Every time, I see something interesting online or at the gun shop, I always come here to check your opinions. I just got the Sig P365XL and I love it. Thank you Hickok45!
I find these videos by hickock to be very therapeutic. The sound of the firing. Hickocks dr. Phil esque tone. He’s like the grandpa I always wanted lol! Anyone else feel this way? Haha
Absolutely! Couldn't have said it better myself...... Kinda like the older crazy uncle that has guns all over the place! Love it and he is a class act! It's kinda like he is talking to you and only you when he talks about the firearms

@@albertthesecond210 I just acquired a P365XL RXZ!! I can't believe I found one! It's the XL but WITH the Romeo Zero already in the box. Sig isn't currently making these so they are GONE nationwide. I also ordered the Maglula UPlula with it. I have a S&W M&P and those are hard to load also.
@@iliveforhim1976 Funny you mention the Romeo. I got tired of waiting and cancelled my backorder. I thought of a Holosun but saw they are Chinese. Maple Leaf Firearms offers a mounting plate for Trijicon RMR/RSO ... So my XL will sport an RMR 6.5 moa
Thank you guys for the consistent and honest reviews! I had the P365 SAS, didn't like the sights and picked up the P365 XL. The size difference is not noticeable from the SAS to the XL as I had the 12 round mag for my SAS. The bonus with the XL is that you do not need to purchase the extended mag for a better grip if you have size L or larger hands. The SAS was too small to grip for me. I have had my P365's for over a year, easily 1k rounds through them. Not a single malfunction. Tight groups, it weighs nothing, and is easily concealable with jeans and a tshirt on no matter what type of carry you're doing. I carry center abdomen and often forget it's even there. I jog with it and even play a little solo basketball shooting around while my dog plays in the part. It's that comfortable hence the design and name, designed and meant to be worn 365 days out of the year. Other guns are too thick, too long, or they feel like cheap plastic and the grips suck. The P365 is hot and ready to go right out of the box. Great value for the cost in my opinion. I hope this helps you all out. Especially since there's some sort of buzz going around about malfunctions. I am unaware of that, and have had not a single malfunction with either of mine.
Got the original 365. Love it. Spent $35 and got an XL grip module and put the firing group and slide from the original on XL grip module. So now I have a long frame short slide 365. Love this configuration thanks to the modularity of Sig's striker fired system. Also, thanks for all you do Hicock45! You are usually my first stop when looking for gun reviews. Love the content!
My P365XL came with the Romeo zero optic. I've recently changed that out for the fixed rear sight. SIG had the plate and sight as an option. I like it more now than ever! Thanks Mr Hickock for your channel!
They put together a nice firearm. I haven’t had the opportunity to live fire one yet. I do wonder why they don’t offer the SAS sight on the XL. The sight picture is easy to acquire. I don’t like the feel of the grip on the hellcat but the sight picture on it it pretty good too.
Thanks Hickok45! I carried the Sig P320C 9mm until the Sig P365 came out. Your review on that helped me decide to go with that, with 12 round magazines, as my EDC pistol. And I have 3000 rounds through it using mostly hotter 124grn NATO and +P ammo. Not a single malfunction of any kind. I have now switched from the FBI 135grn +P carry ammo to the SIG 365 branded carry and practice ammo as the NATO and +P ammo was LOUD! I got to thinking that if I had to discharge my weapon indoors, it might be a bit too noisy! Anyway, my sights are now set on the SIG P365XL. I was a SIG guy in the military (I carried a P226) and now because their weapons just fit like a glove for me and 'feel great in the hand' as you say. Thanks again Hickok45 & John!
Hey hickok, coming from cleveland Ohio here just wanted to say thanks for all the knowledge. And being so humble while sharing it. I moved back here from Tennessee two years ago and everytime I watch your videos I wish i could be back.
Yeah, that's been fun to watch for years now. I don't think you could see them on his earliest videos with the camera he had then, but most of his vids have that. I can't think of anywhere else you can watch bullets in flight without slow-mo. Always a little bit mesmerizing. His p365xl's windage is slightly off, he shot about a 10" group out at the gong, just most of them off the metal to the right & down.
Kathrynck - Years ago I used to do plinking with a Webly 455 out to 50 - 75 yards. If you maintained your focus after the shot, you could see the slug hit the target. Course, its only traveling 750-800 fps if I recall correctly. Loads of fun to shoot, though.
