I appreciate that you showed the process of how long it took to sneak up on the shape you needed to knock into the floor for the new drain. Great video, very informative!
Looks real nice Mike. The only thing I would have been concerned about is you took out a bell trap which when full of water will stop any smell coming out the drain. I couldn't tell if the new one was a trap of some sort.
Great work, wish we had craftsmen who care about quality like you in our area! I'm sure some are around, but I haven't found many of them yet (they're probably booked for the next 5 years anyway). All your videos are great, been subscribed for a while. I like this 'repair series' because I have more time than money. I like to be able to slowly spend my personal time on the careful demo parts of a project, so the pros can come in and focus on the tricky install parts.
Good tip on the Bondo, I probably would go to a thinset tile cement because I'm familiar with it but I like the idea of something that sets up quick like Bondo.
Thanks for doing this video. I will be installing a new 15" x 15" drain in my garage before coating the floor. Naturally, since there's a drain, there is also a slope to the drain. Does the slope present any issues or challenges when using a walk-behind grinder?
Amazing skills and turned out great 👍 job I enjoyed do much the video and subscribed to your channel Couple questions if you don’t mind What’s product did you use to repair Concerete cracks? What’s product of epoxy did you use? Look forward to hearing from you? And waiting for new videos Thanks again
Where did the drain pipe go, and how did you check it? My garage drain seems to not have a pipe. Either that, or it is so plugged and/or broken down that I can't see it.
Do you need a quard for that grinder? I take mine off so I can cut deeper. What's your thought on using a guard. I know that your a professional and you have use them on other videos. Just wanted your input on if you take the guard off can you cut deeper? Love watching your videos
Mike, I have a drain in the center of my garage, but the water flows to two low spots and out the garage door. That’s a problem in the winter. Should I add floor drain or float something over the garage floor to level it? This approach won’t necessarily solve the water to the drain issue? Suggestions would be great and appreciated. Thanks

Boots squeaky clean
Why don't you guys wear knee pads? Doesn't it reduce the risk of injury? It's important to take care of our bodies.
Looks great!
