When they released the 365 I thought it was amazing, but people had concerns and complaints. So I waited until they released the XL and bought it because they fixed everything wrong with the 365. Happy that Sig actually listened and cares what their customers think.
Nathan Middleton I’ve heard of tons of people have issues with the XL returning to battery. I was all set to buy one and after reading reviews straight from sigs website and comments on videos it made me decide to hold off
Carrying an XL now for about 10 months, pocket carry in a sticky holster. It now sports a Holosun 507K, had one on pre-order back in 2019, got it couple months ago. Excellent combo! I have 8 Holosun optics on other guns, competition guns and love them. The 507 (or 407K) are currently the only microdot made with a metal frame. Prior to the Holosun the only microdots for the XL or the Hellcat were the Sig Romeo Zero or Shield RMS-C and both are a polymer body. Neither brand has had a great reputation for reliability and a hard pass on a plastic body on a defensive gun. My XL has been 100% reliable so far with every grain weight bullet and profile I've fed it. Trigger is crisp and smooth, consistent 3.5lb break. Has the Sig chassis system, super easy to clean. I put about 500rds through it shooting USPSA Limited division & more in Carry Optics after getting the 507K. No better place to make a gun choke or prove itself! So far 4-5 friends have handled/shot mine and now have XL's too! Never was a Sig fan except for the old Swiss Neuhausen stuff. The Sig Sauer stuff never grabbed me till now. The competition P320 series guns, new P210, and the 365XL have changed my opinion 😉 👍
David Craft Or, you can put the standard 365 slide on the XL frame. 12 rounds with the more compact slide. I did this with mine, and I find its the perfect set up.
@@Spikernaut You don't get the increased barred length & slide which is noticeably more controllable and more velocity. Don't get the optics platform, or the improved trigger with the flatty. It is part of Sigs more refined X-series. If your looking for a Glock 19X/G45 kind of thing, an XL grip frame is your path but that alone is only part of the whole picture.
You can get the XL with 10 round mags. I did and got two. It’s actually a Massachusetts compliant gun. I live in cook county IL and it’s perfect as this is a 10 round county.
Eric, now that the P365XL has been around for a while I've noticed something about it. It is nearly dimensionally identical to the Walther PPK. If Ian Fleming was writing James Bond today, the P365XL would surely have been chosen as his pistol.
It comes with two 12rd mags when bought new. Its also technically a 1½ stack gun, not a double stack. That's why the grip is so thin. It'll hit just fine on a ⅔ scale target at 50yds with some practice.
I have Owned my 365 for Four Years without any issues period. I just Bought the 365 XL this afternoon and can’t wait to get it in my hands for a 1000 round test on it for which I have no doubt in my mind that there will be no issues at all.
about the knife at the end, the glass breaker im pretty sure is just for side windows, not the windshield as stated because those are laminated non-tempered glass
Just bought a 365xl today and love how this gun fits in my hand and how consealable it is for being a double stack....chose the sig over the hellcat and glad I did!!!
Get the MCarbo spring kit and you'll like the gun even more. I almost sold mine because the trigger was subpar. HUGE improvement with the spring kit. I'll definitely be keeping it now.
I finally got my sig Romeo zero on my XL. Makes it a whole new gun. Keeps stock sights. Love it. And it’s the perfect carry size for me. With glock 19 ammo capacity in my back up reload mag. Close with flush mag.
The Sig 365xl has been my carry gun for a while now and I love it! Oddly enough the Microtech ultratech is also my EDC knife. The best holster I have found for the 365xl has been the black point IWB holster with the claw.
I own and carry this gun every day. I am only 5'6" and fit and have no problem concealing it at 12:00 position IWB. Was just at the range yesterday. The bullets land right where I point it. Don't have to take time to aim. For personal self-defense in daily situations it couldn't be better. With one in the chamber and a spare mag in my pocket I have 25 rounds ready to go in such a small package. I have no control problem at all. The P365 hammers my palm, and is snappier than the XL. The grip on the XL is perfect for me. For EDC it is the perfect gun for me.
The 365 chassis ( modular chunk) uses a slightly different setup mechanically. The 365 xl had an updated design that is way easier to work on and clean with less fuss and less steps
Picked this up nearly 3 years ago in an effort to upgrade my EDC with a higher ammo capacity semi just as the Covid pandemic madness 😷 commenced in March 2020. Talk about great timing for that entire year. Great conceal carry handgun!… 👍🏼🐊
I have shot both the 365 and 365XL. Both are great handguns. If I wasn't already bought into the H&K VP9 and VP9SK as my carry platform, I would carry a 365XL.