@@poppys3728 That would be cool to see. I've seen some in spotting scopes obviously too. but i haven't with the naked eye. Could be my vision too though, I think my eyes look pretty good naked, but they're only mediocre at "looking" hehe.
Last year I bought my first carry gun - a new P 365. I take it to the range once a month and shoot at least 50 rounds. The gun has performed perfectly with only normal maintenance and it's actually pretty easy to break down and clean. I love it. Recently, I had an opportunity to shoot an XL. I noticed the difference that more mass makes in absorbing recoil, and for that reason, and the longer handle, decided to sell my 365 and get the XL. That's not meant to be a criticism; they're both marvels of engineering. It would have been helpful to let potential buyers know that they should plan for the purchase of a loading tool if they plan to load all 12 into the clip, or, be Superman. That is one stiff spring. Since I do shoot the 365, I'm qualified to say that your demonstration was some pretty impressive shooting. Thanks again.
As always, another well done video, and THANKS FOR DOING THIS,I have both ,the P365 Micro and the new P365 XL, love them both, and they have been added to my EDC rotation, they have for now been 100% reliable, accurate and just fun to shoot, Sig has another winner....
It's so enjoyable to watch your videos. I held my first P365 XL today and the one thing I didn't like was the shortened pistol grip in my hand. I am glad to see that SIG makes a 15 rd mag that compensates with that grip. I did notice the P365 MACRO has a larger pistol grip and was extremely comfortable in my hand. The dimensions with the MACRO and the XL were almost identical with the exception of the pistol grip length. One thing I did notice on the MACRO is that I couldn't drop the slide with the mag inserted, at first I thought this was a flaw, but the salesman explained to me that SIG actually intended this so that the shooter couldn't load an empty magazine. He put a dummy round in and showed that the slide would drop and without it was impossible. SIG is brilliant and very thoughtful.
I bought a P365 standard size Haze Grey frame (Go Navy!) with black slide for my wife a year ago. She loves the gun and is a regular Annie Oakley with it. Great review. As always, Thank you hickok45
@@malrvinmason4745 I shot alongside a Glock 19 and didn’t notice any significant difference in recoil. It’s an easy gun to shoot and fits well in hand, even with larger hands. I chose it over the Glock 48 for that reason. Only slight downside is it tends to get hot when you put a lot of rounds through it. But ultimately I think it’s the perfect size for conceal carry.
I agree absolutely and even more so. I OWN a P365 and use 12 rd magazines in it exclusively. I fired a P365XL, a friend's carry weapon this weekend. I did not burn it down or anything, just fired 40 rounds or so through it, and I can tell you it is a superior shooting weapon to the P365 especially with the 9BPLE that I carry in it. It is much easier to control with MUCH less muzzle flip due to the slightly wider grip swell and 0.6" longer barrel. It is just about as concealable as the two grips are equal in LENGTH with the 12 round mags inserted. They fit in the same holsters. The Optics Ready Slide on the P365XL is valuable for future upgrades, the FLAT TRIGGER made no difference, and the longer sight radius made it more accurate for me. I am NOT going to sell my P365, but I'm going to buy a P365XL as soon as this COVID-19 PLANNEDEMIC stupidity is over.
Glad to hear that about the sig-im looking for a CCW pistol ATM. I'm also glad to hear people are using the term plandemic -cuz that's just wth this thing was.
Same, i shoot it better than fullsize guns. I recommend it to everyone. Planning on picking up an xl. As of right now i don't think i will ever buy a different handgun ever again.
I pocket carry the XL in a sticky holster every day w no problem and a 15 round backup mag. Works great. Never had any reliability issues over two years and 2k rounds of various makes and weights. Highly recommended
Another good review Hickok. I purchased the first P365 that arrived at The Armory in southern middle TN. As far as I'm concerned it is the perfect carry gun and shoots well. Glad to see you followed my lead and carry it in the Alabama holster 😂 All the best!
Reviving an old video. I used some 12 round mags in my 365, what a difference the extension made for my large hands. Then I got some base extensions for my 10 round CA mags and they are a nice improvement without the gap left by using the 12 rnd mags. Just now I ordered the XL slide and 3.7 barrel to complete the conversion to XL. Nice video Mr Hickok45. I enjoyed watching you enjoy the gun.
I love it. I think other companies will follow sig on this one and try to create more pistols in this very limited category between subcompact and compact. Great job sig. Small enough to carry but big enough to compete against established pistols like the G19 and other compact service pistols.
