  • In this series, I cover how to make a spooky haunted house scene in Unreal Engine 5. Each week I will be uploading a new episode until the house is completed!
Episode 1: • Making Environments in...
Episode 2: • Making Environments in...
I will be using a combination of programs throughout this process that I will feature on the channel. This third video covers further details with mod kit creation and diving into some more modeling for our scene. With this process we get some more defined shapes and forms for our house that start to read better with our lighting!

What if you want to update/alter a specific piece, like a wall piece. Will you have to re-add the piece and replace all of its instances? or will you export to the obj file and thus, all instances of the wall piece get updated in their current postions? Will the textures remain in this case or will you need to re-apply them?

Yes, that is one of the benefits of working in this workflow. You are able to reimport your obj or other file type and when it updates, it will update throughout the entire scene. If you didnt adjust any of the material IDs inside of Maya or wherever you made the model, then the materials should also stay in the same place without problem!

What wall dimensions did you use? 300x300x10, 400x400x10?
