Very true about the emotional tension and how necessary it is to have a life outside of your partner. It' not about ignoring someone or playing hard to get. You just need to have passions and interests that don't involve each other. Give each other time and space to miss one another.
If I feel like a man is waiting on me to live his life that really is a turnoff

1:02:31 "the emotional tension" ( if you are too available, it kills the emotional tension ) True!

I always love Dr Glover on your show 👌🏻 anytime he's back I'm excited!
Also there are at least two talks you've had with Robert A Masters and Francis Weller that I can't find anymore.. And I'd really like to find the Francis Weller one, he's had great takes on elderhood & it had such a powerful ending... Where did it go??

I'm a sigma male. I am artistic and sensitive and authentic and women love it. I am not an Alpha, and I like myself.

I disagree with what Tony said about the pressure we have as men to be Alpha at 20:50.
I think this pressure and idea that we all should be alpha males is extremely lifegiving. It is positive pressure that shapes men and gives them a north star. We should all strive for excellence, all the time. Perhaps our version of Alpha doesn't look like Andrew Tate. That's fine. But we shouldn't use that as an excuse to not become dominant and alpha across all corners of our domain. I felt that what he said gives us a way out of needing to become truly excellent in all things and to never end our striving toward that. It's actually a very subtle way that the Dark Mother gets its claws into men - it's ok to just be ok. No, it's really not.
When he says "in order to get x or y, we have to be alpha" as though this is some kind of myth. I don't think it's a myth at all. The image of what an alpha is may be distorted towards materialism, but the basic premise is rooted in a biological imperative. When he says that alpha maleness is a "debunked theory from wildlife biology" I shouted "WTF?" in my car. Really?? Too much Foucault dude!
I came on here expecting to see a particular image of Tony, as I had only listened to the podcast at first. Here on the video I see something different from my expectations. I see a well built man in a beautiful, large sitting room of a clean and bright house, with art and spiritual symbols around. There is status here, and messages sent about values (art and aesthetic beauty) being important, which further indicates a financial and social status. He is speaking to leaders in the field. He has connections. All of this points to alphaness in my book.
I'm getting really tired of guys, especially leaders, in the "conscious" men's work community pretending that hierarchy, dominance and "alphaness" don't exist and don't matter, while simultaneously displaying (rightfully) their status and place in hierarchy. Is this coming from their issue with the red pill and wanting to distance from that? In whatever case, it's looking really silly.
Bottom line: the pursuit of Alpha, whatever that means to you, will always be a lifegiving, healthy pursuit that will create excellence. There is no shortcut to this.

No I literally thought the same thing. All men need a battle to fight, and I think you stated that here beautifully. There’s something about having or fighting for a purpose that just fill the heart of a man

The opposite to crazy is sane. I think a better phrasing would be that the opposite to “overly nice” is “overly bad/evil”. It’s the “overly” part that’s addressing what you really are trying to address with “the opposite to crazy is still crazy”.

Weirdly, what calls my attention the most about this video, is Robert's undivided attention when someone else is speaking. Nowadays that's so rare, most of us are looking at 3 screens while thinking of when to interrupt the other guy

Don't get me wrong, most of dating coaches are good coaches, the only thing that irritates me,it's when they say the word FEAR,been Afraid to aproach women,
i do not think it's Fear,at least not for me,it's just that you get tired of the freaking drama of rejection, and all of that comes with it. Us men like drama, but a good
    drama,not shallow crap drama.

Glover is great. But his message and impact are neutered by his refusal to question the false historical myths underlying the Patriarchy Narrative.

this episode makes no sense! Why would I want a girlfriend if its not to be loved by her in some capacity? Are you talking about neediness? Thats something completely different. The only reason to seek a relationship with a female other than kids or marriage is to have love, companionship, and sex.

don't bro, it is not worth it, no woman is worth taking your life. Get the book and find one of the "no more mr nice guy" groups. You need men around you who are in your shoes. Also the book by Michael Pariser "no more Mr Nice Guy : A Heros Story" is a very good book that will help you effectively work on that step by step!!
