Ozempic Month 5 Update || Weight loss, labs, side effects & even more controversy

- Hey friends, here's another update on my Ozempic journey. TL;DR my previous videos - I am prediabetic, this medication is not a choice I made to lose weight, that is a side effect and the algorithm likes it so that's how the video is tagged.
Keep it kind in the comments 💖

I really wish doctors would subtract at least 2-3 pounds when they weigh us, because the best time to weigh is in the morning after you pee with no clothes on. I feel like that’s not an accurate or fair weight.
Right lol? I think that every time
YES!!!
Try splitting your dose. Take .5 on like Monday and take the other .5 on Thursday. It helps a ton with side effects. It's not perfect but much more manageable.
Interesting! I didn’t know you could do that
@@emilyshaack you definitely can. It was recommended by my doctor and is a popular method to manage side effects. You just need to make sure to have 2 to 3 days between doses. Just ask your pharmacy for extra needles or you can order them thru Amazon.
I recently went from 0.5 mg to 1 mg and haven’t experienced any burning at the injection site. So sorry you have to deal with that! The one food that I still like is Wonton Soup. All sweet things turn my stomach now. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Thanks for watching 💗
How much have you lost in 5 months? I am on my 3rd week and have not lost any 😢
5 months with diet & exercise I’ve lost 25 pounds
@@emilyshaack this is awesome 🤩
I have read about a lot of people not losing for that long and longer. Just hang in there❤.
Thanks for sharing! Hope it all works out great 👍
Thanks for watching! 💗
You need to try to control your eating it feels good to lose the weight keep trying because been a diabetic is no joke I hear.
I started this afternoon - not sure what to expect today and tomorrow. Wondering if it even went into my belly fat.
If there’s one thing I know pretty much everyone experiences in the first two days, it’s lack of hunger. I went a whole day without eating a bite and didn’t realize it until I was lightheaded
@@emilyshaack wow! thank you, Emily
I thought the same thing but quickly realized it must have went in because I lost my appetite pretty quickly
I have been in Ozempic just for 2 weeks and took my 3rd injection today of .25 mg. I have nausea and a general disinterest in food, and I have lost about 2 lbs a week. Should I stick with this lower dose since I am already getting good results for weight loss? I am also pre-diabetic and trying to lose 15 lbs. I don't want any more nausea than what I am getting!
That’s definitely something you need to ask your doctor - im sorry you’re getting the nausea though. That sucks
That’s a question for your Health care provider, not her.
If you were complaining about some burning sensation, trust me, you can’t take pain that well there’s no way this would be that painful
Why are you constantly making up excuses that you’re not on a diet? You clearly need it to lose weight? What’s wrong with that?
Trust me, your so-called pre-diabetes is associated with your weight, so why would you want to lose weight?
I can tell you lost weight.
Try half an injection on one side, then the other half on the other side to reduce the burning sensation
Oh that’s a good idea, I’ll have to try that this week
@@emilyshaack ❤❤❤
There is no controversy, Doctors recommend it.
It makes me real sleepy
That happened to me in the beginning too
I am having the opposite effect. Takes me longer now to fall asleep at night or take a daytime cat nap. But not so bad that I want to stop❤.
I find it hard to believe you only prediabetic because insurance companies won’t cover Ozempic for prediabetes. You have to actually be diagnosed with Type 2 DM.
I got prescribed ozempic and I'm Not pre diabetic or anything. Been taking 0.25 and 0.5 MG since March. I'm down 40lbs
This was not informative.
Sorry bout that