Smith's M&P 9c or the M&P 380 EZ were my go to pistols for EDC for many years. One day, while at the big box gun store, the manager put a Sig P365 XL in my hand. It felt really comfortable so I had to shoot it. I acquired it and have never been disappointed. So far, no malfunctions. I still carry the 380 EZ when my wife carries her pistol and my 9c when my best friend and I are together.
I bought the standard p365 back a year or so ago. And now I have the xl slide and grip module as well as the x macro module now too. The p365 system is just so versatile. I can create a firearm for each situation. Although by far my favorite configuration is the xl. The Goldilocks zone.
I bought a 365 last year. The manufacture date was April 2019. Initially it wouldn’t go back into battery so I had to send it to sig and they replaced the recoil spring. It’s been flawless ever since even with random cheap hollow points for testing. I really wanted the XL because it’s still small enough for waistband or even pocket carry. My dad really wanted my 365 so he bought the XL and we traded. The XL so far hasn’t given me any problems. It shoots just about as well as a full-size gun in my opinion. Even the 365 is way easier to control compared to other smaller guns in that category. I’m not recoil sensitive since I shoot a wide variety of handguns. 9 mm is a walk in the park. I think even for newer shooters or females the XL is large enough to control and get good with while still remaining extremely concealable. The 15 shot magazines come with a plastic slide on a piece that will fit either the XL or the 365 to be flush with the grip. I think either option is one of the best you can get for capacity/size in today’s market!
I CARRY A P365 WITH A 12 RD MAGAZINE (12+1) !!!! IT HAS THE EXACT SAME FOOTPRINT AS MY SHIELD (8+1) !! I ORDERED THE STRAIGHT TRIGGER FROM SIG !!! FUNNY FACT: I MEASURED THE WEIGHT OF MY CARRY RIGS: 1) Shield (8+1) N82 Pro Holster, 2) PPS (8+1) N82 Pro Holster & 3) P365 (12+1) N82 Holster ALL LOADED WITH: Hornady 115g Critical Defense Ammo: THE SIG IS THE LIGHTEST RIG !!!!
My first and only handgun so far I'd the p365 xl, truly enjoy it. It cycles all ammo I have put through it without issue. The slide wad a wee bit stiff but just need to shoot it few hundred times and it worked itself out. Thank u for showing this content
Meaning it's large enough to make a difference from the original 365 but not as large a full sized pistol like a G17 or FN Five Seven. It's still a compact gun.
Finally got mine out to the range for function testing, a little target work, and damn this thing is sweet! My CCP is now in the safe, and my P365XL is on my hip.
I'm a fan of the p365xl for sure. I've been appendix carrying mine everyday for a year now. I have trouble with the magazines rusting pretty bad do to sweat.
Friend of mine just bought the p365 XL comes with two 12 round magazines night sights also their day sites they light up in green during the day and also at night nice hard case and a really good book explaining everything about this gun I would recommend one better than the Glock 48 Also Sig Sauer made in the USA now that's just great 🇺🇸💯👍
I was late to get into a P365. I waited until they got reliable. Then I bought 2. I wondered why anyone would want a larger one. I got an XL a couple of weeks ago and it has become a favorite. I even got a Vedder holster for it. I'm normally kind of a Glock guy.
I just got me one a few months ago and put about 500 to 600 rounds and love it, it will shoot almost any ammo with no issues and I love the trigger and trigger reset.
I’ve had g43 and g48 but after I got the xl it changed the whole game for me. It’s a great firearm and I’ve had only one failure to lock open out of 150 rounds. Other than that flawless!
Picked up my P365XL last November, had a few FTRB within the first hundred rounds but has since run perfectly and I'm 1100 rounds in now. I attribute that to a short break-in period some Sigs have. My P320 did the same thing with the first hundred or so rounds and I've got 3000+ on it now. I've been carrying the XL in a IWB kydex holster at my usual 3-4 o'clock and I often forget that its there. IMO this is a fantastic pistol that may be one of the best year-round carry pistols there is.
@@grappler7343 not enough if you ask me. At one point i had over 50,000 rounds. Not uncommon to go through 10,000 if you shoot like me. And yes the XL is still going strong.
@@localguy8 im not understanding the question? Ammos dont eat. Lol But I buy ammo all over. Usually fleet farm but now days, anywhere i can get them for a decent price.
