode that only has 1-2 ingredients, Ill call that a win for now. Grill, instapot, and air fryers will be all of our best friend. If I may add, a crockpot and a smoker will be great tools as well. Now being a hunter, I also have a grinder and a sausage stuffer for venison, elk, wild hogs, etc.. What I do with the lean meats is grind it up into burger, add a fat like beef fat or pork fat (50/50 by weight). Salt it up really good, run it through the grinder again. Get some hog casings and make brats. Throw them on the smoker and enjoy. nothing ever goes to waste. I play around with various meats. Even made a carnivore boudin with chicken livers and ground beef. Endless things to do but most of all, always feel good. Respect good Sir. Looking forward to your journey and to continue learning.
Back when I raced ATV’s pasta carb loading the night before was the normal thing for a lot of guys, then hydration the day of the race. These were 2 1/2 hour woods races. Now I wonder if we were doing it wrong

I will replace one of those unsubscribes. I also love to garden. But carnivore has been saving my life in ways I can't describe.
LOL❤❤❤
Here here. So true!!
While others had been preparing for weeks/months, slaving away cooking, having to clean all of that, feeling all bloated afterwards etc. ... lmao
The carnivore community is beautiful
For homesteaders and preppers, this is going to be new territory. We need to learn. I’m not carnivore yet, but my results when trying have been eye-opening. I need to do this.
You can still garden if you enjoy it to grown healthy food for your animals to give you the best meat possible
Yes, I'd love to see your setup for gardening for the carnivore style. To keep them homestead animals fed. You just got another subscriber!
Awesome 👍
@@clicknstack1398 Yes I agree 👍
Overcame Graves disease with keto, but I've upped my game recently with carnivore losing weight and inflammation. As a homesteader, I appreciated coming across your video and will be growing for the chickens, my meal worms, and composting worms.also moved to canning as much meat as possible with the rising prices and questionable quality of food.
Beef heals the body, cattle heal the land! Watch Carbon Cowboys!
true words. 😁
Right, it is crazy how much the government is trying to destroy the small cattle farms!
Yes! Love Carbon Cowboys!
That's awesome 👍
(Less fiber)
Thanks for sharing your carnivore journey and I will be eager to watch all your videos from now on.
Welcome to your new life !!! 2 Years 3 months carnivore here 😃
New subscriber here. Love the new direction of your channel.
I dehydrate the chicken/turkey breasts and grind it into "flour" to use as "breading" in salmon patties, meat loaf, etc.
Could you please tell me more about the process of dehydrating the meat. Thanks
This is not a diet, it is a normal food that we have been eating from the beginning when we lived healthily😉Greetings from Sweden!
Awesome 👍
I didn’t watch your channel before because I am not a homesteader. Your video came up on your switch to carnivore, because that is what I do as well. I am now subscribed to make up for some of the subscribers who left. I am quite interested in how you are going to change your homestead to match your new proper human nutrition lifestyle. I think you can provide a lot of interesting content. Love the meat!! 🥩
I just found you and subscribed to you yesterday. I can't believe so many people left you, but it's okay, you're getting a bunch of new ones.
You will gain subscribers in time who DO support the carnivore diet. Hang in there!
Howdy Pete! I am very excited for this journey with you. I bought the book you recommended and am looking forward to reading it. Another content provider I follow went carnivore and the improvements in his health are dramatic. So you guys have my attention lol! Thanks for having the courage to share this transition with us. Well done and thanks for sharing 🤠

Change is hard. But for your health you make those changes. My husband just joined me on keto because he saw the benefits!

A smoker should be your next purchase. It is another convenient tool for preparing meals.
I love eggs and meat. This is easy peasy.
I've been carnivore a couple months, and found your channel because of your carnivore video!

Can't beat chuck roast in the pot or crock pot with a stick of butter and an Au Jus packet with a few italian peppers and onions...OMG good!
I’m not going anywhere Pete! I’m looking forward to all your carnival recipes, I’m 90% carnival for over 2 years now, feel so much better!

