- In today's video I finally lowered the Mustang GT. I thought about doing coilovers but I decided to just get some lowering springs for the time being. The lowering springs I went with are the SR Performance lowering springs. They advertise these springs as a 1.5" drop with a progressive spring rate. all in all I think the look came out pretty good. At the end of the video I went more into depth on the quality of the spring and whether or not they are worth the money.

I PUT THE REAR SPRINGS IN UPSIDE DOWN!! DON'T BE STUPID LIKE ME!!
Full explanation here: ua-cam.com/video/2b_QwrSET4I/v-deo.html
Damn those are the best mustang ever one buying them year I got me one I happy with it my got body kit for it🔥🔥🔥🏎
performance sway bars / control arms make a huge difference on top of the shocks , springs and struts. Gotta love the sound of a 3v !!
Still modifying my 06 gt also might get myself a coyote 5.0 later down the line love ur videos subbed definitely m8
Thank you!!
I went with the Ford performance k springs
I probably should’ve picked those. The SR ones work fine tho
Man I bought the SR performance struts and springs and I have trying to get part to put them together I just bought my self the peddlers caster camber plates and one I get those I should be able to do the shock struts and springs I have been waiting a year to put these components on my car I can't wait
Any problems? Because the tight wound portion goes on top of the rear! Check out the video on American Muscle on SR lowering springs for the 05 to 14 mustang.
Oh jeez, I guess I was misinformed when I did this. Haven’t had any issues. Theoretically it will just makes the ride stiffer though because the tight wound portion is closer to the unsprung mass
It's sad yet amazing that this video helped me more then any other pro mechanic vid
I think I might have put the springs in upside down! I hope you didn’t copy me exactly 🥴
@@kaidanodom i literal just got done lmaooo, the rear ones right?
@@justinbrewer6667 Yea, I think I put mine in upside down. The tight wound portion should go on the top.
@@kaidanodom heard, ill do some research
@@kaidanodom thankfully the rears arent very hard to do
For anybody still watching this if you lower your car with a solid rear axle, you have to get an adjustable pan hard bar. your axles gonna shift
While you are correct, It’s not the end of the world with these springs. They don’t lower the car much and the shift is negligible. The solid axle will shift more from being parked on a slanted road than it will from installing these springs.
@@kaidanodom it’s going to shift, but it’ll go right back in place. It’s not gonna stay permanently shift. There’s a massive metal bar keeping it in place but when you bring the axle closer to the body, it will shift.
They look great! Can you feel any difference in performance?
Honestly not really. You would need to upgrade your shocks to really notice a difference. The steering is ever so slightly stiffer but it drives just like stock otherwise
Crazy that I came across someone else that lives in Oregon with the same car as me haha
We should meet up!
The mazda bouncing off of the rev limiter tho
Looks terrific man
Badass badass badass
Man it's gonna be hard for someone to beat you at the exhaust competition thingy lol
Yeeeeeaaaa 😂
Hey bro question. How is the ride with only the springs? I want to do the same and add the shocks & mounts etc later. Do you recommend it? Have you added anything ? Thanks and awesome content!
Ride isn’t terrible, just don’t wait too long to upgrade because it makes all the OEM parts wear out faster. I haven’t added much else but I’m definitely paying for it now because my shocks are wearing out prematurely. New mods on the way tho, hehe
@@kaidanodom looking forward to the new clips see what ideas you can pass along to your boy lol
What size rims you got on there ?
Looks good bro
Thanks bro 🙏
So all i would need for the install is just lowering springs since my struts and shocks are still good? And is an adjustable panhard bar necessary?
For this set up I would recommend an adjustable panhard bar. I don’t have one but it’s advisable.
@@kaidanodom i’ll definitely get some in the future but for a few months do u think it’s fine without them? And are you still on the stock struts and shocks?
@@tchouker1800 Yea my suspension is all stock except for the lowering springs. I know some springs will drop the car much lower and for those I probably wouldn't recommend it but the SR springs are only a 1.5 inch drop which isn't too big of a deal. Especially for just a few months
Great content.
I Like It Too!
Kaiden, can you let me know where to buy the coil over set for my 2006 gt
Hop on that hog my guy
