  • Hey friends, here's another update on my Ozempic journey. TL;DR my previous videos - I am prediabetic, this medication is not a choice I made to lose weight, that is a side effect and the algorithm likes it so that's how the video is tagged.

    I really wish doctors would subtract at least 2-3 pounds when they weigh us, because the best time to weigh is in the morning after you pee with no clothes on. I feel like that’s not an accurate or fair weight.

    Try splitting your dose. Take .5 on like Monday and take the other .5 on Thursday. It helps a ton with side effects. It's not perfect but much more manageable.

      @@emilyshaack you definitely can. It was recommended by my doctor and is a popular method to manage side effects. You just need to make sure to have 2 to 3 days between doses. Just ask your pharmacy for extra needles or you can order them thru Amazon.

    I recently went from 0.5 mg to 1 mg and haven’t experienced any burning at the injection site. So sorry you have to deal with that! The one food that I still like is Wonton Soup. All sweet things turn my stomach now. Thanks for sharing your experience.

      If there’s one thing I know pretty much everyone experiences in the first two days, it’s lack of hunger. I went a whole day without eating a bite and didn’t realize it until I was lightheaded

    I have been in Ozempic just for 2 weeks and took my 3rd injection today of .25 mg. I have nausea and a general disinterest in food, and I have lost about 2 lbs a week. Should I stick with this lower dose since I am already getting good results for weight loss? I am also pre-diabetic and trying to lose 15 lbs. I don't want any more nausea than what I am getting!

    • @emilyshaack
      @emilyshaack  Рік тому +2

      That’s definitely something you need to ask your doctor - im sorry you’re getting the nausea though. That sucks

    I find it hard to believe you only prediabetic because insurance companies won’t cover Ozempic for prediabetes. You have to actually be diagnosed with Type 2 DM.