I love my P365XL. I have small hands and its one of the few double stack handguns I can get a good purchase on and use all the controls without breaking my grip. It conceals nice and flat anywhere on the body with little inconvenience - with a good holster, of course. I was determined I was going to buy a hellcat that day. Test drove 'em both over 300rds and without question the P365/XL was worth the price difference. P365 recoil impulse was a lot softer than the Hellcat and even better with the XL. Great job Hickok(s) with the videos, keep em coming. Stay healthy.
I also own an XL, have put probably only 5-600 through it due to the great ammo shortage of 2020. Still though, haven't had a single malfunction with mine.
Thanks so much, Hickok 45, for all the comparisons that you have done in this video. You have helped me decide on the Sig 365 rather than the XL as I have other stuff about the size of the XL, but not of the little one except a .380. If I can have stuff the size of the .380 in 9mm, I'd rather do it. Now that Sig has the bugs out of it, I believe it would be OK to buy. Most grateful for your help to so many of us.
Dude your videos always make me smile. I have the p365XL with the red dot. I love it. Your take on hand size is spot on. I have mediumish hand size and this gun fits like a glove. Grinning ear to ear with every pull of the trigger.
Saw video title. Know that Hickock45 doesn't care for SIGs. Expected the, "well, he he, it's a SIG! Some people like 'em...". Didn't get that. Mind TOTALLY BLOWN! Glad you found a SIG model you actually like!
I think you nailed it - people with smaller to medium sized hands who Glock's feel large and uncomfortable with tend to love the 365's. The XL is the cross-over between the carry and the range gun which will appeal to a lot of people. This is one of the few/only double/staggered stack polymer handguns to me that required no grip modifications whatsoever to comfortably shoot. I have a more detailed review about this on my channel to discuss this in more detail...
I love my sig p365. Target re-accusition with the tritium front sight is a snap. doesn't fell like a small hand gun. I do not have large hands but they are not small either. The first time I had it out went through 200 + rounds and no hand fatigue with that. It is just a hoot to shoot. Carry it daily. No failures with it what so ever. This is my second sig. Looking forward to the third sig.
Awesome small gun, very concealable. Cleaned it before ever shooting, not one malfunction first 200 rounds (150 AE 115 FMG, 50 Federal HST 124 +P). Totally love this gun, everything about it. My hand size is womewhere in the average (can nearly palm a basketball, but cannot palm a basketball), and the size, weight, capacity, grip texture, just love it.
I purchased A XL at a local gun show here in NC saturday 9/14/19. Went to range 9/15/19 shot it 210 times and was Great! Came home cleaned and found serious scrapes on top of chamber--- Not good. Called and shipped it to Sig today about this problem. I was assured they would completley go over it and correct the problem. I sure hope so, Really love the feel and being able to carry a smaller pistol ..
I have a P365 since Jan. '19 and have just over 1,600 rounds through it and no problems. If you got small mitts like me, this may be the CCW for you, if not then try the XL. I'm not liking the trigger curve on the XL but I must admit I haven't felt one up.
I carry my P365 off duty and as a back up . I not had any issues with the pistol. I bought a 15 round mag for it this past weekend . It was defective as was the next two magazines at Royal Range. They were nice about it and tested the last two before I walked out of the store.
My wife, son, and I all carry and shoot the P365. We have many small pistols, and the P365 has relatively little recoil. The P365’s grip can be made longer with a 12 round magazine, but the XL can’t be made shorter. I mostly pocket carry my P365, and it’s perfect for that.
Owner of XL... and my FYI I did not rush my purchase of this p365xl weapon. I am 60yrs old, 6'1, #260pds, large muscular and large hands. Retired and traveling via RV all 50 states. I wanted concealability, but I have always carried large duty framed weapons. So a longer sight plane and something that fit my pickle finger hand was required. I did add an ARMORY CRAFT extended 1mm mag release extension/Nimrod pinky extension on 12rd magazine (for 10rd mags, but with modification fits 12rd very neat and nicely), and a Hogue grip. There is no extra printing in concealing my weapon. I carry in a Vedder LighTuck, or Versacarry holster +Mag holster dependent on my enviroment. My choice of rounds was Cival Defense 50gr for high population environments (no over penetration) and 147gr HST/standard #2 loads. I must say the 150gr HST Micro works wonderful as well for double tap with less recoil, being made specifically for short barrel weapons. This is a wonderful weapon to EDC, and I carry it every day every where. I highly suggest anyone with a large frame and hands not to be leery of purchasing this weapon. I purchased 2 weeks ago the HOLOSUN 507K Micro Red Dot from KENZIE Optics....I wear Bifocals and front sight acquisition quickly is at times is hard to pickup on "ANY PISTOL" I carry. It should not print at all on my concealed holsters and look forward to this addition. I am RETIRED NYS LEO of 36yrs carrying under HR218 Bill and find this weapon extremely accurate and versatile. Now a civilian I pray as most RESPONSABLE weapons carry person to never to use it.....but if the need be, it is there.
