      The sandals you recommend as stylish look like Peg Bundy bedroom slippers. But I don't like the gladiator toe thong either. 🤷 The "current style" in anything for women's clothing in the last decade, plus, sucks.

    The entire concept of something being 'In style' is just a strategy of the fashion industry to get you to spend on something new every year even though the stuff that you already own is in perfect condition and looks good on you. Don't toss out your good stuff and contribute to environmental pollution just because it is tagged 'out of style'. That said, I love your videos Shea. I would love to see a video from you on how you manage work and home with kids. I am a new UA-camr but struggling to keep up. You make it all look so easy ❤

      Most people need new shoes every year because their old ones wear out. I would think that most of the shoes they selected cannot be reheeled. I just spent a ridiculous amount of money for all leather shoes with proper arch support. I will have them until I die. They can easily be re-heeled. There is a cobbler in my city too. Plastic, toss away shoes are worse both for the environment and for your feet.

      I hate how they say things are out and then they come back in. I don’t buy trends because even trendy colors can look bad on me - I’d rather find a “uniform” I’m comfortable with and forget the rest. I got rid of rider boots, not all, and they might be back, who knows - if H. Bieber wore them everyone would be on the band wagon. My biggest regret is cutting my bootcut or straight jeans into shorts or decluttering. I just thought the “wideness” of the legs looked weird after I got used to skinnies - now I have to rebuy what I already had, and I don’t mean updated high wasted because I look better in midrise, so I have to look for “older” ones to find what’s flattering, making it even harder.

    Classic pumps have been in style since the late 80s (i.e. as long as I can remember). They are classic. I live in NYC and see young fashionable women rocking classic pumps. Not going anywhere. If you are in a professional field, they are kind of part of the uniform.

    • @krisushi1
      @krisushi1 Рік тому +11

      Nothing beats a classic court (or pump). They are acceptable to be worn in the professional field as you stated or totally rock a pants suit. They're a shoe that can always be relied on. I remember how excited I was when I got my first pair, like a right of passage into womanhood. Although I own some sling-backs, they have a tendency to slide down, whether adjustable or not. Must be the shape of my heels? I've never had trouble with pants getting caught under my heels when wearing mules, a new one on me! I bought a nice sandal that has the two bands going across the top to match a dress, one band at the toes and the other further up to keep the shoe supported. Well, the one near the toes causes quite alot of pain as it's positioned in a way that digs in to the side of my little toes. I don't care what fashion suggests, I'm not going to have sore feet for anyone. I live in the Southern Hemisphere where it's Autumn and the environment in which I live, these shoes are not appropriate at all. As long as I have my endless variety of ankle boots at this time, I'm happy - especially with some pants or jeans and a leather jacket. We all have our own taste, live in very different places and carry out a variety of work each day. I doubt that anyone can take these suggestions seriously, unless they're desperate to be noticed. Even then, I doubt anyone would care. I'm sure we're all mature enough to decide for ourselves what to put on our feet around the world!💖🕊

Ankle sneakers with shorter jeans are a no go, square toed shoes are generally a no go in any color other than nude, slides for the most part make me look short and stocky….ugh. I live in a place where I walk everywhere (to run errands, to get to the subway, etc.) and I cannot take 5 steps outside in a shoe that doesn't have a back or an ankle strap holding my foot in place, never mind to run errands or get to work. Would love to see more options for people who live in walkable cities!

    Am I the only person in the world who finds peep-toes painful to wear? They always cut into my toes so that the skin is broken after just a little bit of walking. Actually ditto slingbacks - painful!
    Something I find incredibly difficult to navigate is the toe style that's in fashion each season/year. I know it doesn't really matter, but sometimes I can't figure out why my outfit seems dated, until I realise it's the 'wrong' toe. That's why I love those ballet flats you showed, with the slightly squared off toe. Kind of middle of the road style toe, not so easily dated, and very pretty.

    You always have great taste in clothes Shea, even when it comes to shoes, I’ve never been a fan of enclosed pumps and I’ve never owned a pair, I think the sling back style is much more versatile and prettier, the pumps remind me of something my Grandma would wear, or if your working in a corporate setting for a job but not for going out and everyday life, I can’t wear ballerina flats, they’re actually not good for your posture and especially if you have back issues, you need that little tiny heal just to give you some stability, I have to admit that I do own a pair of crocs Lol 😂🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️, but they’re only worn when I’m out in my garden and mowing my lawn, at least my toes are covered just in case the mower and I have an issue Lol 😂 my toes are kind of protected but definitely 💯 wouldn’t wear them outside of my home, I hate those flat bling sandals especially with jeans, they are so out dated and many more options out there, we’re coming into Winter 🥶, so I’m pulling out my boots now, I have so many pairs that I’ve never worn and I’ve made a promise to myself to wear them this Winter 🥶, otherwise the sole on them will end up rotting from me not wearing them, it’s happened to a few pairs of shoes of mine that I just never got around to wearing them during that season, So unless you have no interest in wearing those shoes, your better off donating them to someone who will, I had expensive shoes that ended up in the bin because of not wearing them and they couldn’t be fixed, I tried….Have a Great Weekend. 💙💙💙💖

    vans will never go out of style 🤷🏼‍♀️ especially if you skate or like punk bands. Nike is way too preppy to replace vans with.

    I’ll be “out of style” when it comes to sandals. I absolutely hate slide & mules too.