I love my XL. I have smallish hands so it fits me perfectly. And shooting this thing is a blast. I’ve put over 1k rounds through it and have never had an issue. I do plan on getting a trigger spring kit to lighten the trigger but I’m afraid of light primer strikes.
Wife has an XL, loves it. So do I. Surprisingly accurate. Only thing I hate about the sig, is Sig 's absolute piss poor customer service and their rebate for the free mag is invalid. No responses on any email I've sent past two months. Because of that I will never ever buy another sig
Just bought 365 xl with romeo zero, was debating on hellcat, what makes you prefer the 356? Don't let me down now, I go pick up my new baby in a couple days 😄. 🇺🇲
I went to fire my P365 XL for the first time today. After about 6 rounds I had an terrible failure. I was running Blazer 115 Grain ammo. I fired the weapon and it felt like my hand got hit by a sledge hammer. The magazine flew out of the weapon, in pieces. The frame cracked/split down both sides of the handle, and now the slide is totally locked. There's a visible casing totally flattened within the mechanism and one casing (maybe the same one) in the chamber. With all of my strength, the slide will not budge. I will have to use my table vise. To me, it seems that when fired, the slide never actuated. Sending all of the recoil/gasses down through the frame. This could've been potentially deadly. Crazy stuff. This is very rare and I personally cannot find any other data of this happening to anyone else with the P365. I will be getting another, as I love this firearm. I got lucky I suppose, my hand still feels a tad weird after absorbing that blunt percussion but I'll live.
What a soft shooting gun. It shoots like a Cadillac. I love it. I just wish there were more OWB leather holsters for it. I know that sounds stupid, but I like OWB.
I never really cared for the original P365 and at the time I chose the Hellcat over it, but then Sig went and changed the game with the P365X! It's the best of the P365 and the P365XL...shorter slide, extended grip with 12rds standard, extended beavertail, optics ready and that sweet flat trigger! To me Sig nailed it and well it's taken the Hellcats place as my daily carry pistol.
Nothing like the p365 👍 5150 rounds so far with only 2 light primer strikes! Unbelievable! Heading to the range tomorrow for 350 more! Love shooting it! Gotta get an XL next!
@@Pler1978 I ended up go back to the iron sights. Had to exchange the 507k because the windage adjustment was seized up and returned the 2nd one because the glass started falling out before 100 rounds mark. So I am debating getting the Romeo Zero because I have astigmatism.
I have the 365 and its the smallest pistol that 10 rounds can fit in, but why go up to only 12 rounds when the Glock 48 with Shield Arms mags gets you 15 with the same grip length?
That's what I carry. I've only shot the lower grain ammo with it so far but I plan to try a few rounds of the higher grain ammo here soon. The gun is definitely snappy, I have to regrasp after about 5 shots. I've been working on some drills and one of my favorites so far is trying to shoot through the same hole every time up to 20 yards.
What grain did you start out with? I started with 124, and it's definitely a little beast of a handgun. Pretty violent recoil for a 9mm, especially after coming from a full sized Canik TP9. Tried 115 grain and noticed a tiny bit of a difference, but not enough to really matter.
You can use your 365 grip with the XLframe. Tactical Development makes base plates so you can use your 10 round magazine in the XL plus many other accessories for the 365.
I run 115 Hollow Points in mine, changes the character of the gun into something you can bring back down on target in a hurry. The 365 platform is fantastic, everybody who has shot mine likes it to loves it.
I’ve had mine for a year or so now, 3k rounds ZERO failures excluding a broken sear spring. Sigs customer service is dog shit and getting spare parts is a huge pain. Regardless I love the pistol
I got the P365SAS not too long ago and like it a lot. There is only one thing I have to get used to...releasing the slide lock is not so easy as it's almost flush design is hard to get a catch on with my fingers. I'm sure it will get easier with more use.
Awesome video and awesome Shoot’en my friend. I have the original P365 and it shoots AMAZING. If I do my part and press the trigger slowly I can shoot one ragged hole at typical personal defense ranges, 7-15 yards. And mine is NOT finicky about ammo either and it carries so discretely and comfortable. I’m definitely thinking of getting the P365XL for sure.
When they released the 365 I thought it was amazing, but people had concerns and complaints. So I waited until they released the XL and bought it because they fixed everything wrong with the 365.

@@grappler7343 not enough if you ask me. At one point i had over 50,000 rounds. Not uncommon to go through 10,000 if you shoot like me. And yes the XL is still going strong.