Dear Mr. Hickok, You have a lot of watchers in Israel, including me; I follow with great pleasure especially your handguns reviews . I hope kindly one day you can review SIG P320 X- Five full size . Let me wish you a good health, and thank you for your channel
I think it’s time for a Chapter 2! I’ve rewatched this video after you recent discussions and thoughts on Sundays about how you feel about this gun and moving to pocket carry with it. Seriously considering one. Love to see a follow up.
Hickock45 reminds me of my Cowboy Pop-pop. Smart, tall, articulate, happy to teach, overall a rock. He taught me to shoot, fish and play guitar. I imagine Poppop and Hickock45 could sip some suds and have some good conversations. Good health and happiness to you, Hickock.
I'm 5'7" so the gun is basically perfect for me. I still prefer a full grip on my guns so, instead of the p365, I went with the p365x. Which is the version with the XL frame but the regular 3.2 inch barrel. I think it's basically the perfect gun for me. I can get that full grip but it's still super light and I don't have to endure the annoyance of carrying a g19. I know some people love it but I always hated the weight of the g19.
Just picked mine up today and it feels just about perfect. I wanted the XL, but they only had ones with manual safeties which was one of the reasons for me switching.. so I went with the 365X and not disappointed at all. I'll take this gun to the grave with me.
because of your reviews, i finally pulled the trigger so to speak and purchased the 365xl! 10 day wait period here i stupid WA State. can’t wait to try it out!
Got a Sig P365 "tacpac", with three (full grip) 12rd mags and ambidextrous holster, on 2019 Black Friday with a manufacture date of Nov 2019. Holster is great for keeping trigger covered on a loaded pistol, but not ideal for IWB carry. Best shooting micro of any caliber/capacity I've ever shot. Primer drag minimal to nonexistent, x-ray 3 day/night sights, save me spending $150+ buying/installing inferior aftermarket night sights. The front dot super easy to pick up in daylight, and at night the front tritium is larger than rear, a huge factor of stressed the dark. Trigger is perfect for me, set further forward and breaking further forward than other micros, with smooth pull and light crisp break. Was planning on buying three 12 rd mags for full grip and higher capacity. The 365-9-bxr3 T also saved me $150 on mags, and I wish all pistols came with a cheap holster to safely cover trigger giving time to pick an appropriate holster. I accidently discovered best way to adapt to concealed carry is to lug a glock 19 around first, then switch to P365. It is a pistol I do not resent the ABC of ccl. Always Be Carrying.
Great review and love your videos. I own both the P3 65 XL and a Glock 19 and both are great guns. But I do prefer the sig. for carry purposes as it does have a smaller profile and a little easier to conceal. One note that always gets me is when some friends will say the sig can only carry 12 versus the Glock 15; as a former law-enforcement officer I would say that most self-defense situations are going to be within 10 yards and it’s going to be over in a few rounds so I doubt the difference between 12 and 15 or even the shooting capability at 25 yards or longer downrange is much of a factor for defense carry reasons.
Thanks for your service sir. I had been carrying a .357 snub that held 5. Always thought that would be enough rounds. Due to bad hands I just bought the Sig.
For carry my p365xl is way better than the glock 19. The 15 round magazine prints more than the 12 round mag. No big deal though. I always have one in the pipe so it is 12+1 or 15+1
I remember a video by a lead horder who said he predicted that lead would seriously carry it's weight in gold one day. He sorta used Copper & Brass as an Analogy, about how cheap and bountiful it was 80, 50, 40yrs ago then the prices started going up & never really came down.
MrSniperdude01, One of the reasons bullets and car batteries went up in price a few years ago was because one of the largest lead mines in the world was shut down in Australia. I think over environmental issues.
Another great review from Hickok45. The XL shoots better than the 365, less recoil, and a really smooth trigger. No more striker drag with the XL either. I love the XL but I still prefer the 365 as an everyday micro carry.