Listen to: Dr Ken Berry, Dr Anthony Chaffee, Kelly Hogan, Dr Philip Ovadia, Dr. Paul Mason, Dr. Ben Bikman. You won't regret it.
@@dirkmoolman I had started making a list of doctors who support carnivore -- covered both sides of a sheet of paper, and there were more!
@@ricsgarden7394 it is absolutely okay to eat a few vegetables. I eat cabbage. It is a little different for everyone. 💜

I keep struggling to stay carnivore. I feel sooo much better when I do, but the struggle is real! Keep on inspiring, people like me need it :)
I struggle too, but I'm not giving giving up.
Easing into carnivore and I love the direction your channel is going, you can still give gardening tips without eating the vegs..right? you could always sell your produce too...
thanks for your videos Pete, we are sticking with you no matter what you are doing, we are into it all, prepping ,gardening ,chickens , water collection ,dogs ,food storage etc
we went from standard american diet to veg to paleo to keto and finally carnivore last December and its awesome ,we have done our last garden of veggies this year and now will focus on animal feed, we have two rescue goats lol and chickens, i would like to have a cow or two for meat but the logistics of hauling to butcher or doing our-self seems too much so we are considering meat goats and are getting ready to fence of 7 or 8 half acre sections so we can rotate them thru woods and grass
God bless you and yours and please keep the videos coming they are very inspiring
Thank you for sharing your experiences.
I did carnivore at 80-90% for a few months and at nearly 50 I felt like I was in my 20’s! 💪
Still here!
I started carnivore Aug 1 2023 at age 65. IBS is gone and here is a shocker my glaucoma is gone!! Carnivore for the rest of my life
Wow, Great news !! I have bad eyesight 👀 so hopefully it'll help mine also !!
I’m glad to see your honesty and changes in diet

I liked the idea of replacing the space with flower seeds, you'll have more time to enjoy them now!☺
Thanks again. Re salt...Redmond's was a game changer for me. I never realized that salt could taste so good. Also, I noticed that Dr Baker uses Maldon, so I just ordered a small pkg to try. I believe both are mined from one source, the Redmonds being from the good old US of A. :)
I agree! Big fan of Redmond salt!
Remond's real salt is definitely a game changer
Redmonds is great. I truly love Maldon’s flaky salt as a finishing salt. Delicious.
And try smoked Redmond's mmmmmmmmmmmm
I'm a Kiwi, and my nephew brought me some Redmonds , both real and smoked. I love it.
love your story
Congrats on your new health journey! I've been carnivore for 5 yrs....it changed my life!
I’m so thankful to find your Chanel. Learn so much! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you 👍
IM ON A RIBEYE HIGH IVE HAD RIBEYES FOR 2 WEEKS NOW I TRADE OFF WITH HAMBURGER BACON AND EGGS.I LOVE CHUCK ROAST.
When you look at the cost of vegetables. And not buying it anymore You have money to buy the meat.
So, so true!
When you no longer buy the processed crap it's amazing how much you save. We buy bulk steaks on sale and vacuum seal them.
@@wallacelakehomestead6616 We buy chuck Roast, get it ground into hamburger.
Just subbed, from New Zealand 🇳🇿
A leg of lamb for me tomorrow😊
Love your channel! Have you ever tried venison? It’s the best!
Yes when I was younger 👍
Just found your channel. Where in East Texas are you? Been doing carnivore for 5weeks. Down 36 pounds.
Oh Wow, good for You !! 🤗
Don't worry - you gained one new subscriber in me lol
Thank you 👍
Who you callin' old? 🤣 ...ok...old...but it's a privilege to be old and more importantly, aging without pain, and ailments. IT'S AWESOME!!! SO GLAD that y'all found out about the PHD (Ken Berry) and all of those connected to a better life and health. KEEP ON GOING Mr & Mrs Pete B.
@@kimchianthony yep I'm an old guy but feeling young again.
Thank you for having courage to move on and stick with it. I am a new subscriber 😊
Love your videos! Keep going with them. Learning a lot.
Hi Pete. Still here. Glad to follow along with your new chapter.
Awesome, thank you!
Subscribed to support your journey and love to see how you use your freeze dryer to store your meats for future use! Is that a small unit or medium?
@@pammartorano4018 Thank you, it's a Cube freeze dryer. I would consider it a medium size. I have lots of videos on my channel using it.
Very easy to shop and cook on carnivore. We love it!!!