Can you tell me how much food you buy your ammo for n where did you get it ?
@@localguy8 im not understanding the question? Ammos dont eat. Lol
But I buy ammo all over. Usually fleet farm but now days, anywhere i can get them for a decent price.
daughter carries the sig p365 for her work, Ive been wanting a p365XL but ill have to wait till the craziness is over
Get a kit from Sig
“Never a free lunch in physics”
I love my XL. I have smallish hands so it fits me perfectly. And shooting this thing is a blast. I’ve put over 1k rounds through it and have never had an issue. I do plan on getting a trigger spring kit to lighten the trigger but I’m afraid of light primer strikes.
Im a fan of the slightly longer barrel.
I just bought this today as my first cc and im so excited to try it out
Finally got mine, my first handgun too
same really happy about it
Wife has an XL, loves it. So do I. Surprisingly accurate. Only thing I hate about the sig, is Sig 's absolute piss poor customer service and their rebate for the free mag is invalid. No responses on any email I've sent past two months. Because of that I will never ever buy another sig
I have the standard 365 and the xl. I found I actually like the curved trigger a lot more.
I'd love a normal P365 with the xl slide. The shorter grip would be great with the longer slide.
i like it the other way, xl grip with 12 round mag and short slide .kinda like a p320 carry.
Ran mine yesterday for the first time. Way smooth. My new Go To. Mine is the new optic cut version XL.
Best EDC pistol right now in my opinion.
It might be the best EDC pistol if you like a sub compact!
I prefer my p365xl over my Hellcat.
Nice video bud!💯👍🏼🇺🇸
Just bought 365 xl with romeo zero, was debating on hellcat, what makes you prefer the 356? Don't let me down now, I go pick up my new baby in a couple days 😄. 🇺🇲
Why the re-up...?
Probably made a mistake and fixed it
My favorite carry!
Thanks sir!
love your vids. Take care god bless!

Glad you are okay. Do you have an update? Did you contact Sig or CCI?
@@VMEMotor5 Hey! It were due to faulty ammo. Sadly, SIG won't honor the warranty. The P365 is an great great firearm, regardless.
@@OLearysBMW Sees like CCI should cover it then. Good luck. Oh, I love my P365.
You mad man that's 400 dollars a trip....lol The XL looks great and I have the regular 365 as well.
Best handgun in 2020 hands down
365 comments, 365 gun, 365 days of every day carry any day of the week. 🙏🏽💪🏾🤣
You are getting good hits from a distance. Good shooting.
I Defenitly like having the full length grip without any Mags insertive. I love my Glock 43x as My EDC
I love my P365XL and just put the Holosun 507k on it!
P 365 xl with regular 365 grip module love it. Lots of aftermarket stuff for both models especially grip modules. Good vid thanks.

I really like my glocks, but the 365 quickly has become my new favorite carry gun. BTW, shooting those plates if more fun than a barrel of monkeys.
I don’t know about price difference but I got all mine from Sig
Just bought one. Takes a lil getn used too. Its so small in the grip
I like your videos keep up the work
Damn that's what I want for my new carry, thanks for the review homey.
I run 115 Hollow Points in mine, changes the character of the gun into something you can bring back down on target in a hurry. The 365 platform is fantastic, everybody who has shot mine likes it to loves it.
These videos are beautifully edited🎥🎥
I’ve had mine for a year or so now, 3k rounds ZERO failures excluding a broken sear spring. Sigs customer service is dog shit and getting spare parts is a huge pain. Regardless I love the pistol
Sig has the best customer service I've ever dealt with.
I like my standard 365 for CCW. I added a hogue to help fit my hand, and I think I'd like a flat trigger. Nice little weapon.
Yes I installed a flat trigger on mine and love it and not michen but it looks cool to 👍
Flat Trigger = mucho better
I got the P365SAS not too long ago and like it a lot. There is only one thing I have to get used to...releasing the slide lock is not so easy as it's almost flush design is hard to get a catch on with my fingers. I'm sure it will get easier with more use.
I held one in a gun shop a while back. Those sights are so cool! I went with the XL though.
Sweet I love the the XL
Awesome video and awesome Shoot’en my friend. I have the original P365 and it shoots AMAZING. If I do my part and press the trigger slowly I can shoot one ragged hole at typical personal defense ranges, 7-15 yards. And mine is NOT finicky about ammo either and it carries so discretely and comfortable. I’m definitely thinking of getting the P365XL for sure.
Love my 365XL.