Thanks for making your videos! After much research and many video reviews I purchased the sig p365XL and you are right, it feels perfect in the hand! Amazing grip! I got rid of my G43X because it had way too much recoil for me. I think men have stronger grip and can control the recoil much better. Not that I’m a wimp but try as I might I just couldn’t control that recoil. This 365XL is much better! Very happy with it and this will be my CC gun.
Thanks for the review. I just picked up the 365XL Comp ‘Rose’ for the ol’lady as her new carry pistol, I carry the original 365 and love it. I think she’s going to enjoy the XL, cheers!
Love my xl. It fits perfectly into my hand and it shoots really good. I am not a fan boy of any manufacturer. I just want something that feels good in my hand and shoots when I pull the trigger. Havnt had ANY issues.
I am a fan of Hickok 45 and was impressed with this video. I swapped my EDC from a M&P Shield 380 EZ (8+1 rounds of Hornady 380 95 gr FTX) to the Sig P365 XL (12+1 rounds of Hornady 9 mm 115 gr FTX) The Sig is smaller than the Smith and uses more powerful rounds. I keep my EZ in the night stand now.
I’ve have glocks tarus hell cats and I must say the sig sauer Xl p365 has got to be one of the most smoothest guns with reliable compact ability feels slick sure the extra size is just a bit noticeable but the thinness makes up for it with amazing accuracy it’s a must buy.
Hey Ed, hope all is good. May I ask how reliable the p365xl compared to the Glocks? where I live the Glocks r out of stock for many months but the SIGs r available. Also, good maintenance workshops r very rare so the reliability is a huge factor for my decisions. appreciate your feedback
I bought a 365 last winter and found it to be a great shooter. I actually shoot it better than many non-sig full size guns😉. I’m seriously thinking of getting the 365XL since I predominantly belt carry. Thanks for the review!
I love my Sig P365. After 6k+ rounds, I haven’t had as much as a hiccup out of it. I’m sure the XL would be of the same fit, finish, quality.and reliability.
P365 in any model is a great firearm. I have 3. The basic 365, a 365 xl, and a 365 SAS. All of them are flawless shooters although I must say I am not a fan of Sigs SAS system. Holding point of aim at the center my shots hit off grid and upper left regularly. Still a great shooter but you cannot trust the aim enough to carry with confidence.
I got an SAS for a good deal from a buddy and i didnt really care for the sights or how small the grip was. I ended up buying a new slide with regular iron sights and an XL grip module and it made a world of difference. Basically modified it into a P365X, love it
Hickok with all the free advertisement you have done for these gunmakers they are to make you your own Hickok brand gun. let you build it to your specs and size 💯 Limited edition Hickok 45
This is off topic but Glock should make a Hickok45 edition pistol. The guy is a legend. Im going to look into a Sig. Looks good and the trigger looks like it has a smooth pull.
It has a creep-free pull, and a very smooth break. It breaks at a comfortable distance for all hand sizes, and has a nice short reset. It's probably around 6 lbs, but it's so smooth it feels like 4. (that all goes for both of them) The flat trigger on the xl feels a little nicer to me. Nice sights on both too. Honestly I like the non-xl best for it's size, but I would really like to see an updated version of the non-xl with the flat trigger. I doubt we'll see a non-xl with the top plate, since the slide is so light any 'additions' would be pretty questionable for functionality without a correspondingly lighter spring.
Hickok 45 makes any gun that functions properly look amazing. I can see Bud's Gun Shop and Federal sends them so much. Great content. Always a a great way to start the morning. Everybody have a great day!
Just got back from range day with my P365. It’s amazing how quickly you get used to shooting a micro 9 mm. I’d like to try out the XL and that straight trigger.
