Wtf, you didn’t use the spring compressor to remove the front strut springs?? Your way looks like a easy ad safe way to do it, I’ve never seen one do it like that before
Hey you know if you left the top hat on the front installed you could have used the jack to compress the new spring into place then bolt it in the same way you took it out by bolting the bottom in then the strut.
Yea bro u earned a sub with me keep up the good work i have a 07 like urs love these mustangs planning on lowering mine i got 20x10 rear 20x8 front whats ur tires sizes so i can have the perfect fitment like urs
I love this video. I already know how to do this but wanted to know any tips if there were any before I do it in a week with my kit. Btw I love the 1.25 mark. "let it down... Slowly" *drops that bitch at Mach 3*. Loved it. Made my day better
So if I went to a shop to get lowering springs installed all I would need to bring is the springs (sorry never had it done so I have no clue) is that correct?
Yep, I would recommend changing the shocks/struts too if you feel inclined. I've also read that when you lower it it's good to get an adjustable panhard bar. But all I changed was the springs so that's all you'd need.
On the side rear jacking points. Since I didn't use them to jack the car up I put the jack stands there. There are plenty of diagrams on google if you're not sure. :D
Any standard size torque wrench that does ft lb’s and not inch lbs would work. They sell them at any auto parts store or you can get a decently priced one that works well and lasts long at Harbor Freight. I’ve had like 3 break from Autozone but my Harbor Freight one has been going strong.
whats up ethan, do you need to use the spring compressor for the back? or do you just take off the bolts for the sway bar and shock and use the jack to compress them when you jack it back up?
bodybuildingdaily news nothing, I just dropped the rear axle after taking the shock and sway bar bolts and you can just pull out the old springs and throw in the new ones. As long as they’re seated correctly, when you put it all back together it’ll be good.
@@Ethan_3V thanks for the response bro. So when you undo the sway bar bolts and the shock do you completely remove the shock or is it like the sway bar where you only undo one? Then after you do that its safe to drop the back axle?
bodybuildingdaily news The only thing holding the axle up to the car is the shocks once you remove the sway bar. You only have to remove the two bolts on the bottom and the shocks will hang by the top. Make sure you have a jack under the differential because once those shock bolts are out it’s gonna fall.
@@Ethan_3V hell yeah bro I got all the tools and a nice Jack like your harbor freight one. Thanks for the info bro. I really appreciate it bro. New sub
@@JorgeSanchez-ev6ku I tried not to but I ended up needing it to put the new springs back on the car. I’m sure I could have without it but I just wanted to get it done 😂
Love that you added torque specs to this. Great video man!
BBQCHKNALERT 850 thank you!
Thank you for the video, your notes and showing was spot on. I installed and it’s much better now. Thank you again
Judt got it all done bro thanks. Hella clean. Your way was sick for doing the suspension no taking off calipers and rotors awesome

I'm glad I saw this video! Mustang is looking awesome dude!

What size tire are you running?
245/35/20 in front and 305/30/20 in the rear.
How many miles did the car have at the time being and right now if you still have it?
Great video bro
UR_AL_SHOOK_UP thank you!
I have never worked on cars but I’m gonna tackle the rear first which looks easy and the front layer which does kinda look a little scary

@@Ethan_3V thanks for the torque specs to takes the guessing out if it

Josh Mooring Thank you!! Good luck with the install! 😬😬
do you need to get an alignment or anything like that after installing lowering springs or is everything just ready to go
It is recommended that you get an alignment.
@@Ethan_3V where did you go to have it aligned and how much was it?

So you didnt use a spring compressor
Do you have an issues with rubbing?
Subbed! What were the specs on your wheels?!
Dylan Hamlin thanks man, these were 20x8.5/20x10.5. Not sure on the offset though :(
Did you use a breaker bar bro because I been trying do it whit my wrench so far I cant do it :)
Naw I just pulled/pushed hella hard xD
How are the shocks holding up? Do you recommend them?
The springs are still doing just fine, I would recommend upgrading your struts/shocks for a better ride but the stock ones aren't bad at all.
yo your Amazon link is broken do you have a new one?
Nice car bro.
Thanks man!
The video at the end with the music, did you use a special camera for that?
@@spaomalley I used a Canon T3i.
What size torque wrench were you using. I need to pick one up to get mine installed and I don’t want to get one too big or small. It’d help out a lot.

Make sure too properly upgrade your car change out stock shock and stuts or it will mess up your ride in the long run 🙏🏻
YES!!
What size are the wheels?
Caro Quintero 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear
Anything bad happens if you don’t use a torque wrench?
It not torqued correctly it could come apart while you’re driving and no one wants that 😂😭
Hey bro what size wheels and tires what brand wheels and what kind of wing is that
The wheels are STR 607’s 20x8.5/10.5. The wing is the MMD Ducktail Spoiler. 😁
DUDEEE how did you get those sway bar bolts out so easily i cant even make mine move.
💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 is how!!!!! 😂😂
😂😂 try kicking it or pushing it with your legs, may be easier
Did you need an adjustable panhard bar?
BBQCHKNALERT 850 yes I need one but I haven’t gotten one yet 😅😂
@@Ethan_3V bro i didnt install a pan hard bar either, I don't even need an alignment my shit rides straight as an arrow thanks bro!
Was wondering wheel and tire size front and back
This setup was 20x8.5 / 20x11 with 235/30/20 and 295/30/20 in the back

Hey Ethan for the rear springs is the most spacing supposed go upwards or downwards

@@Ethan_3V lmao damn umm :( I can't even send you a pic to show you :/
SilverFox S197 do you have IG? Mine is s197_ethan and you can send it there 😁
SilverFox S197 Most of the time. The more tightly coiled side of the spring should be facing upward if that's what you mean.
What kind of rims are these??
MRR GT1 20x8.5/10! 😁
Hi, any camber problems on the front ?
Juan Valenzuela I haven’t had any problems, I got an alignment right after this though.
Hi did the d2 pro racing springs hold up well did they last and do they ride pretty smooth
They’re still on! Ride is okay, a little bouncier than stock.
Did you use an impact gun?
Yes but it’s not necessary.