Yesterday I rented 5 pistols to compare to the p365XL at the range. I have medium size hands and decided that comfort/accuracy while shooting was one of the most important things for me. Guns I rented were: • Glock 43 • Glock 26 • Glock 19 • M&P Shield • Taurus Slim 9mm (just to try a different price range) • Sig p365xl The sig out performed all of them. Glock 43 - Too long to carry. Glock 26 - Too wide to carry inside the waist band for me and the grip tore my palm up completely Glock 19 - too wide and too long (second most accurate shooting compared to the sig for my hand size though) M&P Shield - Felt inaccurate because of the skinniness of the handle and how wide the handle is from the back of the grip to the trigger for my hands to shoot it well. Taurus Slim - Long trigger pull, extremely inaccurate (could've just been the sites that were off or my shooting style) had a misfire Sig p365xl - Felt like it was designed around my hand, first shot was dead on the bullseye, 90 degree trigger pull, the ability to order with or without a thumb safety, capacity and other magazines that actually work with it, extremely slim compared to just about everything else, no misfires at all, beaver tail was great When comparing to it's little brother Sig p365 - round trigger, small beaver tail, shorter barrel, lower capacity, extended magazines make it the EXACT shape of the XL with the same rounds, magazine doesn't eject as well because it hits your palm and then pinches your pinky when you're reloading fast Sig p365xl - Flat trigger, longer beaver tail, longer barrel by half inch, higher capacity magazine, mag easier to eject, less recoil I'm planning to make the 365XL my conceal carry. It really is amazing. They're also planning to release a new site for it soon.
Hickok is like the 2A Mr. Rogers. I bought the 365 last year after wanting it for years but it was a little small for my bear mittens. I bought a XL grip and threw the slide on. Basically a poor man’s p365x. Added talon grips and a hogue grip and it’s better than perfect. My fave carry gun to date.
I went to buy one, the one I bought was labled as a 365xl but in reality it was a 365x. Difference is, the slide is the 365 length while the grip is the xl. The version i got was the "tac pac" edition, plate cut for an optic, flat trigger, flush 12 rd mags and let me say for my mid sized brothers (5'10) its a perfect size. A little lighter and shorter than the XL which already is tiny, but with the same grip benefits of having flush 12rds and a plate for optics. Definetly seems like the best of both worlds, would highly recommend checking one out before buying a 365 or an xl
What a difference a year makes! Walked through academy yesterday (September 2020) and there was 4 handguns in the case and NO handgun ammo at all! Here Hickok45 is spending 9MM like there wasn't an ammo shortage coming up..LOL......My purchases then make me feel good now! On guns and ammo both! Keep shooting Hickok45...love those videos! I never buy a gun until I see if Hickok45 has reviewed it.
Hickok 45. Is there any pistol you cannot shoot good. You are just a joy to watch, with a fantastic sense of humor. Love to watch your videos ,it does get kind of expensive though cause I want to buy every gun you test. If I could only shoot half as good as you !!
I've carried a regular P365 for a few years now. Not so long ago I added a P365XL, including a red dot sight. I don't carry it, but it's loads of fun to shoot. No issues with any of my Sigs.
Just bought one after dry firing it at the store for two weeks straight. The dealer probably thought I was never gonna buy it but I couldn't find a single bad review or feature I thought was a deal breaker. Die hard glock fan but the 43 is just wrong ergonomically. Cant wait to carry this new gun.
The fact that Hickok chooses a P365 as his conceal carry firearm speaks volumes. I now also carry a P365. Thanks Hickok.

Which IWB holster are you rocking? Thx
No one likes the SAS
Got the original 365. Love it. Spent $35 and got an XL grip module and put the firing group and slide from the original on XL grip module. So now I have a long frame short slide 365. Love this configuration thanks to the modularity of Sig's striker fired system.
Also, thanks for all you do Hicock45! You are usually my first stop when looking for gun reviews. Love the content!
I did that as well, and i really like it...basically a P365X
Then I guess u has to buy new magazines for that configuration..
My P365XL came with the Romeo zero optic. I've recently changed that out for the fixed rear sight. SIG had the plate and sight as an option.
I like it more now than ever!
Thanks Mr Hickock for your channel!

You can always rely on Hickok45 for an accurate, comprehensive, and honest assessment with some good old fashioned entertainment :)
the grip on the 365 is definitely a lot slimmer than you might expect. however that's part of what makes it such a great carry gun
They put together a nice firearm. I haven’t had the opportunity to live fire one yet. I do wonder why they don’t offer the SAS sight on the XL. The sight picture is easy to acquire.
I don’t like the feel of the grip on the hellcat but the sight picture on it it pretty good too.
Wilson combat grip is fantastic and a cheap upgrade for any 365
One thing I really like about hickok is that he his safety language "Its empty" is worked right into his natural speech
I love watching those bullets track in to the gong
That was amazing. Looked like a slider going in there from a great pitcher.

@@hank3578 what about recoil? i normally carry glock 17 gen 5. but thinking on something smaller to conceal
@@hank3578 any gun is going to be hot when you put a lot of rounds through it lol

I had a look at the 365 at the gunshop and the grip was to short for my pinky, does the XL give more room?

My wife, son, and I all carry and shoot the P365. We have many small pistols, and the P365 has relatively little recoil. The P365’s grip can be made longer with a 12 round magazine, but the XL can’t be made shorter. I mostly pocket carry my P365, and it’s perfect for that.
The XL doesn’t have striker drag
Also you can buy a P365 grip module for the xl
Owner of XL... and my FYI
I did not rush my purchase of this p365xl weapon.

Love my SIG's, had them for year's with zero problems. Older P250 models, but still super dependable.
You are the only person I know who can play a concert with a pistol.
because of your reviews, i finally pulled the trigger so to speak and purchased the 365xl! 10 day wait period here i stupid WA State. can’t wait to try it out!
I really like it. I'm often torn between it and my G43X for pocket carry.
To put it in perspective how thin the 356 is, it's about a tenth of an inch thicker than my lc9s which holds 7 rounds... Pretty awesome

Yes, the P365XL is a very nice pistol, one of my very favorites. It's what I've been carrying for a few months, except with the shorter slide.

That's the only time I'd buy a glock.
Got mine on the way. been looking at this one studying it for awhile and finally got it on the way.
Yesterday I rented 5 pistols to compare to the p365XL at the range.
I have medium size hands and decided that comfort/accuracy while shooting was one of the most important things for me.
Guns I rented were:
• Glock 43
• Glock 26
• Glock 19
• M&P Shield
• Taurus Slim 9mm (just to try a different price range)
• Sig p365xl
The sig out performed all of them.
Glock 43 - Too long to carry.
Glock 26 - Too wide to carry inside the waist band for me and the grip tore my palm up completely
Glock 19 - too wide and too long (second most accurate shooting compared to the sig for my hand size though)
M&P Shield - Felt inaccurate because of the skinniness of the handle and how wide the handle is from the back of the grip to the trigger for my hands to shoot it well.
Taurus Slim - Long trigger pull, extremely inaccurate (could've just been the sites that were off or my shooting style) had a misfire
Sig p365xl - Felt like it was designed around my hand, first shot was dead on the bullseye, 90 degree trigger pull, the ability to order with or without a thumb safety, capacity and other magazines that actually work with it, extremely slim compared to just about everything else, no misfires at all, beaver tail was great
When comparing to it's little brother
Sig p365 - round trigger, small beaver tail, shorter barrel, lower capacity, extended magazines make it the EXACT shape of the XL with the same rounds, magazine doesn't eject as well because it hits your palm and then pinches your pinky when you're reloading fast
Sig p365xl - Flat trigger, longer beaver tail, longer barrel by half inch, higher capacity magazine, mag easier to eject, less recoil
I'm planning to make the 365XL my conceal carry. It really is amazing.
They're also planning to release a new site for it soon.
Some good information here.
I can't lie. I do like a big beaver🤣
Glock 43 too long to carry??? It's shorter than the 365xl.
Uh-oh coffees not done yet and Hickok just posted!!
Bilge Pump Priorities.
Michael S. Yeees Mr. S. I hope Hickok didn’t see that!?!
Just chew the damn coffee beans! Hickok45 and coffee beans is great together. And that's all I got to say about that.
Accuracy is just ridiculous with everything he picks up to shoot. Damn!
The Hogue Handall grip sleeve made my P365 grip fit my hand perfectly.
Those grip sleeves are bad news.
J G don’t throw down with a negative comment with out saying why.
Hickok 45. Is there any pistol you cannot shoot good. You are just a joy to watch, with a fantastic sense of humor. Love to watch your videos ,it does get kind of expensive though cause I want to buy every gun you test. If I could only shoot half as good as you !!
I was literally searching to see if you covered this pistol last night. That's awesome, thank you
I've carried a regular P365 for a few years now. Not so long ago I added a P365XL, including a red dot sight. I don't carry it, but it's loads of fun to shoot. No issues with any of my Sigs.
Great video. I need 1! I have been going back and forth between 365 and 365XL. Might just have to get both.
COgunLover Get the XL
Just bought one after dry firing it at the store for two weeks straight. The dealer probably thought I was never gonna buy it but I couldn't find a single bad review or feature I thought was a deal breaker. Die hard glock fan but the 43 is just wrong ergonomically. Cant wait to carry this new gun.
